What version of nvidia's drivers are you using? You might try a newer one. You may need to experiment with several. I'd go with at least the 43.45 driver then work your way up. The most current one appears to be 53.04. However some people do better with a driver slightly older than the newest one.

If you don't know which one you've currently got, open device manager and double click on display adapters. In there it'll tell you what driver version you're running.

Right click "my computer>manage>device manager>display adapters".
