We are getting to the point where anything you like to watch on TV can be had a day later on Hulu for $8 a month.
Movies? I can wait 6-12 months to rent most if them. If not I go to the theatre.
Kids love Netflix, moms maybe more.
I just tossed my DVR cable box (TWC) and reduced my bill this month from $155 to $58. I get crystal clear HD channels (CBS fox NBC ABC). The only thing that is different is having to watch commercials during sports events, pretty much the only thing I watch live TV for anyway.
I only need cable for their internet service in order to stream what I want to watch a la carte. Once I buy a modem I'll return their modem and save another $12 a month.
"The NP-1 is fully capable of HEVC (H.265) in 4K....Any claims that the Tegra 4 cannot do this is just uninformed nonsense...Anyone telling you different is simply spreading misinformation to further an agenda of misinformation." David Foley - 1/10/14
