Just completed Wave 1 up at DOW 8067.

Oddlot short sales were impressive today and yesterday. Should brake (break) this decline.
They put 2 oz. lead sinkers in the cat's boots when they dropped it today. Alas, no bounce!!

Cannabis,
55 would be bad news for the VIX, 40 in this market is a yawn.<ng>

Halliburton will be one of the companies brought in to rebuild the infrastructure of Iraq after the war. You do remember Halliburton and Cheeney?
<if that were the case we should bring everyone home and go back in Nov.>
Halliburton isn't willing to wait. <ng>

Seventy-six more days of this and we can all go home.

Your posts and those of Possum are greatly appreciated.
Thank you
<porter, do you think there's enough e-wave followers/believers to influence the market direction to confirm their own beliefs?>
I've thought about this question for give or take a decade. I now believe that when too many people subscribe to the same count it's NOT self-fufilling but rather it invalidates the count. Prechter's success came when he was an unknown. Then, as his following grew, more and more of the alternate counts took hold. Recall that on the day of the crash in 1987 he announced the end of the Bull market. He ended up being a bit premature in this announcement since the market continued to run for another decade!!!
I like wave counts in conjunction with other sentiment indicators. When everything is in sync I commit. Right now the cross-currents are making this market impossible. I say it's a Deflationary Depression till further notice. (I don't understand this double-dip crap since we never left the single.)
Now the question remains:
Are Bear markets controlled "entropic" events?
<he has 14-18 sons...so this could continue for awhile>
Having sons or capturing them? <G>

The opening on the DOW today invalidated a rather Bullish
e-wave count. So it's now...one down and five alternative counts to go. <g>

To predict the "coming bounce" are you using:
1-- fib numbers
2-- two diving turnips
3-- a neighborhood cat that's prone to falls or
3-- aluminum foil

Greetings Dan,
It looks like you have found your financial "bliss." I am surprised that the article did not recommend a little TA knowledge to anticipate the extent of corrections and retracements.
Put me down for $312-$317 before the next serious run begins. Right now anything is possible.

Is this the latest e-wave count?<g>

Thanks for your answer.
Didn't Mr.B take delivery of the Silver. How do "quietly" unload that much WITHOUT having the floor traders chew you up? I'd like to understand the logistics of this.
Dow 7629 is the line in the sand for the alternate bullish
e-wave count.

Nice solution. You can do my income taxes this year!!!

A man traveling in the countryside encounters a sheepherder and exclaims: “If I can guess the number of sheep in your herd will you give me one?”
The boy responds: “Most certainly.”
The man looks over the herd and announces: “986.”
The boy’s face displays amazement. “You’re correct. Please take one.”
The man picks up a creature and begins to walk off.
“Mister,” the boy shouts after him, “if I can guess your occupation will you give me $100.”
The man turns and says,.”Most certainly.”
“Fine,” the boy responds. “You are an economist.”
“My God,” exclaims the man. “I can’t believe it. How in the world did you know?”
“Mister,” the boy answers slowly, “put down the dog and I’ll tell you.”

And of course every riddle deserves another riddle:
You have three light bulbs in your living room and a separate switch for each one of them in your basement. How do you determine which switch goes with each light bulb. You are permitted to go upstairs ONLY ONE TIME!!!

So Dan,
When I posted for the first time on this string and mentioned to you not to step on the feet of the Commercials you implied my post was unintelligible.
I rest my case.
You're right. I stand corrected!!!<vbg>
I believe you neglected to mention #3, so permit me.
drum roll...
3. Federal workers choose flexi-time work schedules and "work" at home. This falls under the heading of "unaccountability." People will retire, therefore, when they die. Trust me, there is no intended humor in this post. Talk to a GS 15 in government.
Make sure you are sitting down when you do.
There's always the possibility that "man" is not a sucessful long-term biological entity on the evolutionary chain. We are always announcing our "vision" which usually excludes anyone else's "vision" and visa versa.
"All visions are equal but some visions are more equal than others." <g>
Sorry, Larry. My comment was meant only in jest. I did read your earlier post.

The law firm of...
<there is a danger that if a leadership vacuum is formed there, it will actually end up being a fundamentalist regime that replaces Hussein>
That's the riddle that few understand. It was for THIS reason that Bush Sr. did NOT pursue Hussein in the first Gulf war.
A weakened enemy sometimes is better than a dead one.
You own a $100 stock. You lose 50%. Your stock is now worth $50. It then goes up 50%. It is now worth...
Finishing up wave 4 of wave 1 of wave 3.
If we take out yesterday's low the count is invalidated.
The verdict is still out.
How many people think losing 50% of their money in 2001 is the same as making back 50% in 2002? <g>

The year is 2006 and that's all they can afford.
