The Industry Outlook Is Promising
Two tailwinds are driving the CBD industry forward.
First, the many use cases of cannabidiol are taking the industry mainstream.
Data from CBI Insights reveal that CBD products are used in the following business sectors.
Health and wellness
Food and beverages
Cosmetics
Haircare
Sports
Pet industry
The wide variety of use cases available for cannabidiol will help the industry grow as consumer awareness grows toward these products
Difference between Green Lotus and the big companies IMO is that GRLB is taking pay cuts and trimming expenses while the bigger companies are giving themselves more access to shares to sell.. ugh !! Who you wit ?

2020 and beyond
Looking to the future, AI is clearly going to continue to transform business in significant ways. Currently, almost all applications of AI are based on so-called narrow intelligence. That means they rely on machine learning techniques that solve a very specific problem. The next big step is deep learning, where a Computer seeks to mimic human-like intelligence using massive deep neural networks. Much research is being done on specialized computer chips that are optimized for this sort of learning.
// Google DeepMind is leading the pack here, but you can expect to see deep learning becoming far more prevalent over the coming years. //

$LWLG Lightwave Logic to Present at AIM Photonics Spring Meeting
Chief Executive Officer Dr. Michael Lebby to Discuss the Rapid Progress in Electro-Optic (EO) Polymer Materials
ENGLEWOOD, Colo., June 8, 2020 -- Lightwave Logic, Inc. (OTCQB: LWLG), a technology platform company leveraging its proprietary electro-optic polymers to transmit data at higher speeds with less power, today announced that its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Michael Lebby, will lead a presentation at the 2020 Integrated Photonics System Roadmap as part of the AIM Photonics Spring Meeting, which will take place virtually on June 8-9, 2020.
The presentation will review the continued rapid progress in the development of electro-optic (EO) polymer materials, which is now being accelerated by the application of computational chemistry. In his talk, Dr. Lebby will provide anticipated industry roadmap trends for both active, as well as passive, optical polymers.
The roadmap to be discussed covers the entire integrated photonic supply chain outlook and critical issues for the next 20 years. Polymers are one of multiple technologies, all of which are reviewed in the context of datacom/telecom, internet of things, automotive, aerospace, bio/medical, sensors and radio frequency (RF) photonics applications.
Lightwave Logic recently announced a new material that extends EO polymer’s fiber optic application space from the high-performance telecommunications 1550 nm wavelength window now to include high-volume datacom 1310 nm wavelength market segment.
"As engineered materials, EO polymers are not only inherently faster and easier to drive, but their properties can be tuned for different applications, and with the increased window that now includes 1310nm, the opportunities for active polymers will increase substantially,” said Dr. Lebby. “When you look at a long-term roadmap like the IPSR that not only addresses active polymers, but passive polymer optical waveguides as well, you can really see the huge potential for polymer photonics integration and advanced co-packaging solutions."
About Lightwave Logic, Inc.

$LWLG Summary by Herman Sleegers (first impression) computer-translated
- In my opinion it was important that all important key persons of the board were present, including Joe Miller and Fred Leonberger.
- CEO Dr Michael Lebby responded to the shareholders' request to explain the business plan in more detail and to make it a less technical meeting.
- It is important that Lightwave Logic is in the commercialisation cycle and we are currently in the testing and evaluation phase, a phase that was not yet the case in the previous SHM.
- Several NDA's were signed with parties interested in polymers from different angles, from equipment suppliers to end-users.
- The Lightwave Logic solution achieves top scores in all compartments, especially with the new polymer announced in February, the reliability was further increased.
- Potential customers are interested, but want confirmation via data, especially with regard to reliability and durability.
- Previous experiences with polymers encourage caution and no company wants drastic changes without certainty about reliability and durability, this seems logical to me.
- Lightwave Logic carries out these tests over a period of 2000 and 5000 hours with different modulators and probably with the new material.
- This takes some time but Michael Lebby doesn't see any further obstacles
- Lightwave Logic now has all the possibilities to perform these tests, even at a capacity higher than 50GB.
- The development of a more than 100GB device is in full swing but this is a very complex operation.
- Lightwave Logic has its production facility ready and no further costs need to be incurred.
- The wafer facilities have been benchmarked and are certainly as efficient as others in the industry.
- The decision whether production will take place under own management or through contractual partners will depend on the demand of potential customers.
- Within the company there is a planning for income generation, but this cannot be communicated externally.
- Michael Lebby is in regular contact with potential customers, and incidentally mentioned that he recently had an interview with facebook without the intention that this would have further impact of course.
- Michael Lebby was also very pleased with the industry's recognition through the award for best PIC platform, mainly due to likely imperfections in the solution of key competitors such as Intel, Broadcom.
- All in all a positive meeting where no pain points emerged only the acceptance process that takes a considerable time
- Hopefully long term shareholders whose patience has been tested for a very long time will have the courage to sit through this process, and hopefully they will be richly rewarded for their patience.

The spider diagrams are really interesting and a good way of comparing our polymer technology with other technologies.
We are super-fast and use very low voltage, using a slot-modulator tackles the size issue, and the new materials are as robust as the other technologies...
OK, we need to show the reliability testing for the 2000 and 5000 hours before we will be signing deals, but who would not want the LWLG components to be part of their devices if we tick all the boxes (speed, voltage, size and reliability). Now we clearly see why we were said to be in the forefront.
Selling now would really be stupid IMO, we don't know how far we are in the testing process, and we know the 100 GB is under development, and we don't know when this will be ready. But I wouldn't want to sell now with all that coming, probably before year-end. (copy) MesiBelgium

(Industry Related) Topic of Heat/Cooling - (copy) Okiedo .. one fundamental aspect of the POE* OI platform is the ability to connect devices with minimal loss (coupling efficiency). This reduces the energy required to produce and move light and minimizes the heat generated. That is a very big deal and was something that VR emphasised. The heat that is generated by the operation of active devices (the laser) is reduced because the power required to transfer that light into the passive elements (in this case Rockley’s big silicon waveguides) is reduced while at the same time isolating the heat signature of that laser away from the silicon. As we will recall POE* has a laser design that efficiently couples into silicon to expand their market into the silicon photonics industry."

$LWLG Good points RL, - Knowing what Michael Lebby struggled through from 2016 to 2019, it’s crazy seeing the entire industry add polymers to every photonics technology discussion. The Integrated Photonics Systems Roadmap online summit June 8 & 9 has polymers listed for discussion on the front page. Link below.
The struggle was real trying to get anyone to even acknowledge polymers in 2015 and earlier. He said he’d get polymers on the map and he did. This should be a great indication of Lebby’s believability. Now he is saying the next steps pertaining to commercialization and sales “will come”. I believe him.

"Finally, we'd like to provide our shareholders an update regarding the timing of our SEC filings. While the filing of our transition report for the period ending December 31, 2019, and our quarterly report for the quarter ending March 31, 2020, were delayed due to the pandemic, we are diligently working on them and making better progress now that staffing issues are being resolved as a result of the lessening pandemic lockdown measures. We received letters from our auditor regarding their staffing issues as a result of the pandemic, and the additional time they needed to complete their review and audit procedures relating to our filings. We have filed 8-K's regarding the pandemic delays with the SEC, and the extension of time needed to file our reports, and we anticipate filing the reports in the middle of June."
