Gateway: it is an article, not a well done one though. I can tell you quite frankly that it is written by someone who's knowledge about this duopoly, and its potential profitability with a 44million sub market is non existant.
Further the person displays no knowledge of trading and or investing, but then concludes this to be a bad investment. I submit if you buy anything at the top it is not a good investment. This has been a great investment he is FOS.
Two posts ago I said I thought xm would go into the low-mid teens and it is usually 4-5x the sp of siri. I would look for that.
I still think that $12 -13 might well be a good deal. If SAC costs are reduced this quarter then Panero and Parsons will be heros again. To buy though these guys have to get the costs under tighter control they are increasing at an increasing rate and that is the reverse of what should be happening with greater sales, unless someone is giving product away.
They have much work to do on programing. Going forth should they should take a serious look at the guy in charge of programing. There are just an awful lot of subs singing the same blue song.
I also think if they are going to keep the status quo, they best do a fall back on the Sub Price to $9.95 and cut the heck out of SAC while simultaneously increasing subs at an increasing rate.
All JMHO
69 charger: Help me out with this the abbrev." Initial production rates are anticipated to be in the range of 0.5 to 1.0 MMscf per day.
MMSCF = the cF is obviously cubic feet, the mm is that supposed to be m= million or ? S= square?
Not sure of the meaning of if most of what I have seen before list mcfpd = million cubic feet per day or some such.
Can you also include an estimated worth $ per day on it?
TIA
Gateway I am elated that you told me that XMSR was such a crappy investment/
2001 bought 16k @ 3.94 traded several times and finally sold out in 05 @37 per share. Shws 2 go ya don't believe every thing you read. Obviously the guy who wrote your article was a moron who couldn't tell a 10xer from a -10 bagger FOTFLMAO your article is a joke. I made enough on my inital investment to allow most to retire so give it a rest
Just keep reading those idiots and you too will lose your butt because they are FOS
XMSR this one has a way before the bottom fish can catch it but I think that Siri is going to 2.5 -3 and that put XM in the $12-15 area.
BOL Happy fishing!
OT Han at first I couldn't figure out what you were saying in your mail to me. DDSI looks good to you I take it.
I think Skvy will move within the next week and I think it will go north by about $.03 if I am correct that is a nice % in a few days.
BOL
Board Keep any eye out for a bottom in the mid teens unless the SAC is dramatically addressed by Hugh Panero and Tom Parsons and also unless they take a hard look at the contend. Channel 23 repeats the songs way too often.
The above also assumes no great news arrives
Han:
imho Skvy is going north just ratcheting due to traders like me and MMs. I have core and trading shares at 66% trading, 34% core. So if many are doing a similar thing on a thinly traded issue, it amounts to selling into rallies. This is not a good long stock yet, it is mostly a trading property with potential. As yet the potential is unproven, so I take profits as I have for about 2 yrs. My core shares are free now so they can ride.
BOL
Mega/Board I have little doubt, and never have, about the Market Potential. That study was done wayyyyyyyyy back and independently prior to XM going on the national roll out in Nov of 01.
I disagree that Siri will be first, they are 12 months behind XM financially, and have a picture 1/4 - 1/5 that of xm which is historically the ratio Wallstreet puts on the 2 equities. As we speak the value of Siri is $5 and XM is $21+.
Siri has good content and with Mel good management but they have a lot of ground to make up. Now they have taken up commercials to pay for Stern.
imho
Siri's best bet is a reverse split and you may see one since they have a Billion+ shares out, just picture them doing a 2 for 1 split, oh yeah.
XM on the other hand has roughly 1/4 of the shares and it could do a 2 for 1, but imo not likely.
XM is Cash Flow Breakeven this year, Siri is not.
XMSR needs sorely to maintain the increase % in Subs and **most of all** to address the mostly costly element of their late performance the S.A.C. costs (subscriber acquisition costs)
The SAC had been going down dramatically for some time, and then as of late increased. Ultimately you can't continue to make less on each customer when you are losing on each to start with.
So the battle rages: Parson will need to change the SAC direction if we want to see a(favorable) change in SP.
I sold my position out at $38 held 10% and bailed at $33 Now I am waiting for a Panero and Parsons change in SAC.
BOL
DMGS-?? jmho Gotta B missing something here:
briefly looked at it on the 1 yr, 3yr, 5yr charts and the income statements and some other key stats. Either the management really sucks, or the statements on Yahoo are wrong, consequently this gambler ain't goin to ante up til I see a few more cards.
If someone knows something not evident like new management recently or some really good deal it would be great to hear about it,
TIA
GLTA
imho the recent addition of the new VP of Sales & MKTG will do a lot for the company.
Murdock got this guy from a top industry company TYCO.
I think the new website today is just the latest example of image building/ marketing, and sales cultivation.
I think we are in on the ground floor price wise, the low end of the 52 week range, which I wouldn't suprised rises 20% this year if the new VP is successful.
BOL
Bub I have listened and read some but not all. MW's reverse merger CC and how he spoke was key in why I bought BIPH to start with. I just imagined that the manufacture would be done by new scale since the announcement made it sound that way.

Biophan Announces Availability of New 50% Smaller Model of MRI-Safe Ceramic SQUIGGLE--R-- Motor for Medical Uses
Thursday April 7, 6:00 am ET
New Model Offers Increases in Power Efficiency and Precision for Uses in Drug-Delivery Systems and Other Medical Applications
ROCHESTER, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 7, 2005--Biophan Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:BIPH - News), a developer of next-generation biomedical technology, has announced the development of a new, ultra-small model of the implantable and wearable, highly precise ceramic SQUIGGLE motor that's half the size of previous models, with significant improvements in precision and electrical efficiency compared to electromagnetic motors.
Biophan holds the**exclusive worldwide **distribution rights to all medical applications of the SQUIGGLE motor, produced by New Scale Technologies. SQUIGGLE linear motors are five times more efficient and ten times more precise compared to electromagnetic motors. Biophan has been working with New Scale to develop medical applications for the proprietary motor for the $40 billion-plus market for drug delivery products.
"The SQUIGGLE motor's unique features and capabilities offer a number of important advantages as a pump to drive drug delivery systems, catheters, and other potential medical applications that require the highest levels of precision and dependability," said Michael Weiner, CEO of Biophan. "Additionally, because the SQUIGGLE is made from non-magnetic ceramic materials, it is compatible with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) environments. That means that patients who receive either the implanted or wearable SQUIGGLE-based drug delivery systems can be effectively imaged by MRI systems, allowing physicians and patients to receive the many important benefits of MRI imaging."
SQUIGGLE motors use only four parts--about 90% fewer parts than most gear-based and other medical device motors. Because they require no gear reduction, a significant source of failure and malfunction is eliminated, increasing the SQUIGGLE's dependability, about the size of a dime (see photo at http://www.biophan.com/NewScale.jpg). The new SQUIGGLE SQ-306 model is 10 mm in length and 4 mm in diameter, and achieves precision levels in the nanometer-range. The motor's improved power efficiency leads to longer battery life--a critical factor for implanted medical devices where replacements require surgical procedures. The motor's mechanical design is simple and inherently inexpensive to manufacture in high quantities, having only four parts, compared with as many as 100 parts for other biomedical motor technologies.
**"At Biophan we are very pleased with the progress of New Scale, both as the exclusive distributor in the medical market, and as a minority equity owner in New Scale. New Scale has sales approaching $1 million in the market for cryogenic motors, and has an enormous potential in the emerging market for optical zoom in future cell phones," stated Mr. Weiner. "Their robust R&D and expanding patent portfolio comes at virtually no cost to us, but adds enormous value to our company. There is also an opportunity for Biophan to supply MRI safe motors that have the ability to function in cryogenic environments."

Hmm BIOMART, that is interesting. I truly hadn't been thinking of it that way. I had thought that the acquistion companys were largely distributor/manufacturers? Guess it is time to delve deeper than I had.
If I understand what you are saying, the company will survive off royalties and licensing fees primarily?
Have to think about that one for a bit.
Hi Bub and all.
I looked at the weekly charts, which I tend to pay more attention to after very fast run ups; they seem to just indicate a retrace from the $3.50 high, very recently, to the 2.56 area (38.2%)
Seeing as the volume of the slide was no where near what the volumes in the very recent climbs were, it is hard for me to think that it is more than a healthy consolidation. Who knows, not me for sure. I am just buying here and there on these dips. There was no announcement to make this slide, therefore I have to think it is just profit taking, in many cases it is 5bagger + so smart money is likely just garnering cost and taking some profit.
I will feel a ton better when we have revenue figures though, then we will likely really rock and roll. Any idea of when we will get some sales? TIA

john
WEll we have hit $40+ time for my split prediction to be thought about at XMSR.
1. hit 3.1 mil subs
2. Electronic show coming up hang in retracing for now buy in at 33 if it gets that low.
3. Siri buy in in the mid $5 if it gets there
Long term both should be block busters, although my favorite by far is XM, Siri is coming on. Though too much bullisnish for the moment on SIRI. Wait for the pull back into the 5s. Siri new subs cost it a ton they have to work on the SAC costs a lot
1) Detroit Auto show is in progress.
2)The Consumer Electronics Show in progress.
3)Jet Blue and Air Trans sign contracts to have XM on the planes.
XM is getting tons of mention on the Tube every day on CNBC and other spots. SDARS with Siri coming on now has more exposure as a concept. 2-3 yrs we are talking about $1 billion in sales that will be 0 to 1 billion in 5 years!
And once again we have hit a 52 week high! Split Baby Split!
Not likely til 40-60 but very likely there, imho.
Skee: that is what I am assuming, but I just wanted to check with you. TIA
john
PS how do you get the moving magnifying glass on your sign off??
Skee: can you do me a favor though and see if you can get in I can't, and IH doesn't have all that I am looking for relative to stocks currently. TIA
john
2004 Operational Breakeven and or Free Cash Flow, Huge deal for XM.
This should be a great year. Ask almost anyone about Satellite Radio and they say "oh you mean XM RADIO?" Nice rather like Tissue=Klneex or Soda = Coke etc
3-5 yrs and its is a HUGE DEAL watch out cable TV for now we are #2 fastest growing paid electronic subscriber business in the History of the USA, #1=Cable TV
Business has gone form $500K after 6weeks in 2001 to a prorated business level now of well over $200,000,000 currently. That is huge, 0+$ - $200 mil in just 2 yrs.
AT that rate we should be doubling $400 mil in 04 on a prorated basis. So $1 Billion is not that far off 2.5 yrs+ yrs. Watch our stock price then!!!!!!!
Hey Skee, today is the 19th but I can't get in to Raging Bull are you having the same issue??
CMF:This morning I bought another few thousand shares of DFIB, and it kicked arzz today. News must be on the way. I picked up $.18 a share today if I don't lose it back in the morning. lol
Here is a DFIB analysis link to look at:
http://www.stockconsultant.com/consultnow/basic.cgi?ID=sample&csite=MYST&symbol=DFIB&189...
Hope XM hangs in, I really think we should be in long term for a hellova ride. You r in at a good point.
2nd fasted growing electronic paid subscriber service in the history of the nation. Cable TV #1

CFM: glad the XM is treating you well. DFIB is getting ready for some news within 2 days, bettcha.
Check DFIB for 6-18 months-long
Projected breakeven 04
73 patents
Healthcare Sector
25%+ market share
Unique capability: It makes AEDs but recently bought the primary training company in the US for Defibulators, (Complient). The acquisition makes it unique and verticle.
It has been consolidating for a bit now.
GE Medical recently signed an agreement to put there name on the devices and market them world wide, this is in addition to DFIB's own brand.
Customers US GOVN'T,State Govn't, state school systems, the US Military, police and rescue etc.
Con:
Complient holders now have 12.5 million shares to unlock over 16+ months, commencing in Oct 03. That will create downside pressure and likely sell into the rally mentality, until serious news hits.
The unlock is 750,000 shares per month and the average daily volume of the stock is substantially higher but the unlock still tends to assert pressure.
Should be good in 04
bluefalcon: we get a small pop on the news. We need some revenues to really get going. Announcements are fine but Top Line is where it is at, the street will always just pay a certain amount for just potential. We need to capitalize, then we will move.
Good luck
LODI: HERE I IS: well u already know the story from the other board but wanted to say hi anyway!
Trade Ideas/Skee: Alpine just coming out with a new CD XM car stereo, first of its kind. Look at this link/pic hit the alpine player and it enlarges with more info.

OT Hi Larry: sorry for being in and out so much. As I just told Lois on the other board, I had a client not renew his 3 year agreement. Hence my retainer which was a huge % of my companie's revenues is gone. So I have been in the process of evaluating alternatives and scrambling.
Not much time for the boards I guess.
I will be working on business developement and also I think buying a small business. Up in the air right now though.
#197 is reply to WantoBrich eom
Very nice,. yuk, yuk. thanks for the lightening things up lol
ske wondered where you got to.lol
Skee which boards? eom
LoDi: some @2.85, 3.50, 4.00, 5.00, 8.50, 9.0, 12, 13, 15, 20
All told about 16k shares but I took profit on it a while ago and cashed out 2/3 @15, looks pretty damn stupid now! But I am working with free shares now so it ok I guess.
Wally: RB stb again this a.m., and from the looks DFIB isn't setting any records either. How was thanksgiving for ya?
Wanto: Very Nice post! Do you have XM??
Hi LoDI: once again I am negligent in my correspondence, Sorry!
See you got a new Alias! Hope ya had a great Turkeyday!
Larry:Do you have both XM & Siri? Sorry to not get back, been tied up, not trying to be rude. Thanks for the email!
Think we are off to the races!
Tradeideas: well it hit your target, but I think it is just getting started. The street has just started taking notice look at the institutional ownership now 68% of the stock's 160mil out shrs.
This was dubbed the fastest electronic subscriber service since cable TV so it ain't nearly over, just getting started. imho we have several splits to come before this stock matures. My guess is 4 or more splits in 10 years keeping the price in the 20-30 range.
I think patience on this one will make you a very wealthy holder/
Hi guys, great stock and great product. I have had both since Nov 01 and they are both truly outstanding.
Not a tout just my experience.
Good Luck
imho: We could go way up in the next 2-3 years, one analyst puts the stock as high as $196pps. It is now listed as the second fastest growing paid subscriber service in the history of America, now that is something in my book!
One thing that is very cool is that we are for all practical purposes with 90%+ market share in a duopoly, a MONOPOLY. XM is in a brand new market with only 2 FCC licences ever issued and very weak competition.
Great Technology and GE medical Partnering, plus some very nice business, should result in a very good 04! jmho
