OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS!
Anyone buying now around $3 will have at least a double in 2017 and an eventual 10 bagger.
You might want to consider that this is the week between Christmas & New Year. Whatever happens this week is not typical of what the attitude toward a particular stock might be.
Fact is that the news today is positive. Much better than if they were turned down by NASDAQ. However, in and of itself this news is not something that would cause a big forward move. That would take some positive news from Canada about hooking up with some good distributors and of course any news about sales of new installations could cause some huge moves.
For now probably best to relax and see what happens over the next few weeks. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Can't remember many company offerings where management wasn't criticized for doing it too soon, too late, at the wrong price, etc.
I think the determining factor here is that they received FDA approval and are aware that the faster they can get doctors trained and the product on the market, the better off the company and the shareholders will be in the long run.
As always, if an investor does not trust the wisdom of management, they should not be invested in the company.
"Why do issuers typically seek confidential treatment?
An issuer typically seeks confidential treatment in its
CTR on the basis that disclosure of the subject
information will cause it substantial competitive harm.
In fact, the Staff requires the registrant to include this
statement as one of its representations in the CTR, along
with a representation by the registrant that the
disclosure of the confidential information is not
necessary for the protection of investors.4
In addition, an issuer needs to support its request for
confidential treatment by citing one of the exemptions
under The Freedom of Information Act (the “FOIA”).5
The FOIA specifies nine categories of information that
may be exempted from the FOIA’s general requirement
to make information available to the general public.
Usually, companies that are publicly held or that are
registering their securities with the SEC for public sale
would rely on subsection (b)(4) of the FOIA, which
exempts from the broad public disclosure requirements
of the FOIA “trade secrets and commercial or financial
information obtained from a person and privileged or
confidential.” Hence, an issuer can request confidential
treatment with respect to trade secrets or privileged or
confidential commercial or financial information
obtained from another person."
Thanks lasers.
I am very excited about the prospects for VCEL. I look for potential triples with minimum downside risk. Looks to be the case here.
"Yes in my direct experience also."
Are you speaking as a patient or physician? If as a patient, exactly what procedure did you have done?
A substantially complete healing within 6 months sounds like something that would be wonderfully beneficial to those suffering cartilage knee problems.
I don't believe this is specific to MACI but it does speak of timelines.

Found it interesting how quickly the process begins:
"Within six hours, the new cells cling to the damaged area and begin to grow. The new cells continue to grow, eventually filling in the damaged area in about three months."
" I expect a major impact on Sports medicine revenues where athletes around the world can more quickly be back in the lineups. "
Has there been anything published regarding the length of time required before the new cartilage is ready for active use?

Sorry, but the offering has already happened with very little negative effect on the share price.

Is everybody ready for the next big jump in share price? Those loading up at todays prices of around $3 could be looking at another 40% or more price rise very shortly.
Remember, on November 21st SKLN shares were selling for around 2 bucks. Then they announced the Canadian approval and the next day the price went as high as $6.05 before closing at $4.74. That's what "story stocks" can do. Any good news can create big price increases.
So when is the next good news coming out? If what the company said in their press release of November 22nd is true, it could very well be next week. Here's the quote:
"A number of distributors have expressed interest in selling STREAMWAY into Canada's healthcare system. Skyline has now begun talks with several of them and expects within the next few weeks to come to terms with one or more distributors, covering approximately 1,500 hospitals in all 13 provinces of Canada."
A "few weeks" from November 22nd would put it at December 13th.
Are you ready?
"I think he was trying to be helpful."
Yes, that was my intention. Sorry it was taken as something else.
Anyway, looking forward to plenty of good news for SKLN going forward and big increase in share price.
DEFINITION of 'Story Stock'
A stock whose value reflects expected future potential (or favorable press coverage) rather than its assets and income. A story stock trades markedly higher on optimistic expectations about its potential profits down the road. A story stock’s valuations are generally out of line with its fundamentals, since investors are willing to pay a hefty premium for the stock to participate in its future prospects. Most, but not all, story stocks tend to be clustered in dynamic sectors such as technology or biotechnology, since the lure of owning a piece of a company that discovers the cure for cancer or invents a new fuel source is one that few investors can resist.

Don't think that technicals are the way to make buying or selling decisions on this stock right now. It is a "story stock" and at the moment will make big moves up or down on either positive or negative news.
Percentages seem greatly in favor of good news going forward. Product is unique and provides immediate efficiency and savings for hospitals and clinics. Just approved for sale in Canada and Europe should follow shortly. Recent cash raise provides funds to move forward. Most immediate catalyst should be naming of distributor or distributors in Canada. Would be nice to see some more U.S. sales too.
Anyway, doesn't look like much downside risk for this potential 5 or 10 bagger.

"But, you cannot find a single reference for encryption and data protection from Sphere regarding Glassware."
I guess you must have missed this:
http://www.testnavqualified.com/download/DistrictInfo_Sphere3d_Glassware_2.0_TestNav7.5_Chromebooks.pdf
To become qualified for TestNav, GlassWare had to go through testing by Pearson. It also shows that GlassWare 2.0 meets at least minimum encryption of 128bit AES.
Answers to a couple of your questions might be found here:

This site responds to the Active Directory question: http://sphere3d.com/sphere-3ds-glassware-2-0-compared-to-hypervisor-and-other-things-you-may-want-to-know/
"Q: Do you support Microsoft Active Directory?
A: Administrators can pull both “user” and “group” accounts from their existing Active Directory (AD) domains."
And here: http://sphere3d.com/glassware-2-0-management-technology/
addresses your API question:
"Glassware 2.0’s manager technology allows for administration from a web based UI, as well as a set of APIs that can be used to integrate Glassware 2.0’s other technologies into workflow based solutions such as portals."
"If they actually tested GW but didn't adopt it, that's possibly worse. "
So you continuously berate posters for assuming positive things, and then say something like this that you have no information about and no factual basis, but attempt to present it as a negative.
In fact I presented an email from Brian Jones Assistant Director, Technology Chesterfield County Public Schools that explained that the reason they had not made any decision regarding virtualization software is that " one of the challenges in implementing a non-PC environment is in supporting career and technical education classes. Many of these programs use specialized software to perform CADD, graphic design, video editing, Microsoft Office certification, etc."
So as they began their Chromebooks implementation they found a whole array of things that needed addressing. This is not unique or even unusual in situations like this. All we know about their feelings about GlassWare is this: "
"We have been successful with several applications. We are now in the process of assessing our virtualization needs." "
Again, like Derek it may behoove you to spend more time finding out the actual facts and less time criticizing things of which you have no factual basis. Might be wise to stop being the pot who is calling the kettle black.
You ask:
"What did Common say?"
Then you try to answer that question by quoting some posts I made about CCPS and Sphere.
And following that you say: "
Only one problem: CCPS NEVER purchased or deployed Glassware."
No, the problem, as usual, is your claiming someone said something that they actually never said. In no message did I use the words "purchased" or "deployed". What I did say was that CCPS "chose" GlassWare. And that's exactly what they did back in June 2014. They chose GlassWare to use with their Chromebooks. That has been confirmed by Brian Jones at CCPS: " We have acquired a test environment server with the GlassWare product."
I presume by their deciding to acquire what they did, they believed it was something that had value and could be used to solve some of their problems. Why they have gone no further with the program, I have no idea. Nor do you. Rather than wasting your time posting these long messages with only negative implications, why not contact Mr. Jones and find out the actual situation and report back.
The rest of your diatribe was basically an "I told you so" about the share price. Of course it completely eliminates the possibility that in many instances the share price of a stock does not completely represent the worth of the technology at a given time or where it may end up eventually. In other posts I pointed out that Microsoft shares remained under $1 for many, many years before taking off. Can that happen with Sphere? Who knows, but when investing in small caps in the tech field it is basically investing in possibilities. While you seem to believe the Sphere technology has no value, recent activity with Microsoft, VM, etc. would make it seem otherwise. To date it has not been proven the the technology has no value or great value. Time will tell.
"Lets not forget that Mr. Bramfitt also wrote that the CCPS school district had deployed 30,000 Chromebooks using Glassware to deliver Windows apps. "
CCPS did indeed purchase 30,000 Chromebooks and at the time Mr. Bramfitt wrote his article they were in the process of testing GlassWare to solve their Windows apps problems. As I am sure you know, when dealing with governmental agencies things can get changed or delayed. This was expressed to me in an email from:
Brian D. Jones Assistant Director, Technology
Chesterfield County Public Schools
on May 12, 2015:
"I'm writing in response to your question concerning Sphere 3D's GlassWare product and our Chromebooks. We have acquired a test environment server with the GlassWare product. As I believe you are aware, one of the challenges in implementing a non-PC environment is in supporting career and technical education classes. Many of these programs use specialized software to perform CADD, graphic design, video editing, Microsoft Office certification, etc.
For the next school year we will be investigating the opportunities provided by a number of companies to deliver non-Chrome programs to student Chromebooks. We will continue to use our CTE labs next year as we look at the needs of individual courses and what opportunities are available. "
In a follow up email I asked if GlassWare did indeed virtualize the specialized software programs. He responded:
"We have been successful with several applications. We are now in the process of assessing our virtualization needs."
So, as of last May they had not as yet come to any formal decision about what to use to solve their problems.
Here's a smart guy who is very involved with both Novarad and Sphere. His name is Mark A. Watts and his take on Sphere, Novarad, NovaGlass and Glassware seems to be completely different than yours. He produced this whole presentation explaining things. It's called: "Optimizing Healthcare with Sphere3D VDI and Containerization". You can watch it here: http://www.slideshare.net/MarkWattsCRABSRT/optimizing-healthcare-with-sphere3d-vdi-and-containerization
Pay particular attention to #11 which states: "Glassware –Container for Windows Applications Platform built from ground up • “Light weight” MicroVisor approach; • Bypass layers of the OS stack; • Containerizes app, data, resources; Breakthrough differentiation • Significantly more efficient; • Virtualizes apps considered not feasible for virtualization; • Dynamic resource provisioning reduces infrastructure costs; • App sessions are inherently secure, protected from malware. A Breakthrough SW Stack for Platform-agnostic App Virtualization OS Applications Devices and Carriers Hardware"
Can you explain why this guy calls it "breakthrough" technology while you consider it something that is no better than something Microsoft offered in 1996.
Who should I believe?????
Here's what this guy says about himself:
"My Focus I have the great fortune of being the liaison between Innovative solution providers Novarad and Sphere 3D and several specific vertical markets including Healthcare, Government, Pharma and Oil exploration. My goal is to solve generally undetected problems within organizations by developing agreements, innovative strategies, training, and initiating client engagements with our professionals. I support these efforts, by engaging a diverse group of membership organizations and their leadership to openly discuss the challenges and opportunities. A different view of Odin Virtuozzo:
ODIN VIRTUOZZO CONTAINERS REVIEW
Parallels Virtuozzo Is A Great Concept Of Cost Effective VPS Containers That Allow You To Oversell But There’s Some Things That Should Be Taken Into Consideration First Before Using It
Something I’ve known myself for quite a while but felt it should be echoed here. The Parallels Virtuozzo product in my own personal opinion is although a great concept it is a terrible implementation. The Windows implementation itself is beyond problematic with numerous issues in installing useful things onto containers, roles that can’t be added, templates that never work correctly, the inability to stop and start things sometimes. 90% of the time the only way to fix an issue is to reboot the entire node which if you’re hosting a few important containers under an SLA is a headache in itself.
Linux containers are usually the better ones with the least amount of issues, however, recently I personally came across a good example of why it’s pretty poor. A particular users container decided that it wouldn’t restart so a simple ‘stop / start’ from virtuozzo itself should have really been all that was needed to sort the container but things aren’t that simple unfortunately with virtuozzo. After almost an hour of trying to stop the container and kill any processes that were running inside it the only solution was to restart the node taking all other happy users offline. A number of posts are out there especially on the Parallels KB which didn’t on this occasion did not work and in most cases when it comes to stuck containers never really do.
A larger headache can exist on the Windows containers when you discover it’s unable to do anything due to a lock file, you can’t move the container, edit the container, stop or start the container. In then turns out that the so-called ‘lock file’ does not exist in windows so again you cannot resolve the issue without rebooting the node with even tricks suck as ‘–skip-lock-file’ become useless.
Ok, so my rants out the way now…. ish. Parallels Virtuozzo is a great concept of cost effective VPS containers that allow you to oversell but there’s some things that should be taken into consideration first before using it:
1.make sure you have support with parallels, without it (despite their support being slow at the best of times) you will find yourself stuck now and then more so than should be expected with any production product.
2. Linux containers are great for small applications for users nothing more. A real VPS technology is the best bet for anything that’s demanding and requires real stability
3. Windows containers – In my opinion they are best only offered to perform specific tasks, i.e. a container that offers a small exchange or share point service. A multi-roled windows container is poor performing and unstable in my own experience.
4. If you want to compete in the real VPS field don’t use Virtuozzo. If you want to sell a cheap cloud solution, then it’s maybe worth a look in:)
Jay

Sphere 3D Execs Live on Microsoft's “Mid-Day Café” February 8th, 2016
Session theme, “The Fastest Way to Containerize Your Apps”, featuring Sphere 3D’s Glassware 2.0 powered solutions built on the Microsoft Azure Cloud
Sphere 3D Corp. (NASDAQ:ANY), a containerization, virtualization and data management solutions provider, today announced that its Vice Chairman and President Peter Tassiopoulos plus company founder, John Morelli will appear live on Microsoft's Mid-Day Café at on February 8th, 2016 at noon EST, discussing the theme, “The Fastest Way to Containerize Your Applications.”
Sphere 3D’s Glassware 2.0™ is the industry’s first Windows containerization technology. While some commentators argue that Linux containers can deliver application virtualization, it must be remembered that Linux containers are not suitable for the majority of Windows-based applications which proliferate and are dominant in corporate IT infrastructures globally.
Tassiopoulos and Morelli will discuss and demonstrate how Glassware 2.0™ technology can virtualize 16-, 32-, and 64-bit Microsoft Windows applications and deliver them with native functionality to most end user devices, including Chromebooks, Windows 10 clients, iPads, thin clients, tablets, etc. Glassware 2.0 uses a container-based approach to application virtualization deployed on servers, coupled with a remote presentation capability, to seamlessly deliver applications to end user computing devices. They will also highlight how the Glassware 2.0 solutions can be deployed on the Microsoft Azure Cloud through Sphere 3D’s G-Series Cloud and Exosphere product offerings.
“The Fastest Way to Containerize Your Applications, An Interview with Sphere 3D” will be a live broadcast. Details on how to join the event live on February 8 at Noon EST can be found at http://bit.ly/1NlaQa4. The webcast of the event will also be archived for viewing at http://wwmtcstudios.com/Webinars after February 8. Mid-Day Café is a weekly webcast series hosted by Michael Gannotti from the Philadelphia Microsoft Technology Center. Each week Michael discusses the latest innovations from Microsoft and its partners.

"Is that where you keep the 401(k) statements as well? Wouldn't want her seeing those...."
Yeah, ever since on your advice I bought CRDS at $3.00 (now .38) and shorted ANY at $1.15 (now $1.40), I have been hiding that 401K.
"So what I would do is go and see where almost all of ANY's revenue comes from and gird your loins for the Q4 results. "
Oh, thank you, thank you for the advice. The only problem is that my wife says if I am going to "gird my loins", I have to go do it in the garage.
Hugodrax please help me.
A couple of weeks ago you said you "felt" like the share price was going to go down to .80 that week. You have also said that the only reason you post relentlessly on this message board is because you want to help poor dumb people like me from losing money by buying Sphere shares. You also have referred to yourself as very smart and very good looking.
With all that in mind how could I not take your advice. So I invested everything in shorting Sphere shares at $1.15.
Now the price is not down to .80 but more like up to $1.50. I am getting margin calls and my wife says I should have never taken advice from you and she doesn't even think you are good looking at all.
But since you are the smartest investor in all the world, I need to ask... what should I do now?
"Everything you need to know about ANY is in the financial statements. "
If ANY is involved in getting a huge new customer this month, would that show up in the current financial statements?
I thought not.
If ANY is in negotiations to sell the company for 3 times the current share price, would that show up in the current financial statements?
I thought not.
How easy making money in the market would be if all one had to do was look at a companies past financial statements. Would you like to retract your statement?
"I don't speculate much on ANY. The financial statements are clear enough."
It is incredible that someone who tries to promote himself as intellectually superior to all others would make such an obviously false statement. Either you are lying on purpose or have no idea what "to speculate" means.
Either something has already happened and is a FACT, or has not already happened and can be SPECULATED about. Probably 99% of what you have to say on this message board, in your abundance of posts, are comments about what YOU THINK MAY HAPPEN TO SPHERE 3D AND ITS SHARE PRICE. That indeed is speculating.
By the way, how is that test trial of GlassWare on Azure coming? Did you ever have any intent of doing that or were you just speculating that you might?
"I didn't predict it. I just said it feels like it wants to get there."
So besides having made the worst stock price prediction ever, you have now come up with the worst denial ever for having made the prediction.
Gotta love it.
"To me it just feels like, I dunno, we're going to hit $0.80 this week. "
I don't believe I have ever seen a stock price prediction where one day after it was made that the price hit 100% higher than the prediction.
This might be eligible for Ripleys.
"If the other 2 stocks are an indicator of ANY's future then ANY share price should be hitting about 75 pennies in a few weeks."
If DSNY (which is up about 30% in the last week) is any indicator of ANY's future then ANY share price should be hitting $3 in a few weeks.
"$1.15 and dropping 5-10% per day it seems. It really feels like it wants to test $1.00 in the next day or so. "
WOW! Naz down 130. ANY up 1.5 cents. It really feels like it wants to test $2 in the next day or so.
