I bought into Nanobac as well.

Million-Dollar Sledgehammer
Ralph Hughes gets serious; BY WAYNE GARCIA

"Life's been good to Ralph Hughes. More accurately, Hughes has worked hard to make sure that life would be good to him.
Hillsborough's highest profile conservative activist, anti-tax crusader and power broker owns a pre-cast concrete business that is the largest of its kind in the nation. The privately held Cast-Crete has annual sales of $150 million and "is very profitable," the company told Wall Street analysts earlier this year. After taxes and other costs, Cast-Crete is projected to make a $24-million profit.
But almost unknown is how actively Hughes' Cast-Crete has gotten into the turnaround business, buying up financially distressed companies and trying to make them into performers, thanks in large part to the talents of John Stanton, a Vietnam vet who runs Hughes' construction products companies and the new acquisitions.
The interrelated deals include:
• Taking over CyberCare Inc., a once troubled South Florida medical technology firm that was set to emerge from Bankruptcy Court this week.
• A proposed merger with EarthFirst Technologies, an alternative fuels business.
• U.S. Sustainable Technologies Inc., which is working on a biofuel gas from soybeans.
• Nanobac Pharmaceuticals Inc. and its investigation of nanobacteria to help produce alt-energy.
• A joint venture with Cofitral S.p.A of Milan, Italy, to build a $750-million alt-energy producing plant in that nation.
[SOUND FAMILIAR??]
How ironic: The scourge of Tampa liberals is all up in the "green" energy movement.
Hughes is doing well enough to give $500,000 to Gov. Jeb Bush's Foundation for Florida's Future; to be building a brand-new waterfront home in the Westshore area of south Tampa on property that cost nearly $1 million; and to recently donate $1 million to his newly created political 527 committee, Let's Make the World a Better Place Because We Have Been Here.
Snappy name. How about an easy acronym for us scribes, Ralph?
The cool million is believed to be the biggest single political contribution in Florida politics. There isn't one bigger listed on the Florida Division of Elections' website, which covers the period from 1996 to the present.
It is very interesting.

U.S. Sustainable Energy Corporation and Nanobac Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Investigate Nanobacteria Link to Energy Production
Tuesday April 18, 2006 2:13 pm ET

"John Stanton, Chairman of both Nanobac and U.S. Sustainable, stated that Nanobac's continuing research with the National Aeronantics and Space Administration ("NASA") suggests potential energy, as well as healthcare, implications of nanobacteria. Our goal is to discover, or invent, and then commercialize technologies that enhance our way of life through sustainable energy development that "does no harm" to our health, or environment.
It has been substantiated that calcific diseases propagate in microgravity because nanobacteria growth in that environment is accelerated. We are specifically investigating whether or not the vacuum created in the biofuel production process might accelerate nanobacteria growth, thus enhancing biofuel productivity."

This stuff is really important and tied together with what we have here at USSE.
Just hope the DOE doesn't swoop down on USSE and take the technology in the interests of national security. Just kidding. I would have started with the major news feeds not the DOE. Good luck!
It's all interrelated and tied together with a very very small thread - so small you can't even see it, but you know it's there. I bought back in today, and will average down if necessary. More to come.

So, the million-dollar question: What is he going to do with the newly endowed Let's Make the World? His incorporation papers, according to one report, say the committee's purpose is to "promote good government by attempting to influence the election of individuals to state and local office."
Exactly how, Hughes is not saying. He's declined to talk with the dailies about it, and he did not return phone calls for this story. But if I know Hughes, and if the sources I spoke with are correct, look for at least a large chunk of those reserves to be aimed at trying to defeat Taking Back Hillsborough's county mayor referendum.
Hughes vehemently opposes the referendum, and why shouldn't he? He has contributed money to six of the seven members of the current county commission and has strong sway with the status quo.

Martingale, thanks for the reply. Very thoughtful and informative. I will continue research tomorrow and let you know what I find out.
Thanks.
Thanks. The "patent pending" assertions led me to believe that a patent had not yet been issued. I believe the USPTO website allows searches of published applications, as well as issued patents.
http://appft1.uspto.gov/netahtml/PTO/search-bool.html
You can also back into a search by "Assignee name". All patents have to be issued in an individual's name. Companies cannot be the "inventor" of a patent. Hence, individual inventors will assign their rights to a company. There are no assignments I could find to USSE. That does not mean that they don't hold the rights to a pending application (could be through some other agreement form), but that an assignment has not been recorded. The only related assignee I found was Cast Crete for
1 20060179738 Lintel. (Appears unrelated)
If the process is secret, and is intended to maintained as a proprietary trade secret -- so be it. We will not know -- nor should we. If it is a combination TS with some elements of patent protection, I would like to know the patent elements. tx
Like many, I was given a tip from someone I trusted (and still do), bought quick after a cursory review, then began investigating my investment. I had questions that I could not find answers to and decided to sideline until I could. Now that is not to say that you are not in a great company, or in a good investment - that is your concern not mine. If all is as reported, this company has a very bright future (no pun intended).
I do not want to bog this board down in my issues, nor do I intend to dishearten anyone with my recent posts. I was merely frustrated that I could not get answers to my patent/technology questions, and appreciate your patience.
Thank you. A rational response. I will try to find out as I have been in the past. I have watched every video, read every letter, and most recent posts (not fulfilling).
If there are any links to prior posts that outline the technology, I would greatly appreciate it. Some would say that I haven't done my DD because I did not sift through the prior 9000 informative posts. Forgive me. Those that can patiently point me in the right direction -- thank you..
I don't work for anybody. I bought in at $.58 and watched it ride down in the 30 cent range and sold at $0.51 for a loss. Look, I want to beleive in this company as much as you guys do, and even though I am not back in, I still follow this board and price with interest. If I could see what the technology is it would be a great help to me.
I need answers, not hype, and I seem to get no answers here or from the company or its agents/representatives. Everytime I ask a question about the technology or the spin off company, nobody seems to want to tackle the question. Either you don't know the answer or you don't want to give me an answer -- those are the only two choices.
All I see is "WEEEEEE -- HERE WE GO!!!---- 3,2,1 LIFTOFF!!!. That's a blind cheering section, not a discussion board.
It's all a bunch of bunk. Serious investors who can answer simple questions about the technology -- please do so. Otherwise I am left to presume it's all "snake-oil".
This may be a dumb question, but if US Sustainable Energy Corp is currently a wholly-owned subsidiary of USSE and the company is spun off as a separate publicly traded entity, will that cause USSE's price to drop or go up? Thanks to all who can answer.
Yes. I was told that I would get a call back from USSE attorney and I have not heard back. If I do receive the call back, I will post.
Look I want to be a believer like the rest of you, but I leave faith to my religion. I just want to see the technology and make a determination on my own. It will be my own DD --- I just need a starting point.
I did. No answers.
I agree. We are here to discuss the company -- all aspects.
The "to the moon" types are far more dangerous because they hype a stock and drag innocent newbies into the stock only to see it fall because there is no foundation to the price.
I still cannot get an answer to my patent questions, and I notice that Charlatan and the others have failed to respond to my posts, other than to accuse me of being a basher.
My point exactly...
Patent pending only means that an "application" has been filed, NOT that a patent has issued.
If the patent does not issue, there is no protection, other than proprietary trade secret (the Coca Cola process). [Note that there is no patent for Coke -- only the best kept trade secret in history] - I have noticed that JR throws the word "proprietary" in as well, but it must be secret to be a benefit to USSE.
Charlatan, you may be right about the delay in the USPTO website, but would you expect JR to delay telling us that he has an issued patent?
I for one would be more comfortable with a list of all the "technology" USSE claims to hold. Also, there is a difference between "holding patent pending" technology and actually having a patent. If this is "pending" that means there is a pending application before the USPTO. The patent my NOT be granted, in which case the "technology" either is not new or novel or is covered by "prior art" ("somebody elses patent"). If USSE gets no protection, ANYBODY can do what they are doing, including the big energy companies. I have search the USPTOP database under assignee's names and can find nothing under EFTI or USSE. Rivera is likely not the inventor. Do your own DD.
I DO NOT KNOW WHY THE COMPANY CAN'T ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS !!!
Those test results are incredible.
Could this be the start of the now traditional late-day recovery?
