Don't know what you mean by "real launch". All I was/am expecting is the "coming soon" page at ultraflix.com site to be lifted. The Super B ad predictions are from over zealous posters who have no basis for their prediction.
Sweet chip, candidate for np-2? Ntek always a step ahead!
God I hope you're correct
Going to be an epic month, can't wait to try some, my fav local retailer wants to get it as soon as its available (easy coast), they are always looking for new things, they checked the website since my last visit and are intrigued.
Don't worry, the "OMG, pics of NTEK consumers with their magic boxes from box stores" posts are right around the corner. Are you ready?
The answer to that question will be epic. It's not a matter of how but when. Big time PR's on their way.
also from IR:
who wants to get in now? or chase Monday?
Very plausible IMO.
Agreed. I wasn't expecting NTEK to release anything today, but should we be surprised? I anticipate a simple opening up of the ultraflix.com website Sunday with a PR on Monday.
be nice to turn that sma20 to support
NTEK reaching critical mass. We are witnessing 4K history.
Just think about the contacts these guys bring to NTEK and the employees that will quit their jobs to be part of the 4K Revolution that is NTEK. Wait until they start mentoring the best and brightest from down the road at Ex'pression College for Digital Arts -NTEK will only continue to get better, more inventive. NTEK will be a household name around the world, I can't believe how lucky we are to get in at these prices. wow
Wait, Mitch Lowe, co-founder of Netflix would want to work with a P&D scam co. like NTEK? Imagine!!!! What is this world coming to???!
Are we in a recession? Lol, come on Obama's president!
We are getting to the point where anything you like to watch on TV can be had a day later on Hulu for $8 a month.
Movies? I can wait 6-12 months to rent most if them. If not I go to the theatre.
Kids love Netflix, moms maybe more.
I just tossed my DVR cable box (TWC) and reduced my bill this month from $155 to $58. I get crystal clear HD channels (CBS fox NBC ABC). The only thing that is different is having to watch commercials during sports events, pretty much the only thing I watch live TV for anyway.
I only need cable for their internet service in order to stream what I want to watch a la carte. Once I buy a modem I'll return their modem and save another $12 a month.
...after losing more than two million TV customers in 26 consecutive quarters over a half-dozen years because of competing online video, satellite-TV providers, and telephone companies entering the TV business."
Try telling the whole story:
See last paragraph. IMO, cable is on its way out.
"The nation's largest cable company, Comcast Corp., added 43,000 TV subscribers in the fourth quarter of 2013 after losing more than two million TV customers in 26 consecutive quarters over a half-dozen years because of competing online video, satellite-TV providers, and telephone companies entering the TV business.
Reversing the TV drain in its legacy business had been a top priority and Comcast attributed the reversal to improved customer service and lower customer churn. Comcast stanched losses, moreover, without cutting prices or even slowing persistent annual rate hikes for its triple play of Internet, TV, and phone services.
Cable division head Neil Smit said in a conference call with analysts that "it will take a while" before Comcast adds TV subscribers over a full year. This year, Comcast subscribers will see an average 3 percent hike in their cable bills, Smit said.

I've been going back to older NTEK PR's and have been really excited to gain insight into the company vision then and see where they are heading now.
For instance, I didn't know NTEK was into 3DTV outside of their Magic Screen acquisition:
I'm thinking they just remove the "coming soon" page from ultraflix.com, which, to me would be just fine. I don't know realistically where they'd get the advertising $ to do anything big. Once the box store(s) PR gets released, many other consumers and retailers will do advertising for them and in the very near future, there will be a budget line for advertising as a result of the NP-1 sales along with folks realizing their largest source of 4K content is on UltraFlix. I'd love a Super Bowl ad just as much as the next NTEK investor, I'm not expecting it however. Not saying you were implying SB ad either. It's going to be an exciting February indeed.
I like to think of this in the short term as where this places NTEK vs. their competitors.
First, no matter what content is out there, NO company can stream 4K under 15mpbs. Except NTEK - as low as 6mbps.

ceo? I tend not to speak on something I know nothing about, you should try the same. Who's the ceo of this revenue producing company?
I'll let em sit, like I said, it's a small position and I have my stop set. I was hoping to find something positive from the CC, all I got was more of the same from Clark. Wake up dude and smell the coffee, this ops can only run on the pump and zero substance, they have nothing. I took a calculated risk getting in and it is what it is.
Not worried about the award winning NP-1, not worried about the app3dtv app either. One of these two looks like crap, smells like crap.... .we know which one we're talking about, and btw, the apple app doesn't exist, so there is really NOTHING to worry about.
What would you have preferred, 26 minutes? would that still have been funny? lol.
Just finished my morning cigar and coffee, off to better things, like not reading this board. Same TDEY, different day.
Listened to 25 minutes of the CC, about all I could stomach. My question is what did Clark actually do for TDEY as CEO? Everything he says he's doing for SWRF is exactly what he was doing at TDEY, and vice versa. The app3dtv app and content creation. So when you say TDEY was taking up more time than you expected, what else were you doing?
The next question is, how in the world are you paying your employees, office space, studio creation? What revenue do you have to do this? SWRF is still not going to be able to acquire iPointTV because they will have no money to buy it. They need to dupe more shareholders and keep on diluting to do anything, including paying for air-fares, lodging, and expenses to do what?
When he says stabilize the PPS of their companies, all I hear is how can we position our public view so that investors will give us money, knowing that they have nothing except a really shotty framework for creating content.
Any company that would partner with the trifecta has to be just as disillusioned as Clark's trifecta, as they all wallow in ineffectiveness. Thank goodness my position here was/is small. Praying they find a way to pump this thing to trigger my sell stop. Clark is loco, it really sounds like he believes in what he's doing.
Now, another CEO for TDEY? come on, we all know they don't need one, the companies are one and the same, but we can always dilute more to pay for another CEO, it's been working well for them as we can all see.
I thought Washington legalized like colarado. I don't have a position here but have been watching from the sidelines. Is there a timetable for Washington to legalize?
Can someone tell me why the state of the union is a catalyst for mjna?
Bring it.
So you covered last week and are ready to ride the next leg up?
I'm willing to bet ntek is gearing up for an epic (read Mongolian cluster dance) day/week of pr's around this ultraflix launch that included np-1 deliveries, box stores, content licenses etc. it just feels like they're waiting to plop it all down in one big bomb announcement.
Ll8 when ultraflix launches, who's going to be the worldwide leader in 4k content?
And,
Who's selling the ONLY devices in the world that can stream this 4K content?
Oh yeahhh, NTEK!!!!!!!!!
Haha
NHK just successfully ran a test broadcast in 8k. Some sources think they'll likely be testing 8k at 2014 World Cup as well.

gotcha, go NTEK.
"Netflix currently in 4K only for appearances sake":
http://www.avforums.com/news/netflix-currently-in-4k-for-apperances-sake.9844
Netflix released their quarterly earnings report last night and in doing so revealed a couple of tidbits worth noting.
As we saw at the International CES 2014, Netflix is aiming to be at the apex of 4K content delivery and was involved in a number of manufacturer announcements regarding their upcoming 4K capable streaming app.
The likes of Panasonic, Sony, Samsung and LG will all have TVs in 2014 capable of decoding the HEVC compressed Ultra HD content but, according to Netflix, they are presently really only involved for appearances sake.
In a letter to shareholders, Netflix said that only a significant minority of their users would be able to receive the 15.6 Mbps streams and that, “the short-term impact of 4K is mainly on consumer perception of Netflix as a leader in Internet TV”
Whilst we’re much in agreement with what they’re saying, it’s a surprisingly honest and public assessment of the situation.
"4K is mainly on consumer perception of Netflix as a leader in Internet TV”
The company also went on to reiterate that all its future self-produced content would be produced in 4K, however, and specifically cited House of Cards as an example, as well as re-confirming that all 5 seasons of Breaking Bad would be available in 4K resolution this year.
Netflix also revealed that they were putting multi-tiered levels of membership under consideration. In the States, Netflix already offers a ‘premium’ membership option, where 4 concurrent streams can be viewed by one household, in comparison to the two allowed under the current standard deal.
The company has also been testing other options, where either only one stream or three streams can be used, as well as SD/HD variations, at various price points.
DVD revenues still outweigh those from streaming
The membership tiers are very much in the planning stages, at present, with Netflix’s ultimate goal of being able to, “offer new members a selection of three simple options to fit everyone’s taste.”
Any such implementation of new pricing structures would not immediately impact existing subscribers however with Netflix promising, “existing members would get generous grandfathering of their existing plans and prices,” or, in other words, there would be a grace period allowing you to keep your existing plan.
In other news, Netflix says they now have nearly 45 million users, worldwide, with that figure set to go up another four million, or so, in the current financial quarter. Revenues are also very healthy with $962 million accrued via streaming services, in the last quarter alone, but revenue from its DVD business topped even that, with $1,175 million received.
Can anything stop the Netflix juggernaut?
It's a catch-22 for them, they either have to admit he's a genius and irreplaceable, and they can't do that but they also can't admit he's expendable either because then all the posts they wrote are pointless, what a conundrum...
Epic indeed
