Arrest Warrants, outstanding? Cleptdar, this stock was approaching 85cents/share years ago, now you celebrate "resistance at 0.03cents"? Although admittedly, a fuse has even lower resistance & near-infinite admittance, & AmpliTech is known to induce resonance in endless stream of new newbie/juvenile "investors" As of that old geezer making $5K/month for being on AmpliTech's BoD, Fawad as I've understood thru 15+ years & a decade prior, i.e quarter of CENTURY (since 1998) has had an addiction - he's addicted to hiring worn.out wrinkled products of combustion spewed out by Miteq, he keeps hiring tired folks who in reality just look for extra income before they retire. EVEN I, little guy, make way more than thus joke BoD member's $5K/mo, although BoD is better than SoB.
I hope this "new" BoD member won't follow in Rich Peterson's or Pederson Krag's foodstamps, as road to Hell is laid w/sweet candies
Glefdar, w/a name like yours, I'd be angry at parents, should've gotten off crackpipe when they conceived you
Since medication stopped working - increase dosage
you should
Tobe fair, reason for HybridMIC's produced by small co's akin to Fawad's AmpliTech & his senior counterpart/countryfellow & formidable competitor Javed's B&Z Technologies, & numerous on the WestCoast - is CUSTOMIZATION, obviously easier than for fully solid-state chipsets, etc. - there's a reason "Amplitech's of the world" exist despite MMIC's (e.g. Semiconductor co's, Qorvo, AnaDev, to name just 2 out of hundreds) relentless progress in displacing HybridMIC's (e.g. Amplitech, B&Z, Marki, CIAOWireless, Sage, etc.). Iam NOT here to dismiss Hybrids as a dying breed, AmpliTech will continue to exist (until aquired by a bigger fish, perhaps), what I say is different - their PR's/claims severely exaggerate reality, its business potential, worst of all is - profuse littering w/fad/buzzwords of "5G, SpaceX, Quantum Computing Autonomous Vehicles", etc. which insults intelligence of technical investors, sometimes even disgustingly so. Secondly, until very recently the ONLY College-educated/perm. engineer at company, was Fawad himself & even that is half-bakef as he spent bulk of time on business/administrative tasks, obviously, idea is as you age you become CEO & then Chairman & you hire other engineers to design/stay competitive, but here we had CEO spending a life on the bench tuning amps like a Tech, while his uneducated assembler & semi-tech w/background in CONSTRUCTION & car repair claimed to "design best stuff on Earth", lol ! By contrast, Marki Microwave, Norden Millimeter, B&Z, SAGE, etc. pose serious threat in specs/price ratio & CIAOWireless in decent tho not best specs/price/large volume & Net Profit employing 60-70 people in south California, look at Mercury Systems who absorbed former Delta Microwave near my home, look at Marki Microwave.
Asof Quantum Computing - sorry but truly qualified are Low.Noise Factory of Sweden via their U.S. partner Quantum Microwave inc. in Massachusetts. Quantum Microwave offers LNF's active LNAmps & its own passives (cryogenics) in STOCK & SPECS as measured by ACTUAL customers, while AmpliTech was busy presenting theoretical/"expected" perf & specs pretentiously stretched, customers can't always confirm
i spent years in area, my first random ventures to Hauppauge/Islip were since 1999 by train, then in Nov2005 by car & settled permanently & in Holbrook 2006, BOHEMIA 2010, had self-storage right next to Amplitech until Feb2017
"Prestigious center" by a little provincial airport is the only thing that stands out, rest is semi-rural decomposing area. Small repair shops, Strip Club, vvh0rês in nearby shoddy "motel" (though a decent hotel is also near where i spent months), donut factory occasionally smells though not as bad as our former addres at 60 David's Dr where full-blown food processing sent waves of stench into AmpliTech's indoors, Recycling plants (2), SuperFund Sites (an environmentally/toxic contamibated site designated by U.S. EPA as especially concerning), etc, etc. Main point is AmpliTech so TINY, it rents several rooms crammed to share "prestigious" building w/others. In this 2-storey building AmpliTech is one of many, there's (was) a Yoga Studio & decayed semi-closed electronics repair shop ran by one or 2 senile men, as one example. Automotive repair shops, you know what? KEEP PUMPING your $Money into it, I wish you best... just tried to protect you from crying later
JMD NY - quit talking to fools, you know they're fools & Fawad's speeches for toddler-level investors
nowadays are purposely filled w/"fave of the day" buzzwords/meaningless jargon e.g. "5G, Quantum Computing, Autonomous Vehicles" LOLOLLOL ;) Why not add SpaceX/Mars, InterStellar travel, treating diseases, Immortality, peace middle east...
Whereas Fawad as Engineer/& Executive is quite smart in private, but for you low-level "investors" he plays a game. Just say "5G" & fools gather like flies gather when they sense a pile of bull**"** 5G? Autonomous Vehicles? GET a CLUE :) CHEAP Integrated chipsets do that, think of Qualcom, or Skyworks next to my house, or MMIC designers Qorvo/x-Custom MMIC & AnalogDev/x-Hittite or whoever, yet for many years Fawad plays you fools like a violin pretending his 1990's era giant metal-cavity-housed HybtidMIC will go to that level of Net Profit. He does what he does well, but in terms of Net Profit a Seven-Eleven donut shop or gas station is more profitable. GET IT ??
you ever been inside building? or the fact they can afford only a few rooms there ?
P.S. A strip-club is across street, and a donuts factory chimney smells nice, AT&T tower right next to it, tho probably "dead zone" judging by the aperture of its antenna, McArthur airport is a provincial joke, and a creepy motel known for hosting spicy individuals LongIsland was damaged by Lieberals. Anyways, for me was rain/mold/Lyme ticks issue. AmpliTech does what many pretentious little shops do - putting up a great persona online. While Marki.Microwave grows brains, not ads/PR's
People who don't understand Sarcasm, are awesome (a typ. sign of low IQ or verbal skills, & mind you Iam sarcastic in 2+ languages & even embed it into C.code.. while you didn't get the amusement)
URGENT! EXTREMELY IMPORTANT - WEBSITE WAS REDESIGNED!! Add to it new cute posts on Facebook & Twitter, voilà - should propel stock to new highs. Remember, it's not brains or product competitiveness, it's the WEBPAGE that makes business' fundamentals sound & drive-ip stock prices. Website + Facebook + Twitter ==> main thing exceedingly important to make LNAmps & other enginered products.
"Cutie patootie"..... toddler-level logic
Earth is full of idiots. Some of them want to control you. Some of them want to be controlled
May the Lord richly bless you, & keep blessing you until you're thoroughly blessed
You're welcome
Since y2001 ? You kidding us? Actually since 1999 when Fawad conceived/pondered creating AmpliComm & started motions, leading to AmpliTech 2y later.
Dueto "leaving" Miteq... ohh I forgot, quitting is bad for losers like us, but for him quitting was "a strategic move, after Axel Kiis (famous x-Presient of Miteq) died. Anyway,
can you calculate (present)2020-2001 (or -1999)
How many years is that ???
I see all the time companies born & achieve something in a couple years in terms of Revenue/per capita of involved personnel.
If you make <$250K/capita/year after several years of existance w/sort of funding he elected (spent own money & destroyed FICA Score, initially), you might be in trouble, UNLESS you're in some far-fetched State-of-the-Art research funded by OPM (Other People's Money) but that's wasn't AmpliTech; i.e. it wasn't & isn't "Bells Labs" of sorts, or IBM TJ Watson Research Centre circa 1940's or creating Cloak on Invisibility, Null Transport, or Immortality solution (Aubrey De Grey), or such. Even though initially, AmpliTech riding on Miteq's "know-how" (despite hypocrisy of accusing of same thing of bringing much knowledge out of Amplitech, by his/other employees !!) was achieving several milestones, e.g. supplied several units to even (!) NIST, Raytheon, Boeing, & several other coveted/impressive customers, but financially what does "afew units" mean? - it's just a "vehicle" to instill confidence in OTHER, more "mass-product" customers, UNLESS the small-qty/"esoteric" customers pay enormous profit margin... but they didn't. Selling 10 pieces of whatever LNAmp doesn't feed your company of several people & Test equipment, it's just a good P.R.
In fact LowNoise fatcor co. of Sweden was/still doing same "academic excercizes" except they were able to widen applications & not w/o my input/criticism to their managers & key distributor, I just told them what blocks their esoteric application from mass-market (most DCbiasing, input overload, etc. problems associated w/unreliable Phosphides material at room/commercial temp. rather than cryo/labs).
It's just AMPLIFIERS, built mostly by textbooks, classics, like Pozar's book & some super-thick book Miteq unloaded onto me in 2005 & such.
(Miteq had a bad habit of publishing TOO MUCH Tech info, hoping replicating it is hardly possible dueto enormous investments esp. fiber-optics, but Chinese had no issue w/Government drecting mass money into "priority" projects, in my opinion & I warned them to quit publishing, they agreed but the "machine" was slow to react, they continued self-damaging)
Note: this is a RANT, so expected to be annoyed w/truth!
You people are kids.
There's no way to exist since 2001 or 1999 and STILL keep "projecting" for a Public co. BUT as a private business is OK - created jobs, feeds people, owner wasn't greedy/got paid only since recently (& even now underpaid), e.g. Fawad (owner, CEO, chief engineer/designer, 2 or 3 University degrees) was driving some of the WORST CARS in AmpliTech's parking lot for years, worse than his non-college educated employees - that's how he sacrificed himself, until recently, gave big perks to employees when he couldn't afford cash like free housing, ultra-flex.schedule, etc, etc. So as a private co, credit goes out to Fawad.
But as a Public co. claiming what it DID in PR's & other promos & etc. claims - it's a "hotair baloon"... are you afraid of folks like JNY (?) & "Steven" from poking your baloon w/a "truth" finger?
See, Fawad does have a talent besides Technical/Executive talent, namely - he can "Convince", at least he COULD in past, that "white is black & black is white", i.e. he was a "Confidence Artist/Master", he'd make you so excited & driven, if you went to Engr.Management classes they teach you it is one of the traits of a Leadership (talent), OK... except stuff he promoted wasn't quite as big as pictured & numerous times.
Do you know the documents I've seen?? I've seen Business Plan(s) & Growth Charts presented to investors like in "ancient times" - around y2002-2003, it projected making around $20 Million ($15M adjust for inflation) revenue around y2006-7 or so, ha! We all know the real figures, & no don't mention "Great Recession" b/c it happaned only/after y2008, also State-of-the-Art tech co. shouldn't be subject to severe effect from commodity/consumer/subprime lending crisis, anyway... if you got a nice product NOBODY can do (as PR's claimed).
The story w/joint.venture w/"Brain Waves co." ("Jedi Mind of California", later dueto a lawsuit of Lucas Film (trademark) renamed to "Mind technologies"), which I worked hard for (wrote a lengthy mixed Presentation/Research ["White Paper"] serving as one of the factors that Jedi's company's owner/execs visited AmpliTech & formed a joint turned out tobe a hot baloon, and guess what - I almost KNEW IT from first 10 minutes of fawad starting the talk, but I was obliged to work hard under heavy spell/conviction/belief that Fawad knows something I cannot comprehend. Unfortunately i was right, on technical level, that Jedi had no technical resources to interpret Brain Waves, DARPA funded more real players in this area & Amplitech's frequencies in RF/MW (>0.3GHz) meant NOTHING for ultra-low freq. of Brainwaves & Instrumentation OpAmps I envisioned oen must use... turned out to be true.
Or another example, a brieft stint w/hiring a total more on "Nick" & his crazy son, to "help" Amplitech run accounting - was more like disrupt it, I couldn't stand Nick, in fact his son was more pleasant albent mental patient, why? - the guy spent a lifetime in heavy metals & Steel recycling, so we so desperate to hire this electronic more on just b/c o fhis "money bag"? OK it happens all the time in business, EXCEPT you don't let more ons run your business, you let them invest, not "INJECT" themselves too deeply into it. let the guy recycle steel & seek doctors (he was sick, IMO), not manage electronics, for heaven's sake!
Or, hiring Fawad's "old friend" who seems to have lost his skills dueto disease or something (after angrily ejecting from AeroFlex), who caased Amplitech spend >$10Grands on USELESS "Mysis" software, & hiring a bunch of other OLD DUDES from Miteq whose primetime knowledge became OBSOLETE & energy collapsed dueto bad diets/uncaring for health - stuff like that totally woke me up from "Confidence Coma", stuff that makes you realize this "company's mindstate is forever"
There's no cure. I mean, can you cure Kyphosis (a hammer doesn't count as cure).
Likewise can you cure author of this post from wasting time on ranting online? Actually YES ! - rightnow I stop posting, when Internet goes down dueto meteorite strike.
Point is - S&P rose INSANELY & e.g. DOW.JONES isn't far from hitting 30,000 - UNFATHOMABLE rise, during D.Trump's reign.
Yet AMPG hasn't followed, i mean - even a NON.growing ($revenue, profits, whatever), most NON-exciting companies' stocks are likely to rise simply dueto the "tide effect"/investors' overall confidence.
In other words, what (really!) sucks is watching frequentl almost every few days, & sometimes GIGANTIC increases in S&P & Dow.Jones yet "your" stock of AMPG is stuck in y2014 Obama era or something
Do YOU remember (I DO!) when AMPG was >80cents/share? - soon after IPO, which is typical/common spike after IPO, but the way it melted down wasn't too typical, it's long-term/stagnating/"Black Hole" - once in, admit it's hard to get out.
I made some mistakes, but I've never made mistakes on OTC/PinkSheet & other nonsense chase of a "quick.dollar", Iam not a kid anymore.
Mistakes I did make were on a caouple "big boys" like GE, MAXR & CryptoCurrency/e.g. BitCoin, all of which however are small peanuts, comparing to people losing, say a House in wildfire in California ($0.6-1Million loss), or worst of all - losing Health, and professionals nowadays in America makeup that money I've lost in under half-year, at work. No biggie
BUT Iam guilty of wasting time right.now & many times in past posting on this WebForum, and I've not so in many months if not a year(s), & feel sorry for posting yesterday/today, whereas I should've stayed shut.up, as I've been a long time. Reason opened mouth yesterday, after a lengthy break, is imaginng how you folks feel dropping AGAIN & AGAIN, now to 6 cents.
My advise to Fawad would be:
a) Sell co. & enjoy life for a couple years (can't do anything similar dueto NCA Agreement after sale) AND/OR if obsessed w/staying Publicly-traded,
b) Find some Angel/Benefactor who can fund transition AmpliTech to NASDAQ, let alone DOW/TSX/FTSE/whatever "real" exchanges. B/c one can't continue trading on OTC & hoping serious boys will invest into you (even hard to use some Brokerages' mobile.apps to trade penny stocks, & personally I rarely traded "on a desk", instead typ. traded in bed or in car/pref. outdoors w/WiFi antenna to catch nearby free spot, from my Android, so once I make at least several $hundred in a day or sometimes $600-900/day, go eat whatever best find (roasted dolphins, panda, swans, etc.) (& give some to less fortunate/homless folks here in CA, to not feel guilty of wasting money), one day I woke up to see account jump by +$4000 dueto NTNX, other day had a MYO jump by $Thousands/day
However, what did I get from AMPG? Laying in bed watching money burned dueto AFFINITY. I invested into it dueto Affinity, i.e. love for the place that gave me a job & part of career, but that's precisely what blinded me from seeing its "fundamentals", initially.
Same reason a herd of sheep followed Bernie Madoff who (mind boggling !!) burned $65 BILLION (!)
AMPG isn't Madoff, but just as an example of - "Affinity" can drive you nuts. Like Husband invests in Wife but wife goes under temporary "Lunatic" condition & can't run finances/squanders/becomes insolvable & yet you continue pumping funds into it... b/c you're related
P.S Surely a rabid post, but can't stay serious/pedantic 100% of time. Past 2 days Iam "unwinding"... hence, don't take all i wrote in past 2 days too "literally" - some of it are jokes & misspellings, typing fast in car... on a break.
I don't say hopelessly outdated, but say overhyped/smoke.screen for non-technical people & becoming increasingly so, as Golden Era of Miteq stuff where you could command $Thusands for connecting a few transistors under a microscope, because you found those specific transistors & matching networks that give desired/highly-custom result, has passed.
Profits are still there, super.profits of the past, however, gone
I remember holding a roughly 1-inch square housing sold for $18,000 to US Dept of State, a FiberOptic link (w/basic LNA frontend & TIA (TransImpedance amp) at Miteq, remember pure Electrical (no Optics) stuff crazy basic circuits, sold for $2.5-4K to Euro & Russian space agencies, basic mod of a regular LNA to call it "Cryogenic" & jacking up price into stratosphere, just by removing one (1) components that wouldn't survive -198*C/liquid Nitrogen & making an inlet for said liquified N2, etc., etc. - those times passed.
In general, LNAmps segment of High-Freq. Electronics, in $Dolalr value is small & Amplitech's never truly widened product.line to HiPowerAmps w/characteristics in hot demand at the time i.e. airborne/efficient Ku+.bands radar.TXamps (typ. for Drones, e.g. UAV's, Ships, etc.) & space.vehicle-to-vehicle & to earth (downlinks) all the way to 40/55GHz, that era ALSO passed - market is saturated (incl. GaN's became commodity years ago, phased out LDMOS, except where high linearity required), what else... Wireless.5G & frquenices in Millimeter-range, Amplitech can't & frankly give it afew more years & that'll pass too
I PERSONALLY witnessed a Chinese man stating Millimeter-wave joint in California propelling from zero to $8Million/year revenue in 2-3 years whereas Amplitech spending 16+ years talking about stuff. This man doesn't even need money anymore, too much, he just wants to teach & being a chairman, and hired a CEO instead of himself.
I've seen stuff in Silicon Valley. I've seen people who go from 0 to 90 in split-second. Going Public/trading on stock.exchanges isn't their focus, by the way, though some did.
I'd say Fawad's BEST HOPE - is sell company say for $6-10 Million (??), sign NCA Agreement say for 2-3 years, relax in comfort, then start something new or just throw in a towel & let his son take the reins of power (unless Baseball is more important to him). What am I insane? Blame GreenTea overdose
As a Publicly traded co it's a "lame duck", but at the end of the day, people have jobs/get hourly rates (or got salaries, like this author), Fawad been (& hopefully still) so nice/humane, etc, etc.
But you folks, public.investors, I hope you won't lose
Did you know I'd love to sleep over 6 hours/day ??
AmpliTech usedto, its CEO & VP Rojas, mock mainstream industry for "dropping MMIC's into a meta cavity, call it a nice LNAmp & done... dumb", well unfortunately this is how it's become b/c MMIC's are no longer so dumb or untunable, I won't list devices here obviously for proprietary reasons but I found better components after leaving NewYork...
No I've not owned shares of AMPG for several years, now, I used to deep/upto eyeballs, tens of $Thousands dollars, then I lost faith but use YOUR/own judgement & strategy, Iam not a pro/not "career" trader & furthermore not a pro-investor, I just lost lots o fmoney on AMPG years ago & it all started w/its owner convincing me unliek you, in personal proximity, ... insider... I went in it for a 2nd reason, also - hoping no matter how little, "my" money helps employer & security/& intriguiness of my Job, I loved to not just work but also pump own funds into employer, well, but gut feeling wasn't good, for many years, soon after investing I've learned Iam an impulsive fool-investor, IMPULSIVE, the affinity of being insider/working for it, knowing its owner, living "in the house" drove me to load tons of shares of AMPG, then I was frantically unloading.
NONE of the above may apply to you, you might be successful, AMPG today isn't what it was or will be... whatever. NO SPELL CHECK HERE, mobile device/tiny keyboard/in car, sleep-deprived.
Too lazy/tired & sleepy today to write much... just a knee-jerk/quick reaction to your post
Mike, you spent a year or longer to learn this?
I spent 9 1/2 years ON/OFF inside & earlier known its history dating back to 2001, actually I know people in this industry/related spinoffs/acquisitions/startups... that led to AmpliTech, B&Z, Agile, their parent Miteq, Aeroflex/AmpliComm, MilliTech, etc. dating back to late 80's.
I feel sorry for you, but cheer up, AMPG isn't a failure... nor is it a winner, it's just... a lukewarm swamp, once in, it's steadily neither meat nor vegetables, kind of slow-roasted "being there".
However fundamental difference between you public & us insiders is that we're grateful to Fawad (CEO) for the Business/JOBs creation & expanding our knowledge of RF Electronics (it wasn't seriously LEARNing for me, more like updating) & good humanity that he's, as a publicly-traded co though... not stellar.
One may SUSPECT they even regret going public, dueto huge costs for a small biz & yet unmaterialized OPM (Other People's Money) for years & years...
Know why?
I know. I've known it in 2012, 20010, 2008, I didn't know it before 2007 though - the PRODUCT. There's one line of what's become commodity/mundane products that many other companies make, the Golden Era of Miteq-style LNAmps has passed, did I say that years ago??? They didn't listen.
I offered a radical change, but was SLAPPED in the FACE, so I packed.up & left this game.
One last thing - I remember the day I was TERRIFIED, Spring 2010 (?, not sure), when I opened Hittite's online catalog & saw SMT-packaged stuff going to 40GHz, long story short - I ended up doing EXACTLY that, outside AmpliTech.
The day when they literally MOCKED me in the Lab, laughing/dimissing my concern as "weird".
Anyways, keep investing & maybe one day you gonna be Warren's Buffet
Fawad's been listening to bankers/lawyers, instead of engineers. The past 3 years of D.Trump's reign brought us some of the best years in S&P & revival of previously shrinking domestic manufacturing. AMPG should've followed this trend but it's still shackled in the cage of OTC-B instead of (at least) NASDAQ at $1-2 bucks. What does cosmetics of website do? - temporary rise of curiousy in nonTechnical public, while Iam doing big GaN's w/remote control & DAC Converters & DCbias/controls... and that's real Products, not "P.R." God, please help AmpliTech - we want it to succeed... Fawad deserves it for so much effort. At times i thought his last name had an impact on Government's orders (wasn't Anglo-Saxon enough in post-9/11 political climate from early 2000's thru 2010)... i think we lost U.S. Navy order in part dueto politics, not technical Specs.
The "Patents vs. Trade Secrets" approach Fawad explained in this "Investors Q&A" I've known for many many years. Two facts:
A) It is similar to Marki Microwave's approach, started by Mr. Marki sr. & continued by Marki jr (son), PhD.
I was stunned at first after reading Marki's paper on the subject, but it seems working for them, it is a risky/bold way to continually be pushed to innovate while competitors "chase your taillights", but it can be difficult in USA. Outside USA Patents are often violated, anyway (e.g. China)
B) The truth is NOT only was Fawad afraid to pubslish Patents, but the cost. I've seen Patent Lawyer storming out of conference building after unable to agree w/AmpliTech. It cost w/USPTO back then around $25K/filing typically around 2010, maybe less/more nowadays
So it isn't just intentional decision/or "special philosophy" not to file Patents, but also pragmatic saving money. Just 4 Patents can cost $100K. It's combination of fear to publish + not willing to spend money, not just fear of publishing... because a DOZEN+ companies know exactly what/how Amplitech does LNAmps. Not only L3Nada who inherited Miteq, but also now even MiniCircuits who usedto be cr*p, afew years back got Miteq's Engr.Director - Joe Merenda (our friend on the West coast too) & a bunch of other Miteq's went out of Long Island, and besides Miteq's heritage other/well-recognizable MW/mmW co', & Norden, Mercury Sys, etc. ... you name it, they just avoid this niche/low-volume market.
We tune numerous amps/per day, Amplitech's makes fantatsic LNAmps but... at the cost of extremely laborous/LOW-volume tuning. In a way, it's similar to LowNoise Factory co, albeit more commodity/less advanced/cheaper.
The old expression from 1990's & thru 2010's - "dummies just drop MMIC's into metal box & connectorize" is not so dummy nowadays... I can get amazing stuff with MMIC's these days vs. discrte transisotrs, little tuning, and if something can only be done with a front-end FET's... so let AMplitech take it. Each company has its own "specialty" sklll, for AMplitech is it highly customized very low-noise often discretes-based stuff... JUST DON'T make it look like Patentable.
Per USPTO standards most of it hasn't been patentable since years 2000's... and dont' argue with me. I just know better, unlike some of you folks.
I watch MiniCircuits transphormation from mediocrity to what it is now in amazement, they used to private-reLabel others' stuff or copy, but not so bad nowadays So Uniqueness here is fragile, and Patents might be eventually necessary.
Anyways, let's wish luck to Amplitech on the show next week (2-7 June2019) - IMS/MTTS2019, the most major show of the RFMicrowaves world. Especially being in Amplitech's vicinity & fantatsic choice for the venue - Boston MA, near world's top engineering University - MIT, let's hope AmpliTech performs & gets new customers/orders. They deserve it, despite past pi**ing off too many engineers. :)
P.S. Iam not going, it Boston became too far from here, I used to drive there from home on Long Island, but now too much hassle to fly 6+6 hours (and more GaN work is urgent, here)
You know what's weird ?
Fourth time/4th client asked me exactly what AmpliTech wanted to build many years ago (2010) - a big GaN w/safe/automatic DCbias controller. Love it b/c I reuse own previous design effort successively improving it. And pity AmpliTech didn't understand they could have it, but sabotaged it. So much flexibility, protections/ soft rampUp/Down of multi-load Vdrains once Vgate is asserted using in latest 150nm devices in K/Ka/V/E bands GaN on SiC... did it somewhere but couldn't at AmpliTech, however huge credit to AmpliTech for spurring my learning in a subfield I previously avoided since college years...AnalogRF. Still uncomfortable vs. digital logic, but well... GaNtrollers/sequencers/ programmable controls are good. Started at AmpliTech.
Now upgrading buck/boost Cuk DC-DC converter & punp 80 Amperes out thru trenchMOS drain switch into target GaN. 60Volt & 80Amperes & still low-heat/compact. Who could imagine in 2010
Sir Hamlet
In-response to several silly posts, by some newbie over the past week:
AmpliTech is a serious Defense/Government-supplying co., a technology company, not a game or some fad (akin to Marijuana/BitCoin games supported on certain/other boards).
Cool down. AMPG isn't breaking into stratosphere "tomorrow", but it'll rise slowly & surely, it's obviously undervalued dueto I believe listing on OTC-B, hope they can afford progress from OTC-B to NASDAQ to up exposure & daily volumes (in dollars/day).
No way it should cost 4-5cents/share, needs exposure to volumes, I'd estimate fair today would be 28-42cents/share.
Engineers told me they know precisely where money is needed for such RFMicrowave companies, to breakout/explode revenues and up organic growth, besides inorganic they've been trying, it seems needed for test Equipment & skillful assemblers, whereas engineers have enough already at present
We're here for the long-term. A difference between "investor" vs. "trader" is demonstrated in this case. Traders jerk off for fast profits or fast losses, blind towards long-term future, which is bright for AMPG - I think, if it gets acquired by a larger fish seeking IP (Intellectual Property) of AMplitech. After all, Fawad wants to live comfortably and not struggle everyday for too long.
I've no agenda here to "promote" AMPG since it caused me pain in past & I exited Trading entirely, not just AMPG but pulled all cash out of brokerages until I re-allocate/move resources back into trading in mid-Summer 2019, but this company (Amplitech [AMPG]) I watched closely and is a hidden gem. Well, today's my birthday (11 April 2019) & 5.2cents/share is some small but progress creeping up current month dueto good Quarter & Year-end results. I just need to find cash (lacking now :( )to up my position in AMPG.
Someone from L3, Mercury, Heico, or others may acquire AMPG. And Fawad (CEO) deserves it after years of work running this company & a successful department at almighty L3-Miteq that was one of the earliest/most powerful players in RF/Microwave Electronics
This is a serious company & product is difficult to understand by non-Technical people, and it needs exposure on NASDAQ rather than OTC-B
God bless & have a great weekend.
We now added fourth (4th) Keysight PNA-X VNAnalyzer, and expanding E.band radios portfolio, and there's interest from Harris (military radios) group. AmpliTech's (Fawad's) secret dream is probably getting acquired by a larger fish, as possibility of organic growth remains low & inorganic while easier still hasn't been stellar since AmpliTech "inc." converted in "Group inc.", Microphase fell off, x-Miteqs at L3Narda who were ordering from AmpliTech until 2015 came to us looking for alternatives for better VSWR-IN spec & more repeatable/practical NF at higher temperature than AmpliTech, and in general inorganic wasn't a rapid success for AMPG, sofar. So mark my words, the secret dream in Fawad's head is find a decent buyer for the current company (AMPG) & start something new w/zero debt & no personal money/impact on pers. CreditScore involved - insulated from the past. I look at Delta Microwave nearby in Oxnard.CA (i was there sometimes to chit-chat about "good old days") & how Mercury Systems acquired them & removed "dead wood" (employees who weren't contributing much) & how since it's become Mercury's family of companies, and there're similatities to AmpliTech. Though many of acquisitions in Ventura/SantaBarbara/Orange/LA counties in this sort of RFMW-->SatCom field were by HEICO Group, rather than Mercury Systems, even Santa Barbara Infrared (SBIR) was sacked despite it an optical (physics) lab, not electronics co. previously. I'd imagine L3Narda-East buying AmpliTech would be "creme-de-la-crepe", i.e. a dream for Fawad. Else, AmpliTech ain't going to be what his Business Plan joyfully & naively charted back in 2004 & earlier, for investors, like for that old geezer from M/ACom who promised but didn't invest significantly. I saw that plan & charts in it, it projected $30Million/year revenues for year 2010-12 or so & rapid YoY growth.
Bytheway, before SAGE Millimeter inc. (i knew & met its owner) here in Orange/L.A. county, its owner had WiseWave inc. & sold it for $21 Million, waited 2 years under NDA/NCA Agreement & started anew co. - SAGE MM. All this is nothing compared to JCA inc (Jim Chao Associates, he's still dead since 2017, was an alcoholic) sold for $0.8BILLION in prices of year 2019 ($650 Million in original price, but adjust for inflation) by just a few people along w/Jim to "New Focus OptoElectronics", Jim then started CIAOWireless inc. I knew Jim too. I knew many big players in RFMW & Engineering companies in general. And previously thought getting older is outright & overall TERRIBLE, BUT some goodies come with age (!) - a "solve billet", as you grow connectiobs, communication skills & become a better Icehole, who can't recognize the former super-shy, timid, skinny, bashful schoolboy from Europe. Now to celebrate 15th anniversary of this flimsy, senile car that looks like coffin on wheels, still driving it like you can't discard a family member or a pet just b/c they hot old, all she needs noe is a new solenoid in Transmission.
Hilarious, you "don't see any previous literature"... but what do you know about these products besides marketign lingo, you're nto an negineer, WiFi in Flight is OLD "NEWS" & thus market has stiff competition, everytime, time & time again, we see an announcement of a "new" product laying with naive non-technical investors like yourself. It's nto new, btu surely new & good for Amplitech to continue expanding product line, I just say the big words, pompous language of PR's isn't quite reality.
Yet the addition of these products is a good sign.
When you truly invent something you charge whatever high price for it as there's no or little competition. WiFi in flight? Sorry, Norsat, Norden Millimeterm and others had been doing it with superb specs w/o any PR's & privately.
Fora small shop that Amplitech is, it is however is significant expansion.

O'Brien, it was done in 2015-16 at another place & really top specs, sorry to cool your enthusiasm, but truth can ve painful.
Norden Millimeter + Norsat joint + Sage Millimeter + whatever co. are not advertising much such basics, AmpliTech makes a big deal of yesterday's market demands. I do wish AmpliTech success, but can't lie & paint it "feel-good rosey" either, while reality is "it was done" years ago & at prices/performance ratio hard to beat by AmpliTech, I actually know ALL front-end devices in those competing LNB's (LowNoise Blocks taking SatCom freq, BDC it & eventually modulate 5GHz carrier for WiFi in-flight. It's year 2019, wake up... no longer hot/new. Ironically, key front-end pHEMT's are produced not far from here WestCoast, their CEO's come by & chat often, also Japan not far... I swear Fawad's secret dream, obviously, isn't to help you average/little investor, but to up value of company to SELL it so he'd retire nucely &/or start a new one after 2-3 years of NCA (non-compete agreement vs. own sold Corp.) In this regard, he's like most every CEO of such small sized company that isn't growing rapidly enough (18 years since 2001, 20 years since its predecessor AmpluComm), best hope is someone buying whole company when owner loses interest in it, meanwhile he's trying Inorganic growth (thru acquisitions) but you've seen how it's going... someone named Nick in 2010-2011, Mind Technilogies, MicroPhase, flirting w/x-Miteqs from L3... while years, decades of life pass by.
If he suddenly sells AmpliTech, while it sails higher, don't be surprised b/c Recession seems tobe on horizon (economy can't expand forever, it's cyclical) and like houses in 2008, selling while high might be reasonable. But I maybe (& hopefully) dead wrong. Just ponderung, possibilities.

OK.
Still remember, overall economy has grown, and besides absolute figures, remember relative figures - market share% Amplitech occupies hasn't grown. I see most every RF/Microwave co. on the WestCoast supplying US Navy/AirForce, Space, AI, etc. have grown under Trump's military expansion. He isn't Reagan, but similarities are present.
I reemmber when Rudy Giuliani was exstatic about NewYork City's plunging crime rate under his mayoralship, but he forgot entire united States was experiencing similar except several perpetualy criminal areas. Likewise, Amplitech is a ship, being carried upwards by this bulging economy - good for them, but don't forget about marketshare %. I see a bunch of Miteq's former people here on the West Coast, meaning straight Miteq - not like some "few years there, few years elsehwere", but people w/ decades & knowledge from Miteq, living in the West now, also Fawad's age... this stuff should've been happening when he was in 40's, ideally late 30's, not like now close to 60 y.o.
He deserves to retire very comfortably.
Despite having been a pain for some.
Steve Jobs was a mega-pain too, though. Great people aren't great to live with.
Where is my Turmeric & Garlic sandwich...
I have CEO's email but none you ain't getting none from me.
Even under a gun. That's his privacy.
But you may call & chat w/Shaf Khan, he in my opinion was positioned to become President of Vice... err, I mean Vice President, he might (?) disclose email of His Majesty Favio McBool.
Young, but (very) capable, business-focused & learns "on the fly" (fast), despite lacking formal Electronics degree.
However why bother busy people, like they ain't no receiving a million other investors' emails?, plus some birthdays coming up (incl. mine) & typ. it means traveling away from Long Island to Hawaii, French Riviera, or similar
Anwyays, good quarter for AmpliTech, BUT just hope Auditors won't revise it again as happened afew times in past, I've no time to read lengthy reports of something I sold long ago, but just beware of UNaudited reports. The small company has little resources or desire to spend those resources on precision in Accounting.
Other than above concern, a good Quarter.
Meanwhile, company Iam involved with, has grown rapidly too, seems economy is fueled by Trump's garlic breath & specifically US Dept. of DEFENSE (Mlitary) spending is much up, but I'd not ocmmen on international arena, back in the old days Amplitech's international came from Israel & South-East Asia, even in older days from Europe, now I wouldn't know.
Iam getting a 5G Phone and hoping for 'AmpliTech inside" logo. Ok kidding.
Fawad should move co to California. Yes we got Pelosi & ultra-liberal mob, but so does NewYork along w/dumber population, clown Alexandria Cortez, mayor DiBlastio (real/birthname Wilhelm), terrible (!) climate & long distance from Asia which nowadays supplies West coast w/engineers akin to Europe supplied brains to East coast until 1960's/Kennedy era. I'll have 70's *F/dry this week in daytime & a tech company + world class University on every corner. Though east has MIT & U.Penn and no rampant homelessness/mental cases as we experience on the West coadt
I WISH ONE THING would happen rather soon:
Someone or an institution sue DPW Holdings (which owns MicroPhase) & chiefly its Chief Executive Crook Mr. Todd Ault III in a CLass.Action lawsuits, to smitherins, stopp the bleeding at MicroPhase & solate Amplitech from this DPW Holdings mess.
Iam quite angry and watchign closely for class.action suits, so far none vs. DPW Holdings, although vs. GE & MAXR there were promptly numerous class.actions of which Iam maybe a member to receive compensation (even 70% recovery after 30$ attorney fee is good enough).
WHo's hurting Amplitech? - not really MicroPhase but DPW Holdings which holds MicroPhase, Mr. Todd Ault II to prison!
And don't touch Mr. AMos - that CEO of actual/original DPW Defense Electronics (Digital Power corp) is a fine man, engineer, hinest. Todd Ault is the one who corrupted everythign with his scheming, datign back to 1990's, he was already investigated, he is the man behind DPW -->MicroPhase failure b/c he dumped bulk of assets into BITCOIN MINING oeprations, & purchased a hydropower dam just to supply electricity for this charade
Hi Mike
You asked "why MicroPhase originally invested in AMPG ?"
Because Fawad has to be in Politics. He can, or at elast he COULD convince, people do things. He does have a vision, just didn't get lucky as Steve Jobs or Elon Musk.
Iam not kidding. VERY SMALL events can derail great visionaries, history is replete with examples of smart people ending nowhere. You only oneed a few lucky events, like be in the same conference or kucnh with someone for that spark to fan into a large fire of enterprise.
Or you can have a Pakistani/Muslim name in the era in America of widespread distrust esp. from Military/Security/Government top-tier contractors, despite him & his brother having contributed by far more to America than countless natives having Irish last names & 100% Christian backgrounds.
He didn't get lucky... sofar
But he can convince people & so he did Microphase. I've talked to MicroPahse's CEO & CFO by the way the other year when I held investment in DPW Holdings which acquired MicroPhase & thus in turn Amplitech. I held it but it blew up causing me a $16,000 loss, CEO or rather CFO (I don't remember exacly whom I got on the phone) told me floor fell out under AMPG & they started selling, but in truth floor fell out under microPhase itself, not AmpliTech.
And then crook Todd Ault III finished the "coffin" of DPW/MicroPhase, that man must be in PRISON. He was even afarid to return my VoiceMails & LinkedIn messages, when I warned him going from 4-6 bucks/share to 10 cents... heh... it did happen, it's 9 cents now. I talked to everyoneI could reach at DPW Defense Electronics division, and then CFO at MicroPhase, but sold too late, glad I sold even at $16,000 loss as it could've been $27,000 loss
Trouble with MicroPhase selling is MicroPhase's own problem has spilled out to affect innocent Amplitech.
MicroPhase was acquired by that super-crook disgusting DPW Holdings helmed by Todd Ault III (just look at his photo, I don't judge by appearance, that's what kids do, but.... he so looks like a crook).
So DPW Holdings owns MicroPhase & DPW is in mega-trouble, it's on "life support", it ruined itself with CryptoCurrencies, blind faith in BitCoin - thanks to chairman Todd Ault who was previously sued in the state of NewYork for operating illegal Strip bar or something. The man used investors' money to buy a hydropower dam in upstate NewYork to feed hungry BitCoin mining farm, so DPW owns MicroPhase which in turn wasn't in great shape before DPW acquired it, anyway.
SO you can imagine why MicroPhase is selling Amplitech cheap - MicroPhase needs money, ANY MONEY from ANYWHERE even at great loss, it needs money now or go bankrupt.
This isn't Amplitech’s problem but unfortunately Fawad sold so many shared (first batch was worth $0.3Million) to MicroPhase back when I was in Maryland, I remember, now MicroPhase is dumping it.
Meanwhile, Amplitech’s problem has been for nearly 2 decades & remains - lack of college educated engineers. Not the hacks who "learn on the fly" coming from unrelated fields. There's only one real engineer there - Fawad himself but he runs a business & he's beyond age of curiosity of dealing with details/small things, he is a visionary, yet he never got the 2nd, 3d, 4th.. hands to design. His brother doesn't count b/c despite formal Electrical Engineering degree that man is actually Computer-focused EE & even that is ,ore soft than hardware. He wouldn't know what poly-Si gate is & why it isn't in microwave pHEMTS, deep stuff like that.
Form time to time you must suffer. I use Library as office nowadays as GE & MAXR ate $90,000 of my assetts so I can't pay Office rent. Well, at elast I can rent an apartment but prefer library as office, to isolate noise from the building. What led to it? greed. I bought so much GE & MAXR after making quick gains on them initially, and giant gains on NTNX & MYO, which then evaorated & went into massive negative before I realized my greed prevented me from selling when already had enough gain, I wanted more... got less.
I was ordered by Emperor to stop posting here, even if truth.
I know all that, and it's the reason I bought max. number of shares I could afford today, as it's inevitably will bounce up somewhat - keyword is malfunctioning satellite is INSURED and Lockheed martin is a premier/reliable/US Defense company so compensation for the loss is very likely.
However panic is obvious and may continue awhile, meanwhile I wish I had a Margin account to buy more MAXR while so cheap.

I got approval to ship Free parts to AmpliTech, not huge amount but decent... hopefully helps them reduce expense, whereas honestly people outside AmpliTech wanted my parts but i know theirs wouldn't be optimal utilization. Having lost $60K on GE, Iam beyond regretting to lose merely $2-4K more.
Possibly lost an important customer.
I maybe wrong, but heard rumors AmpliTech lost (entirely or partially) Israeli MoD/aka GoI, that government was originally reason AmpliTech grew & survived infancy 15 some years ago & GoI continued tobe top customer, so much so that in some years they gave $0.45-0.60Million orders (adjusted for current inflation), I'd speculate as usual was unacceptable (slow) lead times from AmpliTech, some orders taken by AmpliTech
but never delivered & yet GoI patiently waited for years, dueto certain governmental "lock-in" agreements & fear of alternatives, well... apparently this revenue stream dried off.
Like "end of an era".
But (!) I maybe totally wrong, & frankly Asians increased their ordering from AmpliTech (so they could copy/steal technology, Fawad kniws but can't refuse orders, needs cash.flow) to offset reduction in GoI, & rumors aren't facts, yet there's no fire w/o smoke. GoI was a top customer, due to ever-tense situation in MiddleEast (military radars/comm)
I SOLD ALL (entire MAXR position) AGAIN, not buying until cheaper, I post [these] useless updates nobody cares about - to makesure world knows it... fact that I sold entire MAXR position again.
Too expensive, maybe buy at $13.50-15, maybe stop buying entirely.
Just creating traffic to this board.
I SOLD ENTIRE Position again, today. Now you know what I am doing, recently... MAXR became a gift that keeps on giving, not only recovered loss but now is a (Net) gain in $Thousands. Won't buy again until it drops to or below levels I bought previous 2 times
I re-BOUGHT (MAXR) AGAIN - today, fools were selling cheap enough. Even as I don't expect to repeat a "huge" gain quickly, it shoukd rise modestly & today's drop deserved to be bought even as it's +$2 higher than what I paid for my initial run few days ago. $16-17 is too cheap to be passed on, bought 1900 shares, leaving a (cash) margin to buy more if dips more, my problem is more cash tied on GE that also expected to rise, modestly, not rapidly.

AGAIN, Iam BACK IN - Myo is sufficiently cheap to buy again, $40,000 POSITION !!!
I SOLD ALL.
At some decent profit, but overall I haven't gained since I'e lost approx. same amount months ago on MAXR.
My net result is thus near-zero, btu I feel good havign recovered loss.
I think it rose too much the past 2 days, not buying back, yet - need to see performance next quarter
