What happened to the OXY sale?
For the three and six month period ending June 30, 2011, revenues of P20 include fuel sales from the Niagara Falls, New York facility of $47,480 revenue from sale of processed waste product (primarily paper fibre) of $33,621 and incidental revenue from sale of products of $4,914.
Discontinued operation - Pak-it Business
In 2009, the Company acquired 100% of the membership interests of Pak-it, which manufactures cleaning chemicals, and owns a patent that allows for the delivery of cleaning chemicals in a water-soluble film package used mainly in institutional and industrial cleaning operations. Pak-it operates out of a leased manufacturing facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The acquisition of Pak-it was primarily driven by the Company’s desire to access Pak-it’s unique patents, and the fact that the Company could potentially utilize Pak-it’s chemical expertise to produce the proprietary P2O catalyst in-house. Secondarily, the Company believed Pak-it was undervalued due to inefficient internal controls and operating procedures arising from an outdated and inadequate accounting system, various ineffective production processes, and an over extended product line. Pak-it’s R&D department continues to support Plastic2Oil by developing and testing fuel additives, optimizations, and other research support in the process.
25
Following the acquisition, the Company analyzed Pak-it’s operations and began a focus on restructuring Pak-it’s internal controls and procedures. Several operational policies were changed or implemented to increase production efficiencies and reduce costs including; product line consolidation, standardized packaging, revised sales policies and product pricing, and a restructuring of the workforce. Accounting procedures needed an upgrade in order for Pak-it to increase production capacity, but they were also necessary for the Company to efficiently meet its financial reporting obligations.
Despite these measures actual and anticipated revenue and profitability performance at Pak-it failed to meet expectations and the Company determined that a selective divesture of Pak-it’s assets was warranted in order to focus on its P2O segment. During the second quarter, sale criteria in respect of certain assets of Pak-it was developed and active marketing commenced to sell these assets.
I tried it in paint. No problems. If you are talking about the actual date and copy no that have been typed in on the cert, yes, different typeset. The 9,000,000 was part of the certificate for that pipe.
Catalyst-smatalist....everybody uses catalysts. Patents vs secrets recipes? I'll take patents. Keepin' it real.
http://www.chinookenergy.com/secondary.asp?pageID=13
the conditioned ultra-clean syngas is chemically transformed or "recombined" into different fuel type and according to the catalyst and process used.
Patenta-smatents....the catalyst....that's JBI's power.....and it will NEVER be patented.....mechanical patents will be filed as needed by the company....just sayin'/i]
You would assume that the patents were part of the deal. All filings say Pak-It owns them.
In the 10K/A for 2009, I did find a listing for "Patents, Net" $10,014 Page 25
http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1381105/000121390010002805/f10ka2009_jbi.htm
Then on page 51 of the 10K for 2010 they are not listed as patents but: Intangible, net (2) Previously stated $10,014 Increase 3,081,573
Note 2: 2.
Adjustment reflects the reclassification of intangible assets from goodwill relating to the business combinations of Pak-It and Javaco based upon the purchase price allocation as determined by independent third party appraisals and inclusion of deferred income taxes resulting from intangible assets in the purchase price allocation.
3.
Adjustment reflects the net adjustment of deferred tax impact resulting from intangible assets noted in (2) and the amortization of those assets.
Licenses, Patents and Trademarks
Pak-It uses patented technology to deliver liquid cleaner in a water-soluble sachet. The products are fully biodegradable and much easier to ship than bulky liquid products. The user simply adds water to the container without measuring or cutting the Pak-It. JBI has a patent related to its Data Business, for the recovery of tape information. Also, JBI is in the process of filing 5 separate patents for its Plastic2Oil Processor.
The late 10Q should have an entire rewrite of the License & Patent section based on the changes on the website. If the filing still states "JBI has a patent related to its Data Business, for the recovery of tape information" - IMO it's deception and time for someone to contact the USPTO.
10Q is due out today. Maybe the patent numbers will be there? What do you think?
These patents have not been assigned to JBI.

RED FLAG?!?!? From the article that's been highly touted this weekend.
"The costs involved with Plastic 2 Oil’s process have not been publicly released (and may never be), and that may be the only red flag here – since, if the conversion process is hugely expensive than the end product will also be costly. "

JBI's system costs a small fraction of what major competitors charge for their technology, and our efficiency and output is greater.
What do you think the cost per pound will be to process that? Separation, labor, selling costs?
I read on another board that the ragger tail that is produced by Rock Tenns mills is galvanized metal/steel commanding 15 cents a pound in scrap prices
No, it means JBII has no patents. It means that no patents have been granted to, or assigned to, JBII. It is conclusive.
Therefore, when anyone says that JBII has a patent, they are lying. That is a fact. That is proven by the absence of any patent in the government databases, both in the United States, and in the international (WIPO) databases.
JBI states they have a patent (not a patent pending, not a patent application)in their last 10K. Filed with the SEC. Signed by John Bordynuik.
Typo? No way. This paragraph on page 15 of the 10/KA filed 7/18/2011 very clear:

JBI, Inc. Plastic2Oil Process Commences Commercial Operation
THOROLD, Ontario, Dec. 15, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today, JBI, Inc. (JBI) (OTCQX:JBII) announces that it has entered into a formal Consent Order with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Region 9, which will allow the Company to immediately run its Plastic2Oil process commercially and begin construction of an additional processor at its Niagara Falls, New York P2O facility.
http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1381105/000121390010005243/f8k121510_jbi.htm
The company signed off on an SEC filing stating they have this patent. If they are lying about this, what else? Perhaps the Wells Notice and Class Action lawsuit are deserved.
Please keep up your good work looking for that patent number.
That patent number on the tape recovery system is important information
Can you find the DATA patent listed in the last 10K/A filed 7/18 on any patent website? This is not an error on the 10K as this section has been rewritten since the previous filing to add information regarding the process of filing 5 applications. IMO FALSE & MISLEADING. If you can point me to a patent number and link, we won't have to go over this again and again.

We've been over this and over this. Due to the 18 month time lag we can only say they were not appied for 18 months ago.
Furthermore, since it clearly states on the JBI web site that patents are pending we can assume they are.
Patent pending.
Look it up.
I agree. They've taken the simple JBI process many steps further. Ragger tail waste would be no problem for this system.
In reading their website, it seems that part of the process is like JBI, using a catalyst and adding additives during the process. But they've added the ability to dump anything into their machine without any pre separation. Nice.
No Patents for P20, JBI, Plastic2Oil, The Bordynuik Process(tape reading). No patent assignments to P20, JBI, Plastic2Oil. No patent applications posted for JBI, Bordynuik, P20, Plastic2Oil. Not in CIPO (Canada) or USPTO (United States)

Radiation Detector Patent issued in 2006 to John Bordynuik:

This is the ONLY patent. It is not assigned to any entity.
The article clearly said "JBI patented the P2O technology". The article did not say JBI has a patent pending on the P2O technology. There is a huge difference thus making it FALSE & MISLEADING.
Once again, someone is feeding these bloggers false & misleading information.
JBI patented the Plastic 2 Oil technology
http://www.oilandgaschronicle.com/tag/plastic/
And from the current filed CA lawsuit:
The Complaint alleges that throughout the Class Period defendants knew or recklessly disregarded that their public statements concerning JBI's business, operations and prospects were materially false and misleading
Raw - did you find that patent number for the data patent JBI has listed in their filings? Remember? You said you had called the company and got it but weren't at home when asked about it earlier. That would certainly put this issue to bed. Did the dog eat it?
Great Link! Applying for AMEX, buying another company, plastic bottles & tires can be processed - I can even heat my house with my own processor! Can you show me when these articles were published? Must have been very recently, JB is wearing a shirt I saw him wearing earlier this year.
JBI Inc., which trades on the OTC under the stock symbol JBII, is buying a U.S. air filtration and custom air ventilation company that has worked with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, as well as numerous federal agencies and organizations within the health care industry. This new acquisition will allow JBI, Inc. to recycle medical waste plastic through its P2O process.
JBI is currently applying for AMEX (American Stock Exchange). For additional information, visit www.plastic2oil.com, www.jbiglobal.com or www.johnbordynuik.com.
In a large batch continuous-feed processor, the technology can extract one liter of oil from a kilogram of plastic, turning raw unwashed, mixed plastics into fuel. The process itself also proves “green” — in emitting a gas byproduct, the process also creates its own fuel. Plastic bottles, plastic bags, plastic toys and tires — waste products known to fill up landfills — all become a renewable energy similar to biofuel.
JBI, which trades on the OTC market with the stock symbol JBII, is looking for people with manufacturing and farming facilities not running at full capacity to convert into P2O factories. Americans allowing P2O factories to run on their property will receive enough extra fuel from the P2O process to run their household or any onsite business operations. As P2O launches in 2010, JBI, Inc. hopes to establish 2,500 P2O sites in five or six years.

Other companies have been using patented, modular, scalable systems already for making fuel. Here's a company that has been doing it since 2000 in nine countries and four continents.
http://www.chinookenergy.com/secondary.asp?pageID=14
Since other companies are already doing it, what's so genius about John copying their idea?
I think John is a genius for picking up on this concept and applying it to the processor.
They've had permission to sell for more than 8 months. They've PR'd two puny sales(we'll see when the 10Q comes out). They've had permission to build for more than 8 months. What's wrong - can't find any out of work welders?
It took over a year to "ink" the agreement to let JBI get rid of Rock-Tenn's trash. What happened to all the free plastic that was going to be delivered to their doorstep? Now they have to "mine" for it? The billions will be spent by JBI digging up this old crap & cleaning it. If that happens, Rock-Tenn get's free heat and cheap fuel - IF they want it.
How would you know?
Dozens more customers are testing as we speak.
JBI had the resources and the permission to build the second processor nearly a year ago(December)and to commence sales. No one appears to be knocking down doors to buy their fuel. And JBI doesn't seem to be in any sort of hurry to build a second processor to 'enhance cash flow'.
If the tape reading business was supposedly so lucrative, why didn't they continue that for cash flow?
IMO they've sucked Pakit and Javaco dry and have no choice but to sell them off or shut them down. Who at JBI was managing those entities anyway?
$90,000 and 3 weeks to assemble. What's the holdup?
Filing a patent application - 2 years ago? What's the holdup?
From July 2009
already received a response which satisfied me. This is a copy of the email.
We are filing a patent application which is why I have not specifically disclosed the entire embodiment of the invention. We are not going to disclose any proprietary information about our large processor even though we can enjoy a "grace period" for patents in North America because many countries do not honor North America 's grace period. Until our application is filed, we will not disclose an image or detailed information about it. We will be disclosing information about our smaller machine that simulates the larger one (to some degree). This smaller lab machine allows us to experiment with all the variables that affect the larger processor, and without having to process 15 tons of plastics for results. We are receiving a gas chromatograph machine on July 14, 2009, and will report our output then. The smaller machine proves the processing time and abilities which will prove our abilities.
To answer your question about securing the technology: Even with a patent in place, there are those who will not honor one and proceed to copy. China and Japan are always copying North America 's technology. Last time I was in Japan , it was difficult to find something that hadn't been replicated. That said, we will not be patenting the catalysts used in our technology. We are looking to buy a chemical supplier so that we can mask our catalyst composition within its business. Our technology can be secured the same way I have secured my tape drive technology and the same way Coke safeguards their formulas - no disclosure.
From a mechanical perspective, we are not reinventing the wheel. Plastic to furnace oil is being done in 3rd world countries. Their machines massively pollute the environment and exhaust dioxins in many cases. They also use a lot of energy so their systems would not be useful here. They can only run the systems economically because they are paying their workers $0.33/hr or less. -- and that is another reason why you don't see them in the US or Canada .
Our catalyst enables us to run at a lower temperature and crack the plastic into hydrocarbons much faster than is presently being done. This is key to reduce energy costs and labor.
Lastly, I believe it is important to advise you that this all doesn't happen overnight. It takes time to build a solid infrastructure, a plug and play system and put controls in place. The machines cost upwards of $90,000US. Our first large-volume system is being shipped to us on July 10, 2009. In addition it will take approx 6 welders, construction workers, and assemblers about 3 weeks to assemble our first machine. We will document and optimize the process for future franchisees. It's only then that we can build on our growth model. That said, I believe we have the technology and business plan in place to execute it.
We will be disclosing our efficiencies through a demonstration of our small processor shortly after the gas chromatograph arrives.
You may wish to attend our annual meeting that will be announced shortly. A couple of significant investment banks/VC have contacted me about attending our AGM to do DD. That said, we are working _very_ quickly to get the patent application in and the large processor functional.
“ Hi I am a very interested investor but other people and I have a few concerns.”
With respect to this statement, please invest when you are comfortable with our disclosure and technology. We are not VC funded, we have no selling pressure and we are in this for the long-term. Many investors have been to our site and I believe (and have been advised) that most are holding for the long-term so buying in any volume is near impossible. Our NOBO list shows we have in excess of 300 shareholders.

BOD position. Who do you think they'll tap for this? And why so long for the CFO position?
When is JBI going to fill some of their open financial positions? CFO? Audit Committee?
JBI has appointed John Bordynuik (CEO), Dr. Jacob Smith (COO), John Wesson (Independent), and Dr. Robin Bagai (Independent) to the Board of Directors. The Board's Committee Chairs are listed below.
Audit Committee: Vacant (temporarily)
Compensation Committee: John Wesson
Nominating Committee: Dr. Robin Bagai
Consultant Accounting Team
Chief Financial Officer
MEMBERSHIP
The membership of the Audit Committee shall consist of at least three (3) directors who are generally knowledgeable in financial and auditing matters, including at least one (1) member with accounting or related financial management expertise. Each member of the Audit Committee must be financially literate, that is having the ability to read and understand a set of financial statements that present a breadth and level of complexity of accounting issues that are generally comparable to the breadth and complexity of the issues that can reasonably be expected to be raised by the Company’s financial statements. A majority of the members are independent, meaning that the independent members are free of any direct or indirect material relationship with the Company. A material relationship means a relationship that, in the view of the Board, could reasonably interfere with the exercise of the member’s independent judgment. The provisions and requirements of Multilateral Instrument 52-110 “Audit Committee” related to determining the independence of individuals shall apply to members of the Audit Committee.
First they'll issue some lame PR about how they finally found the screws to bolt together another part of processor 2's modular racking, and the only delay now is that they accidentally recycled the actual processor. But hey, the price of steel is great right now. After reading your post, they'll delay the filing until Friday. Since it's pink, a few more days won't matter.
Do you think it's coming out Monday? If it wasn't ready on Friday, the prefered "bad news release after close day", it would be odd it would come out Monday. Maybe after hours Monday? What happens if they miss the Monday filing date, a drop from Pink tier 1 to Pink Tier 5? Not sure how the renamed Pinks work these days.
Sell Monday before the 10Q comes out. IMO the downturn will continue and drop drastically after that.
next week resume the uptrend
Interesting parallels. Exclusive rights?

GETH is showing on the OTCBB. Isn't that a higher tier than OTCQX?
Is the delayed 10Q due out today?
10Q on Friday or Monday?
That's why the "JBI Empire" map is bogus.
The basis for the complaint was information in the 8K filed by JBI. JBI put themselves out there. The Well's notice was not public information.
From the 8K.
On July 14, 2011, the staff of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) Division of Enforcement issued a “Wells Notice” to JBI, Inc., ( the “Company”) indicating that the staff intended to recommend that the SEC file a civil lawsuit alleging that the Company violated certain provisions of the federal securities laws .
There are several issues listed in the 8K which JBI believes the SEC is looking into:
1) Based on communications with the Enforcement staff, the Company believes that the proposed lawsuit relates to the Company’s subsequently restated financial statements for the third quarter of 2009, which were included in its Form 10-Q filed on November 16, 2009
2) and its financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2009, which were included in its 2009 Form 10-K filed on March 31, 2010.
3) The restatement concerned the Company’s valuation of media credits,
4) accounting for certain acquisitions,
5) and equity issuances.
Based on information obtained from the Enforcement staff, the Company believes that the staff may also recommend naming one or more current and former officers of the Company as defendants in the proposed lawsuit.

But I couldn't put diesel in my lawnmower correct?
Think you'll be saying that Tuesday? Post 10Q? (if it's on time)
And something I find interesting is that despite the negative element, the share price keeps creeping higher.
Amazing Volume today!
Gas I could put in my non-diesel car?
