I think many here see the glass half full, but sadly many also see that YA's presence is draining the glass from the bottom.
Maybe, and its a long shot, a PR will surface highlighting all the events once the MWC wraps up.
I say a rocket with little fuel.
I meant my response to have sarcasim in it, but yes, I agree that YA wants it to be a secluded event.
It's being held at NEOM offices b/c we're poor.
No revenue = poor.
To have it somewhere else neom would have to pay, which means YA would be awarded more benefits to lend the money.
thank you sir, perhaps I shouldn't be on a forum while at work.
I think he's referring to Friday being the day when volume picks up, which is an obvious day for anyone looking to flip quickly (ahem, Zacked). Daytraders will load up Friday at a low PPS, hoping some good news comes somewhat relevant to Neom or Neustar on the 15th (a day they can't buy b/c the market is closed), thus allowing them to flip Tuesday the 16th.
If anyone is looking to recover some of their unrealized gains, then the grade school, I mean Zacked, 'insight' may be warranted.
I hope I'm wrong but I do think IM is being upfront, truthful and acting in the best interest of the shareholders...
sadly though, its the shareholders with 53% voting rights.
Q the sad face..... :(
This is nice, hopefully other companies jump on the band wagon.
Of course not, not really surprised I suppose.
Howard or anyone:
When is it expected, or what is the projected timeline, for a clearinghouse to be named?
To build on this...
you also have to keep in mind that companies pay 10's of thousands of dollars for marketing reports which sheds light into consumer prefrences for the market in which they operate, not necessarily the product or brand itself...and the reports data usually lags a few quarters to a year (meaning not real-time).
Gathering specific statistics on the consumers and the market locations which actually do click and purchase a product, but more imporortantly(IMO)consumers which click and do not purchase is a very attractive feature. Gathering this information in real-time can greatly assist a company in repositioning a particular product to have a greater impact on consumers which seem to be interested (indicated by the clicking), yet not willing to go through with a purchase(indicated by the lack of coupon use, for example).
HOpefully Neustar can deliver on these expectations.
Anyone else feel like the knife in their back is now beginning to twist?
My prediction:
It will be held in a board room with maybe 10-15 seats. The BOD and YA will be seated at all but 2-3 seats...and a few close friends of IM will take the remaining seats to represent the "concerned common shareholders"...this way they can say common shareholders were present.
You would think someone that is tech savvy and is serious about their career would set privacy settings to not be publicly searched. And why hasn't his network been changed to Neom?
Don't forget about the patents...
:)
Thank you for your input. Before being banned I just wanted to take a moment and acknowledge someone willing to lend a helping hand. It is and has always been appreciated.
Curious...what's the benefit to YA to have 52% voting rights as opposed to 51%? Majority is given at 51%....just wondering aloud why they wanted/got that.
Looks like some more good points have been brought up on GOMO
http://www.gomonews.com/mobile-barcode-company-neomedia-responds-to-shareholders/
My guess is people are thinking they are missing the boat....only to soon find out the boat is anchored with a leak.
Then I wouldn't suspect Neustar to significantly sell Neom until they know for sure they will benefit much more from the use of Neom's patents. Sure, they've already licensed with Neom, but once Neustar is named the clearing house then pipeline potential increases drastically for Neustar, and thus Neom through patent usage.
The NY movement seems to be an alternative approach to solidify Neom's presence in N. America.
What's the opinion on John Manganilla, the new guy? Wonder how well his ties with MMA will impact these initiatives.
Forgive me if I've missed this, but has Neustar officially been named the clearinghouse?
To me this seems to be the obvious reason why Neom needed the large funding? Thoughts?
Ryan2044: I too agree that facts are more important than speculation, facts that are good and facts that are bad. Many theories brought up here shed new light on how to interpret the facts we do have. Since none of us here are in the Neom/YA circle, all we can do is conjure plausible theories and adjust our investments accordingly on each individuals interpretation of the facts and theories. Castrating the people which bring new ideas doesn't get this board anywhere, and I feel hinders the advancement of figuring out why and how recent events have unfolded.
By the way, I first read you on the google boards in March (I believe) and I must say since coming over here your questions have yielded answers from others which, I at least, find beneficial.
Make it a great day
Codes
exactly, so if they don't pump the benefits of what may occur at the request of it's readers...then (to me at least) it confirms that there are no benefits to us (the readers).
yes i do, so they are the only ones with a potential in. If there is nothing shady going on then an interview should be easily achieved...if we push GoMo to pursue an interview and nothing happens...then silence on both ends confirms something is up. GoMo is still a publication.
It's a much more realistic approach as opposed to legal action, SEC and FBI involvement that has been mentioned on this board. Baby steps people.
What if
What if we email GoMoNews in mass quantities to attempt to get an interview with IM? It's a very long shot but perhaps this is a venue for IM to state for the record that what ever is going on is in the best interest of the common shareholder. If GoMo is a credible new source then pressure from the press may yield answers...they seem to be the only ones interested in Neom.
Just an idea...a very unlikely idea but it's an idea.
Has anyone thrown out the idea of a Joint Venture?
Not a buyout, but partnering with a CREDIBLE company to give ample cash flow and utilization of the patents to get this industry moving.
*note: I'm trying to find a glimmer of hope here.
Yes, thank you...I too needed to find some humor in these events.
Asking clarification on 120 day period of no sale...
Does this mean YA cannot dillute for the next 3 months, and that the only dillution is coming from common shareholders dumping?
McCready's future rebuttle:
"I'm often mis-qouted by the media"
The more I kept reading the more that thought was coming to mind. There seems to be alot of restrictions and alot of benefits to YA for their sudden, out of the blue financing. Although Claw did remind me that the funds are for general corporate purposes...that's still a pretty broad statement about what the general purposes are. Didn't Ian say 2010 would be good for us.
Throwing this out there from the bleachers in left field.
What if Neom needs financing from YA b/c Neom is the one thinking of acquiring someone else? It wasn't mentioned neom needed it to keep operating...and the 120 day time frame is long enough to do a lot of grunt work for an acquisition. Would this help explain why htis happened so abruptly and so strangly? Is this even a possibility?
The floor is open.....I'm just trying to find ways to possibly keep my sanity in this stock. This is all my opinion by the way.
I read that the same way as you. There seems to be a lot of negative possibilities which may occur, but I'm optimistic that a 3rd party is attempting to resolve the financing plaque of YA, which may permit an easier merge or acquisition.
"Kill the beast before it kills you".
I'm outside of Cincinnati in the burbs. I recently gave a presentation to about 40 fellow MBA students (all being well seasoned within about 15-20 different industries) about how the use of 2d barcodes could help regain lost marketshare and revenue that printed newspapers have been losing since the internet came around, and how they need to take advantage of the mobile phone boom. Not a single student, including the prof, had ever seen or heard of them...but they all thought it was pretty cool. During the presentation I used my phone and showed them how simple it was and discussions escalated to how beneficial this could be for buisnesses (reaching target markets, identifying target markets, tracking who's doing what, what's popular)...hopefully they will pass it on to their marketing departments.
I promote it to anyone I can. Wonder if I can get commissions...
Indeed very impressive list, thanks JP. And I'm not taking it as being directed towards me. I've been watching and invested for some time and I know who is credible on this board and who's not, just sucks I started posting at a time when daytraders plague this stock and board.
Anywho, everything is in place and partners are coming in. Neom has loaded the clip, is lining up at the target, and adjusting for wind right now.
My opinion is when 6 out of 10 people know what a 2-d code is, and more importantly what it can do for them, then this market will explode by Neom pulling the trigger for a bullseye.
I agree, I believe when we see a generalized "this is a 2-d code, this is what it does, this is how to do it, this is what YOU get out of using it", then it's to the moon. Was it the NY times or USA Today that did a piece on it a few years back? Which ever one, it needs to have a follow up now that pieces are falling into place and they are beginning to pop up. Prefer a feature on NEOM, but in all likely hood, whoever is featured will give more exposure and from there the snowball effect will take off much quicker. As long as the clicks go through Neustar then I'm a happy man.
completely agree with that, but how much advertising have you seen outside of trade publications or mobile/tech publications in the US? I have seen it in a couple other publications, but not much and not often. Once it's out there and normal people understand it there's no stopping where this can go. This is and will continue to be huge.
