I just checked, 300 board marks now, congrats.
I agree, I didn't see those when I posted. Interestingly, two of the responses were from posters on this board. Credit where credit is due, and you were one of them.
This is for all you WAMUQ fans. Check out post 149900 from Mordicai posted today. As you know, Mordicai is one of the best, if not the very best, posters on that board. Read the second paragraph, I think you will get a kick out of it.
Good point, but I'm not sure it's as early as you think here. That's why I'm confident you have major money in both.
I was referring to Monk's detonator comment. But this is an explosive stock as well.
Agree, both are excellent, but better leverage here right now.
Is this The Hurt Locker board?
That was my attempt at humor, but I appreciate your clarification.
GM Board. Maybe some of the money in this stock is going into the other one which is running currently. It will come back here in due time. Wish I had some dry powder.
GM Monk and CDIVers. Happy campers here, hope that our patience continues, if we don't sell for awhile we will all prosper.
$1.25? Do we have to wait that long for the cover to start?
You are welcome. BTW, you are to be commended for your contributions to this board and others, and your thoughtful and comoprehensive research. May we all prosper here, a very good board indeed.
I have the LEHKQ as a CT, the LEHDQ (hard to get and not traded every day), more speculative but double the face value of the K's), and my favorite is LEHPQ, with $1,000 face value. The WAMPQ's have done very well and the LEHPQ is similar. I bought the Lehmans more than a year ago, when I bought the WAMUs. I think there is a strong possibility that the Lehman commons will survive and pay out, making the CTs and preferreds very likely. Finally, Lehman has the big plus of having the top restructuring firm, Alvarez and Marsal, who have done great jobs in other big banruptcies and restructurings. There is no question that the CTs are the safest, but I tend to err on the speculative side.
I asked this board a question about JAlSY very early on and only had one response. I later made another post and received a private message from a poster here thanking me for the reminder. We both invested and both made good money. We were pretty lucky.
Trailblazin, I agree with many of your points. However, the Lehmans usually have a large spread, and if you want to get them you usually have to pay the ask. In the long run, I believe it is worth it just so you can have some shares, if the stock performs as we think it will.
Kristine, welcome to the board and you will fit in just fine. Don't worry about being too late to the party. I felt that way initially and that has not proven to be true. I am pretty new here and have been accumulating almost daily, mostly at the ask and sometimes at the highest price of the day. So far, and I expect it to continue, I am way up on my purchases. Listen to Monk, he is the leader, and he and the others here will give you the support and confidence that all of us need. I'll give you another Person Mark for your courage, honesty, and good sense in joining us. Believe me, we have all been where you are and your fortunes are about to improve, if you listen to Monk. Mine have.
I couldn't be happier, Ex., thanks for asking. I still take inspiration from your history. I've diligently applied the lessons from the Monkinar, have been steadily accumulating even at higher and higher prices, and am not green with envy, just very green. I think we all are and am happy for everybody. The other stock has been berry berry good to me also, like they used to say on SNL.
Lol, the only ones we have to be worried about regarding hanging are the ones that didn't buy, even today.
I agree that being tight-lipped can be a good sign. However, I dont think there would be anything wrong with JS responding something like, "I'm not at liberty to give out any information at this time." Then we wouldn't have so many investors feeling ignored or disrespected. I remain hopeful and cautiously bullish in the long run.
Monk, you are a modest man.
Dred, good posts. The real investigative journalist in the WAMU case is Kirsten Grind of the Puget Sound Business Journal. She is a true heroine and should receive a Pulitzer Prize, as several on this board have already noted. Another heroine is Joy on the EC.
Triple bottom intraday at .07 on chart, hopefully good support.
After the close on Friday would probably be better because of market selling on Friday due to the three day weekend.
YW, Lone. I agree and have noticed that some of the most successful investors here and on other boards keep averaging up on the good stocks.
Thanks, Connie, we boarded the right train.
Could be flippers from the Ihub Boards alerts traders. I think many of us have learned the hard way not to do that. The big volume helps our chart.
Is this the foreplay before Valentine's Day?
Lone, very inspirational post. Heard good things about you in the Monkinar, and appreciate your work on this board. I too believe in Monk and his integrity and methods. Am on my way to my financial goals through him and his teachings. The keys are patience, trust and confidence. Hope to do nearly as well as you, but in the much longer run since I started much later. But, it's all good. A person mark for you, especially for being so open. Good luck to all of us on this board, I think we are going to do great here.
GM Densters, Stock hanging in, like most of us. Good stock behavior, good luck to us all.
GM BOard, stock hanging in there, like most of us. Good luck to us all, and thank you, Monk.
Gm Board, another great day, lots of volume, great chart, and Monk. A good trifecta.
VIONQ acting very poorly today, Apparently it doesn't look good for common recovery.
It is my understanding that the delisting is just from the Tokyo exchange. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Opinions on VIONQ would be welcomed. Interesting news today on a cervical cancer drug. There was a negative opinion on the stock last month regarding common stock recovery in the BK. So, pros and cons, as usual.
I agree with you on most of your points, but I doubt that the uplisting will be done that soon. Regardless, the other possible announcements should be more than adequate.
Ex, I guess we're just a group of contrarians
Better for us Monksters, Mr. Painter
Increasing volume day after day is key here. Very bullish.
