You should revisit the SEC filing guidelines regarding "subsequent events" because you are simply wrong.
Stick to your T/A as biotech is definitely NOT for everyone.
Baby biotech CEO's sugarcoat everything every time, it's simply a factor "gamblers" need to be aware of.
Gotta break eggs to make an omelets and sometimes that egg can splash back on your face.
Given that $AVXL is probably the most interesting company in my otherwise boringly diversified post retirement portfolio, I too will be patiently waiting.
I have a bit more conviction on the science of S1R/muscarinic modulation, so my "bet" size for a risk asset is fairly substantial.
The entertainment value of watching public reaction to market events is definitely interesting to watch.
$AVXL and T/A holds true again, always mind the gap.
$AVXL and T/A holds true again... always mind the gap. LOL!
People don't have to be Anavex supporters to make good points.
It's fun to think this however both gaps were also on days the $XBI gapped too. Did the index go up in "anticipation of news"? I think not.
News is pending for sure, but that's not in the technicals IMO. The technicals tell me $AVXL trading is not "news" related. Now the bullishness of the broader indexes does bode well for bullishness in $AVXL.
And I absolutely agree on these points.
Trading halts are super fun, I look froward to the time one comes.
Hang in there SAB and happy holidays.
A yes ...prednisone definitely comes in handy for many issues. .
The story versus the technicals has always kept $AVXL entertaining.
It should also be noted that the recent upside moves were sympathetic to the broader indexes, thus making news versus "just the markets" harder to separate.
In my younger days, I think I'd put on a straddle or strangle this area for $AVXL.
I never liked the thinness of trading $AVXL options. I hope consistent volume comes back soon.
I also find it interesting how sympathetic the trading patterns are between the $XBI and $AVXL.
Indeed the trial results were great. I'm looking forward to learning more great results, and for folks like you, to learn how all the "piecemeal" parts fit together.
I'm enjoying it.
It seems the latest PR's on $AVXL haven't done much to break it from the broader indexes. The story needs to advance or those gaps will fill.
And if it doesn't fill it's a debatable breakaway as the volume was above average.
Probably, but my memory banks latch onto the alpha synuclein pathologies since my experience is with Lewy Body Dementia and why I recall the PDD study faster than the AD data.
I just wonder the plan to monetize? My guess would be an in or out licensing deal versus partnership.
Given the small size of AVXL and the cost to scale up, I suspect licensing of the IP will be where much of the value is formed.
My net worth and how I got it says otherwise, but you keep doing you.
And if that gap doesn't fill it will simply be named a breakaway gap as it had the volume.
Yes, some of the best evidence from sleep quality and insomnia is from the PDD studies and trials where RSBDQ (REM Sleep Behavior Disorder Screening Questionnaire) was a secondary outcome measure.
It was chunky and determined, but I honestly don't watch L2 much any more... so what do I know? Regardless It's got my attention too if sustained volume continues for more consecutive days. I'm seriously sick of 80% of this stock volume in the open and the closing cross.
I'm in a debate with some friends, I say $AVXL experienced a breakaway gap yesterday due to the volume, thus it won't back fill.
Anyone else care to chime in.
Still watching and learning the wave stuff. Thanks
Interesting, tell me more about Lundbeck and why?
Noticed their stock on the DKK is holding up well.
Yes an inverse bullish head and shoulders was identified on Recognia today.
Target Price 8.00 - 8.30
$AVXL closed with a dragonfly doji on above average volume, but in an odd location for interpretation. That said, the basic signal of a bullish reversal remains in effect.
Thoughts?
In my 20 year career I wore many hats and went into financial compliance management, that when I basically stopped learning new stuff as the stuff I knew worked just fine.
I learned from "Technical Analysis Explained" by Martin Pring which seems to have covered many concepts very well except the wave stuff and DeMark isn't even mentioned.
But I'm on the 3rd edition from 1981 LOL!!!
I do get a kick out of people who don't think markets have patterns and our little T/A safe space here.
"In addition to significant improvement in dementia symptoms"... but wait there's more to come, it's just around the corner, this is the tip of the iceberg.
Old timers should appreciate my phrase choice. LOL
Can you say FDA Accelerated Approval? I knew you could. WGT!
I've been trying to stay away from the AI to do research the hard way, but now I'm hooked with the "co-pilot" program Microsoft has forced onto our desktops.
"The surrogate biomarker for the accelerated approval of Leqembi was the **reduction in amyloid beta plaques in the brain** ¹². The FDA granted accelerated approval to Leqembi through its accelerated approval process, which requires only that a drug show benefit against a surrogate biomarker that is expected to lead to eventual clinical benefit to patients ¹4. However, the accelerated approval is based on a surrogate endpoint of reduction in brain amyloid plaques, which is a biomarker with little evidence that proves an association with clinical benefit, such as improvement in cognition ².

Gotcha, thanks. I was familiar with Elliot wave, but your charts were foreign to me. thx
Dude, that's just weak....just cuz it hasn't happened yet...
Accelerated Approval via surrogate biomarkers of amyloid plaque reduction is given.
Go team WGT!!!! boooo hisssss to team FUD!
Since Europe is not on the MAB bandwagon for multiple reasons, they need a different path, blarcamesine could be it.
Yep, but nothing illegal about shitty management.
I told everyone the equity value in $TRTC equity was worthless and it's the same story with $UNRV.
I stand corrected. I honestly don't waste much time with this sector.
The valuation metrics upon which company valuations are made are always in flux and none of us know what multiples will be assigned by the markets. This holds true for all industries and sectors over time.
Oldmystic and others. Thanks for keeping me honest on the $AVXL page documenting my re-entry into the $XBI post tax loss harvesting. I figured now would be a good time to ask. I was curious if you and the others can enlighten me a bit on what "wave" theory you guys are using. I'm well versed in many types of T/A, but nobody of my office or trading mates used it, so I never learned. After 30 years of trading markets I figure it's never too late to learn.
So if you all can do me the favor to add more color explaining what's going on and maybe even links to educational material on the web to help me learn I'd really appreciate it. I no longer have the attention span (thanks smartphones) to pick up a book and hunker down, but I do enjoy learning in "real time".
Thx all.
"the management is fraud. but retail knows now."
Past management was a fraud for their pumping, but not really sure current management can be labeled as frauds. Franky I wish them the best operationally as competition in cannabis dispensaries is tough in California
Is the equity worthless, yes, but I told this board that years ago!
.
Took that approach to "buy the blood in the streets" and sell the cheers for 30 years...the strategy seems to have worked out well. ;)
Note that my personal biotech ($XBI) bullishness s based more upon macro market dynamics than any sort of event. In fact less macro events the better as one leg of my thesis is rangebound 10-year interest rates.
On the other hand, $AVXL is pure biotech speculation at it best, and for it to occur within a more stable sector market the better.
True 90/10 is more like it. So yes 50/50 is WGT is fair opinion.
Come on people let's up the quality of the FUD around here. You deliver the good stuff and I can respect that.
If you're gonna be long, why not be a WGT is my opinion.
I usually like attempts at humor, but don't be a dick. No need to slight the trial participants.
