Any ideas what this company is worth with a successful Staples roll out?
Check out this RFID Journal interview with Staples.
An decision will be made for a multi-store roll out in about one month.

Hey, some buying at the Ask. Good sign!
Impressive
Sounds like Staples are going to be on board. Others were also through looking at the setup during the 3 month pilot. I thought I read it was supposed to be 6 weeks? Having Fujitsu in our corner is definitely a huge plus.
Latest Update from IR
Thank you for your recent inquiry.
We have draft releases awaiting customer approval - including announcements of business.
Our preference is to announce meaningful news. Interest among potential customers continues to build.
Sales funnel is building - including some other big customers. Certainly many aspects are taking longer because of the size of the customers we are dealing with.
Should not be much longer before we are able to release important news.
Thank you for your continued support.

Hey Smurfgizmo
I still think your gut feeling was right. I'll bet summer holidays has pushed things back a bit. I'm going to also go out on a limb and say this is the month things will turn around for good. Funny enough I had that same gut feeling at the exact same time. Good Luck!
The JavaPro info was in response to your second question
"Also, does anyone know where I can find out what background management has in RFID?"
Welcome
I would read the June 7th press release on ABSY's website to see why there would be no mention on the GD website.
A google search uncovered this:
In late 2005, the Company acquired the assets of JavaPRO Solutions Inc. a technology company with unique expertise in developing specialized software and RFID solutions for retail customers.
This is off ABSY's website:
In 2003, Mr. Frabasile combined his retail and software expertise with evolving RFID technologies and founded JavaPRO Solutions who's assets were acquired by AbsoluteSKY, Inc. in November 2005
Another good read:

It's like waiting for paint to dry on a rainy day
Fujitsu sure are slow to release. Any guesses as to what the news will be? Or how about new potential customers? Fujitsu seems to have a lot of clothing customers. Canadian Tire would seem like a good fit too.
Sounds good to me!
Thanks very much for posting that
I guess the question now is, knowing what we know now would we still buy into the future of this company at the current price? I for one am pleased with the repeated mention of a roll out contract (not pilot) with Staples. They have 270 stores in Canada alone.
RFID has had a slower adoption rate then most figured. Lots of Pilots with good results but not many roll outs, with the exception of Walmart and the DOD.
It's just a matter of time IMHO. My only concern is how deep are ABSY's pockets? Timing is everything.
Hmmm... Does this drop mean news coming?
Buy broken stocks not broken companies.
Stock price does not always mirror company position.
Hey thanks for the info
Wealth and asset management firm Robert W. Baird & Co. has released its RFID Monthly for June. The Staples pilot and ABSY's product are briefly mentioned. Every bit helps.

Any idea where all these shares are coming from on the ask at such a low pps. Maybe you're correct and they are just shuffling shares to create fake volume. Looks like we will have our 8th straight day of above average volume. Why would someone want to sell at .17 now?
Volume picking up nicely :)
Yes as long as the game doesn't get rained out. lol
Thanks Engr
I guess I should have said I've done no trading in this stock only buying. But not in the last couple weeks. I am accumulating on dips using your second suggestion . A couple times I've had limit orders filled for less. Nice when that happens. :) Would love to be a trader and do this full-time but not just yet.
Hang in there
RFID acceptance by the public and business has been slow everywhere and I think that has really pushed back ABSY's target dates. We're only in the first inning IMO.
I was hoping you would give us your insight on the trading going on the last little while. I've done no trading myself although I've been tempted to buy at 15. Seems like someones accumulating here.
I hope so too. Check this out
Here is a response to an email sent to IR today. Roll out contracts on the way it appears.
Thank you for your comments.
We have announced initial installations at Staples and General Dynamics.
Roll out contracts are being finalized. Now that these installations are
complete and have worked 100% since installation (with no service calls)
discussions with other customers are accelerating. You may wish to visit the
media section of our web site for quotes from our customers.
Other news and announcements to come.
Thank you for your continued support.

No but here is more on the Staples pilot
http://storefrontbacktalk.com/story/060807staples.php
It's linked from ABSY's website.
Looks like you called it right
Big spread today
Thanks Engr for your insight
I don't have real-time Level II but I do look at the delayed Level II on otc.com and have noticed for a long time the 100 and 200 share trades at the end of the day that never made any sense to me except to move the pps one way or the other. Commission alone with TD Waterhouse is $29.00 for penny stocks. I also noticed that just days before the March 15th PR and also the Staples news that the pps dropped sharply just before. Like someone was picking up shares on the cheap knowing the news was just about to be released. I got lucky and picked up shares at .155 just two days before the Staples news came out. Thanks again for keeping us informed.
Hey Engr can you explain. Always wanting to learn something new.
In November
There was 1.1 million raised issuing 1.8 million shares at .61 a share.
http://knobias.com/story.htm?eid=3.1.7b15ab1bbf3496afab7bf0de099e688434798146336ba752e7e82db84f12ab8...
But I'm assuming they are referring to the 5 million line of credit they were negotiating for a convertible instrument. Can someone explain to me how this works? Are there trade restrictions when you acquire shares this way?
I think your right
The majority buyers are probably people in the know and people averaging down. But the March PR did say this, "Mr. Frabasile added that as the noted developments reach fruition, he has firm plans to increase public and investor relations initiatives with the objective of building the Company's financial visibility, attaining its deserved value and creating maximum return for its shareholders." So far the March PR has been accurate.
Hard to say from that press release how big or little this contract is but once again they have their foot in the door. Another huge door... It's a pretty versatile product they have.
It answered many questions I had
We should really be thanking Mary Catherine O'Connor at RFID journal for that article as she was one of the people I emailed the press release to after not seeing it on their website. She obviously followed up by doing her homework first before releasing her story.
RFID Journal has a good article on the Staples pilot
http://www.rfidjournal.com/article/articleview/3353/1/1/
It is Fujitsu Transaction Solutions that has a working relationship with Staples not ABSY. So the news should be put out by Fujitsu not ABSY. Sure they could pay good money to release the news again but why do that. Fujitsu even mentions ABSY and their product in the headline of their news release. Sounds like they have a good relationship. Yes ABSY has been quiet with PR this year but in this case it looks like they have been waiting for Fujitsu to release. Legally all they could do was hint that news would be released soon.
Thanks for the quick reply.
I just cancelled that order. I put that order between the bid and ask to see what would happen. And have some spending money for the weekend if it filled. lol Thanks again. I need to get level II.
Thanks for the info Engr
Can you do me a favor and tell me if you see a block of 4000 with an ask of 0.195? I placed it with TD Waterhouse and I'm curious if they're selling the order to NITE or one of the other order takers.
I also posted on the Staples Yahoo message board this morning. Not trying to pump this just trying to making people aware. As long as postings don't come off as pumper trash then people will read them. I'm sure we can all think of a few places to post the news release. Hey MrT11 I have an almost identical position to you in this stock. Will sell a little if we double but I this has the potential be a great long term investment.
Wow that was pathetic
Didn't see the news release on any of the RFID websites today so I emailed them a copy. Looks like we have to do are own PR.
Yes ENGR. I agree.
The news this morning was released by Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc not by ABSY. That may be the reason for the long delay. It's not even posted on ABSY's website yet. Regardless this is good news. Listened to Staples earnings call on Tuesday as I had a hunch they might be a potential customer. They had said the years forecast will be flat but will continue with current project funding to increase efficiencies. In my opinion, this will spread to all 270 Canadian stores fairly quickly first and hopefully the US after that.
Is the yard sale over?
My thinking on this is that for someone to sink 1.1 million into a company that's stock is sinking has to be in the know. Hopefully things are just taking longer than expected. Who knows? But I'm going to hold longer.
Can someone clear this up for me. Back in in Nov 2006 the Company raised $1.1 Million through Private Placement. 1.8m shares @ .61/share. At that time the stock was trading between .25 and .45/share. Why did the investor pay so much when they were cheaper bought on the market? Is it because they would have run up the price purchasing that many shares? More importantly they must have thought the share price is way undervalued. :) Staying long...
