A reminder, not that it's needed, this year is the 50th anniversary of the release of the great Stevie Wonder album, Talking Book.
And on it the unsurpassed protest song, Big Brother, in which he sings the lines,
"My name is secluded
we live in a house the size of a matchbox,
roaches live with us wall to wall.
You killed all our leaders,
I don't even have to do nothing to you
You cause you own country to fall"
Onward and upward.
Thanks.
Interesting, I hadn't seen that - so apparently you can teach an old dog new tricks.
Lucky you, living in Italy, now would be another excellent time to be living there.
Biden was particularly bad in the Thomas hearings, too, I only voted for him in 2020 because I had to.
You misremember the Thomas hearings. A graduate of Yale Law School, he denied ever, not once, having a discussion with anyone about Roe vs. Wade or abortion, in general. This might not be able to be proven as a lie, but, obviously, a total fiction.
Roberts kept mentioning "stare decisis" in his hearing, in answer to almost anything including Roe. Also, an obvious lie, unless he's claiming that since then his views have evolved - at the age of 60, or later.

OK, one last thing (from my end. possibly) about Catholics and abortion. That is to remind you that President Biden is a practicing Catholic and very pro-choice.

The effects of climate change are already being felt:

Just because it's being ignored doesn't mean it's not happening:

Try comparing the rates for homeowners' flood insurance in coastal areas to what they were a few years ago.
There's a theory going around that Russian invaded Ukraine because climate change has already destroyed a good portion of Russia's farmlands. The permafrost that covers 2/3 of the country has already melted and the other arable land is being destroyed by extreme heat and fires.

Not only that but also, obviously, we have third world maternity death rates, life expectancy, public education, medical services, environmental regulations, etc.
My wife and I have 5 younger cousins, all 40-ish & all brainiacs, who moved to various places in Europe a few years ago and aren't coming back. Which is our loss, it's like we're India or Nigeria, now, losing some of our best minds to places with better opportunities and life styles.
Meanwhile we have a surging population of ignoramuses who are internet experts on pandemics, climate change, and the Deep State. But, we got the guns!
You seem to be advocating a straight ticket of ignoring consensus medical opinion. Whether it's masks, covid vaccines, pregnant women's health issues, and now, this. In all these things, you know better than the professionals.
Tell 'ya what. Next time someone in your family is sick or needs an operation, forget going to any doctors, have them come to you and you deal with it, since you're a medical expert.
I think that concentrating on the judges Catholicism is maybe wrong footed, although the fear of Dominionism seems well founded. Several profoundly Catholic countries around the world have loosened abortion restrictions in the past few years

A potentially interesting case is brewing in Florida right now.

Stop, polls of climate scientists are equal to those who people you cited? You must be joking or, in the past few days, have lost your mind.

It's not like election lies, it's the actual opposite. Please.
No fan of MTG here, but I very much doubt that she and her husband are actually making these trades. She's clearly not smart enough and anyone who would be married to her is no genius either.
I'd bet they have their money in actively managed institutional accounts and equity analysts in those joints know what they're doing and have access to all sorts of info that we don't.
MTG's father was rich and I guess she is too.
Turning people in for going across borders was last codified in the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850.
"Sooner or later, everything old is new again" - Stephen King.
It's clear that Thomas, Gorsuch, Kavenaugh, Roberts, and Barrett all committed perjury during their hearings to sit on the Supreme Court. It's a shame they won't be prosecuted for that, ala Bill Clinton.
Because we're now seeing, more clearly than ever, that the rich and powerful, i.e., Trump, those Supremes, big banks, Congressional insurrection supporters, can commit crimes with no consequences, crimes that would most likely land the rest of us in jail.

America continues on the road to cultural third world status. Meanwhile the rest of the world is moving on:

It's funny, although not hah hah, that the conservatives have been on a years long tirade about a Deep State and government trying to control their lives. All the while, that seems to have been, actually, their own game plan.
Next up, a re-ban on same sex marriage, contraception, and, I'm sure, then, thinking sexy thoughts.
Notice that Thomas doesn't mention Loving vs Virginia, which is odd since inter-racial marriage isn't a right that's stipulated in the Constitution. These are cowardly activists hiding behind the interpretation of the Constitution that fits whatever agendas they're adopting at the time.
We are being ruled by an unelected religious minority.
This is only going to send abortions back to the back alleys.
I'll bet you also believe that the Volstead Act eliminated the production and consumption of alcohol.

Ok, sorry, I did not realize that you're mentally handicapped.
A 14 year old girl who gets raped is irresponsible and should set up and finance travel to a different state for an abortion?
Clearly, adult women aren't a big part of your life.
A truly disgraceful and disgusting post.
Any government that's empowered to tell women they can't have an abortion, is also empowered to tell them they must have one.
Can't you shit- for- brains people understand that this doesn't end abortions, it only ends safe abortions.
Average CEO compensation for publicly traded companies in America is about 4% of revenues. Kay's is over 100%.
Interesting series of posts. Maybe Garland's people at the DOJ told him to go away somewhere and let them do the work of making cases against the Trump Crime Family, he's delegated to them. You know, like when your spouse tells you to get out of the kitchen and let them finish dinner without any distractions.
It does seem like his time could be better spent here, but what do we know, maybe Biden specifically requested he go there for whatever reasons.
I didn't grow up as a JFK fan, I was at an impressionable age when he was President and my parents strongly disliked his family. That being said, did he have those affairs or was he like some frat boy bragging about screwing girls who actually couldn't stand being in the same room with him. A lot of the stuff in your link seems to have been rumored or unverified. And just like there are probably a lot more women who said they screwed Mick Jagger than actually did, who knows?
https://painopolis.com/jfk-a-profile-in-pain/
He also had Addison's and there's this:
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/221721979_Sexual_Dysfunctions_in_Men_Affected_by_Autoimmune_Addison's_Disease_Before_and_After_Short-Term_Gluco-_and_Mineralocorticoid_Replacement_Therapy
"Interestingly, insufficient production of glucocorticoids and mineralocorticoids of patients with autoimmune Addison's disease causes sexual dysfunction including ED [135]."
I have no idea if the hormonal replacement therapies or whatever they are were available in his day. I skinny dipped with a lot of women while in college and, unfortunately had sex with a tiny to none number of them.
Interesting that conservatives want the Supreme Court to overturn Roe so that it reverts back to the states to make their own laws about it.
While, at the same time, taking away the states' rights to enact their own gun laws.
I guess they just want what they want.
And speaking of Trump, don't forget the hearings today at 2:30.
I've heard it about JFK both that he was a ladies man, but also that his back was so messed up from the war and he was in such pain that he wouldn't have been able to perform.
I do think your bit about what women want is slightly dated, hook up culture goes both ways these days. Plus groupies, etc.
I've also read that John McCain's wife had a boyfriend and they used to be out and about together in AZ while the Sen. was in DC. And Melania, too, rumored to have a steady boyfriend of a few years and who can blame her? Just the thought of that fat orange haired thing naked would be enough to propel a woman into another man's arms.
Never heard that about wasp and hornet spray but it seems that would do the trick. I have some dog mace on hand and believe that would work just fine, as would bear repellent.
I believe you completely. What I was trying to get at was that if the intruder had heard a dog barking he would have probably gone on to the next house. No one wants to break into a house in which the inhabitants have been obviously awakened. Unless they're a Daniel Silva character.
I'm 71, too, and was raised without guns my whole life. I live in one of those so-called dangerous shit hole Democrat run cities and yet have never been attacked or threatened, exactly like all of my friends and relatives.
I really cannot fathom why people need handguns, it's hard for me to understand why they're so afraid that they have to carry one all the time. Maybe it's the media's / television's doing? Can't figure why Americans are so fearful. Racism?
Home protection, I sort of get, in case of a so-called home invasion. But, unless you're known to have large amounts of cash sitting around and there are thieves determined to get specifically you, a nice medium to big sized dog would do the trick, too. And dogs are way better companions than guns and can never be taken away and used against you.
I worked with Bill Clinton one day in 2008 during Hillary's first campaign for the Pres. nomination. The man oozed charisma like no one else I've ever met, which made it hard for me to believe those couple of women who claimed he raped or otherwise sexually assaulted them.
A lot of women apparently like having sex with rich and powerful and famous men, not sure I'd be able to actually remain on the straight and narrow if I had those types of temptations. You left out GHW Bush, who was rumored to have had a girlfriend he stayed with in a townhouse in Georgetown, while the ravishing Babs was back in Texas.
Obama was the exception, as you point out, but, in fairness, I believe W was one, too.
Actually, he was impeached for perjury, which was legit. The problem was that the investigation was supposed to be into the Whitewater real estate deal but then Starr went off the rails.
People did go to jail about Whitewater, but they couldn't get anything on Clinton so they just kept working it until the slime ball Tripp gave him the goods about Monica's dress.
Starr turned out to be a typical Republican hypocrite about sex which came fully to light when he was at Baylor:

Give Texas back to Mexico. Let it pay for Texans' Medicare and port and airport and interstate maintenance. Also, who's gonna pay for this:

Would love for them to need passports to get into America and pay their own debts. This, too, where a higher number is worse:

And best of all, no more Cruz, Abbot, and the rest of the neanderthals in the Texas GOP.
Right, clock is winding down on Trump Crime Family indictments.
You do know Dear Leader presided over the worst economy since the Great Depression?
Keep telling lies, I'm sure some fools will believe them. Come to think of it, you're a fool who believes them.
He's a clown. Other countries pay far more for gasoline at the pump, but don't have this:
https://spendmenot.com/blog/medical-bankruptcy-statistics/
What's a Leftist? The people that voted 3M more for Hillary and 6M more for Biden? We're barely Centrists, in any other country we'd be right of center. You have no idea what Leftists are. Midterms, shmidterms, enjoy the 19th century.
You're exhausting and won't answer direct questions. Would it be too much to ask you to go away to maybe somewhere you can ramble on with like minded twits?
I mean, are you really being paid enough to endure this type of abuse in the service of trying to divide Americans? The worst thing anyone can do, Republican or Democrat, is to follow your policy prescriptions. As a rule, you bring nothing to any discussions, certainly not any facts, although occasionally a LOL.
Short squeeze, a-hole, enjoy your misery, I know the rest of us will. Oh, right, you're a stock market genius who made a fortune shorting this at its high.
You can't be this dumb, surely your elementary school age children are writing posts like this under your name.
They got within, what, 40 feet of Pence and you think we should just laugh it off like some silent comedy reel? Hey, angry mobs want to hang the VP and kill the Speaker of the House all the time, har har!
No shots fired but loads of bombs and munitions stashed offsite for use when Dear Leader declared martial law. You can't underplay what happened, it was a scary and historically unique event, whose aim was to subvert American democracy.
In theory. Personally, I'd still be nervous about contractors or developers cutting corners to save money.

ok, got it, here's hoping.
As an aside, a few years ago I was working at a bank, a big one that owned a tower that housed its operations on about the first 25 floors. I found that the CEO's large and very nice office was on the 12th floor and asked why it wasn't higher, on a floor with a more commanding view.
They told me that in the old days, fire ladders only reached the 12th floor and the tradition remains that the head honcho's office was only ever that high up.
How high up do fire truck ladders reach? What happens if there's a massive fire on, say, the 60th floor and the stairways are impassable. You're usually instructed not to use elevators in case of fires, to begin with, this seems like it might be a shit show in the making.

As a friend once said, if you walk around with your dick hanging out of your pants all the time, you can't be surprised when it gets caught in the zipper.
