AMRN's vascepa may reduce post immunization inflammation - may help to prevent covid - also may help to delay Alzheimers - already known to reduce CAD and CVA
Looks like two were granted
Raf .... what is the implication of this with respect to AMRN ?
In January of 2019 stock price was $13 analyst consensus on stock price was $34 - IF US market is restored there is no reason this stock should not climb into the high 20's low 30s for CAD indication alone. If Vascepa shows success with Alzheimers or Covid that will be icing on the cake and should push stock value well into the 40's - yet we are dealing with AMRN ....
Been hammering Express scripts - maybe getting somewhere ...finally ... but only 30 pills when they will take if for the rest of their life - allows them to extract three copays from patient instead of one !!
Real NIce JASBG !!
Stilness who are aglos ?
If we show a reduction of Beta amyloid - FDA will ask for outcomes study ..just like they did for CAD indication
Well Ziploc what AMRN should do is tell the SC - they will make certain that HIKMA and other generic producers have enough EPA to meet the legal use of such - MARINE Indications ( Trigs >500) but not a drop moire . AMRN looks magnanimous while at the saME time eclipsing illegal infringement
Perhaps DHA interferes with absorption of EPA
An absolute embarrassment - she should be removed immediately - she is paid to make scientific decisions NOT to advance a companies financial interests
Pull the lobe back and down will straighten out the canal dont shoot the tube off ....
This is what happens when you appoint people based on the right flavor instead of capability
yes one could start connecting these dots as on the surface seem totally unrelated - yet there must be a correlation -
Well now they are running up against organized crime ...
I truly do find this hilarious the unions are bringing suit regarding a matter that might compromise about 0.00001% of their health care costs ... WHY ?
looks like its regarding supply monopoly where they can again come out and say they dont have enough supply to break the law and infringe
Just another spoiled NY union

Yes Rosemount I wanted to look a that because I seem to remember questioning why she was holding at $35 post Du

In JUne of 2020 she said $35
Would be interesting if one week of Vascepa post immunization reduces the incidence
WE have major issues of unfairness in health care . FOr example grandma comes into my office and occupies 45 minutes of my time knows none of the meds she is on has 15 complaints and I get maybe $70 - I cant charge a room fee yet ER's charge room fees to cover nurses lights electricity taxes etc ...odd I have all these things why dont I get a room fee? I lose money on granmas visit. I had a patient seen at Dartmouth as an outpatient spent ten minutes in an exam room that he said was less better equipped than mine and got charged $450 for the room fee !!! If I could charge room fees at that rate I would make 5 million dollars a year just on room fees. WE provide Urgent care at my office often doing more than urgent care facilities asI use to be an ER Doc - that ear flush maybe would have cost $75 at my office and probably would have had his health maintenance reviewed at the same time - also would have instructed him to put baby oil in the ear after each shower ) softens the wax then once a week irrigate with bulb syringe and may not need my services anymore
Are insurance companies giving push back and asking to fill out PA stating they cannot swallow the 1 gram caps ?
JT erroneously believes that KM intends to be a dairy farmer and came to AMRN to learn how to milk a cash cow like he did .....
JUst finished a book on Family Wealth - fascinating read - the gentleman makes the ff point.
Stocks are often money raised to simply pay executives handsome bonuses . If the business were profitable they wouldn't need to expend millions of dollars on lawyers and consultants to take the company public.
WOw sort of describes AMRN
Yes I understand that money has to be raised for scientific studies infrastructure expansion etc so this is not always true yet if execs were truly just interested in success of the company - like a private family business - they would never drain resources while the company is a financial failure
Thanks LTRO - I just sent them a long email explaining insurance company hassle with vascepa -
I sent t the first person below . It would be great if other docs / patients could write the remaining two

Todays laugh - just had a tech put a patient in and she had an interesting disease process what do you call it when a Saint sins ?
Immaculate degeneration ( I think she meant macular )
Perhaps the SC is not the fat lady ?
Its not over till the fat lady (man) sings
HA yes dont even get me going - I advised all of my children to stay out of medicine - I use to teach students but stopped after one asked me would you do this again and I told him no way ... I began to advise students that you should chose medicine only if you perceive it as a calling - like being a minister or priest - albeit the younger generation has little of the commitment that we had and thus have much easier lives than being consumed by the needy
Agree Rosemount ... sometime when you step back and look at this entire scenario it makes the keystone cops look like a seal team ....
AS we all know we have a landmark study revealing benefit in the #1 killer of adults - This is NOT a landmark study for some esoteric disease
SO we have a product that by all means should be a booming success - it should almost match the statin market - lipitor was the most financially successful medication - I think we can all agree we have a situation with IMMENSE potential
That potential however is not being realized - whether it be bad luck, BP manipulation, incompetence of management or most likely a combination of all three it matters not to us as SH.
Hopefully KM will infuse this company with new capabilities and energy hold people responsible for performance update marketing aggressively defend and attack those that attempt to take what is rightfully AMRN's and restore SP to its previous potential of $26 or higher
Maybe generics realize its not a small pie if they can infringe on REDUCE- IT and whatever else is in the pipeline - SUpply is adequate for MARINE Indication - but they want supply for REDUCE IT
Yes I remember that movie hilarious but true ... part of the issue is brain drain to other fields - if you go back 100 years 20% of people or less went to university and brain power was put into medicine law engineering chemistry physics biology etc - now we have so many other area that suck brain power out - leaving less for the medical arena. Tragedy is a lot of this brain power is going into business to make money instead of medicine to help people ...
Does anyone else find it odd that Nissen thinks mineral oil can induce CAD but believes DHA is harmless ?
Entire problem is the educational system. I was a chemistry major spent four years learning stuff I never use - I must have done the KREBS cycle 35 times - why ? I can tell you so many storie - I interviewed candidates for a midlevel position after having gotten burnt with one who couldnt make sense of greater and lesser signs. I decided to ask simple questions - 14 interviewees all new grads. Mr x is a diabetic and on maximum dosage of Glucophage his blood sugar is not controlled - what would you do next -
12 of the 14 could not even name another diabetic med - Gods honest truth - why - well the people teaching them have them memorizing 1500 meds many of which you will NEVER use - same is true of many other courses. You should be able to produce a competent doc in 6 years . I remember the 36 hour shifts - useless no one learned doing that.
Yet its all over - I just learned of a teacher in grade school that could not reduce fractions - how do you graduate grade school no less high scholl no less college and not be able to reduce fractions !!! but ask these bimbos about the kardashians and they can recite every nuance
As I think about this my guess is KM has other avenues lined up for Vascepa but of course with the current loss of market to HIKMA why would anyone announce any such possibility until such time that it is clear whether your patents will be infringed upon - who knows they could have an amazing result that they have to hold back because a company who has expended zero dollars in research monies would be allowed to profiteer off of such - what a tragedy for humankind ...
Yes Hayward I was thinking the same thing I expected a bit of a down day - seems like we may be gathering some momentum !
Could KM's statement be a subtle indicator that COVID or other studies are + or that further data analysis from REDUCE IT is revealing more and better information ie is he alluding to expansion of indications ?
I am concerned ...diversification ??? The first med although has great science has been a total flop in being marketed - how about we take the block buster potential that is real and make money off that first before we go on to diversify !
Why does anyone think its odd to invite AMRN to talk at GS even though they have been downgraded - I would think they would be open to listening to the science understanding the law suits etc to see if there is an investment opportunity ...
