I note that no one as yet has commented on the change in news service away from PR Newswire and TO PRIMEZONE Media. Allow me to be the first. Appears to me they may be attempting to reach out to a different audience:

Once you gain access, select the "Quote" tab at the top and type in the stock symbol. When the two line quote appears, look at the "Price" shown on the second line. That's the last trade and volume of the trade. It's also a link. Click on the price and you get a delayed time and sales, by transaction, whether it was a Buy or Sell, and running totals for Buy/Sell.
You'll also see some very interesting trends. For instance, according to the site, the Buys have outnumbered the Sells several times over the last few days, yet the price is dropping. Hmmmmm...

Those concerned with the Patent issues might take notice of one of Genomed's recently allowed patents, "METHOD TO TREAT PULMONARY HYPOPLASIA IN THE NEWBORN". This patent received a "Final Rejection" on January 12, 2005. Upon amendment and reconsideration Genomed received notice of allowance on May 3, 2005:

ice...I have always respected your opinions but must say this one appears off base. The BOD hasn't officially received authorization to consider an R/S, let alone execute an acquisition based on post split shares.
Besides, as Elmer has pointed out, using post split as the basis makes even less sense.
Do consider that the newspaper is already reporting that the value of the deal was $257,000. If Trace accepted an option at $0.02, they must feel there is reason to expect that the S/P will again see that level or higher. Of course, by the time it reaches $0.02, the original sale will be worth closer to $500,000, and so on and so forth...$250,000 for every penny rise in S/P.
Perhaps the folks at Trace, like many long shareholders, threw their lot in with DNAPrint with a view to the future value. In that sense, it could be either the smartest...or the dumbest...thing they've ever done...lol

DorseyE, WOW. That is probably the most interesting PR I have ever seen from DNAP. (I'm not kidding.)
Did anybody else notice a fairly significant omission from the text?
That is probably the first time I have ever seen a PR that did not contain it.

I gave you several examples that would refute the bolded statement. Actually the examples go back for more than a year.
Bottom line is that there have been MANY PR's that don't contain a quote from Frudakis. Your argument is baseless and rediculous. And as for your attempt to redirect the conversation with this:

worktoplay, I agree.
Something has changed dramatically in the face the company presents to the public. As you have correctly pointed out, the change did not happen with this most recent PR, but had happened some months ago.
What do you think is the reason for pushing the company's founder into the background?
He used to be the spokesman for the scientific advances of the company, in essence it's technological voice. Now he seems to have faded into the background and the lesser lights (Gaskin and Shriver) are providing the technical voice, backing up Gabriel.
The company's public face seems to have undergone change. What is your interpretation of the strategy behind it?
regards,
frog

So like I said before...get a grip...there's a lot going on down there, or didn't you see the pipeline page on the website.

frog...And if what you are asserting were true, I might agree. I have already pointed out the recent Forensics related PR's. Three other company announcements from DNAPrint this month featured comments directly from Dr. Frudakis:
http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/050519/flth014.html?.v=10
http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/050513/flf003.html?.v=10
http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/050503/fltu015.html?.v=7
The only other PR this month was the Mammoth Lakes PR, again Forensics related, wherein ONLY Gabriel is quoted:
http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/050511/flw026.html?.v=5
Bottom line...get a grip...the guy's pretty busy right now and your argument is pretty weak.
Later,
W2P
frog...The common element in those PR's is Forensics. Given that Gaskin is in charge of Forensics, and given the recent expansion of Pharma related projects, I tend to side with whoever on this board suggested that it is likely due to division of responsibility.
As regards the fact that the work mentioned in yesterday's PR is being carried out by Penn State, that would be advantageous to the company as regards the Orchid/Beckman Option (or whoever owns it) - at least for the next two years.
The Option makes a distinction based on who provides the majority of financial support for collaborative efforts.

ExtremeSport...Excellent. Seems that someone at the company is getting more creative with their marketing efforts. Introduce the technology to area mystery writers.
Perhaps one day DNAWitness will be the key evidence used to solve the case in a murder mystery novel, or even in an episode of CSI, America's Most Wanted, or some such television drama.
Of course this is JMHO, but looks like a creative effort on someone's part to introduce our technology to another audience.

Brothers...From my admittedly limited research into EPO, there seems to be a number of serious side effects. I suspect that a "Super" EPO may be more prone to adverse events, since several of the side effects associated with commercially available EPO appear to be dose related.
In short, DNAPrint's ability to identify genetic markers predictive of response and predictive of adverse events may be the only way to get that drug to market, thus, the primary reason this drug was made available to them.
Secondarily, however, their work in this area may pay dividends even if their own EPO-EPO drug never reaches the market. Given the side effects associated with existing EPO drugs, there would seem to be a compelling need for a good classifier in the existing EPO market, which itself is $10 Billion and growing.
Of course, this is JMHO.

Chris-----goooooooooooooooooo bucky!!!!!!!!!!!
uncxman...The "Quiet Period" refers to the period following the filing of a Registration Statement. DNAPrint filed the registration statement in connection with the Dutchess funding. Officially, it was the S2 filed back in October 2004 in regards to the public offering of DNAPrint shares to complete that deal.
The SEC doesn't approve or disapprove the filing perse. When their review is complete, they will declare the registration "effective".
A quiet period lasts at least 20 days following the initial filing or until it is declared effective. DNAPrint has filed two amended statements (Forms S2/A), so it is difficult to say when the quiet period will end. All we know for certain at this point is that the registration is not yet effective.
You've seen the form 4's and form 5's, and now the 13G's filed. Just yesterday there was a form 4/A (amended form 4). Those are undoubtedly due to questions coming back from the SEC.
In essence, they are cleaning up old questions regarding the disposition of Frudakis' shares, Vicki Cook's shares, etc. Those additional filings are all resulting from the SEC review of the registration statement.
So the short answer is that the Quiet Period will end when the registration is declared effective. And it will be declared effective when the SEC is satisfied that all the I's have been dotted and T's crossed.
Hope this helps.

Mykel...I don't think they're picking on you. Many here know the difference between coding and non-coding (used to be referred to as junk) DNA.
The point bag8ger was making was that the principals at Genetic Technologies had the foresight to file a patent on all of the non-coding DNA about 10 years or so ago. Science is now discovering that that "junk" has use and/or purpose (even if that purpose is not to code for proteins). Many of the large players that had gone on their merry way are now having to pay the piper in the form of licenses with Genetic Technologies for infringing on their patents.
The folks here are just trying to suggest that DNAPrint may one day find itself in the position of Genetic Technologies, i.e. owning patents that the big boys will have to respect or pay for.
BTW, thanks for your insights. We all appreciate your contributions.
Of course, as always, this is my MOST humble opinion.

Henny Penny...I see that easybake dug up a colleague from the Phantom Fiber board (or from his archive of alias'). It is admirable of you to come to her rescue, but rather than clarify you seem to be adding to the misinformation that easy has been "baking" up. For instance you said:
In this particular case it was most likely written and distributed to the local press and then the PR was followed up with a pitch. This could have happened before or after the "event."
Now, truth be told, you have no idea WHAT article you're talking about, nor what PR she (easybake) is talking about. Being as this is your first post on this board, I suppose I could cut you some slack. However, because you apparently came here to continue "baking", I'll have to ask you to reevaluate your position. Consider this a test of your honesty and sincerity. And I'll even provide the article so you can further evaluate your position:
http://64.233.167.104/search?q=cache:YgTvAplDsMcJ:www.bradenton.com/mld/bradentonherald/2005/01/23/n....
Now, my challenge to you is to take an unbiased read of this article and tell the board whether you still believe it was "In this particular case it was most likely written and distributed to the local press and then the PR was followed up with a pitch."
Thanks darling...

Have you ever heard of Thermo Tech (TTRIF)? They had technology that turned garbage into gold, or something like that.
Or something like that...are you for REAL???? LOL Would KNOBIAS be wrong??? LOL Wow, I can see that you are one hell of an analyst.
You want to see what DNAPrint has?
http://www.moffitt.usf.edu/about_moffitt/press/press_releases/2004/20040329a.asp
And because I would bet my right arm that you weren't aware of this (or don't understand it if you were aware), Moffitt Cancer Center is the number three cancer research center in the country. Their Associate Center Director for Clinical Investigations thinks that DNAPrint's technology can profoundly impact cancer treatment.
Do you have even the slightest clue as to the commercial value of their technology? Obviously not...
In 2001, the National Cancer Institute awarded Moffitt the status of a Comprehensive Cancer Center in recognition of its excellence in research and contributions to clinical trials, prevention and cancer control. Additionally, Moffitt is a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, a prestigious alliance of the country's leading cancer centers, and is listed in the U.S. News & World Report as one of the top cancer hospitals in America. Moffitt’s sole mission is to contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer.
Yep, and I heard they're going to add the following text to this about Moffitt statement:
Moffitt is the leading partner to scam OTCBB companies throughout the US. Being government funded, Moffitt believes that the best way, and only way to do business is to pizz money away on boondoggles. Worried that your project lacks merit? Don't, because Moffitt believes it is it's mission to kill it's patients and waste your money.
Oh, and this is Moffitt's PR, not the company's. THAT, frankly, is good enough for me. All it takes is patience, girlfriend, and patience I've got.
