ViewMaster said it was Airdale1 who went to the show.
Hoping for the best in a tragic situation.
GLTA!
Thanks for setting that straight for us, AK.
The enormous puzzle that this CGFIA project has become over the years is falling in place. (and all of the pieces are there, too!)
So, come on DRMS, cut us loose from the dock and lets get this Flotilla moving on to better places!
I want to be able to buy a better quality grog!
Are you going to get the lights and lock up tonight, AK, or should I?
Thanks, Sugar.
Is my memory failing me. Can you remember if anyone from this board said they were going to the air show?
I could be mixing this up with one of my other boards. I know at least one person from that other board did go.
I'm praying that I was mistaken and no one here was in danger.
Thanks in advance. Hoping for the best of a tragic situation.
No problem, DLC.
I'm taking steroids to grow a few extra digits. I figure I'll need them so I can count my money when CGFIA takes off.
I don't trust them there new fangled calqutators anyway!
Next week may be our week.
FLOTILLA UPDATE!!!
Im starting to run out of fingers and toes to keep up with the count! It's a good thing I have 23!
Total Number of CGFIA members reporting = 114
Total number of shares held = 1,112,010,787!
No, that's not a typo, that's 1.112 BILLION
I think the Flotilla is now officially larger than 95% of the world's navies!
Keep in formation guys and gals, we sail on to glory real soon.
This is slightly off topic, but I just got word that there was a crash of a P-51 Mustang at the Reno air show just a short time ago. (minutes) Many people hurt. (50+ suspected injured 30+ seriously) The mustang crashed into the spectator's section.
I'm posting this because I seem to remember that someone from this board was going to Reno and the show! I hope and pray for the best for the injured.
TADF.
Balltilian,
With all due respect, you don't "open a 5 star restaurant"!
You open a restaurant and make it the best you can. Your restaurant then "earns" a reputation and along the way it gets the stars, sometimes one at a time.
Your analogy falls flat in at least one other area. You say you can't open a mining operation without experience. I think that PCFG has done exactly that, and they are succeeding! (And, you can hire experts to help you succeed. It's done all the time, hiring experts.)
The mine is open, operating, and now showing they have the ability to get ore out of the ground.
Time will prove one side of this discussion is correct. The production numbers will be out soon and we will see who is right.
If you did sell, you should have made a profit, as long as you bought in before July.
I wish you good luck! Sorry you can't see that the future for PCFG looks very good. IMHO you will regret your decision.
Sort of like having an old blind dog around. He causes a lot of trouble for you, but you have a hard time kicking him out or putting out of his misery. But, one day it just gets too tough to have him around and you just have to do what needs to be done.
Right now, he's living on borrowed time. PCFG will prove him wrong.
JMHO
GLTYA, even Robo!
I can tell you have been thru the wringer a few times also, Dale.
Boy, if we could bottle our collective experience, we wouldn't need to invest!
At least we can help the others thru the trauma of the experience!
CGFIA!
Step back away from the edge hbe84! Don't jump. Its a long way down and the ride doesn't end well!
This is like waiting for your birthday when you were a kid. You can just taste the cake in anticipation of what is to come.
It's frustrating dealing with government agencies. Many of us here have experience doing that in our professional lives. At times when a project of my own was thru dealing with the red tape, it felt like someone had stopped punching you in the face. You are happy they stopped, but your face still hurts. (and you may not feel or look quite as handsome as you did when you started)
When the permit is finally reinstated, it will all feel a lot better, and the profit will be nice, too! That makes the pain go away a lot faster.
Very well put dlc7509! You have stated the situation better than I ever could. And it is REAL information, not just wide-eyed optimism or speculation.
Let me buy you an extra grog for the effort explaining CGFIA's position!
Cheers!
Hi Shredder015,
Here is how the speculation developed.
If you look at the location of the POW mill, there is no other mill in operation for hundreds of miles. The Silverton area has plenty of mining opportunities, but nowhere to separate the ore from the tailings. This makes operating a mine in that area economically difficult.
Right now, CGFIA has contracts and agreements with some local mines to process their ore when the mill reopens. (almost instant income, by the way, but I digress)
Can you spell MONOPOLY?
CGFIA will be quite a coup that Mr Guyer is spearheading, when he gets the mill operating.
Look at all the effort and time it has taken CGFIA to get an existing mill past the DRMS. Now you may start to realize how difficult it would be to try to open a new mill in the state of Colorado.
If I were a big mining operator in the area I would be drooling over the opportunity to buy out CGFIA and the mill. It would greatly reduce the cost of any present mining, and offer the ability for the big guys to open up other claims that they now own.
That's just our speculation. But if it sells, then it won't go cheap. If it doesn't, then we still have a producing mill and mining claims that will be opened shortly after the mill. Win / Win!
GLTY! GO Mr Guyer, and make us all wealthy!
Rodger, Star Gazer, will do!
Getting exciting around here, isn't it? Watching for the inevitable news on CGFIA and our other "baby". Great fun!
Good Luck!
Scooter239,
I'll add your buy to the CGFIA Flotilla's cargo. I think there may be some room in the grog barrel, but I'll have to empty it first. Any volunteers to help me? I know it's a tough job, but it is Friday and the sun is over the yard arm!
I'll post an exact number later, but I know the total is now over 1.1 BILLION shares!
Holy poop deck, Commodore, that's a mega shipload of shares!
Good luck everyone! We are in the accumulate and wait cycle, so be ready for the tsunami! (and I can always find room for more shares in the flotilla, so keep the numbers coming!)
May I recommend the "button de jour", ignore? It is Sooo Satisfying!
Works for me!
CGFIA!
Joe Btfsplk, the world's worst "jinx". (according to Wikipedia)
I also remember the now extinct "shmoo" who would do anything for you, including cook itself if you are hungry. (I'm showing my age here.)
CGFIA is never going to see 0001. The value of the mill equipment is far above that.
Some people just like to throw numbers around without any logical reasoning, never showing any support for their position.
CGFIA will take off very soon.
And I thought it was only me! My wife thinks I'm going nuts! Must be a CGFIA syndrome!
I don't check the DRMS site because, being on Pacific time, the news would be posted on our board by then. But I still run into the great room and look under the tree! (figuratively speaking)
Someday the neighbors will be dialing 911 when I find that big fat notice of reinstatement of the permit! You'll hear the cheer on the east coast!
See, that's what I like about this board, the collective memory is so good!
In answer to your question about OUR (iHub's CGFIA) contact with Wally Erikson, yes there has been some contact. I can't remember who it was, but none lately (that I know of). I'm sure we will get an answer from the board's collective memory shortly.
Funny how that works sometimes! That's one good thing about being an assistant moderator, you can delete your own question too!
Thanks, 567!
So now I can add a little more rum to the grog?
I think we need a bigger containment vessel for the grog. We have so many people watching CGFIA that I'm afraid we will need a bigger reserve when the rush hits! Maybe we can use the old settling ponds?
Ok, so the short version, if I am interpreting it correctly, is basically this. Fix the containment pond or get rid of it (dismantle the facility). The decision to use, and approval of, the dry stacking method concept (not the final engineered design) along with the reclamation of the settling ponds covers that.
Did I read and interpret that correctly, or did put too much rum in the grog tonight?
Seig, you have been following CGFIA for years. I think we all need to take a cue from your experience and let the process run it's course. With Mr. Guyer & Mr Rice at the helm, I believe we will all be rewarded handsomely, and have little to fear.
JMHO
I want to be a gold miner when I grow up! Make that a RICH gold miner!
Hey "Digits",
I think you have hit that one right on the numbers. You are correct, the mill reinstatement is the key for CGFIA. Big(er) money will follow. IMHO, this is a no brainer, just a waiting game.
Good to see your posts!
GLTY!
SM,
Have a cold one at the pub on the way home. It's good for the nerves, if not the waistline!
Tomorrow is another day for PCFG to shine. We are getting there slowly, but that is good for the base.
I'm only half Irish! (supposedly the good half, but that was always disputed by my parents) So in your expert opinion, am I pig headed too? LOL
I think I must be, 'cause I'm really stubborn when it comes to selling my PCFG stock!
Hi Phred6,
I hope you don't think I was trying to degrade PCGF in my postings earlier. That was far from my intention. My apologies if anyone thought otherwise.
My posts were intended as an educational discussion regarding a widespread problem and nothing more. However, I concur with your concern regarding potential new investors.
By the way, I think you are doing a great job here. It's not an easy job and you have big shoes to fill following Frodo. (and the pay leaves something to be desired.)
I am in full support of OUR gold mine! I'm a long (by philosophy), but long or short, just go PCFG!
Cali,
I hope you get the chance to average down, for your sake. I know what it is like to hold shares that have a fractional value of what you paid for them. (although I'm not as bad off on my average PPS as some of the older longs)
FWIW, I think we will not see the price drop much more that where we are now. I believe we are at the point where the market capitalization of CGFIA is about equal to the value of the mill and equipment alone. (that is JMHO)
So keep an eye on the market. If the speculation of some of our posters is correct, then the window to get the cheap shares may close quickly when mill news hits.
That is a matter of your own trading philosophy, and there is room enough for all of us here. Do what you feel is right for you. (I admire your ability to play that side of the waiting game. My luck in bid sitting never works out for me.)
Good Luck to all you CGFIA traders & investors.
Hoping for news soon!
That's our own ficoce, doing a solid for us. He did that on his own dime & time. (I really liked the speed up/Benny Hill scene with the back hoe.)
Whenever someone tells us that CGFIA is a scam, or just stealing our money, point them to that video. It's tough to argue with a video that is only a couple of weeks old.
And the mill does exist, is in good shape and is being "gussied up" for the big day, as we speak!
CGFIA, the real deal.
Here you go MTNS,
Thanks Cali,
I find that even I forget sometime how projects this complex can be so time consuming. You can do everything perfectly by the book, but the time frame is the toughest to accurately predict.
CGFIA may not meet our time expectations, but their ultimate goal will be accomplished very soon.
I used to design and sell manufacturing systems. In our contracts we always included a "Force Majeure" clause. (standard for most commercial or industrial contracts) Reality dictates the need for these type of considerations.
Like Forest Gump said "Sh*t happens".
So hope for the best, plan for the worst, and hopefully you land somewhere in-between.
CGFIA is going to land closer to "the best". I'm betting on it. (maybe that's cause I'm living in Nevada, we bet on almost anything!)
We are currently in stealth mode, trying to sneak past the manipulators into a better price range! Do you think it will work?
Merger news would be nice, with a side of military contract, please. (That is if you are taking lunch orders. LOL)
TADF will break loose soon. Patience is the hardest commodity to hold on to.
I know many of you are frustrated with the delay in the projected re-opening of the Pride of the West mill. Many of us longs (and a few shorts too) have seen our share's value slip. Almost every week I see someone post "It has been xx# of days since CGFIA's projected date to reopen the mill. What's taking so long? Why the delay? What are these guys doing? When is the next PR coming?"
I believe we got some solid answers from Ficoce's trip and his excellent video report. (nice work, wasn't it?) We get great intelligence reports from other members who are excellent in their research.
We are seeing real progress being made at CGFIA.
Now, I'm going to ask a few questions of my own, and hopefully, help us all keep ourselves grounded.
Has anyone here ever had an addition built on to their house, had an in ground pool installed in their yard, or their kitchen remodeled? How did that go for you? You probably did a good bit of work picking the best contractor you could find. Maybe you did the work yourself. You got a price estimate and scheduled plan for the work's completion. Everything goes fine, until the city inspectors get involved, or, you find out a key piece of the project is delayed because of a clerical error or shipping delay.
What I'm getting at is that we live in a real world, filled with uncertainty, where the best of plans and projections are subject to outside influences that no one can predict.
CGFIA is part of that real world. The project(s) they have tackled here is far from simple. It has turned into a nightmare of a bureaucratic entanglement that management has fought hard (for years) to overcome. Now we are 95% (or more) complete.
Many of CGFIA's detractors have tried to sow seeds of discontentment among shareholders for their own selfish reasons. So far they have failed.
We are down to the last few items and then, barring any unforeseen circumstances, the mill permit will be reinstated.
This will bring in an almost instantaneous source of income thru existing contracts for toll mining ore from surrounding mines. Although that is not the grand prize, it is a key piece to CGFIA's success. Mill permit will quiet the detractors and bolster confidence in the company (and share prices). After all, CGFIA will be an income producing operation with an almost unlimited growth potential thru it's mining leases. (I haven't even mentioned the possibility of a buy out by the bigger mining operators.)
I wish I could look into my magic crystal 8 ball and tell you that the permit is coming tomorrow, or next week. That would be one heck of an investment coup!
We do know the mill permit IS going to happen "soon". There are things going on that none of us know about. Some are great, I'm sure. Other possibilities are probably not so much. CGFIA has adapted to and overcome every obstacle placed in it's path. I have every reason to believe Mr Guyer and Mr. Rice will continue to do so and will build CGFIA into the company that they plan it to be.
Don't lose faith. The start of the mill is not far off. This is the time that the vultures start to circle looking for the easy pickings that they can cull out of the heard. Don't become vulture food.
Thanks for listening to my ramblings. I hope this restores and bolsters your faith in CGFIA.
GLTYA!
I hope he has a lot more "friends" who will do the same and join the party!
Let's even get out the cheerleaders and pom poms, if that what it takes.
PCFG on the rise!
Can we break .05 today? Seems like we stand a chance.
Come on PCFG, stand up and fight! Let's get back to the .08 range. It's time!
Hey ViewMaster! What, not sleeping today? Up early aren't you?
I followed your posts about this NSS, and you did a great job on them!
I guess the big question is if a stock like Overstock.com can fall victim to this type of scam without repercussion, what about us tiny little guys in pinky land? It seems no one is (or has been) watching the store, and the shop is being looted!
No dispute on that Wolverine! Most traders do not do that, and the bad guys are counting on that.
I have a question. I understand that if you have a "cash" (vs. Margin) account your shares can't be "borrowed" by shorty. Is this true, or is this just a trading "legend"
TIA!
Scottrade won't allow that on any stock valued under $4.00 per share.
When you buy stock, do you ask where they came from? I don't. They could be the product of a naked short sale.
It all goes back to supply and demand and trust in the system. (just like fiat currency)
If you can buy unlimited shares in a company, then there is no limit to the supply.
In effect, the naked short sellers are "printing" or creating their own shares.
If a company has an O/S count of one million shares, and the market has 5 million shares in circulation, then it becomes easy to fill any size order. (No upward pressure on price for the same demand) And, at any given point, how do you really tell how many shares (real or counterfeit) there are available. Ultimately the value of the stock is artificially depressed and so is the PPS.
It is a tough concept for "honest" investors to grasp. We believe that there is someone watching out for this type of illegal activity. But when the perpetuators of this activity collect (our) money and then go unpunished, who are you going to call?
Actually, you may have the shares in your account, buy they are only "paper" shares, or as the article calls them "counterfeit". The main impact of the counterfeit shares it that it undermines the value of ALL the shares of that company.
So, when you try to sell or make a profit on your investment, the value has already been "stolen" by brokers who have oversold the company's total shares.
When it comes time for blame to be assessed, it becomes a circular accusation game with each party in the process pointing the finger at the next guy.
Ultimately, it's the investor and owners of the company that get screwed out of their hard earned investment.
Mtns,
Adding your new acquisition to the cargo hold. Someone come help my jump on top of this pile so it will all fit!
These shares look real fresh. Did you buy them in Silverton on your recent trip?
Good luck with these little nuggets!
