Once again.... Happy New Year!!!!!
JR
(i only get a few posts a day, I got to make the most of them)
Just trying to support the local boys ha ha ha.
The whole thing still amuses and amazes me but it sure seems to make sense. I can't even balance my check book but I will try to use the 1.6..... in my beer ratio tonight.
JR
Just wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year before I get out on the town.
So there you go.
Happy New Year!
JR
HAPPY NEW YEAR to anyone else who might be reading this board. Here's to a better year next year for the poor old Fish.
JR
Well I don't even know who to root for out of what left ha ha ha.
I guess I will cheer on the Jets.
JR
HAPPY NEW YEAR to All you Ranting people!
JR
Also, while I'm talking at you. Could you update the information in the Ibox at the top of this board to reflect new contact information and links? Get to it, ha ha ha.
JR
I can't reply to your PM's, but I left a message on your cell phone about an hour ago.
JR
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm already in the juice too. Let's make some money in 2003!
JR
Happy New Year to all you patrons here at the corner bar!
JR
Well based upon how many unsatisfied shareholders there must be, everyone should get a shirt, lol.
It will all boil down to contracts I suppose, but patience is sure a terrible thing to try to muster up when the price keeps slipping slowly down.
JR
In the December 5th press release they mention that they had taken delivery of 7 of 20 new trucks and that "All of the trucks are being bought under the Veltex Corporation name with an initial payment of $135,000 and the remainder financed through Daimler Chrysler Finance."
Then on Dec 10th they mention:
TRUCK ACQUISITION REVIEW
-- Recently added 20 trucks for a total of 66
-- Expects to purchase up to 95 more by year end
-- Plans to purchase another 100 during Q1, 2003
That indicates that they intend to acquire another 195 trucks, which based upon previous financial requirements would call for approximately 10 times the downpayment utilized in the most recent purchase. Approximately $1.3 million dollars.
Based upon the most recent figure provided by Javeed Matin, they had about half a million in cash in the bank, plus they had raised some more cash by issuing some more shares. (estimate 10 million shares X an average price of 4 cents = $400,000) Giving VLVT a new total of just under 1 million dollars cash to use towards purchasing more trucks.
Now assuming that all previous truck acquisitions have resulted in positive income flow, the projection of being able to afford to purchase the additional 195 trucks within the next quarter seems right on target as a growth strategy.
That's just my take on the numbers.
JR
WOW what a nothing day
100 shares @ 10.5 cents?????
Here's the only ones who are in the running to win the contest posted at the top of the thread:
gggrryhound - .08
fiji8888 - .11
Stamper - .12
How come these guys can't generate some upward momentum when they have such an interesting and high potential product.
All the best in 2003
Sounds like the screenplay for a cheap Greek porno flick. LOL
Geez, I didn't know that my rant would incite such passion. LOL.
JR
Still a decent day of trading. A few small ones at the bid, most others at the ask. Nice and stable at 5 cents will be fine until those numbers get the stamp of approval and credibility.
still quite?
Still quite a good deal?
Still quite time to buy more shares before they get another 50 trucks on the road?
Your going to have to explain yourself better. I can't understand your jargon.
JR
Hmmm, i will have to cash in more than a few beer cans to afford the lifetime membership. Perhaps after new years eve, lol.
Are those CD's available from the IR or from VLVT directly?
JR
Oh, i'm just getting warmed up.
First the sub sandwich thing, now the boards. I'm really starting to stir things up.
JR
Nice board catfish. RMEC moving up a bit today even with a late notice filed. Perhaps 2003 will see a gusher for rmec shareholders.
JR
My dollar is crap. I was going to spend March someplace warm, but now I will have to work extra hard just to afford the margaritas, lol.
Yup, I'm going to upgrade to one of the premium memberships. Any suggestions or experience on which one is better, or are they all equal except for price?
I just sent this to the admin here at ihub because it frustrates me that I can't post on some boards but I am still allowed to read them.
--->I have a suggesstion I wanted to post on the boards and the very fact that I was unable to find a board I was allowed to post it to reinforced my point.
How come free members like myself are allowed to view all borads and not post to them? Would it not make more sense to completely hide those boards from them so they are encouraged to upgrade?
Also, on that same note, there is no way for me to distinguish which boards I am allowed to post to until I click on "post a new msg" and am told I am unable. So I click on "HOT" boards and look at the list, but all boards (free and restricted) appear the same to me. Could you maybe make some sort of change on that menu so that they appear different to viewers. For example make the FREE boards a different color font or place a small gif icon before the board name etc.
As much as I like yakking I am going to have to upgrade just so I can post on the BOXING board, ha ha ha.
JR
meadvertisingyou@canada.com
What is the truck count up to now? Does anyone have a figure that is recent?
Great links, I will make a couple of those calls right now myself as I hope everyone else will.
JR
Hey trkyhntr
I'm about 6 hours south of Edmonton, close to the Montana border actually.
JR
Thanks for the welcome colt. I have ecclectic interests myself and since it doens't look like that superbowl wager I placed months ago on the Dolphins is going to payoff, I guess I have to trade a few stocks, lol.
VTSI sure looks like it has potential to move up if they ever secure any contracts. From my quick read of the history it appears that many have been waiting a very long time for something to materialize. That is substantiated by how many were a little bit optimistic in their contest predictions, only the lowest 3 or 4 guys are even going to be close it seems.
Any whisper of news could sure turn that around, but it doesn't look like it is going to happen before your contest ends.
Best of luck.
JR
How can we get this board moved over so that from the main menu it is under ihub lounge- sports?
I had trouble finding it and was suprised to see no NFL board in the main menu?
JR

JR
GMXX board over at ragingbull is no longer readable. It has been taken over in a war of idiots. Too bad, makes it a bit more work to find info quickly. Certainly does not help investors long or short.
JR
Raging bull sucks and is on its last legs. They have tech problems on a weekly basis and only a skeleton of staff remaining. The boards are over run with posters who's only purpoe for being there is to disrupt the flow of communication so that no meaningful dialogue can take place.
Investors are leaving and not posting anymore. A great time for these guys to take advantage and step up and steal the quality members.
JR
I swear, it was a lot of work and it cost me almost 8 dollars. I can't believe how popular those places are, they are on every second corner and they all seem to make a go of it, yet McD lost money, lol.
JR
okay that post was much longer and much less funny than it was before I typed it,lol.
JR
Okay heres something that really psses me off.
I see this commercial on TV for this really great looking "Hot n' Spicy TexMex BBQ Pepper Steak Submarine Sandwich" at Subway.
(Note:the name has been embelished in place of multiple swear words)
So I drive over to Subway and ask the guy, "Can I get one of those Hot n' Spicy TexMex BBQ Pepper Steak Submarine Sandwiches please?
The kid working there says, "Sure, what kind of bread would you like?"
Now not recalling the commercial exactly and not being directly involved inthe sub business, I said, "Whatever kind of bread that comes with a Hot n' Spicy TexMex BBQ Pepper Steak Submarine Sandwich."
He says to me, "You can have whatever kind you want, white, brown, onion, bran, sesame seed, poppy seed, or italian."
A little confused, I opted for brown.
Then to my amazement the kid asks me, "What would you like on it?"
Now I was positive that I ordered the Hot n' Spicy TexMex BBQ Pepper Steak Submarine Sandwich, and i was positive that I could not recall all of the ingredients from the TV, so not intending to be a smartass I replied, "Whatever comes on a Hot n' Spicy TexMex BBQ Pepper Steak Submarine Sandwich?"
Again he replies, "Well you can have whatever you want."
He then proceeds down the trough of various vegetables and condoments asking me in turn about each one and if I would like it placed upon my Hot n' Spicy TexMex BBQ Pepper Steak Submarine Sandwich.
At this point I am a bit annoyed at how complicated the whole process has become when all I wanted was a simple Hot n' Spicy TexMex BBQ Pepper Steak Submarine Sandwich. In the end, not including the decision to go to Subway, I had to make another 16 decisions before I got my sandwich. What a royal pain.
As I sat in the corner booth and munched away on a well earned lunch, I watched a lady walk in and place her order for a "Veggie Sub" and laughed outloud to hear the kid behind the counter start the exact same line of questioning again, "What kind of bread do you want?"
It just gets my goat that the whole process is identical and as complicated as physically possible no matter what you wish to order. Next time I will just go to McDonalds and order a "Number 5".
