I think the reference was to pic 2 on the link. It shows our kiln in the distance. Aka pizza oven
Nice to see the project is still moving forward :)
Interesting new photo out of Ft Union..
Anyone know if there was room for stairs on the end of our slab? I'm trying to match up these photos and it appears the kiln is just out of view to the left on the one shown in the article.

It's mentioned a couple times on page 2. Once right before Wyoming New Power and once after.
The infamous Kiln to enhance the pilot plant we'd never see, along with the mention of WNP we'd never hear of again..
Imagine that :)
Correct! A 20th of a Century ago. And here's 1 from about 1/3 of that..
Appears to me like things are still a go! Somewhat behind schedule as usual..

Sorry. I wasn't around when Doug Hague ran the company. Nor have I studied his tenure.
If you'd like to continue, please explain what happened.
Also in April 2017 there were several presentations by UW and associates linked here on the ECED website
http://www.energycapitaled.com/about/success-stories-and-news-articles/
These pages show direction of emerging coal to products taking place within the State. One cites CCTI's ability to achieve higher BTU's. Given the fact CCTI was approached by the DOE at/near the same time as these presentations on the potential of Wyoming's coal future. Also the "fact" the DOE connected CCTI and UW after reviewing results. I'm optimistic the move to Wyoming was strategic in nature to the specific project taking place at Ft Union.
Good luck to all!
In April 2017 CCTI resumed testing at request of the DOE
In Oct of the same year, CCTI signed the MOU with UW.
IMO there must have been something positive in the testing that was worth signing the MOU for further research and development. It is also my opinion UW was successful on improving the technology in the lab. Otherwise, I doubt we would have seen the delivery of the kiln. Nor the extent of the schools funding.
For those interested. Here's a video that sheds some light on the "partnership" between CCTI and UW.
Good question. The reason I say likely is because there's a project taking place at Fort Union in coordination with ECED and the University of Wyoming.
The project has to do with a pilot plant beneficiating coal while extracting byproducts etc combined with CCUS technologies. CCTC was approached by UW years ago for further research/development. CCTC has since moved to Fort Union, signed an MOU with ECED, and was supplied a $1.3MM rotary kiln through their collaboration with UW.
I've been researching this for several years. I have yet to find another clean coal technology who was approached by UW or ECED after having a functional pilot plant with validated test results by UW. Let alone, one located/moved to the epicenter outside Gillette, WY.
Speaking of ECED's website
If you look at the bottom of their BoD page, you'll see their long term strategic -DRIVE- plan. Reading through the plan, you can see where CCTC was likely identified, recruited, and partnered with. Also potentially in development with a NEW or North East Wyoming alliance. Wyoming NEW Power maybe??
In my estimation ECED is on track to accomplish this drive. A major step (The WyIC) is scheduled to open this summer. That could kick off Goal 5 aka "Awesome" projects!

More CCTC related posts can be found on their success stories page. As well as their projects and activities page linked on the "About Us" tab.
Okay, White Coal explain something to me.
I'm not sure that's why SER came along.
According to Mary Anne Alvin at the DOE, certain "clean coal" processes that receive DOE funding must be environmentally benign.
There's a chance the test results were better than (or as) expected. In-turn kickstarting the collaboration with SER, ECED and the State to encompass CCTI's technology into their refining/extraction/CCUS project at/around Ft Union.
Nice to see coal Char move from successful lab tests to Field Testing.

Coal Char is yet another potential revenue stream for CCTC
Seen here:
Q:Since your technology is pre-commercial, can you provide some insight into how you plan to grow revenue? Have you already signed contracts?
A:Initially we will commence with signing license agreements with our clients that will be a $1 per ton upfront fee followed by a $3 per ton royalty fee. We have signed two license agreements. One with Jindal Power and Steel out of India and one with Wyoming New Power out of Wyoming. However, the second-generation plant being assembled in Wyoming will produce char which is a valuable by-product with immediate local demand for it in Wyoming and from the University of Wyoming.
SER = School Of Energy Resources - University Of Wyoming
You can see the correlation here:

My summary of the interview.
Phil was helping CCTI relocate to Wyoming as early as 2016
CCTI is listed as Project Vanderbilt on ECED's website
CCTI has partnered with SER on development after the college validated their claims
SER has since supplied a rotary kiln
Wyoming Innovation Center (next to CCTI) is set to open this summer
NETL will be testing REE extraction their and is also partnered with SER
ETC ETC..
My guess is SER has taken the lead in developing CCTI's coal refining concept by testing and improving their process. When Phil talks about "Opening WyIC this summer, a technology-scale up facility for advanced carbon products utilizing coal and coal by-products as a raw material. A facility a hub where tenants can test and refine new “clean” coal to products made from the region’s Powder River Basin coal". I think there's a solid reason SER approached CCTI shortly after this project kicked off in 2015.
We shall see :)

-The Faces of Carbon Valley: Phil Christopherson-
Phil Christopherson, CEO of Energy Capital Economic Development, has always had a dedication to his profession – to expand and diversify Campbell County, Wyoming’s local economy. Campbell County, branded as the Carbon Valley, is home to Christopherson’s most recent project – the Wyoming Innovation Center (WyIC). Opening this summer, WyIC is a technology-scale up facility for advanced carbon products utilizing coal and coal by-products as a raw material. This facility is a hub where tenants can test and refine new “clean” products made from the region’s Powder River Basin coal. Read more about Christopherson’s experience in the Carbon Valley and how the coal-to-product industry came about. The WyIC provides a space for those products to be scaled up and tested, so that they can be utilized longer term. By developing alternative uses for coal, like we are doing in Carbon Valley and will be doing specifically at the Wyoming Innovation Center, we will help the nation become cleaner and greener and will utilize the vast natural resources that we have in a very efficient manner. There is also new technology constantly evolving that will allow coal to burn in a clean way, which is less harmful to the environment. I’d like to point out that we are not opposed to using coal as a thermal means of generating power – we just want it to be done in a clean and environmentally friendly approach..
..In economic development, 10 years isn’t really a long time. Most projects I’ve worked on take five or six years to get off the ground. That’s certainly the case with the Wyoming Innovation Center. We started this project back in 2015 and now, seven years down the road, we’re just getting this project constructed. Now that we’ve nearly completed construction, I can see a future in the product market. I think in 10 years, we will be nearing the end of the beginning for this project. Coal will most likely still be in decline, and we will be in a community effort to provide hope to Campbell County and other communities. I expect to have had several research projects graduate out of the Wyoming Innovation center that are going into commercial production.
-Federal push for critical minerals could bring indirect boost to Wyoming-
For Wyoming, the country’s top coal-producing state, advancements in the recovery of critical materials from coal and its byproducts — a venture the Wyoming Innovation Center is already looking to explore — could also offer new opportunities.
-American Resources achieves high purity of lithium, nickel and cobalt from recycled EV batteries-
(Oct 2021)
American Resources Corporation has announced that, in conjunction with its sponsored research partnership with Purdue University, it successfully achieved a high purity of lithium, nickel, and cobalt from recycled batteries sourced from the manufacturing process of electric vehicles.
The company said it utilized its displacement chromatography technology to achieve the results -- more than 99.5% purity.
Why weren't we talking about this in 2018 when I brought it up in post 32503
Instead it was swept under the rug.
Seems a bit more obvious now I guess.
Go figure..
Looking for a DCB Monday. Good luck!
Hey white
Could you imagine if big news came out on wddd and you heard something may be brewing before hand and you were not in the stock then it had a huge move up
Oh my
Thanks for sharing. Listening to this, starting from the you mentioned is extremely informative.
Unfortunately the claim is not novel, sufficient or specific in parameters.
The patent therefor appears abstract and obvious.
Not looking good :/
-American Resources Corporation Interview to Air on Bloomberg U.S. on the RedChip Money Report(R)-
FISHERS, IN / ACCESSWIRE / February 16, 2022 / American Resources Corporation (NASDAQ:AREC) ("American Resources" or the "Company"), a next generation and socially responsible supplier of rare earth and critical elements, carbon and advanced carbon materials to the new infrastructure and electrification marketplace, today announced that an interview with CEO & Chairman Mark C. Jensen will air on The RedChip Money Report® on Bloomberg TV, February 19th, at 7 p.m. Eastern Time (ET). Bloomberg TV is available in an estimated 73 million homes across the United States.
Thanks for sharing. I'm hoping to ad some relevant news Monday.
Something is brewing at ECED. Quite possibly involving the WyIC.
Stay tuned... Big news coming Monday, January 31!
Exactly! lets hope MSFT doesn't opt to assume liability and clears this legacy with a payout :)
Good Luck!
-AREC is ready to explode-
The set up on the year chart is showing huge bullish breakout potential. Not to mention the company has recently positioned itself to be a major player in the refining process of rare earth. This is a key material necessary for the production of all of our technological advancements ( from EVs to smart watches, etc.) And not to mention, literally, GOING TO THE MOON!
-Recycling plant aims to turn US coal country into rare earth powerhouse-
This week, HG Ventures, an investment arm of The Heritage Group, and American Rare Earth LLC, a subsidiary of the American Resources Corporation (NASDAQ: AREC), announced they are teaming up to scale up the recycling of batteries, magnets and e-waste with the goal of recovering and supplying critical minerals and rare earth metals to US and global markets.
It's hard (or impossible) to know what ever happened with that.
My guess is those talks in-part helped formalize the MOU between CCTC and UW. In 2015 the DOE granted $$ for UW to explore ways to extract rare earths from coal. Later, the University approached CCTC with interest in their technology. In 2017 an MOU was signed surrounding collaboration in maximizing value in Wyoming coal. Things were then moved to Wyoming, and after independently validating CCTC's technology, UW provided a matching grant which led to the eventual delivery of the rotary Kiln.
The kiln is currently sitting next to ECED's Wyoming Innovation Center which is expecting it's first tenant (NETL/DOE working alongside UW) this summer. Ironically CCTC has an MOU with ECED as well..
IMO something big is happening right under our noses.
Good luck on your trading strategy. I hope this works out for all of us :)
IMO The market will continue to value this news.
Brilliant move by both parties!
The Heritage Group's Monument Chemical could benefit greatly through supplied rare earths sourced by AREC.
Good luck!

Happy New Year, VivaLasVegas! Here's the most recent picture of the kiln I could find..
Still sitting while infrastructure gets built out.
Things in/around the WyIC should start syncing this summer.

We shall see. According to Phil Christopherson:
We are eagerly anticipating the opening of our Wyoming Innovation Center (WyIC) in February. This has been a long-term project that holds a lot of promise. A National Engineering Technology Laboratory Rare Earth Element project will be our first tenant. They have a Department of Energy funded project they are scaling up to determine the feasibility of extracting rare earth elements from coal ash. We expect them to take occupancy in late spring. To celebrate the opening, we will have a ribbon cutting in early summer.
I think this originated from the June 8th email about Aiden not selling shares.
Is that correct?
I've only been slightly tracking this since we've gone sub-shitter PPS.
P.S. anyone been by the Innovation Center lately??
I read there's a ribbon-cutting scheduled. First tenants arrive this summer!
We demand screenshots BUCKM! Or it doesn't work..
Panting in wait
We shall see.. #LetsGoShadow! Lol
What a beautiful sight! Excellent choice of colors and location.
Works with pilot plants?? Hmmmmmm :)
From the bottom, looking up! A view of the coal product filter receiver at the Wyoming Innovation Center! It collects milled coal material at sizes down to the micron scale. It's located right outside our materials handling building where we can provide coal feedstock for pilot plant projects using coal and coal byproducts.
Sadly, that’s how far back I had to go. You’re not often wrong..
So what did your recent post mean? It’s done? Over? CCTC will cease to exist?
Thx!
What did it mean on Jan 15, 2015 when he said:
"There is no way -- NONE -- that we will ever see a pilot plant."
