forza, re: KUTV - thanks. Seemed like a no-brainer to me despite my Chinese stock aversion.
KUTV - heavy volume in first half hour. Getting discovered as YOKU/video social media. Not profitable, but should be a good trade.
Glen, so how are you playing your new sentiment...what are you selling/shorting?
Bob, re: KUTV social video:
It's a little tough to understand, but it really appears like KUTV is expanding their presence in the Chinese Social Media arena, with a focus on video, per this story:
http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=zh-CN&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.donews.com%2Foriginal%2F201104%2F416901.shtm
Of course Weibo and RenRen are the talk of the town, but look at what's happening to the mobile social networking of MOBI (man, I sold that one early).
KUTV is likely to take some patience, but so did MOBI.
KUTV - With YOKU going nuts, one has to wonder if KUTV will participate. That, and the fact that SNDA made a large $100M investment in KUTV.
Long fairly large for a swing.
EGTK - $100M nat gas distro agreement; news today
Not much motion on the stock despite strong volume. I'm not sure how legitimate the news can be, but it might be worth radaring for a trade.
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Energtek-Signs-10Year-Sales-prnews-2368279498.html?x=0&.v=3
NEW YORK, April 11, 2011 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Energtek Inc. (Other OTC:EGTK.PK, Pink Sheets: EGTK ), a leader in hi-tech natural gas solutions and Adsorbed Natural Gas (ANG) technology, announced today that the company signed a multi-million dollar contract, with expected accumulated revenues near $100MM over the ten-year contract period, to sell natural gas to one of the largest commercial entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The agreement was signed with Aluminij d.d. Mostar, owned by Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and widely considered to be one of the country's most influential companies.
Aluminij is among the largest aluminum producers in Europe, with multinational clients that include Daimler-Chrysler (Germany, US), Fiat (Italy), Venture Coke Company L.L.C. (Venco-Conoco joint Venture) from the US), Glencore International AG (Switzerland), and Hydro ASA (Norway).
The ongoing supply and delivery of natural gas utilizing Energtek's mobile-pipeline systems is expected to commence during Q4 2011. Revenues generated from the sales of natural gas are expected to total approximately $10MM per year.
The sales contract follows a recently reported agreement between Energtek and BH Gas d.o.o., the government-controlled sole natural gas transmission provider, which allows Energtek to purchase natural gas from the nation's pipeline grid and deliver it to clients.
Energtek is currently working to establish a local subsidiary to implement the business activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with local partners. Energtek will retain majority control of the subsidiary.
"The agreement with Aluminij significantly reinforces Energtek's presence as the first and major mobile supplier of natural gas in the country. This major revenue generating contract is the result of ongoing business development activities and strategic agreements carried out in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the past year," said Lev Zaidenberg, CEO of Energtek. "We plan to leverage the technological and commercial competitive advantages that we managed to build in order to acquire additional customers in the country and across the region."
OT: glen, post your question over here and i bet you'll get more discussion:

You're definitely doing the right thing, taking some profits. Nice work.
It's moving up in an orderly fashion, but i'm hoping for a more parabolic move soon.
SDRG's corporate summary on their website still mentions Mexico, so hopefully they're still active there.
whoops - meant 5 tonnes instead of 5000 tonnes in my previous post.
charts are fine and all, but it's really hard to underestimate what it means to a mining company to go into production.
i mean, the PR says 5000 tonnes of silver. i have a feeling that they meant to say "ore" instead of silver, but even still, i'm impressed. need to do more verification over the weekend, but next week is going to see a ton of volume i suspect.
I'm not aware of any $17M mkt cap silver PRODUCERS. If someone knows of any, please let me know so I can buy that one too.
one word...PRODUCTION
I guess that there are some shenanigans going on behind the scenes, with the lawsuits etc., but the production news is pretty incredible considering the share price. If the share price really cranks, I wouldn't be surprised if the problems start to go by the wayside
They're not saying FU to us. We're saying FU to them and they're cowering in the corner like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar. They've bilked us for billions and will probably seek a listing elsewhere and do it again. No sympathy here for companies choosing to take their fraud private.
YONG defense; YOKU hitpiece
CAST - edit: thought new hitpiece, but there is only one from 3/17
CAAS to restate - maybe not a complete fraud after all
FUQI getting creamed a/h after delaying 10K
CADC - i'm short this one for two reasons: 1) Frazer Frost client, and 2) they're involved with heavy construction such as nuke reactors, which have now been shelved by China gov't:
The types of projects that it provides concrete for include: large express railways, bridges, tunnels, skyscrapers, dams, and nuclear reactor infrastructure projects.

nsom, i'm currently short CADC and OINK. Covered my LPH, NEWN, and ZSTN. The link that Paty provided is a good one for Fraser Frost clients. I couldn't find shorts available on a few of them though.
I think the safest play, even at these levels, is to short the frazer frost clients
burp, re: LPH - the malaria is spreading fast; sell now ask questions later!
DEER - yeah it's popping a bit on the hitpiece!

GPL - question to the board.
Not a mining expert here obviously, but when a mining co. issues news like today's, where they greatly increase their reserve estimates, what kind of inferences and conclusions should we have?
Trying to figure out how good today's news really is...tia.

CHNG, others - wonder if this new China plan will have a lasting bullish impact on China nat gas/CNG plays like CHNG.
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/05/business/energy-environment/05energy.html?ref=business
An important feature of the five-year plan is its call to double the share of natural gas in Chinese energy consumption, to 8 percent in 2015 from 4 percent last year, according to Fatih Birol, the chief economist of the multilateral International Energy Agency in Paris. This will make China a natural buyer of large quantities of Russian gas, making it a competitor to Europe, which already relies heavily on gas from Russia.
NFEC - $6m mixed securities; ss some
ESTE - looks like it got found today. Anybody else have any good value oils that haven't ramped?
ESTE - our old friend BSIC.OB is starting to participate in the ol' junior oil rush. At least ESTE is producing and profitable!
CHME lol-even Frazer Frost has standards
China Medicine Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: CHME) (the "Company"), a leading manufacturer, developer and distributor of Western pharmaceuticals, traditional Chinese medicines ("TCM"), and other health products in the People's Republic of China , today announced that it has been advised by Frazer Frost, LLP ("Frazer Frost") that after completion of the current audit for the year ended December 31, 2010 , Frazer Frost will decline to stand for re-appointment as the Company's independent registered public accounting firm for the Company's audit and for the quarterly reviews of the Company for the year ended December 31, 2011 . The decision of Frazer Frost was made on its own initiative without the prior knowledge or participation of the Company.
NEWN trading lately as if there's a negative piece coming out. Don't know anything, but just watching the tape
yeah rato, they also had an offering recently at a price higher than today, but the news is undeniably good...but if the stock is constrained by perception, then it's upside is somewhat limited.
KGJI - thanks to the folks that took the time to PM me on some risks on KGJI. I will temper my enthusiasm, but am still inclined to play the news for a hold, just with a smaller position than I had originally intended.
good teamwork guys.
KGJI - loading up on this for a hold; quite a unique way to play China gold demand.
