A man traveling in the countryside encounters a sheepherder and exclaims: “If I can guess the number of sheep in your herd will you give me one?”

The boy responds: “Most certainly.”

The man looks over the herd and announces: “986.”

The boy’s face displays amazement. “You’re correct. Please take one.”

The man picks up a creature and begins to walk off.

“Mister,” the boy shouts after him, “if I can guess your occupation will you give me $100.”

The man turns and says,.”Most certainly.”

“Fine,” the boy responds. “You are an economist.”

“My God,” exclaims the man. “I can’t believe it. How in the world did you know?”

“Mister,” the boy answers slowly, “put down the dog and I’ll tell you.”

And of course every riddle deserves another riddle:

You have three light bulbs in your living room and a separate switch for each one of them in your basement. How do you determine which switch goes with each light bulb. You are permitted to go upstairs ONLY ONE TIME!!!
