How did the gushers club lose money? If the exact scenario can be spelled out it may be helpful to others going forward.
That is an excellent question. I will have to do some digging.
I had never heard of the company so I was throwing it out to the board if anyone knew the company and/or its prospects.
Labrador Iron Ore Royalty Stock: Anyone have comments?
The company doesn’t own anything. It has a royalty on iron ore produced and sold by the Iron Ore Company of Canada.
Pretty good yield of almost 8%
A recent comment from from a BNN (Canadian show) guest Bill Harris.
"China is making 800 million tons of steel a year, over 50% of the world’s production, but making it to sell to us. Nobody needs that much steel and they are trying to put our (Canada) steel out of business. Iron ore has really come off and 30% of the world’s production is underwater, so production needs to be turned off. The commodity is now below the cost curve. The Cdn$ fixed costs knocks them onside. This company has no debt. They provide a high-quality product that has to go into steel mills in Europe. Dividend yield of 7.86%.
Nice buy. I bought 2 months ago at 20.65 USD.The dividend is safe until 2016 due to hedging. Great company. I think in the long run we will be rewarded
When you raise money from a position of weakness from hedge fund sharks you usually get nailed. This keeps the lights on. I will likely buy some more shares in the coming weeks. I always liked the story. Hated the management starting ith Mr. Berry.
Im in with a small 2500 share position at 2.40. I've followed this company for many years
Good Luck to all longs
I'm sorry for your loss but what happened? The Gushers club was gushing about Devon etc..
It sounded like smooth sailing. Chris even pitched me about it. I just didn't know enough about drilling for oil and fracking to make an educated investment.
How did the gushers club work out? I know the stockholders are toast but the investors in the wells do OK?
That is what I currently do. The liquidity of the OTC Canadian stocks can leave a lot to be desired.
I will keep looking.
Thanks
Bob: I just tried interactive brokers. They don't take 401k plans. Any other thoughts?
Thanks

Does anyone know a online trading firm that allows trading of the Canadian exchanges for my self directed 401k account. My plan allows it but so far TD Ameritrade, Options Xpress and E Trade don't.

The float is so small that this stock is subject to swings on little volume.
The price is getting very tempting but it will likely be difficult to amass say a 10000 share position witout affecting the stock price. It will likely be easier if they do another raise.
AMDA
However, your response directly leads to one additional question, Did you liquidate your AMDA $0.27 PPS position?
I still have the position but not adding. My source is a very sharp guy so I trust his view.
Louis: I bought half of the volume today.
They will need to go back for money very soon. This is from a guy who has taken part in several of their financings. He thinks the product is great and management are idiots.
Hold off for now.
I was thinking more towards private practice. Dermatology or orthopedics would be toward the top of my list right now.
Two of the hardest residencies to match to. Not coincidentally they are at the top of the pay spectrum (no one said med students are dumb). You need to be AOA and publish a few papers and have strong letters of recommendation for any chance at those spots.
Radiology used to be very difficult but due to the recent very poor job market it does not fill the match the last few years. Opthomology is also difficult. A 15 minute cataract operation used to pay 2 grand.
Be aware the USA is likely in the process of socializing medicine. It will take 10 or 20 years but it will happen IMO. That will be during the meat of your career.
I would really try to get into your state school to keep your debt load low. I have Nova DO students wander through our department. One girl who just graduated has $460,000 in debt. Hard to pay that back and not have to shop at the salvation army.
Overall medicine is an intellectually stimulating profession, with hard work, good pay with an occasional feeling of pride and accomplishment.
Good Luck in your pursuits

Louis have you been drinking again??
They go to the bulletin board and likely further decrease in price followed by a massive share dilution to keep the lights on and then eventually a reverse split.
This will save money as the company will not have to pay the nasdaq listing fees. The company may not to have audited financials going forward to save on accounting fees.
The cult like PPHM board you are referring to and moderate allows almost no dissent. Query the Biotech Values posters for confirmation of this.
It would more accurate to say I’m not a David Pernock fan. There was such an overwhelming amount of BS with respect to Laviv that I find it difficult to believe anything Pernock says.
I have an acquaintance who was involved with the company in some of the financings and feels exactly as you do about Pernock.
All this talk of dilution and PPS being higher won't amount to a hill of beans should Sunrise show positive results
And if sunrise fails? Will it be because of a conspiracy by major drug companies? Another CMG sabotage? Or maybe Bavi just doesnt work well enough in cancer?
Louis Silver, you may be already filling up your glass, but were you the one who dumped the shares near the close today? Just wondering
That's why Florida is a workers, traders and retirees dream. No state income tax and no state capital gains taxes.
Mr. Silver if you are not happy with the company just sell and move on.
AMDA
xrymd... Are you adding shares today? I too think this is an interesting company. Horrible financing, yet, a very interesting company nonetheless.
No I am holding. The financing with warrant conversion is so bad that This may or may not be the bottom. When all the warrants convert I will likely add but who knows what price that will be
The problem is the deposit is fairly small. Couple that with low silver prices and little money in the corporate till. They eventually will run out of money and recapitalize the company either before or after a reverse split.
SVBL
They are almost out of money. its a buy but it may be at a penny.
Recent Seeking Alpha article regarding Kipushi deposit
http://seekingalpha.com/article/3094016-ivanhoe-mines-kipushi-project-the-zinc-elephant-in-the-room?source=email_rt_article_readmore&app=1&auth_param=lslf:1ajkftv:b0aadc4234c6d1935406b19e1afcffae
I own 3 Zinc companies: Trevali mining which has a producing zinc mine and opening a second zinc mine this year. Foran mining has tiny marketcap with Pierre Lassonde owning 12% and currently drilling the old Cameco property in canada.
The best potential is Ivanhoe due to its 3 world class deposits with Kipishi having the Zinc. If you have some patience (3-5 years) this will be a 10 to 20 bagger.
The stock pricies of all 3 have been quite favorable over the last 2 months.
AMDA: you're way to low on the likely fully diluted share count due to repricing of the warrants. It will be more like 80 million.
That is why I bought Foran mining and Trevali mining. Both are pretty much a pure play on zinc. Also Ivanhoe had fantastic zinc drill results from is kipushi mine.
The wild card is what amount of zinc is China going to produce and also need?
AMDA I own some but please be aware of the toxic re-setting warrants
Do you question whether this information about Dr. Scott Antonia, M.D., Ph.D., is correct?
Scott J. Antonia, M.D., Ph.D.
Department Chair, Program Leader, Thoracic Oncology Department Associate Professor Department of Interdisciplinary Oncology and Program Leader of the Immunology Program
H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute, Tampa, Florida.
The information above is correct. Your interpretation of it is incorrect. I suspect like you interpret PPHM data. (incorrectly)
Dr. Antonia of Moffitt is a leading thoracic surgeon.
Dude I told you I went to med school with him. He is most definitely not a thoracic surgeon.
I am however, sure you are going to get your ass handed to you with this stock.
Keep drinking the cool aid
What about the toxic financing (not the last one) with the nrw york sharks. I will talk tonight with someone who is o volved with the company
AMDA: I bought quite a few shares on thursday at .27. They have a great product but have really messed up the financials with a semi toxic financing.
I hope the stock goes to 3bucks but let me sell and get out first or you may crush the stock.
only 300 shares so its hard to put much weight on that. im holding 67000 shares FWIW.
A broker texted me TEVA is buying Mylan a few minutes ago. Is this true??
