Is there a minimum interim % that Amarin will accept as futile to continue Reduce It to completion? Does it have to be in double digits or would something less than that justify the continuation?
Shouldn't you have ended your disparaging remark about Raf with a IMO?
Mogwai, meet Ricardoga. Ricardoga, meet Mogwai. I'm sure you two have a lot to talk about!
That's because Kate is on my couch as we speak! Sorry about your luck!
Good grief!
Better yet, Raf, go back and re-read Amarin's October investor presentation. It should calm you down and hopefully make you feel better about the company and your decision to invest in it. And if that doesn't work, I would suggest a small batch bourbon - but stick with the 80 proof.
Day after day you continue to post your dire warning that dilution is coming. Do us all a favor and layout your argument using hard numbers. Define your assumptions and then tell us when the company runs out of money, when they have to pull the trigger on a dilution and how many shares outstanding when the company gets to Reduce It final (assuming you believe the outcome will be worthwhile). And if you can't do all that, then just shut the hell up!
Why?
"the FDA does not/ can not provide financial support for elected politicians.."
No, but they can certainly offer up a solid voting block. Of course at this point most politicians take the public employee vote for granted!
"If Vascepa succeeds it will be no less than a miracle." Clearly, a man of science!
You mean a company OTHER THAN Amarin. Yes?
He probably doesn't know what a certificate of occupancy is!
I'm shocked! Shocked to see gambling taking place on this website.
Settling this argument will do what? Nothing! Better to spend your time arguing about the baseball playoffs or water on Mars.
Hey, even a broken clock finds an acorn every once in a while!
No Ricardo, it's actually pure EPA. But I have to commend you - your grasp of the English language is improving!
Do CEO/CFO's of their own construction company typically have the time to be active/sophisticated investors? I think we call them BBP (basically better people)!
Reduce It enrollment to be complete by end of 60 day 1A delay, giving FDA justification to reverse previous position on enrollment requirement before entertaining Anchor sNDA.
Two thumbs up!
Right now it just looks like dry humps. We need the market to, to quote my old friend Alice Cooper, love it to death!
Nothing new to report, just wanted to see something besides Marketwise's post!
AQXP
Do you think the Baker Brothers get up every morning feeling as dour as you do about Amarin's chances? Or do you think they have their eyes on the horizon knowing, yes, knowing, that the chances for positive results are well beyond the coin flip you seem to ascribe to?
My reading of Judge Moss's ruling is that he set aside the FDA's previous decision and told them to reconsider the NCE request. There was no directive to issue the NCE by a certain date. Consequently, the FDA can drag their feet and get around to it in due time. Maybe my reasoning is BS, but I've spent enough time dealing with bureaucrats and approval processes to know that it's not easy to push them when they are not feeling it!
and no BS on Reduce It!
Lack of confidence. Admit it. You have doubts about whether or not Reduce It is going to pan out. And you probably wonder if Amarin didn't just cook up this scheme to suck in a lot of unsuspecting investors. I certainly do. But I also want to believe they are on to something. I don't know whether to blame the FDA for what they did to Amarin or to blame Amarin for deceiving the public. I am inclined to believe that, whether Vascepa is the real deal or not, the FDA's treatment has created an incredible cloud of doubt and it's just not going to be easy to convince investors otherwise. This cloud didn't exist (or at least not to the extent that it does today) when the company was pursuing Anchor.
To the extent that the resources required to pursue the NCE (legal fees, staff time, etc.) it has been a drag on sales. I'm not sure how many more sales reps they would have hired if they weren't fighting these legal battles on so many fronts, but it does have an impact. It also means they have less time to focus on the task of getting the product to market.
You mean, the "Dish Soap"!
Ric - Instead of posting your dire prediction punctuated with an insult, why not explain why, in your illuminated mind, the court will rule in favor of the FDA?
HD - A little off topic, but, assuming your mom makes a Hungarian goulash that you really like, can you post her recipe here? While we wait for the court decision!
Thanks
And, yes, I'm serious!
Where in the court order did it say the FDA has to grant NCE within a specific timeframe? My understanding is that the judge told them they erred in their decision not to grant NCE and for it to go back to the "agency for further proceedings consistent with this decision". So, the FDA has gone back, they've removed the current status and are wading through the review process again. And if the amount of time it took them to make their decision about the three year exclusivity is any measure, then expect the same amount of delay. And what is Amarin going to do about it?
Or better still, grant the NCE today and file their appeal on Monday!
The court order didn't say they had to grant NCE by the appeal deadline. If they don't appeal, they can drag this out for months because, you know, it's complicated!
Did you just get off the phone with Floyd Abrams? Or the judge?
Sort of like faulty instructions to the AdComm! But they would never admit that.
But for that little deadline of the 27th!
No cash? You mean like Greece, Portugal, Italy and, of course, Spain? So, does Spanish austerity mean no internet? That would be a shame! Amarin, on the other hand, is doing just fine.
So, you think that you and the other three shareholders in the room were the only votes approving the compensation plan? No wonder you lost your house on this stock.
Just wish Amarin had consulted with you before spending money on these high priced attorneys.
I'd still like to see them put AF on the stand! Just to see him squirm.
