That was fun, but imo, quite obvious too.
No risk, no reward, right doc? :)
csco is great fun, all atm's are, imo. :)
CSCO news, sweet cover. :)
ss'ing CSCO, range-bound ss'ing on my part this a.m.
Agree that it could easily sell on news, but if not, I'll be looking to ss higher, depending on the knews, lol.
Can't people just count apples and oranges anymore? Or, in this case, calories. And, the apples and oranges would do them some good, imo. :)
NTRI going down hard on earnings...

re: F...
Hey Mike, did you play it at all today. Just curious if anyone else had been doing so b/c I've been flipping it up, and down, for weeks now.
Finally, broke-out.
It's been a personal favorite (trade) stock for me, obviously, since I've been playing it/flipping it at least 3 times a day almost everyday for quite sometime now.
Anyway, just curious. And, IMO, I think Toyota's problems are just beginning b/c it has to be in the electronics, which will be devistating for the company. Think about it, that lady who testified said, she put it in EVERY gear, neutral, park, and even reverse, where it stayed" (not word for word quote, but you get the gist).
So, that tells me and anyone w/ an IQ about that of a house fly, it HAS to be something beyond just a pedal getting stuck b/c shifting into neutral W/ THE E-BRAKE ON EVEN, per her testimony, it would have worked (as far as stopping the exceleration but pretty sure engine would eventually blown, but who cares).
COMMUNIST CHINA, at least the last time that I checked, and I'm sure nobody here wants to know my theory about what it's up to; yet, the signs are soooo obvious.
It just really bothers me that we are accustomed to calling it China vs. what its true name is "Communnist China". I guess that it's gotten to such a point that people who consider themselves "smart/intelligent" just because they may have extensive education can make money w/ just he click of a mouse, or whatever the case may be; can't even realize what is going on around them.
Maybe people should take off their glasses, so they can see what is REALLY going on around us.
End of my little "Soap Box".
Sorry for being negative, it it's times like these when you have to do whatever is necessary in order to get people to see what is going on (negative or not).
2 HOURS...
That's the time it took to make a measley $300 on NUVA, I feel like an unpaid lawyer right about now (actually, I firmly believe that lawyers should get paid less than minimum wage, seriously, the victim does all the work and of course... all the pain, recovery, etc.) Just EZ-MONEY for someone that knows a little Latin, unbelieveable, only in America I guess.
GOOD WEEKEND TO ALL :)
TANKER TRLG something is definitely coming but when?
TRLG - approaching the hod, scalped it earlier on the ss, but man o man, was I very very lucky.
Almost tempted to call it as a tanker, but just too strong.
Disagree - more like what Mike said earlier, "not too many stocks getting taken to the 'woodshed'", so double-digit close more likely than triple-digit/big slide, etc.
Good Luck :)
Good possability...
One of us should win, :))
F - is probably the better call for a gap but it hasn't held 12... hitting new hod though from low yesterday of .15, good moves in a cheap stock and good profits. :)
It is trying to stay in the low .6's, but resistance in the mid .6's, see what happens during last hour.
GAPPER PALM - what the heck, off the lod anyway, ROTFL!
PALM, lol...
And honestly, I was just going to "go out on a limb" and call it for a gapper, lol. :)
RE: BRCD...
Sorry, I just got too excited when I posted earlier. <g>
I'm surprised nobody else ss like I did though.
It had one little bounce off the 6 mark, if I recall correctly, but that was just another opportunity as far as I was concerned b/c the sizes of the last sales, etc. were clear indications that people just wanted to dump it and "fight another day"; and, it already had close to a dollar move, during just a few weeks of this month.
Just glad that bale, I believe, pointed it out.
BRCD SS...
All I can say is WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
What an ATM!! wow, wow, wow... that God for stocks like this, just a steady drop too. What more do you want, just made two months worth in an hour or maybe less. :)
Only in America, but I better spend it before it's only worth the paper it's printed on, ROTFL!!
A VERY HAPPY GOOD EVENING TO ALL :)))))
F ...
Any opinions on this one. I did really well the past couple weeks, playing both ways, but especially down from high 11's to right at 10.70, and then back up close to a buck; and then again, right back down and even through the 10.70 mark.
Just curious how long it can hold here (before making a move up/down), especially w/ all of the problems Toyota already announced in the news.
Dead Money or a play?
WFMI, yeah, I had still had some shares from last week that were well over 34, so the premarket was the play. I can usually tell a lot from different "tools" on Ameritrade; but again, the RSI is what I usually use the most.
Seems like a lot of stocks recently have had little "double dips" before going higher.
Overall, I'm still very hesitant about this market for many reasons.
SS WFMI was a good play.
Sorry, just been busy on the phone. Ooooooh, how I would love to go back to not having a cell phone; people just freak-out if you don't answer and assume something (bad) must have happened. It's really funny at the same time. (lol)
Anyway, congrats to us!
I tried to ss one more time but all shares must have been taken b/c it kept canceling the order, but it still worked-out well. :)
MORALS...
Stick to your morals Paul. Trust me when I tell you that money is the very root of most evil. I've seen it first-hand via lawsuits, inheritance(s), etc.
That said, telling the truth is one "dilly of a pickle" when you are smack-dab in the middle of the truth and a family member's life being changed forever. Talk about stress! LOL
It's very hard to "walk the walk" or as Johnny Cash put it so very well... "Walk The Line" at times.
I guess we just have to be happy that we "woke-up" each day, and do the best we can, letting our hearts'/values/morals guide the way, hopefully they are right. :)
RE: WFMI - I've been watching this one too; just waiting to see if we can get an "exhaustion gap" on Monday, due to the RSI still not being topped-out.
Could go either way, but I think it's going down; but, "when" is ALWAYS the question.
GOOD LUCK :)
XNPT - Griff...
I wouldn't question Griff's stategy re: plays like this, which is a perfect example of how he likes to trade; at least for well over a year and a half that I've been watching him; and of course, used to trade w/ him, early, dc, etc. on the "other" board.
He has been very successful using this strategy, and hey, it works for him and he's very comfortable playing this way.
I use a different strategy, which is a very obvious one that I'm sure most of the traders on this board employ as well, at lesst in part.
Anyway, just my .02 and good luck to all.
Actually, and unfortunately I learned this from the head-on collision that I was a passenger in during Oct of 2008, you need to put ALL of your assets in a TRUST w/ a "SPIN-THRIFT" provision. According to Missouri law, it CAN'T BE TOUCHED.
Sad, but unfortunately, very very true.
Red vs Green...
Simple as "nothing goes straight up OR straight down.
I'm still as leery as Mike. Heck, I wouldn't put it past this studpid admin to be pumping up the market as much as poss.
Best quote that I heard from lately, "If you think it is possible to grow your way out of this RECESSION, is simple 'voodoo economics." IMO, he's exactly right b/c that has already been done in the first Depression.
Of course this is 2-3 yrs out, imo.
Opinions Welcome, but I would advise to think hard about what is going on in the world and the massive debt, baby-boomers, limited land, infrastructure in total disarray, etc.
FLOW OUT.
OT/Iran...
Was that hypothetical? :)
I would not only love to do that, but I'd love to get him in a UFC cage and fight to the death. He's such a little piss-ant, I'd just choke him out, first; then, just keep "guns" flexed and until I couldn't squeeze anylonger.
Honesty, that's all I want for Christmas. ROTF!!
Iran acting like it can do whatever it wants?
Shocking, just shocking, lol.
Should we start a pool as to how long it will take Dumbama to make a decision regarding this? Yep... probably a waste of time as he will probably not do anything. More sanctions? ROTF!
I say, pull out now, let 'em eat sand and oil for all I care. Oh yeah, and don't forget to send those nukes straight Iran.... "now, that's what a REAL nuke looks like."
Proper English...
you forgot to capitalize English, lol. :)
Gold, NTRI...
Well, looks like that 1140 call was about right, for now anyway.
NTRI, woooow... glad I didn't get hurt too bad on that one. One thing you can't control... NEWS, lol.
OT/Re: Congressman Kucinich...
Well, at least one politician has his head out of sand.
Honestly, I couldn't agree more... pull-out of everywhere, and let the rest of the world deal w/ it for a change. Oh yeah, the last time that I checked, the rest of the world was FAR more able to be victimized by Iran, N. Korea and the like.
Focus on protecting our own borders... FIRST.
I wish that we'd burn all the pot and poppy plants in Afghanistan, and better yet, bomb the hell out of the fields where they grow them, and fund terrorism. Or, simply pay the farmers over there NOT to grow it.
Then, maybe, just maybe we can focus on OUR country, and bring about REAL change.
ENOUGH SAID, FLOW OUT!
Gold/Dollar...
Couldn't agree more.
I even told a friend last week that there would most likely be a temporary bounce in the dollar, based on its recent movements, but it would probably just provide for a buying op in gold.
Gold entry pt...
Same "Fast Money" guys said last night that they would like to get in around 1140, I believe that's the # anyway.
Also on CNBC yesterday, a guy was on who ran a fund and had just gotten out of its position in gold. Talk about good timing.
Out NTRI, after averaging up when it spiked above 26 again, nice day already.
Just gotta love volatility! :)
market pullback... "sell the news". The bad news didn't bother it too much, so why not sell on the good news?
NTRI, PDC, sorry b/c I should have noticed the low volume, and it wasn't down too much, but had the employment #'s gone the other way, it most likely would have gone down more.
That said, maybe we'll finally get a sell-off, esp w/ all this "good news" (sell the news type of thing :)
Correction time is more what I'm thinking, which has been needed for awhile, IMO.
Gotta run.
NTRI, it's your money, not mine. That said, I am holding a position for the next stop... down. :)
Markets, not doing too well, trying to make it up that next "hill" that sbt referred to earlier.
