All this display stuff is great but IMHO I feel like we are getting to eat dessert first with display tech, because the real meat and potatoes will come through Solterra. When that train gets to station then the true plan will be in place. If that is still in the plans.
I'll be holding out until solar comes along but I hope QD Displays lets me sleep better at night.

Of all the QDot suppliers who can supply what markets?
The other vendors, QDV, Nano/Dow, 3M only seem to every be tied to displays, and mostly TV displays...right?
Who is supplying and can they supply:
sensors, solar, lasers, lighting, biomedical, construction, billboards, cell phones, tablets, apparel, google glasses, etc.
Come on ART, tell us WE ARE!!!

Do you think a company like QDV goes public if there is a company perhaps like QMC who could potential take away a lot of their business?
-Duke
I read something like that in the WSJ today reviewing the Las Vegas CES. To stream 4k you need a 15 megabits per second internet line so you probably want like a 25 mbps line so you can still surf your TQDiPad while watching 4k. Darn it...I already pay like 250 a month to Comcast it looks like 400 is right around the corner.
With QMC bringing the costs to make a tv down, Cable providers will probably give you a 4k 60inch tv with a two year triple play service contract.
Sorry for the random thoughts, but DDHawk has got me reading and looking for things all over the place just to try ( and I mean try) to keep up.

By the time we are able to purchase a QMC TV it should be a drop in the bucket for all of us!
The other thing about these 4K TV's is that it also requires another viewing transmission to take full advantage of the TV. So, the first obstacle will be why buy a 4k when we can only view HD. Sounds a little picking but logical when paying for something you can't use.
However, I still can't wait to buy my first QMC TV!

Crunch.
What do the NDA's represent? We have 25 of them, that are currently listed, do each one represent a potential different company/contract or can mulitply NDA's represent the same company/contract not to disclose specific aspects of the company/contract?
Either way it goes...I am buckled in for blast off.

I wish I had your patience to wait so long. If you don't mind me asking, at this point what else are you waiting to see to make a move? Just contracts?

Good Morning Fellas,
Back on schedule after Christmas and thank you so much for the refresher about TQD vs SQD!
2014 should be the year!

DUKE
Good Morning DD.
Can you and Crunch give me a quick refresher on the Pros and or Cons of tetrapod quantum dot verses a spherical quantum dot?
Thanks and Merry Christmas to all,
-Duke
Hey Bill.
I think this year is the year to finally attend your Christmas open house with Bob and shake your hand with Great Thanks for spreading the word about QMC. May this be the last Christmas I wait to have a QMC TV under my tree.

Nice update DD!
Funny thing...I was driving into work today strangely enoungh thinking, " I wonder how Art is doing and would he be overly happy right now with what he knows but still in the shoes as the moderator here." I believe he is doing well and we will all be right behind him soon.
Safe and Happy Holiday's Everyone,

Any updates or summaries available from the IDTECHEX this past week? I looked but I am asking in case any of you have an in.

It is shaping up to look that way, but I still think I have one more year left in the tank until I start personally start calling every manufacturer trying to sell TQD's for them!

Can we make it to 25 cents with a little bit of news before the end of this year?

Coincidence or not, that is nice work by you! We all appreciate your continued efforts helping everyone to "See the light."
Have a great weekend everyone.

This is cool stuff and very exciting tech. I am a diabetic and the thought of nanotech loaded with insulin that can deliver/ release insulin inside the body as the nano network detects that your blood sugar is rising will basically cure 80% of the disease.
QMC opens with display, then lighting, then bio, then solar, then...
Good Times are ahead for all...IMHO

A day in the history of drama on this board. When I first started reading here the only drama was who could post the most info first... PV or DD?
Then again we weren't holding shares for 3+ years and getting late filings around every turn.
Nevertheless, I have all most finished my "I told you so dance!"

BIG E - What would you like to see in the Q? Any predictions from anyone else?
I have asked this before but can an 8K be included inside the Q?
GLTA
- Duke
If there is something in the Q we should see it Friday and if it is cookie cutter we'll see it Monday?
Just asking.
Also, I really don't Facebook but anyone heard from Free?
Hey DD, any updates on the OLED Summit from PV?
-Duke
BTW C55...Nice work on "nanalyze"

Nice Chess! That is a great before bed read.
Things are coming together, I can't imagine how it will all come together when bio and solar board the TQD Train!

I agree BigE...There is nothing wrong with a little fluff to keep the people sleeping well at night. It would only take a stable 10-12 cents for the people on this board to let this stock sit for another year and a half. However, this news is nothing close to fluff, this news seems like the true beginning! JMHO.
Nice work Poster, it always makes my day to share the info to the people in my office who think I am a crazy kid(34 with two kids).

Whether the samples are free or not the main thing you should grab from that PR is that QMC met the customers spec.
"Quantum Materials recently developed tetrapod quantum dots to meet the client's performance specifications."
Meeting the customers spec is usually more than half the battle. At least in the oleo chemical world where I work. JMHO.

3 cents is really really tough to deal with for all of us, but Dr. Bob isn't the issue or question.
The question still is, are we ready to meet the market or is the market ready to meet us?
If Bob jumped because he thinks neither above is true we are in trouble but our tech still provides enough information that we can open doors for anyone ready to use Quantum Dots in mass production.
If I had Bob's shares and an opportunity to make real cash I might jump too, especially if the door is open to return to QMC when the contracts start being signed.
GLTA
It is still a pleasure to sweat this one out with all of you.
-Duke
Good Morning DDHawk.
Other than QD Vision is there another QDot light bulb out there?
Also, in your opinion is the market for QDots here or is the market for mass R&D for QDots here? I understand that Sony is pushing out a TV but not until Walmart and Costco push out that same tech will I consider it really ready for everyone.
-GLTA
Thanks,
Duke
What’s the Deal and how does the deal work?
Let’s just say that they had a red qdot deal for lighting, samples were approved, and mass production of the custom red qdot was verified. What are the steps that need to be taken and how long does it take to get a signature? Anyone, Crunch, DDHawk, BigE, PV ;O) ???, ih8?

-Duke
BIG E... can a 8K be covered inside the next Q or does the 8K always have to be separate?
Thanks
-Duke
I hear you. I don't really get too high or too low with this investment. I am on the "When Train" with QMC not the "If Train" and living in the Philly Suburbs and being a person who came on board via ih8aloss I just keep my ear to the ground for my extra DD and peace of mind.
Random Question: Any other Philly "Driveway Birthday" Boys here?
-Duke
This is probably a repost, but I don't remember reading this. I remember reading about samples to the govt. but not specifically supplying.

Quantum Materials Supplies Tetrapod Dots to DoE
CARSON CITY, Nev., March 29, 2013 — Quantum Materials Corp. (QMC) has developed and delivered customized tetrapod quantum dot samples for applications under development by Department of Energy National Lab researchers.
QMC also will supply customized tetrapod quantum dots to a US government defense-related agency in support of a nanobiological project.
The DoE National Labs, Energy Innovation Hubs and Technology Centers are developing quantum dot and other nanoscale applications in physics and the biological sciences, including solar photovoltaics, batteries and biofuels. An example is its work at Los Alamos National Lab exploring quantum dot-fluorescent proteins in devices using pH-sensitive fluorescent protein acceptors to produce long-lived bioimaging sensors.
QMC offers high-brightness cadmium-based and ecological cadmium-free nonheavy-metal tetrapod quantum dots and can synthesize many Group II-VI inorganic mono or hybrid tetrapod quantum dots.
The company intends to build out its quantum dot production facilities in the US with full commercial production expected in the fourth quarter of 2013.

Just so we all are clear, "incubator / collaboration facility"
"refining their manufacturing processs" ...not developing : I think there is a big difference there.

BTW, a couple of weeks ago I emailed STAR Park to get their impression of QMC.
This was the reply,
"Reddy forwarded your e-mail inquiry concerning Quantum Materials Corp. The firm has an R&D lab located in STAR One, the University's technology business incubator/collaboration facility. They are further refining their manufacturing processes for tetrapod quantum dots technology to production scale. Quantum dots have a variety of applications including solar cells, biosensors and LED lighting.
Your original e-mail has been forwarded to them.
Sincerely,

Executive Director, STAR Park "

Hey Crunch.
Steve is way to smart for the outright buy but what would that mean for the stock if it were to happen? This is totally a hypothetical question because since I read "tea leaves" I am sure it has probably been at Steve's table by now to be bought out and REJECTED. IMHO anyway.
-Duke
Good Morning Everyone,
It looks like we all remain in line waiting to get on the roller coaster ride.
Anyway, TedJ. I don't agree with your people in the know comment because I think that all of those people are loaded with stock and patient enough to let this thing take off. Pretty much no different than any of us here. I am dead broke with nothing left to invest but if I could I would, however, with an upper 6 digits of shares I am happy to be calm and let QMC continue to hit on their goals.
GLTA,

Does this (nextsc.com) answer my question about where we are? We are in Japan?
Right on! I am betting heavily on a contract before August 1st. It is time for me to go back to just being a reader.
Keep up the good work gentlemen, and work on your "I told you so" dance in the mirror!
I knew someone was going to answer with they are in Texas. I mean are they working on something in Canada, the Netherlands, Japan, China, or maybe Saudi Arabia? We know they are somewhere, but where?
Shouldn’t we know something like this, like Obsolete says, “is it time to ask these questions?"
I get the tech well enough to get people excited but just like you and the rest of the people here who share the good news, everyone we share with wants to see sales before they invest big or a concrete idea that sales and contracts are really around the corner.
I don’t mean to stir the pot; I believe you guys know what to ask better than I do, so I was asking all of y’all what you know.
-Duke
Other than Crunch do any of us know where QMC is right now? Literally, where are they? What are they working on? Do we know how many contracts have been turned down or reviewed? I work for a small but successful oleo chemical distributor and we get offers to be bought ever month, I bet QMC is probably getting one every week at this point. They probably started getting contract offers from small companies in the know but now have expanded to the heavy weight manufactures since they have officially came out and can/are mass producing qdots that no one else can produce. All of us here understand the market is finally here and we are ready to meet the market, however the dots I would like to connect is where are they and what are they doing? <--? I am asking the people of this board if they know.
