Looks like the MM's doing the ole move up to accomodate some dumping. How many times have we seen this in the past? JMO, of course.
OIL.V also moving, from the TSX Venture Exchange to the TSX Exchange:

Next generation stents, absorbable. BIPH missing the boat. Magnesium alloy no problem with MRI. BSX probably moving beyond BIPH.

BIOTRONIK AG developed its absorbable magnesium alloy stent (AMS) as an alternative to conventional metal stenting and to other absorbable polymer stents under development which have limitations with recoil properties. The company's AMS was designed to benefit patients and physicians on several levels including treating patients with athero-sclerosis who otherwise might not be candidates for cardiovascular stenting, and enabling re-intervention on stented vessels, a procedure that currently is not possible in the majority of cases. In addition, the Company's AMS was designed for use with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in noninvasive cardiac imaging – a growing alternative to angiography – to detect vascular stenosis. Unlike conventional metal stents, the magnesium alloy does not interfere with magnetic imaging. BIOTRONIK's AMS is currently in clinical evaluation for the treatment of vascular critical ischemia in below the knee atherosclerosis with plans for launch in 2005.

OT: Setonian, this post is gone, past history of non-performance is a no-no to the paid pumpers, IMO. Old news on a company is an excellent way to determine the Bullchit factor for a company. FASC rates very high, IMO. I wonder how many bought into the dilution on the "10 KDS sales"?
NEWS RELEASE - January 9, 2002
News Release
First American Scientific Corp (FASC-OTC, BB)
January 9, 2002
FIRST AMERICAN SCIENTIFIC CORP (FASC - OTC, BB) announces test results exceed target production volumes resulting in completion of sale of KDS Micronex system to Biomass Waste Management Ltd, (formerly B & B Poultry Management Ltd) of Abbotsford, BC
Mr. C.L Kantonen, Chairman of First American Scientific Corp ( FASC) is pleased to announce that, after making several system enhancements, high volume production tests at their Abbotsford plant have successfully processed chicken manure through the KDS Micronex system at a rate in excess of 3 tons per hour output. This achievement exceeds our target production levels and establishes the KDS Micronization process as an economically viable, environmentally friendly alternative to disposing of toxic chicken waste and other animal waste. Further, these results satisfy all purchasers' conditions in our sales contract with B & B Poultry Waste Management Ltd (now Biomass Waste Management Ltd.) and completes the sale of our first system to the poultry industry.
According to Jim Carroll, President of Biomass " we are pleased with the throughput from the machine and it has exceeded our requirements to establish a profitable operation". Biomass intends to initially process up to 36 tons per day of chicken manure turning it into a fine, dry, pathogen free end product which will be sold as an organic fertilizer The first machine, which is already installed and fully operational, will be handed over to Biomass on February 1, 2002. The second machine is expected to be delivered within 6 months or as soon as sales demand. Biomass has also been granted exclusive rights to distribute the KDS system in the Fraser Valley of B.C. where they expect to sell 10 additional machines.
First American now intends to begin aggressively marketing the system as a solution for all poultry producers who are faced with stringent new EPA regulations regarding disposal of their waste. The KDS Micronization process has proven effective in removing pathogens and bacteria while turning the chicken waste into a fine dry saleable fertilizer. The equipment will be showcased in Atlanta, Georgia, Jan 16 - 18, at the International Poultry Exposition which will be attended by 22,300 industry decision makers. In light of the recent proven results in Abbotsford, BC, interest in the KDS process is expected to be high.

New horse manure regs in UK July 1, 2005:

Manure storage and disposal advice
Please be aware that new regulations come into force on 01 July 2005. The information on this page refers to regulations that currently apply. This page will be updated in the near future.
Introduction
Surrey is a beautiful county, with over 25% having been designated the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and much of the county being of national importance for landscape or nature conservation reasons. Horses and ponies can have an effect on the landscape, and it is up to their owners and keepers to ensure that this effect is a positive one! The storage and disposal of horse manure can really impact on neighbours as well as visitors to the area, such as those on footpaths and bridleways. A well thought out plan for storage and disposal can ensure that the impact your horse manure has on the environment is a positive one - horse manure is a valuable by-product if it is correctly managed.
Problem
An average horse will produce 20.4 kilos (or 45 pounds) of manure each day or 7.5 tonnes annually. This does not allow for bedding that is removed from the stable when soiled. Whilst some manure is dropped onto fields when horses and ponies are turned out, best practice recommends that this is collected and stored both for paddock hygiene and to improve the appearance of the holding.
Duty of Care
Any one who keeps horses and ponies has a 'Duty of Care' to ensure that their horse manure is stored and disposed of correctly. The Environment Agency regulations state:
"The Duty of Care requires that you ensure all waste is stored and disposed of responsibly, that it is only handled or dealt with by individuals or companies that are authorised to deal with it and that a record is kept of all wastes received or transferred through a system of signed Waste Transfer Notes."
Design for manure
Stables should be designed to prevent drainage contaminated with manure entering any watercourse or drain.
The regulations state that it is mandatory to ensure that:
"When cleaning and disinfecting the stables never let this effluent enter surface water drains or watercourses."
They suggest that you "Divert uncontaminated water, e.g. roof drainage away from dirty areas as only clean water can be discharged directly to watercourses or soakaways."
Storage
Responsible storage is necessary to protect our local environment from the harmful affects that the 'run off' from manure can have if it is allowed to get into watercourses such as streams and rivers via your paddocks and fields.
Environment Agency guidelines for stables states that the following is mandatory
"Run-off from manure heaps, contaminated yards, stable washings and hay soaking should not be allowed to enter surface waters or watercourses unless a written authorisation (a discharge consent) has been received from your Environmental Regulator."
As an example of how to ensure that the rules are followed, they offer guidelines for Good Practice
"Temporary field heaps should be sited where there is no risk of runoff polluting watercourses. They should be at least 10 metres from a watercourse and 50 metres from a well, spring or borehole that supplies water for human consumption or for use in farm dairies."
"Permanent stores should have an impermeable base that slopes so that run-off can be collected easily in a sealed underground tank."
A well-constructed permanent manure store must therefore have a concrete base, which slopes to the back of the store (in the absence of a sealed underground tank), and solid sides which will prevent the muck spilling out and contaminating adjacent land. Ideally, the muck should be kept as dry as possible. A rule of thumb would be that one horse would require an area of 5 cubic metres per week.
Well-composted horse manure can be used as a valuable addition to the garden and even spread back on the horse's own fields. Once manure has been composted for twelve months, it is generally accepted that the larvae of harmful parasites will have died.
Disposal
The issue of disposal of horse waste nationally is currently unresolved. Historically, horse waste from stables where 'bedding' material was straw, was sold to the mushroom compost growers. Local farmers would also remove manure heaps for spreading on agricultural land, but, due to the decline in the number of small farms in the county, there are now fewer small farmers with the time, or the machinery to remove, compost and dispose of their muck heaps. A certain amount of horse manure has always been composted for use on allotments and private gardens,
For many reasons, including changes in agricultural practices, the majority of horses and ponies are now bedded on materials such as wood shavings, shredded paper, shredded card, and even by-products from hemp and wool. Many of these bedding products do not compost in the same way as straw. Wood shavings, for example, have a high lignin content that slows down their rate of decomposition. As with most waste, important legislation now controls the disposal of horse waste from commercial premises and there are now cost implications to the horse owner.
The law
There are different regulations for disposing of manure from commercially kept horses and those that are kept privately, and also for horses kept on legally defined agricultural land. Current legislation states that commercially kept horses, such as those in livery yards or riding stables produce 'controlled waste' that must be disposed of by a licensed waste disposal contractor.
'Controlled Waste' is the definition used in the regulations, and waste becomes 'controlled' where:
it is discarded,
where there is intent to discard,
or where it is required that it must be discarded.
There are circumstances where, on private land, the waste is composted and reused and so may not become a controlled waste. But if the regulations, which govern how waste from commercially kept horses doesn't apply to you, consider applying the standards, as they will help to prevent pollution of your environment and to ensure that unfortunate prosecution does not occur.
Where waste is controlled: i.e. it is discarded or produced as a commercial waste, it is subject to the licensing regime 'Duty of Care' etc. Exemptions can be made and the exemption registered with the local EA office (Frimley, Surrey). Any exemption must comply with the requirements of the Environment Protection Act. In short you can't be exempt if there is a risk of pollution or if nuisance is caused. All controlled wastes are subject to regulation under the Environment Protection Act 1990 and Waste Management Licensing Regulations 1994. Contravention of these regulations constitutes a criminal offence and could lead to heavy penalty upon conviction. Similarly pollution of 'Controlled Waters' is regulated under the Water Resources Act 1991.
Solution
The best way for the private horse or pony owner to manage their manure is to compost it at home, in a properly constructed manure store for use on their own holding. Commercial premises, unless they are on legally defined agricultural land, will have to use a registered waste contractor to remove their manure.
It is still possible for allotments to receive manure from large stable yards as long as they are registered as being exempt from the waste management licensing regulations, and a registered waste carrier transports the manure to them.
Summary
Horse manure is a valuable by product, which with proper handling can be of little concern to other users of the county. Horse owners can help to create a positive image of their activities by handling and storing manure as inoffensively as possible.
Even if the regulations, which govern how waste from commercially kept horses doesn't apply to you, consider applying the standards, as they will help to prevent pollution of your environment..

Uh oh, some buyers sneaking in! Have to keep a close eye on it!
tenzzi, we'll see at the next filing. I'm probably wrong, they have been open about it in the past, it's just that the Authorized is at the end of the tunnel and I can see why they may have changed their policy.
As you all know, I hate to be Mr. Negative, but I think the transfer agent has been instructed to report the latest filing OS, not the YTD. Of course I could be wrong.
Deal with BSX by Friday? Does Weiner always meet dates?
$60 oil, more highs to be tested? Good time for some news from Tandem, IMO.
PS: Learn Chinese, or at least tell your grandkids to learn it!
More news on PA, deal with Japan's JSAT Corp, still looks like a long term winner to me and 7% yield. No message boards yet that I can find to mess with your mind! LOL!
JSAT forms satellite tie-up with PanAmSat for U.S.
Sun Jun 26, 2005 10:22 PM ET
TOKYO, June 27 (Reuters) - Japan's JSAT Corp. (9442.T: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Monday it has agreed with U.S.-based PanAmSat Holding Corp. (PA.N: Quote, Profile, Research) to jointly launch a satellite in 2007 to meet demand for high-definition TV and other services in the United States.
Japan's largest communications satellite operator said it would invest $140 million in the venture with PanAmSat, the world's third-largest communications satellite operator whose broadcast customers include CNN, HBO and MTV.
The two companies will form a joint venture company to operate a satellite that will be able to cover almost the entire U.S. market, JSAT said in a statement.
Shares of JSAT shot up on the news, ending morning trade in Tokyo up 5.04 percent at 271,000 yen. The benchmark Nikkei average lost 1.16 percent.
WyoInvestor, laughter is good for the soul, glad I provided some material for you! Imagine discussing stock investment strategies on a stock board! What was I thinking! LOL!
OT: twojugglers, the boards aren't that active on the individual stocks, haven't checked the general market discussion boards in a while. Went back to check out the "top members" after posting here, something seems fishy with the top two, their rec posts don't show up on the individual stock boards. Maybe they found a way to beat the system to be top members. I know some have used stocks with a reverse split announced to get a quick triple or whatever before Clearstation makes the split change effective at the site. As TR said, can't always believe what you see on the message sites! LOL!
Clearstation does have a good link at the "Tag and Bag" which gives some good data on trends, gainers, etc. Their TA "school" is interesting which explains their charting method. The guy that started the site sold it to Etrade a couple of years ago.
OT: TRCPA, I wasn't refering to personalities, just results. Follow the leader, but do your own DD, I just mentioned that site because it's normally tough to follow a track record even for the "popular" gurus like Jim Cramer, etc., and certainly impossible to follow black and white results of posters on RB or IHUB. I will be the first to admit I'm not a "leader" when it comes to picking stocks, and I think most aren't. So it certainly doesn't hurt to check out those with a proven track record, IMO.
At least thanks for the discussion, may we all make money however we approach the markets!
OT: TRCPA, follow the money? I find it very difficult to accept your "analysis" since your track record on FASC and other positive posts on OTC stocks aren't very portfolio friendly. Now, if you revealed you have been trading FASC over the years, playing the dips and spikes, you would be more credible to me.
The best investing message board site on the internet, IMO, is Clearstation. The posters there maintain a "Recommend" portfolio for all to see. Really puts the credibility on the line and the members are ranked according to the success of their picks. "Short" recs can also be entered, but stocks under a buck can't go on the rec list.
OT: TRCPA, get what you pay for? When was the last time you paid to read an SEC filing? Message boards can sometime spark your interest in a company that seems to meet your initial criteria with a PR or other company info then one can follow up with DD. Certainly some individual posters are followed because they make an effort to share info and have a good track record. On IHub I follow Doubloon's recs because he does a lot of research and shares the info. Most of his picks are not my "cup of tea", but his info is very complete.
I don't follow Eury or the Cardinal picks because I can't afford to lose that much money and their picks aren't shortable! LOL!
OT: Terry, I love a pump and dump play once in a while with the vacation money. Posting to save novices? No, posting to discuss "investment" strategies. Got burned on a couple of scams because I didn't consider the "negative" views posted. Hard to get good DD sometimes when companies outright lie.
Funny how some FASC longs were "attacked" on the ALMI board trying to discuss the KDS sold to ALMI. Funny because the ALMI longs thought it was wonderful that the clay was going to be processed, but that FASC was a POS, yet the great ALMI was still willing to deal with them. Most learn about these stocks from board spam, but once they buy in they run spammers off! LOL!
TRCPA, well, if the professionals did the DD and told investors to buy this at 30 cents, they would end up with few clients. They don't recommend OTC or Pink Sheet stocks because they are CRAP! You can put all the lipstick you want on them, but they are pumps and dumps, get in and out quickly before the dilution wipes you out. The "Pros" have enough problems finding good recs on the major exchanges without fooling around with poo. Sure, some investors get lucky and lots of people win the Lotteries every year, would you advise your friends and family to invest a $1000 a month in Lottery tickets?
OT: Terry, the only point I was making was that very few professionals recommend investing in OTC or Pink Sheet stocks heavily for long term investment goals. Sure money can be made there, but the risk is super high, IMO. I'm cautious of biotechs and drug companies in general just because bad results during testing, or news of bad side effects after a drug is on the market can wipe you out overnight. Sure, other companies can do the same, but drug companies seem to get a lot more negative press generally speaking.
twojugglers, we were building a house in 1999/2000 and I dumped a lot of stock to put the funds in the house. I was all peed off at the time selling and paying capital gains. The house is now worth 3 times what the stock was back then and probably 10-20 times if I had held! LOL!
