Amateur hour almost over
Most brokerage accounts show you level 2 trades. I have td ameritrade and they have it in their trade architect piece, fidelity has it in their think and swim piece.
Agreed,
This is about to blow the top off again. Players have been taking this down with small volume plays. Smoke and mirrors.
Can't speak for anyone else, but since I took such a large chunk off, I would sell a piece to put back into PPHM. I still think we will start to rise dramatically, or anything could happen. Just wouldn't want to miss it after holding and suffering for over 10 years!!
Besides, I couldn't imagine all the friends, clients and family I have told over the years to call me and say wow you must have made a boatload and me having to state I actually sold off before it went ballistic, lol!!!
Wow,
Pleasantly surprised PPHM holding its own today, considering I know of at least 6 people who took some pretty good positions off the table to buy some AVXL, which is up again today almost 1.50.
There will be a lot of gunpowder available for PPHM in about 10 days should the AVXL announcement on 11/07 be as good as advertised.
I know sad isn't it. Small CEO gets the word out, if the news on the 7th is as good as everyone expects it blows up, if not then I see a nice retrace, but you don't do a 4-1 split and uplist two weeks before your announcement to present bad news, at least I wouldn't think so.
I think what is sadder is how much money us longs have lost over the years waiting for PPHM to finally hit, so many just 3 more months, next shareholder meeting, ASCO is the one. Many of us have had way too much riding and waiting. Of course if we weren't greedy would have taken a nice piece off the table in 2012, but spilt milk now.
My heart still believes PPHM is the golden goose, but nice to finally make some decent money somewhere else, beats waiting, but wouldn't want to be out too long, one thing we can count on with PPHM is that it will surprise you one way or the other.
I would like to be back to close to my 300K holdings of PPHM, instead of 50K now, before full enrollment is announced.
This stock kills me, I took a large chunk off the table a while back and put it all into AVXL/ AVXLD right before it did a 4-1 split, its up almost 80% with potential news release on 11/07 and nasdaq up listing tomorrow. I figured I would make a nice profit and then put her back here. SO this morning I sell a tenth of my position at 9.00 today, enough to pick up 10,000 shares at 1.08, and start to ease my way back in, hence the drop. At least the rest is riding high at 9.48 now. November 7th could be huge day for AVXL with results to be reported.
Question is how much to cash out and put back here, and is it a good time, or do we continue to languish. With AVID II opening news and full enrollment happening in less than 60 days, can't see this remaining like this.
EDIT AVXLD 9.62, HOD , looks like she may blow past 10
We did not get 20 million, we got 600,000, and I am not even sure if they paid the attorney costs as well. I believe they didn't , and I would imagine that attorney costs were most likely greater than that.
Sad but true. I am sure there are shareholders that lost more than 600,000 on that September day. I know at least my account went down more than that dreadful day.
Have to let it go or it will eat you up. Come on full enrollment!! Come on Avid up and running!!
I thought they only had 20 minutes each to talk.
Lets get over .40 first, lol. Did we convince Larry to be on the phone call today, how about yourself. Either way thanks for your all of your efforts and everyone else that has contributed. Tax season over here as of midnight last night and I am not far from Manchester, so if there is another court date I should be able to go.
They don't need to say anything except thanks for 175 million shares, suckers, some things change, but obviously some remain the same.
Option for everyone.
Picked me up another 30K at .39, still kicking myself for selling a bunch in the mid twenties
Yes,
Just have to get through the noon time knock down, fireworks should be after lunch. .50's by end of day a very strong possibility.
lol, love it
Any update on this chart today would be appreciated, is .41 a resistance level?
Looks like this is ready to blow, like the volume as well, should be an interesting day.
Reading for second push, looks like .40's coming soon
I am sure Wall Street will really embrace the 175 million shares if that is passed. Sad to say, but this looks like it will be dropping a bit more. Scary part is, I sold out of almost half my position and reinvested a pretty good chunk in AVXL hoping to make some quick money and put it back into PPHM, but even at these levels somewhat nervous especially with the 175 million share issue.
If there are outside parties suppressing the stock price to generate fear, well than congrats to them, because this is scary and makes you doubt what the hell is going on.
The science should be a slam dunk in my book based upon what I see and what has been provided by many more intelligent people than I am here, but I am not sure management has played there cards right. At least on how it is affecting the share price in the short term. I believed as well as many others that once the phase III was initiated and the farther it went and the closer we come to full enrollment that the share price would increase substantially. Something doesn't smell right to me. Looking for a reentry point, have no clue at this time though.
GLTA tomorrow, maybe we get a bone, hopefully not boned.
What court, manchester or boston
Might want to fix the link on the video clay
So if short interest is up, and assuming that the judge grants an EC, which I would imagine would send the share price well North, when do the shorts have to cover and would they risk waiting
Oops,
my apologies, I think I was suppose to do that, got tied up with last week of tax season.
Bio,
I do agree that having 100% of our IP unencumbered is huge and we should applaud management for that. I hope you are right about the rest, since it would be nice to tell Big Pharma to stick it.
In regards to this divisive issue of whether or not to vote for the approval of 175 million more shares. Remember one thing if the board is truly watching out for us ( they would be a true long more than anyone else), the fact of the matter is that even the board of directors does not agree 100% about this.
I agree it is a difficult decision either way, but I also agree that if we were informed by management of why these shares were needed ( I know they told us to continue operations, but of course they don't need 175 million on top of the 50 they already have available ) then maybe we could actually make an informed decision. As usual here shareholders out in the dark.
Of course: you are absolutely correct.
To hear people say that voting no to #1 is sending a message is comical at best. Yes that's it, I am sure we might hurt someone on the boards feelings, might really cause them to put forth that extra effort so shareholders feel better, lol. Maybe I can see them running home to their wives and sobbing about the fact that a majority of the shareholders voted no on them.
Maybe if every single vote, voted no that might send a message, but guess again, then they can vote for themselves and guess what only need 1 vote to remain on the board ( 1 vote are you kidding me).
Boy the board will be really scared if we send them a message regarding number 1.
Did I mention comical: And by the way I am a long, a very long long. I am a long who has never shorted this stock either, which I can't say for some of our most prestigious longs. However, I will admit I have been selling since about 1.40 and have reduced my position at least in half. And I still have a pretty decent position.
The problem is that some of the BOD's actually get paid in excess of what they are worth and we can do nothing about it by sending a message by voting no on #1.
Laughing is correct, all the way to the bank.
Everyone go ahead, send that message by voting no one #1, see how far that gets us, lol, lol, lol.
Sorry for the venting, but are you kidding me. I can only speak for myself, but I am disgruntled because I feel that as a shareholder I actually own part of this company, should be entitled to explanations of what our management is doing and why and lastly have the ability to have some say 9based upon my direct vote) on who makes the decisions about my money or equity ownership in my company: by the way here is a definition in case anyone needs to know
"One who owns shares of stock in a corporation or mutual fund. For corporations, along with the ownership comes a right declared to vote on certain company matters, including the board of directors. also called stockholder:"
The fact that our BOD retains their seat by 1 vote is a joke in my eyes, but hey maybe I am wrong. Maybe that is the norm in the most well respected Biotech companies.
Best of luck to all of us, in spite of my feelings about some of the board, I still believe we have the golden goose, question is 1)how long will it take to lay the golden eggs, and 2) has this board of directors caused some of the delay, which in turns currently affects my financial position. Recently from 1.40 to 1.00 as the immunotherapy world has exploded and while moving us to a fully enrolled phase III still baffled me.
Eb,
In your honest opinion,
1) do you think having a Robert Garnick on the board of directors or someone who has been battle tested in the biotech field would add any more value to the stock price,
thanks in advance
Agreed, putting that statement of the 125k is a joke and insult to the shareholders. No for me as well.
Agreed, he may the only one in the know in regards to how he is going to answer, but the point was didn't anyone there have an indication of tone, pointed questions or how the overall hearing went. I would think we would get at least a little feedback from someone.
I had not ordered a CD, on the road, but when I get back to the office, I will if no one else has.
Hmmm,
Maybe there is people in the know, that know something they don't want us to know yet? Don't like the fact we haven't heard a peep when all the other times they were in court we had updates within hours.
Have I mentioned scary quiet you guys are making me nervous, lol
With all the contact we have with the ad hoc committee I can't believe that nobody hasn't heard anything that blows me away
Shouldn't we be hearing something out f the meeting today shortly. We must have some eyes and ears in there somewhere.
Fingers crossed
Wow,
Down only 37%, there are a lot of longs down a lot more than that. You would think most everyone would understand the frustration.
Bottom line is "if what we believe is the truth we will make a bundle, and I mean a huge bundle", if we are wrong we are screwed anyways, but keep this in mind and this should be the saving grace, if Bavi or Sunrise flops tomorrow, there is still a value in AVID on it's own.
Of course that may change with the 175 million of new shares, lol.
Me, " I WILL BE A HERO OR A GOAT"
GL, patience at this point and at this price is tough, I understand it's mind boggling, but in the end we cool.
BKT
May be my first, but I will take the 30K I just made in the last 60-90 days any day. And I hope that is just the tip of the iceberg.
Thought I would see a little bit more action this last hour, looks like the lines have been drawn, should be an interesting day tomorrow. This could go either way. Maybe some panicking going on here.
Bankruptcy stocks definitely not for the faint of heart. This is my first and got to tell you, feels like a roller coaster ride.
Amazing isn't it, blow away results , but no separation. Did anyone ever get to the bottom of that, I am sure some one was off and running with it.
All kidding aside, I still can't believe some Federal agency hasn't figured out what is going on with this. I mean shit I don't work for the FBI, but I sure as hell can.
I still wonder about that Big Pharma Consortium that was formed right around the the time the Phase II was cooking, I have asked a couple of times here if anyone had any more info on that, but still nothing.
Amazing how quickly the Immunotherapy world picked up and all of a sudden the whole Chemo thing changes in the world of Cancer right after the sabotage. Maybe I am delusional, just a coincidence.
GLTA, have a great weekend.
Maybe that 1.12 number that keeps popping up. Would be a nice start. Volume still anemic,
Why would you need clout if you have cash greater than what someone else is offering. It wouldn't be about what reputable company gets the IP, its about the company getting the most they can in the actual bankruptcy case.
All I am saying is if for some reason the judge doesn't allow the delay in the sale, and God forbid he doesn't allow the appointment of an equity committee, than I would rather grab the IP for pennies on the dollar and turn a profit.
Besides it may delay the actual sale if there is another bid on the table, if those worse case scenes happen.
Agreed, don't want that to happen, but it backs up your point of contention is that someone has to put a value on this before they can sell it off.
And I'd tell you one thing I would put some money and risk it rather than these sleazeballs getting away with the technology piece. Looks like we would be getting it for pennies on the dollar.
Wouldn't take that many people
75 @ 20,000 a pop. Maybe even less than that each at 1.33 ownership. I bet we could sell it back to GTATQ or Apple at some point. But the point is why wouldn't someone else want to pay more for that piece if they had the opportunity.
Just thinking outside the box
