mortgage70, finally found my records from transferring from TDWaterhouse to Datek. Transfer started on a Friday and I was able to trade the next Friday.
When I transferred inhouse from Datek to A'trade it took just one day. (couldn't trade pinkies with Datek)
mortgage70, I've transferred accounts a few times. They always tell you 10-20 days but I've always been up and running in 4-6 days.
Keep in mind the transfer can't start until all your funds/trades are settled.
"so how could it be interfering with the motherboard video?"
If 3 are working, then it's probably not interfering.
On Saturday, I'd pull out the present card and put in the new card. If it doesn't work, then the new card is caput.
As for the drivers, if the cards are identical, you shouldn't be getting a black screen. To me that says it's either the new card or the PCI slot is bad.
You're probably right about the PCI vs AGP cards for 4 outputs. You may need to go with 3 PCI cards.
Because you're trading, this is definitely a weekend project.
Go to those links I gave you, sign up and ask your questions. Those people will get you going.
I'm not sure, but I do know that there can be problems trying to use the onboard video with additional video cards. BOREALIS is having that problem with an HP machine.
Definitely check out those links I gave you. You may end up needing to get a third card and disabling your onboard video. Or getting a card with 4 outputs.
If both cards are identical I'd try it with just the newer one installed. If it doesn't work there's probably something wrong with the card. Did you get my PM? In it I gave you a couple of links to other computer support forums.
So you've currently got 3 monitors working?
The reason I suggested trying just the new one is to see if it'll work by itself. If it won't it's probably DOA. (dead on arrival)
bagheera, have you tried taking out the older card and putting in just the new one? Components can be bad right out of the box.
bagheera, lets take this over to the Dream Machine board. BTW, did you get my PM?
OT: bagheera, you've got a PM
What version of nvidia's drivers are you using? You might try a newer one. You may need to experiment with several. I'd go with at least the 43.45 driver then work your way up. The most current one appears to be 53.04. However some people do better with a driver slightly older than the newest one.

If you don't know which one you've currently got, open device manager and double click on display adapters. In there it'll tell you what driver version you're running.
Right click "my computer>manage>device manager>display adapters".
bagheera, what operating system are you running? And is one of your video cards "onboard"? Meaning is it part of the mother board?
Edit: How many monitors are you trying to run?
Ooops, found it. 54M OS, 18-20M float
KY, What's the OS for FLCR? Ameritrade shows 38M, I think I've seen that it's closer to 54M. TIA
We bounced off the 5 day sma today. As long as we stay above that line, the run is still alive.
If you remember Friday, they took it up to .42 then down to .35 then back up for a .42 close. So I can't see how today's action could take anyone by surprise.
And we still closed well above the old .365 resistance.
lawtell, if you buy a new notebook keep in mind that alot of schools require XP Pro. XP Home won't work with large networks.
spockster202, you talking about IMTS?
stock190, thanks. Ameritrade is really screwed up today. Now they're telling me JRVR is at .175¢...lol
CTKH, how high has this been today? Ameritrade is telling me .011¢ TIA
pglover19, check out this forum for low priced stocks:

omniman, CYPT did a reverse split some time ago. Previous symbol was CALY.
Zachjos, I've never transferred into Freetrade but I've done a few other transfers including 2 into Ameritrade.
Despite what the brokerages say, it's never taken longer than 3-4 days to complete for me.
Keep in mind that they can't/won't transfer anything until all trades are settled. So you've got a 3 day wait before the transfer can start. This is true even if you're transferring from one account into another at the same brokerage. (at least with Ameritrade)
sempris, re:QuoteTracker, I've always used auto routing, never tried Island so can't say.
32sma x 200sma FLCR, CTKH, RNKE
3 recent stocks that reacted positively to these 2 sma lines crossing:
And 2 where the crossing is close:
One more just about there:
That's why some people recommend selling only half your position at the double.
Luv2Trade, I transferred a Datek account (owned by Ameritrade) to my Ameritrade account in the latter part of November. Both cash and stock holdings were involved with no problem.
One thing that can delay the process is if you're actively trading the stocks you're trying to transfer. They won't transfer anything if you have any positions that haven't settled. Meaning all positions must be at least 3 days old to transfer.
I personally sold one stock and bought another the day before the transfer was to go through which delayed the entire process by another 2-3 days.
Also..they tell you it'll take 6-8 days (or more) to make the transfer when it actually only takes about 2-3 days.
HYTT, just above the 32 SMA and Stochastics at 69 and rising. Very similar to FLCR 12 days ago.
CollegeKid28, I can only guess that they've got restrictions on your account that they don't have on mine.
I can sell a stock and use the unsettled proceeds to immediately buy another stock. No warning, no nothing.
skunksyard, when I checked Ameritrades policy I found out that they in fact don't freeze your account. I had read it wrong when I posted post 17966
Capitalist, excellent information.
lancebps, I agree but on rereading the warning it wasn't nearly as sternly worded as I had remembered it.
Live and learn.
A closer look at Ameritrades policies regarding settlement restrictions shows this:
"The following example illustrates activity that will result in an account being restricted:
A client is holding $10,000 cash in a cash account. The client then makes the following transactions:
The client buys a position in Company A for $10,000, applying the $10,000 in cash to pay for the purchase.
The client then sells that position in Company A and nets at least $10,000 in sale proceeds.
Next, the client buys a position in Company B for $10,000, relying on the proceeds of the sale of Company A shares that have not settled to pay for the purchase.
Before the sale of Company A has settled, the client sells the position in Company B and nets $10,000.
In the above example, the client sold Company B shares before paying for them. Trading in this manner in a cash account may result in a 90-day restriction, limiting purchases to the settled cash in the account on trade date.
These restrictions may be avoided by
Adding funds to your account;
Combining accounts; or
Converting to a margin account*.
So that definitely answers my question.
greed_kills, looks like I should have just gone ahead and sold that tanking issue. I hadn't read it accurately the first time as it says it may result in a restriction to cash but wouldn't freeze the account.
DeeDee, great, then that's the route I'm going to take. Thanks.
