I would think it would at the very least put us firmly on their radar!
Nice! By getting shareholders organized/connected with deep pocket activist investors and resources for change could help put pressure on the board and management. Then maybe we can prevent and/or make BOD and executives accountable for avoidable situations like the one we are in now.
Well.... We just dumped our accounting firm
Bob did refer to him as "A force of nature"
Here's to hoping he can do the same for Virtra as he did with his other company!
Now that would be very interesting!!!
Sounds like Givens has a TON of connections in all the right places! Aaaaannnndddd he knows how to sell a business as well.... This should get quite interesting
Nice prognostication B!
Lol! Not surprised Fish, that certainly is a big industry
Fish.... Always so dramatic.... I hope you are right with the price, I would love to average down that far!
Lol! I predicted last week, that the release would be today at 4:03 EST.... Am I an idiot savant or just the former??? : )
I think fish is complaining that we still haven't gotten the audited earnings release
Next Thursday @ 4:03 Eastern Standard time
Anybody know what to make of the form 4? That's A LOT of shares??? Thoughts?
LOL! No doubt about it... Hopefully we see more action here soon
I'm joking fish, I should have put a smiley... hopefully we get a good earnings soon
C'mon Fish, infinite? Did they raise the auth share amount infinitely???
I haven't talked in a couple months but same, trying to work out details
I talk to him every so often
I know for a fact he is not drawing any salary, and hasn't been for quite some time
Cool stuff Ardly!!! Yup, a little boring around here lately!
Thats a pretty large amount of sims and kits! and like you mention with the ad ons, that can really add up, now we just got to find out margins and or pricing
Good stuff Ardly and chi! Looks like a definite wait and see, unless someone gets an audience with Bob and can ask indirectly if the Canada opportunities are going to effect margins... I was also thinking about the currency exchange rate as well, which fluctuates, it is currently at about .80
Overall, this could be very lucrative, and its always good to get the first one out of the way, plus it will be a good testing ground for all the other entities in Canada that are considering Virtra
That certainly is a possibility chi. Do you know if the proposal that we were awarde had an associated item by item pricelist? If the prices weren't set, then possibly they took lower margins on this first purchase to get the ball rolling?
I'm sure there is a reason for it, I don't necessarily think they are "hiding" anything... I'm not sure if the proposal had specific pricing in it, i would have to look back and check
With the IVAS delay, I totally agree with the significance of this first order, It really is a big deal! I don't mind though, give me more time to pick up more shares prior to the numbers hitting the books. The market always catches up at some point!
That sounds pretty good to me! Fish, it also looks like someone might have gotten the news a little early at the end of the day, yesterday.
Excellent news out this morning! First of many from Canada!
I'm sure the super sleuths will come up with an approximate dollar amount for this order.
You might get it today!
Not sure if this was posted yet, good article tho

Thanks all you guys! Love reading the stuff you all dig up. This is by far the best board I have been on
You said $10 Was an absolute gift as well!
Well... at least that's one positive out of today's announcement!
I agree, this is open to interpretation, though they did provide estimates of units etc... Though when I see quotes from Virtra like this
"The award is part of a countrywide effort to enhance and standardize training from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police down to each individual agency."
I am very confident this will pay off nicely, when you see words like "standardize" and "Royal Canadian Mounted Police down" that tells you all you have to know, if they don't go with Virtra locals will have to explain why. The whole point of standardizing is so you can share resources.
When gov't entities put out an RFP they are based on allocated funding
I'm sure they went through the extensive RFP and vetting process to award virtra and then let the allocated money sit there and not procure training sims... I'll bet you right now every Loonie gets spent
I would think tomorrow or Monday if I had to guess... The contract just got awarded today
Amen! Hopefully Bob working on a good PR, this one could get picked up by A LOT of news outlets
SWWWWEEEEET! That is a good one right there! Thanks Chi! I been checking that every few days... Things looking great going forward
OT: AMEN Fantom19
Good to see that Virtra has identified this issue and started to nail some of these companies, I think Bob eluded to this previously with some other contracts we were bidding on.
I work in government IT and I see this happen ALL the time.... companies low bid, get the contract and can't fulfill half of what they said they would do.... the bad thing is that the contracts usually get paid out in full with few repercussions, because after the fact the gov does not want to go through the legal process of trying to recoup the money....
Virtra is doing the right thing, let be known they will challenge BS proposals on some of these rfp's
