Looks like they won't be shutting down supermarkets.
Headline reads: Italy ramps up lockdown, orders all shops to close other than supermarkets, pharmacies
https://www.france24.com/en/20200312-italy-coronavirus-epidemic-lockdown-store-closures-quarantine
article says in Italy bars and restaurants must close. should we expect the same thing in the US?
not good for the economy, but possibly good for NGTF as people will be eating everything at home for next few weeks?
Have you heard of Coronavirus? Markets are down all around, but people stuck at home will probably be watching lots of tv and eating lots of ice cream
And making lots of babies!!!
Could be huge growth coming here.
Hamm began liquidating for good reason
Take note!!!
Hahahahahahahhahaaaaaaaahahahaaa
That’s what you said at $28!!!!!
Remember?
Before it lost 75% of its value in a month?
Remember I told you so!!
I personally would NOT want to be in here with a cost basis in the upper $20's
still have a few months to go...I guess anything is possible.
This is CLeaRly not a good investment. I'd hate to have bought up around $28 just a couple of months ago. Yikes!!
last one out please turn off the oil lamp
OUCH! Strong buy 7 weeks ago at over $30?? really? now down what? 75%...
what were they thinking?
For the week ending Friday, March 6th, the Company received orders for twelve pallets of product, almost all of it to refill existing retail partners. Each pallet contains approximately 2,000 pints of Nightfood ice cream.
This has been a record quarter for supermarket reorder volume. In addition, a significant amount of product has been shipped to distributors and wholesalers for new supermarket chains adding Nightfood this month.
why don't you try it and let us know how it is...
have you ever tried any of that fake sugar stuff? I haven't tried that brand, but I have tried other products for keto people and they were not at all to my liking
when you say it "looks good", what exactly are you basing that on?
have you ever tried them?
what problem are they "solving"?
surely you're not suggesting pregnant women should follow a ketogenic diet...
are you????
That's right!!! Distribution DOUBLING this month according to the news!
Great point! thanks for pointing that out.
#DistributionDoubling
#NightfoodExpansion
#PregnancyIceCream
To me the issue related to this particular company is that there was a major change in the outlook for Nightfood that was announced right in the middle of the virus paranoia, and the stock is down about 10% since that announcement.
Obviously the markets can drag down blue-chips and pennies alike, and that's what's been happening here....although, it really makes no sense
but then, lots of things make no sense.
as much as I always liked the nighttime snack market, I think the pregnancy part of this is "almost" a can't-miss
not going to predict stock price in short or long term, but I think the brand and the company are going to make it...and, if they do, obviously way under-priced where it is
This is interesting and the kind of thing that I'm paying attention to:
it's a post on facebook
Quoting for anybody that doesn't want to click thru:
Got this via Email on the overnight:
"Hi!
I am currently 31 weeks pregnant and have celiac disease.
Finding decent ice cream I can actually eat that doesn’t cost $8 a pint is nearly impossible, so when my mother in law told me about Nightfood I immediately sent my husband to the store on a mission.
I tried three of the flavors yesterday and I am hooked! Just need to find the Cherry Eclipse. I am surrounded by pregnant women and other people with celiac disease or those that avoid gluten for whatever reason and would LOVE to be an ambassador for your ice cream.
Thanks for creating a healthier alternative ice cream that tastes like ice cream and not a questionable block of erythritol laden frozen skim milk!
Brittany A."
Of course pregnant women will start to hear about Nightfood from friends and family...
This is how it begins...
I agree 100% the coronavirus will be a distant memory in a few weeks.
And of course it doesn't directly impact this stock
But the general downturn of the overall market (whether due to coronavirus or other) is what's dragged this down over last 2 weeks...that was my point.
in it long term
Coronavirus taking the market down at a bad time...I try not to pay attention to the day to day price movements.
From today's news: "I don’t know the exact value to be placed on being the single ‘must-have’ ice cream for pregnant women across the country, but that’s exactly what we’re set out to do.”
when the mania and paranoia disappears, let's see what happens.
I don't consider the pregnancy news to be fluff. That's huge. you're in kroger, you're in Albertsons. you've got a great tasting ice cream and it's literally the OFFICIAL pregnancy ice cream.
If they can really get doctors to start informing their pregnant patients about it, this will get big very fast.
When my wife was pregnant this definitely came up with the doctor I remember. My wife wanted to know about her favorite: sushi. Wanted to know if it was true that she couldn’t have any
The question is if the doctors will actually mention ice cream.
“Questions about prenatal diet, nutrition, and appropriate weight gain come up with almost every patient in my practice,” commented Nightfood spokesperson Dr. Jill Hechtman, MD, FACOG OB/GYN. “I imagine most doctors around the country share this same experience. It’s so nice to be able to finally tell women there’s something they can add, indulge and enjoy, as opposed to eliminating and restricting things they enjoy from their diets.”
Well, that escalated quickly
Looks like an important execution point with tons of leverage
Interesting stuff
sounds delicious...they have a great product.
out of all the flavors you tried, which did you like the most?
so, you're saying they didn't taste it because it tastes bad? But I thought you claimed NGTF paid them Billions to get on the show???
Here are some TV hosts that thought it was AMAZING: https://nightfood.com/buzz/
you'll have to scroll down a bit to see all the vidoes.
I think the guy on Yahoo couldn't stop eating it. neither could the guy from Dr. and the Diva, and Good Day Sacramento loved it. that was like 8 people.
don't blink...things happen fast around here
Wow. Super easy!
Great new addition
You can request a product faster than some posters can blink
I think what he stated is that the retailers typically won’t approve an announcement until product is on shelf and that he wants to announce as early as possible
Perhaps you blinked and missed it???
And that he would always defer to the wishes of the retailer over the curiosity of investors (which makes a ton of sense to me....).
I’m sure he must have gotten approval from the retailer before releasing. So, there it is
Don’t blink. Things move fast around here
Have you ever tried enlightened or halo top?
Time to go to Walmart and do the same thing!!
Yup!! Kroger and now Albertsons!!
Was that before or after the stuff you brought up last week from 2008?
I think it’s great
You didn’t like it?
All my opinion of course
Future looks bright. Tons of upside here. Maybe some people don’t think any pregnant women will choose the ice cream recommended by their yoga teachers, their doctors, and the American pregnancy association
I think they will.
That means the company will succeed and be worth much more than it is now. Peaks and dips don’t change that
Doesn’t take many pregnant women for this thing to have a market cap way above what it is now.
And if they do carve out a market of pregnant women, makes them more valuable for acquiring
All my opinion, of course
Up about 80% YTD
Don’t get caught short. They said there’s more news coming soon
Blood red AGAIN
I bet the founder is happy he began aggressively liquidating a couple of months ago when this was close to $40/share
Right. A good forum needs intelligent discussion, open mindedness, and crazy conspiracy theories that are proven wrong time and again
A good healthy dose of paranoia helps, along with people spending time on the board of penny stocks that think all penny stocks are scams is also useful
NGTF board has it all. A great company with lots of upside, some favorable opinions, some dissenting opinions, and some “other” opinions that deserve far less attention than they’ve been getting lately
Their product is good, market is great, and it’s easy to see why investors and media are excited, along with consumers
Both stocks in the toilet. Great analogy!!
Not upset about anything. I’m not invested in CLR which has dropped from $34.15 to $21.90 in just a few weeks
I’m surprised it’s held up as well as it has
And like CLR, the other company you mentioned has lost BILLIONS in market cap here in 2020
You sure can pick ‘em. Great example. What’s next? You’ll tell me you bought stock in the Hindenburg Corp??
Have a nice day
Is your point that what people eat before bed does NOT matter?
Is that your position?
Please be clear. Regardless of what you think of the company, when you mention a voodoo doll it makes me think maybe you don’t believe that what you eat can mess with your sleep or help you sleep better
Please clarify
Because dr Breus doesn’t seem to be the only expert out there who says eating this or that before bed matters
here's ANOTHER doctor on Rachel Ray a year ago talking about the importance of what you eat before bed.
https://www.rachaelrayshow.com/articles/what-to-eat-to-help-fight-insomnia-according-to-a-doctor
Surprise, surprise. he mentions calcium, magnesium, protein...all things Nightfood has much more of than regular ice cream.
I don't see any disclaimers, so maybe he's NOT associated with Nightfood. Just giving good, sound, well-accepted medical info to Rachel's curious audience.
It just so happens that instead of making people have to make their own yucky yogurt bowl with berries and nuts, Nightfood tastes better and was made SPECIFICALLY for better sleep.
the info is ROCK SOLID, and indisputable. That's why this is a billion dollar opportunity!!!
very good point.
NGTF has no distribution in NY, so the ice cream must have been shipped to Rachel with dry ice.
it also looks like the ice cream in the Rachel Ray video was swirled with a spoon...so somebody maybe got in there and did something to it. it obviously was opened before they began shooting since all Nightfood comes with a safety protecting heat seal that you need to peel off, and it was already gone when Rachel got to the ice cream
Here's something some of you may find interesting. Rachel Ray took care to CLaRify that Nightfood "Tastes like ice cream" for her viewers...this was BEFORE trying it.
That's the same phrase Maria Bartolomo made, to help EDUCATE viewers that, even though it's much healthier, and contains special ingredients to help with sleep, the product tastes GREAT...just like any other ice cream. not like medicine
some posters may prefer to misconstrue this statement to be a criticism, or luke-warm reaction, but it's a way to educate and clarify...and it says something GREAT about the product. much healthier, and, IT TASTES LIKE ICE CREAM. Even the doctor, who works for Nightfood and helped develop the ice cream, used the same phrase. IT TASTES LIKE ICE CREAM, REGULAR OLD ICE CREAM
Keep watching Rachel and Maria, and you may learn something!!!
Hope this CLeaRs things up
You mean performance bonuses?
Like, some bonus warrants for getting to $1,000,000 in quarterly revenue.
He’s under a complete lock up
What a great national media segment!!!
They were mentioned at the start of the show and big in the segment
Very cool. Probably not an easy thing to secure, and that kind of publicity is certainly worth a small fortune
Rachel Ray is very popular
Things happen fast around here. Remember a few days ago when it hit $.24
If you’re too slow, you miss stuff
