CY, I bought a little CCJ a month ago and was looking to add on a dip but there really hasn't been one (when I was watching). Thinking about selling the little I have and taking a profit and buying on a pullback, but this is really opposite of my original plan. Any thoughts? (this is my only uranium/energy play). Thanks.
Hi Zeev, I still have my TBL. I would at least like to hold until Monday when I think it becomes a long-term gain. We shall see if it stays up there.
Check your security software. I had a similar problem that wouldn't let me into secure sites.
Hi Zeev, Speaking of profits, did you take all of yours on LSCP? Thanks.
I had a feeling you would counsel me to take profits on GIVN and reposition. I took your advice and took my little gain. Thanks.
Yes, I loved that nice discount on GIVN and now I am even up almost a dollar!
Yes Zeev, I heeded your warning about GIVN at the time. But today, with my brain still on vacation I guess, I bought some. I was thinking under 30 was good. Obviously, I could have gotten better. Such is life.
Zeev, GIVN OB hit yet? Its taking a dump. I got caught.
It is probably Norton
Can you disable it?
BT
_______
Thanks for responding. I think the problem is Norton also. I am not sure what you mean by disable it. I tried uninstalling and I get "A Norton Internet Security account with supervisor access must be logged in to uninstall this product.". They instruct me go go to a log-in screen but I can't find one. My system status indicates that Security is "Off" that my personal Firewall and intrusion Detection are Disabled and Norton AntiVirus needs "Attention". Somehow my account became restricted and I don't know how to fix it. Thanks again.
Tracy
Hi Bruce, I am hoping that you may shed some light on a problem I am having. My alternative is to reformat my hard drive, which might not be a terrible thing since it is an old laptop and I have never have done that with that machine.
Ever since I installed adaware and then quarantined things I can not access secure sites (such as log-in screens for my trading accounts) nor can I uninstall/reinstall Norton Internet Security (they are asking for supervisor access which doesn't make sense). I unquarantined things but still had the problem, so I re-quarantined things and removed them and deleted the program. That didn't work either.
I have been on the phone with AOL several times, Schwab's web people and worked the solutions offered by symantec with no luck. I tried Symantec via phone but after being left on hold for long periods of time without reaching a human, I gave up. By the way, a friend recommended AVG which I now have on my new machine.
If you have any thoughts, I would be very appreciative. Thanks.
Thanks Newly, I'll go visit.
I am not sure exactly what you mean, but I think I did this. Thanks.
OT -- Request for computer help. Ever since I loaded adaware on my old laptop I haven't been able to access what appear to be secure sites, such as log-on screen for trading. I tried reinstalling my Norton Internet Security and I can't do that either (they are looking for supervisor access, huh?) After speaking with AOL (Ugh), Schwab, and trying the various menus on Symantac, I am left with having to reformat my hard drive as my only solution. If anyone here has a suggestion I would be interested, since many here seem to know this stuff and I am fairly ignorant on computer issues. Thanks!
I think she is the cat lady and wanted to look that way!
OT I thought it was bad for the liver (Tylenol)
OT sorry about the ot stuff and your gallbladder. I have nothing to add to the board on stocks, though. Hopefully your kidneys are fine.
OT I'll check it out, next time I am in town. (Johns that is) Thanks
OT Ziggy I am glad your kidneys are fine. But I disagree about the myth part. No need to discuss further.
Ziggy, how are your kidneys? Very high protein is tough on them.
Bubbles in pizza are a mistake in dough timing....
I vote for Two Boots Pizza (East Village), even though they went uptown with a place at Grand Central.
Zeev, I caught your warning on GIVN, thanks. Was tempted but it isn't trading that much lower from my last sale. I wanted more of a discount. From what you say, it looks like I might be able to get it if I still want it. :)
Hi Zeev, Do you watch ZBRA anymore? Plans to get in on a retrench? It ran out of gas and didn't really participate in the little rally we had. It hasn't gone down much either. Thanks!
Hi Zeev, Are you planning on getting back into TLM at a discount? I finally sold mine this am. It was a nice long term hold. Thank you.
I picked up a few shares of CRDN the other day. Now I am wondering what to do!
OT Hi BasserDan,
Alas, I never got to do any research on uranium. It seems as though there is some time though. I take it you never invested in this realm. I have been mostly inactive due to other projects taking my time. Mostly holding except for worrying about some of my tech plays. I held on to my Au holdings though.
I did not hear from Ron Paul although I did read more about him and I believe he should be a credible source. Unbelieveble though huh!
Also, thanks for sending the Jackie Mason/Starbucks piece. I did see it and enjoyed, although it would be better with his delivery of course. I am a child of the Catskills who never got to see these greats while they were getting their start there. I do appreciate their humor though, and have a fondness for them.
Speaking of playing the plan, I was thinking of adding back some PII at around 46, am I being too outrageous in the turnip's opinion?
Thanks for the heads up Zeev on GIVN. It will be a pleasure to buy at a discount to last sale, as you would say.
I missed your INGN call and saw your post about the profits but I couldn't tell if you still liked as much as CRIS for a long term play. I appreciate your thoughts.
Hi Maine, do you like CRIS or INGN better? TIA.
I believe Jennie sold her receipe for Rye Bread many years ago...
OT Jackie Mason and David Brenner are still alive aren't they? Catskill humor lives on even though the Concord and Grossinger's do not (unless you count the golf courses).
Zeev, I was thinking about putting my GIVN profits in IDEV for a long term hold. Although IDEV looks broken and there is NLBHL to worry about. Maybe I should just buy back GIVN at a very nice discount if it comes. <g> Any suggestions? As always, a big thank you.
Zeev, thoughts on GENZ? Can't decide if I should sell and buy back cheaper, or just hold on. Thanks.
OT, actually I think behavior has improved. I remember strippers on the trading floor back in the 80s. I don't think they do that anymore.
I followed your link, BasserDan, and I am interested to learn the response. Surprised that he is a Congressman, so I guess he knows if there is a law or not. We shall see if he responds to a Californian. Maybe the Patriot act is the culprit, then in that case it was after my experience with the census.
I don't know you Ron Paul is, but I believe he is incorrect to say we can get fined $1,000 per question not answered. The census is to count. I sent back mine with just the number in the household. A census taker did show up (and I was in the boonies) but I refused to answer any more.
I was one of those long-time riders thank you very much!
