Yaya...re NSM...I believe the e-mail said that the Peackeeper would be available on 10/6. I believe that Steven had mentioned that NSM was already shipping NSM to some of their clients...maybe Unclevername could check if he mentioned that in the last CC. Now the question to be answered is whether or not the 10/6 represents the day that PCs equipped with the Peacekeeper will be availavle or is it the date that the Peacekeeper will be available for the PC OEMs to install into their future PCs.
Sincerely,
Jas
Doma...re buyout..I don't think that a buyout would take place at this time. Management is about to smell blood in the market...why would they want to give up control at this time? If there would be a buyout offer made...they would have to come in at a lg multiple of the curent share price. Given the fact that we have spent ~250 million dollars developing our tech...an offer would have to be at LEAST 500-750 million. Once again...I doubt the company would be sold even if the above were to be offered. IMHO
Sincerely,
Jas
re...Digital ID World Conference 2003...(Sorry if this info has been posted before)
Oct 15...Topic:Trusted Computing...Speakers Steven Sprague Pres of Wave Systems and Peter Biddle NGSCB Microsoft.(these are the only two speakers on this topic!)
Nice to see us once again sitting with the big boys
Sincerely,
Jas
Snackman....I truly have NO idea where to start regarding your response to one of my posts. If you honestly believe that my recent posts constitute "whining"....then I feel sorry for you. Do you truly believe that you have any MORE loyalty to Wave Systems than myself or any of the other OLD TIMERS who have raised questions?
Jas
John...I couldn't agree with you more...Simply having concerns about certain decisions does NOT make the individual any less of a LOYAL shareholder.
Sincerely,
Jas
Lincoln....I respect your opinion on this topic....however...lets just say that we have a difference of opinion. I agree that we should not attempt to sell off this asset at this time.
Sincerely,
Jas
Awk...re Michael...With all due respect...well..I will not go there. You accused me of being devoid of logic in asserting that I have a concern with the "promotion". Lets take a look:
1) Qualifications: I asserted that simply because one KNOWS the technology better than anyone else does NOT make anyone QUALIFIED to be President and COO of a company. Does Carly know HPs technology better than anyone else in the company? Why was she hired to be CEO? She brought a wealth of EXPERIENCE that she developed by climbing the corporate ladder. She brought her own VISION and set broad goals for HP. She positioned executives in jobs that would insure that her directives would be carried out. In short..she had a track record of demonstrating LEADERSHIP.
2) Liberal views and PC never created a business? EXCUSE ME? Where the heck did that rebut come from? If anything...I would think that my view on this topic represents the CONSERVATIVE business mentality.
3)BOD...and my right to question their decisions: Given the number of shares that I control....GIVES ME EVERY RIGHT TO QUESTION A DECISION MADE BY OUR BOD!
Sincerely or not,
Jas
Weby...re Michael...I'm somewhat surprised that more people don't want to raise an eyebrow to this 'promotion". Let me start off by saying that Michael may know WaveXpress better than anyone in the company..but is that accomplishment enough to be named President and COO? If we are truly attempting to spin Wavexpress off as a seperate company...we wil have to work with the street. Perception is an important component when it comes to the institutional community. Are you comfortable with the perception that one is left with after this promotion? To some...we look as though we are still in the bush leagues. If the company is attempting to build the enterprise...then why not hire someone in the industry who has a track record of bringing business to a corporation? Simply "knowing" how the technology works should not be the major factor. Feeding the "perception" does not help any of the shareholders.... FWIW
Sincerely,
Jas
Willem...re Wavexpress...I sincerely hope that you are just joking...but just in case...Wavexpress is owned by Wave Systems...NOT the Spragues. As such...each Wave Shareholder owns a portion of WaveXpress. This "promotion" is something else! ;-( Whether or not Michael is the most qualified or not is almost beyond the point....What is IMPORTANT is the perception it feeds.
Sincerely,
Jas
Lucky...re share price...
What does a sell off on low volume tell you? Mind you that we are saying that trading a million shares/day of WAVX constitutes low volume
What does a sell off shortly after the conversion of the warrents tell you? Could it be that some of the people who participated in the PP were pressed into converting BEFORE they had enough cash to pay for the conversion? If there were people who fell into this group, they would not have much choice but to sell their new shares to pay for the conversion costs.
What does the sell off on the LAST few days of a quarter in which the stock runs from 80 cents to the 2.5-5.20s tell you? It is very logical to think that some simply want to book profits for the quarter.
Lucky...the point is that there are a number of potential explanations as to the drop in share price. The share price will take care of itself. The only thing I'm interested in is whether or not the company executes its plan. If we do infact drop any lower....I'll GUARANTEE you that I will be buying additional shares!
Sincerely,
Jas
Mig...re support...There are a couple of issues that we need to address:
1) I believe that we have experienced ONE day in which our total volume was UNDER one million shares since 7/31. THINK ABOUT THAT COMMENT! Obviously we are on a number of radar screens.
2) Our appreciation from 80cents to our current level was fueled by the INTC and IBM news. The street is taking a wait and see approach before jumping fully on board. I believe that they have gotten their feet wet...but are waiting before investing further.
3) During the recent IDF..we saw further evidence that we are working closely with INTEL. What the street appears to be waiting for is CONFIRMATION that our product is SHIPPING. This sould take place during the FOURTH quarter.
Jas
Mig...re share price...WAVX has obviously had a tremendous run during the third quarter. Today is the LAST day of the third quarter. Do you think that there may be a few funds that are selling to simply book their profits for this quarter?? Why do you people continue to exhibit little investing knowledge of how the market works. Instead of crying and yelling about the recent slide...pick a point in which to step up to the plate...if one continues to have faith in our role in the TRUSTED COMPUTING MOVEMENT....FWIW
Jas
re Intel and trusted computing...
I'm sure that this article has already been posted...but it's worth reading it again:

2B...regarding Intel/SONY...Doesn't Waves patent play into this arena? The part of interest deals with sharing downloaded content with other devices in the house.

Jas
Mongo...re Bluefang...I actually know Bluefang...and let me say the following:
1) Bluefang is a very honest gentleman who can be described as a straight shooter.
2) Bluefang has NEVER had any intentions of manipulating any boards.
3) Bluefang has been in this stock for over SIX years. He has asked questions of management and the answers he received differed tremendously from what actually took place. He has therefore taken the approach of seeing is believing. Although I don not currently share his skepticism in the company...I do not blame him for his doubts....which I am sure will vanish as soon as we see the fog lift around the upcoming deployment schedule.
Sincerely,
Jas
Rooster...re IDF article...Intel President and COO Paul Otellini said..."LaGrande, a hardware based security effort is designed to protect data from hackers or spyware as it moves withina system. Intel intends to place this technology on just about EVERY product it sells within the NEXT two or three years...."
I guess we have just been given the first indication as to our POTENTIAL scale of deployment ))
Sincerely,
Jas
re Northrop...Isn't NG a client of SSPX??
Sincerely,
Jas
Tampa...re questions...Can you elaborate on NSM and HP?
Sincerely,
Jas
Spin...re SSPX..If the stock does tumble...I think that I may add to my position. They've made some very important inroads over the past few quarters! I still believe that they make for a very tempting target for a takeover...IMHO

Jas
OT...Dean Campaign...To my Democratic friends...According to the Dean Campaign...they are expecting to raise ~10 million dollars this quarter with a whisper number approaching 15 million. The campaign has been talking about the potential of hitting the 50 million dollar mark by the end of the year. Now...if we can get some publicity regarding our TVTONIC!
Sincerely,
Jas
Lucky...re SHM...Take it from someone who has been to a number of these events....The formal meeting usually ends around 5:45-6:00 PM Thereafter, the crowd breaks up into small groups surrounding various members of management as well as some of the BOD. This phase normally runs until~7-7:30PM. At this time...some will go out to dinner with other attendees and then take anywhere from 1-3 hours to get home....This is the normal course of events...I would not be surprised to see a flurry of reports between 22:00-MN.
Sincerely,
Jas
CPA...re SSPX...Does this news effect a possible buy out?...NO...Does this news inhibit our ability to sell our shares in a block to a potential strategic partner?...NO (granted that if we were in a huge rush to sell...it may limit our returns) Does this news prevent the stock from getting to the 2-3 dollar range??NO...Don't forget that we hit the mid 20s WHILE we were still on the BB. SSPX share price will respond to the fundementals...which ARE improving....FWIW
Jas
Packster....I guess I should have read all the posts before I replied to Gregs post
Sincerely,
Jas
Greg s...correct me if I'm wrong...but don't they manufacture ~30-35 million MBs/quarter?
Jas
Go figure...re Smartmoney....Do you consider yourself DELUSIONAL? Do you think a DELUSIONAL company could have been one of the MAJOR forces in creating a market that nobody wanted to address a few years ago? What part of the term DELUSIONAL do you think is fair? Do you think that quoting an analyst that says that this segment is not going to make much headway prior to 2005-2006 Longhorn and IGNORING all the developments that suggest that the train will in fact be LEAVING the station THIS YEAR is right? Placing the light on our warts is one thing...creating an illusion that we are simply a bunch of Don Quijotes swinging at wind mills that will not arrive until 2005 is something else all together.
Sincerely,
Jas
CPA...re Smartmoney...I think you're way off base in your critique of the longs. Nobody is saying that there are NO warts in our investment. However....and this is an important point...Wave has single handedly managed to turn the tide regarding hardware based security applications. NO OTHER COMPANY HAS BEEN RESPONSIBLE FOR CREATING THE TRUSTWORTHY COMPUTING MOVEMENT! Wave and her delusional investors deserve credit for that very important point. I don't mind a journalist talking about the hurdles the company needs to overcome in the near future....what I object to is the complete absence of an understanding regarding the significance of the TRUSTWORTHY COMPUTING MOVEMENT. To quote an analyst saying that NOTHING significant will take place in this sector UNTIL 2005-2006 (Longhorn) flies in the face of the facts that IBM has ALREADY deployed over 4 MILLION TPM enabled PCs/notebooks....flies in the face of HP deploying TPM PCs....flies in the face of INTC having a motherboard for the next generation of secure computing READY to go by the 4th quarter of 2003. These are SOME of the points that we object to regarding the article...FWIW
Jas
Weby....re Sincerely or not...Old friend....geez...that phrase sounds familiar )))))))))))))))))))))
Sincerely,
Jas
Zoomer...good to see you around again. I would love to see something constructive in the Wavexpress arena...It amazes me that given the tech of TV Tonic...we haven't seen much public commentary.
Sincerely,
Jas
Toro...re buying WAVX...What can I say..great minds think alike ) Regarding Larry D...he seems to be a sraight shooter...FWIW
Sincerely,
Jas
Wavxmaster...re bottom...You're absolutely right! I just nibbled...and have some additional cash on the sidelines.
Sincerely,
Jas
Wavxmaster...re 2.74...Thanks...that is the day that I was talking about...we hit 2.74 briefly and then traded in the 3s that day.
Jas
Larry...re 2.74 Did you arrive at this number because it was the low of the day that we had the announcement regarding the 3.6 million....as I recall..we barely touched that figure and were in the 90s almost immediately on the way up to the 3.70s. I would actually put the key in the low 80s...the only reason I'm paying attention is to determine an entry spot to INCREASE my current holdings.
Sincerely,
Jas
Mongo...re 2.82...there is a provision in the recent financing that mentions an action that the company could force when the share price is over 150% the warrent price for 15 days....the problem is that the clock has not started yet...so this discussion is somewhat...well...just take advantage of the confusion
Sincerely,
Jas
CMF...re short numbers....what numbers are you talking about?
Sincerely,
Jas
Good evening Larry,
You're correct that the recent rise in share price may not have been secondary to short covering....in fact, I absolutely believe that it had nothing to do with the shorts. Having said this, the explosive volume allowed the shorts an opportunity to cover without driving the price up tremendously. One could also argue that the recent dramatic rise has also invited a new group of shorts to intitiate a position. If the company begins to execute....the new shorts will provide us with some iteresting fuel
Sincerely,
Jas
Good evening Larry,
I'm not sure what to do with that short data...given our recent volume explosion. It's hard to believe that we had days in which less than 50k shares were traded in the entire day. The numbers for this month ...as well as next months... will be interesting to see...
Sincerely,
Jas
Trustco...re AMD...There is NO way we are currently in any AMD product that is currently shipping....Sorosboy was off base with his comments yesterday...Finally...just because an AMD bear decides to buy AMD doesn't mean he knows anything about Wave...imho
Sincerely,
Jas
Go-kite/Zeev...I guess you guys could be correct regarding the shorts covering...If that is correct...then why didn't we see that more often the past few weeks?...infact...it's been the opposite. I'll keep an open mind...
Sincerely,
Jas
Good evening Zeev...re close...What you say is true...except what fueled the rise from 3.18 to 3.35 were some 400,000 shares whereas our fall was due to a small fraction of that volume.
Sincerely,
Jas
MINI...thanks for the info. The interesting part was that after nearly 400,000 shares in less than five minutes...they took us down from 3.24-3.25 with ~1,200 shares...now that is what I call INTERESTING!
Jas
