PM you were not the target, although you rightfully could feel like collateral damage.
The target was meant as the one sided negative narrative hucksters who full well know they are flinging BS purposely to damage nwbo.
They’re really stretching out the ASM, reinforcing the conjecture that they are waiting on something significant enough to push the ASM this far out.
I don’t mind waiting for a meaningful ASM rather than a no news walk through ASM at this point, given the positive trial outcome, manufacturing, and positive approval anticipation and support in the UK.
I give it 25% chance of approval in UK by year end, and 75% by the first quarter 2023, and 100% by mid year 2023!
I have no idea regarding the FDA’s timing, however I think the EU approval won’t be long after the UK.
Canada, I don’t have a feel for, eh?
Thanks for that clarification regarding the subsidiary relationships, and now that you triggered some memory cells, I vaguely remember reading a business magazine article that did point out the good part of Enron vs the bad.
Bottom line is LP shouldn’t be denigrated because she worked for and left a subsidiary of Enron that performed well, and having left before the fraud at the parent corporation.
One might guess that LP may have sensed a direction she wouldn’t want to be a part of, and left with her character intact.
Just a guess, and one that assumes good character instead of bad character as some baselessly put out there to fit their negative narratives.
Yes, certainly Sawston will service Europe, 100% agreed!
I guess you’ve spoken to all the big pharma executives, who make time in their busy schedules to converse with you?
And remember, who laughs last laughs best!
The CRL PR does mention dendritic cell immunotherapy products in a secondary nature to the subject of the PR.
So I think nwbo still can be a customer of CRL for DCVAX production if/when needed.
I’m glad you enjoyed the imagery.
Thanks for the video, I never saw that commercial before, and I guess the concept isn’t so far fetched!
GLTA
Isn’t that a bit personal of a question?
What a man does with his pet monkey stays in Vegas so to speak
If in fact he has a pet monkey, it may be trained to act like a security system against club wielding people approaching the park bench, although I think this security system can be overcome with a bunch of bananas
That’s right, obviously nothing is obvious!
Isn’t that correct Captain Obvious??
LP left years before and there was nothing to do with her.
At one point in time a few years ago I thought I screwed things up financially to the point where as they say, she might no longer be able to continue living in the manor she has become accustomed.”
Well…. The panick set in, and there was no sign of don’t worry we’ll tighten the belt and give up a few things and get through this together! Nuthin doing…. If there were golf clubs in the house you would be watching a Dateline episode about a guy who used to post on the nwbo message board who was clubbed to the consistency of pate!
Now that finances have improved I no longer have to sleep with one eye open!
It truly does have 100 bagger potential from here, imo, but may take a while and well worth the wait even adding in the 12-15 years already gone by.
You can if at least one of the women became pregnant 8 months earlier, just saying the devil is in the details
All in the plan imho! (Not necessarily in chronological order)

Sorry about your mom but happy she was able to get DCVax.
My mom was being treated at NYP but despite me asking that the tumor not be preserved with paraffin to have the DCVax option, it wasn’t. Also, the oncologist tended to dismiss my multiple mentions of DCVax. My mom didn’t have GBM, so maybe the oncologist felt it was too remote a treatment route to pursue?
Access to DCVax would have had to have been via compassionate care, and maybe that would have been difficult or not timely enough and not SOC for metastatic bladder cancer?
The oncology team at NYP does genetically sequence the tumors and they promote personalized medicine in general.
Had I known that Dr I had involvement with DCVax treatment I would have at least discussed it with him.
Not being more forceful about the DCVax possibility is a regret and I’ll never know if it would have helped but in my mind it wouldn’t have hurt to have tried that option because of its safety and no side effects, unlike the other remaining options.
I’m happy it was clearly beneficial for your mom and God bless you!
Hope,
Thanks for the advice and encouragement!
I have positions in those big Pharma as well but haven’t figured out the puts and calls hedging yet, however it’s time for me to learn.
There are a good number of engineers here including myself, as well as medical, business, lawyers, and others.
There seems to be a common thread of investing in biotech, from various references to some other biotech investments. Cancer is also unfortunately a common thread.
So one can go with a variety of target investment categories from laser focus to broad multi industry.
I have a variety of other companies I’m invested in and interests, including other oncology related.
One thing right off the bat is if there is interest and willingness to share our other investments like a shared database. That could identify common investments and uncommon opportunities.
We must stick to nwbo here so we can be censored and a new board would be required as you mentioned.
Interest can be polled I suppose.
If it gets that low the SP500 would be opportunistically priced.
In general, as Warren Buffet suggests, effectively dollar cost averaging the SP500 or other broad US index fund like a US Large Caps or Total Market, with reinvestment of dividends should work out well over time
I personally enjoy and have followed individual stocks and the markets over five decades, however I have in recent years been shifting from individual stock positions to funds with most of the funds positions in SP500, but more than half still in individual stocks. The company 401K plan core account only has fund options s except for company stock so that was a given.
Overall I haven’t tried to time the market but I have tried to time individual stock positions.
An interesting result for me is that I have a main brokerage account that I have done all my trading in, and another smaller account that I seeded with a handful of stocks about 25 years ago and left alone.
Both have done well. The ignored account becoming a 5-6 bagger, and the traded account did better but not so much because of the trading but because of sticking with a handful core set of good “Buffet” stocks and trading around the edges.
I have to give a lot of the credit to Buffet since I decided to join him 30+ years ago as opposed to try to beat him, following his major positions for the big gains on the winners and getting out with gains on positions such as Freddie Mac and Petrochina before they tanked.
But enough about my approach
Sometimes deals are all cash, sometimes part cash part stock, and sometimes all stock.
I would like a high quality company to buy us out for stock, like a Merck or other similar healthcare company with a great dividend. You could defer capital gains taxes perhaps indefinitely and the large dividend stream would provide a great ongoing income stream and/or reinvested for tremendous compound growth.
Nwbo could truly become the generational wealth creator investment we’d like to leave for our kids and grandkids!
Remember the bitcoiner who lost keys to $800 million in Bitcoin?
Heard they’re digging up the landfill the trash was taken to, in hopes of finding the keys!!!
I recharacterized all my equity traditional IRA holdings over into my equity Roth IRA.
So about 50% of my nwbo is in Roth and tax free (until the politicians finally screw us out of the Roth benefits.)
Unfortunately (relatively speaking) I kept most of my 401K investments in the “traditional” portion and not in the Roth option when it became available, so I have tens of thousands of nwbo shares that I will eventually have to pay taxes on out of the 401K. I could convert the 401K to IRAs in order to have additional options but for now I prefer the 401K.
I also accumulated about 40% of my nwbo shares in a taxable brokerage account. Depending on what happens to nwbo in the future I might just keep them so my heirs can get the step up and not pay tax on the (hopefully) large gains.
Worst case scenario would be if nwbo gets a cash buyout instead of a stock swap, forcing a large taxable gain. Still better than a loss
Yes, this day to day market has produced more steep rises and falls than the roller coasters at Six Flags!
Those Bitcoin maxies can be pretty turf oriented, as in your assets your keys!
Is he/she orange and chained to the park bench?
If you’re young enough to have a 20-30+ year investment horizon, you could do a lot worse than regular periodic investments in an S&P500 fund or other broad market index fund, reinvesting dividends, and not trying to time the market.
Putting it on auto pilot like automatic deductions from the paycheck is simple and effective and usually not missed since you get used to having less net disposable take home pay. Starting this as early as possible is much better than starting later even with more money due to the power of compounding!
I’ve recommended this to my son for over 10 years and he just hasn’t done it until this year I hope
I know most posters here are aware of this basic approach, but there may be a few newbie youngsters who might benefit!
It works and makes millionaires, you youngins
I had one of the worst days in terms of stock portfolio today with the exception of nwbo and two other stocks that stayed in the green.
The one day paper loss is a significant fraction of my total investment in nwbo.
However, having been invested in stocks since a pretty young age, as I’m sure others here have been, there have been a number of bear markets and bad days that the markets have recovered from, and our recent correction is not among the worst.
In fact we have had a generally good dozen years of mostly up in the stock market.
This too shall pass and in the meantime we will likely be rewarded by our long patience testing investment in nwbo before too long, imho.
Hopefully the buying wave will overwhelm their ability to suppress the share price.
They are keeping the sp at 0.69 and lower the first 35 minutes
All roads lead to Rome, or should I say the UK (and first DCVax-L approval) imo !
We can pool some gains and hire one of those spiritual guides that facilitate iawaska and magic shrooms mind trips out in Jackson Hole or Joshua Tree, or better yet Malibu, Laguna, and La Jolla!
As long as we don’t go back a dozen years and relive our nwbo journey because once is enough of that!
Yes, I can see the analogy, and AF and his crew could be in the Sharks vs Jets fight scene
You may have something here…
In addition to the NWBO screen play “Mission Impossible” with Tom Cruise and Michele Moynihan as the young Les and Linda, there could be “NWBO the Musical” with Hugh Jackman and Lady Gaga and a cameo appearance by Sting as DI.
Aaaa Ffffff, you don’t have to put on the red light
Your BS got me tired and your threats just aren’t right
Aaaa Fffff….
Too silly, I know, but the new PR and discussion makes me giddy
PM
Don’t forget to listen to Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band album to set the mood :
Picture yourself in a boat on a river
With tangerine trees and marmalade skies
Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly
A girl with kaleidoscope eyes
Cellophane flowers of yellow and green
Towering over your head
Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes
And she's gone
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Ahhh. Ahhhhhh
Funny one, I forgot about that line
You’re right, Hendrix might have acquired additional modes of thinking and intuition towards the future with his mind expanding use of LSD and lord knows what else!
In fact I had given thought to trying hallucinogens in hopes of similarly acquiring such an expanded mind and creative insights, but have not done so. Besides I know I’d be the one who gets the bad trip and never ending flashbacks
You hit that nail on the head!
Boy, I grew up in America with the principles of fairness and opportunity for all and integrity. Criminals and others who broke the law would be held accountable, and those with good ideas and perseverance could accomplish great things. (I know now this was idealized, however there still was an overall sense of opportunity and fairness.)
Today it seems so much is biased and politicized and/or driven by big money, you even have to know which association a tv network or newspaper has to understand the biased reporting. I hope the new management at Warner Brothers Discovery sticks with their directive to CNN to report the news straight, and Fox would do well to do the same.
Like they said in a Woody Allen movie, “wake me up for the revolution ,” I think it was Bananas
You are exactly right!
This PR imo served the purposes to communicate PIP approval but also give us shareholders the high sign that everything is being done that’s possible towards UK approval and blowing away much of the negative and uninformed narratives, such as the external controls and endpoints nonsense.
It clearly reinforces the good standing with the RA and approval process in the UK towards MAA approval
