Were up as much as 10% in pre-market before manipulation by shorts took over.
Every publicly traded company has one… and often many more… attorneys on their full-time payroll.
I personally thinks shorts are manipulating it right now so they can cover.
Paraphrasing a line from “Home Alone” and whatever movie clip that was used… “MERRY CHRISTMAS YA FILTHY SHORTS!”
Riddle me this, then: Would institutions not be considered “professionals”??? And your argument just crashed.
I just saw the PR via an email and was coming to post the same thing! An earnings call between Christmas and New Years basically NEVER happens for ANYONE!! Either there is something they can’t wait to tell us, or there is something so wrong they want to talk about it when the fewest people will ne paying attention. Hoping for something very positive… but I’m not 100% sold that it isn’t something negative with Groton… lole they haven’t successfully fixed whatever the problem was.
Do you think people that invest in this company aren’t smart enough to do their own due diligence???
Not at all! I believe in this company and especially its technology. If you don’t, why are you here?
Looks like it opened for like 90 seconds and has been halted again.
Wonder for how long it will be.
This is unbelievable for me… while I’m a very small investor, I traded in-and-out of SAVA (only 23 shares) and gained 90% in 2 weeks a few months ago. I was looking for a re-entry level and bought 34 shares yesterday at $35.58. Could not have been better timing! If only all my investments worked out like SAVA!!!
I know, which is what prompted my question, as we are getting fairly close to that point. Was hoping someone on hear heard something, whether Covid-related delay, or it is in the final draft, etc…
Did you put your money where your mouth is? How many shares are you holding short? I say it will hit $10 before it hits $5. I bought more shares last week at $7, so I have put my money where my mouth is.
Yep… and hopefully Groton will also be commercially operating any day now too… both of these combined enhance our quarterly income with the power being sold!
I wonder if it is one of the other 2 LIPA projects that the State later tried to back out on, but we indicated we were intending to go through with the contract?
Been a while since I have had the chance to check out the board. Is there any news on China? Is AMRN/Eddingpharm still expecting approval by the end of the year?
Considering I bought my first shares of this stock in 2001… this has been a LONG time coming for me!
I am really feeling bad for all the shorts this morning!!! Wait a minute… no I am not. Not at all. The future looks bright!! Hopefully some positive news in the near future will push us even higher!
More fuel to the fire for the patent infringement lawsuit! Thank you for the bad news Raf!
Bingo! I agree 100%! Shorts are changing their underwear at the moment and setting up yard/garage sales for this weekend so they can fund their covering.
If we see such like 3 weeks in a row, then I would yes. One week is not enough of a time period to make such a judgment.
Wow. Actually had a better week than the generics. Thank you for the update Raf! Now if we can just get some positive news on Prepare-It 2, China, court decisions, etc…
It appears that since I last emailed investor relations at FuelCell, they changed their email address, as the one I sent this morning has bounced back.
Why? To prevent a frivolous lawsuit… they stated there was a deadline. By doing such, they should have provided an update when that deadline arrived.
There are tons of frivolous investor lawsuits by Wall Street Ambulance Chasers hoping ro just get a company to settle and pony-up some cash. They look for stuff like this to “build their case”. I’m in favor of nipping that in the bud before they pounce on it.
New to this stock, as I bought my first shares of it a few weeks ago after a positive Seeking Alpha article by a contributor I follow. Any idea for the reason behind the sudden jump this morning after a couple weeks of drifting down? I don’t see any press releases. I am just a small investor as my initial investment was just under 500 shares. But I am in for the long haul and plan to add in increments when I have funds available.
All that is necessary is a brief PR saying “FuelCell Energy Granted Extension by US Navy in Regards to Groton Project” with just a brief update on the info from the conference call.
I have just emailed IR to ask if they will be giving an update on Groton and told them it is material information and was discussed at the last earnings call with a deadline date of Oct 18th. I said that they need to provide investors with an update as to if it was finished, if an extension was given (and for how long), or if the project was scrapped. Withholding this information opens them up to potential investor lawsuits, IMHO. I’ll see if they reply.
My point obviously went entirely over your head. Physical construction at Groton probably took A LOT less time than the physical construction of a skyscraper… but probably a little more time from first start contact regarding a potential project we now refer to as Groton to when it is COD vs the PHYSICAL CONSTRUCTION of the hypothetical skyscraper you referred to. But such a skyscraper probably take over 15 years from when the potential skyscraper first becomes an idea to when it is completed.
They can physically build a skyscraper in less than 1/2 that time… but you are discounting all the things in advance that have to be done to build that skyscraper… permitting, design, all sorts of engineering, acquiring sll the materials, vetting and hiring contractors to do all the actual work, etc… Your comments seem to he EXTREMELY naive about those aspects.
IMHO, probably 80-90% of these “Shareholder lawsuits” filed by the Wall Street Ambulance Chasers law firms are frivolous and are just an annoyance to management. The law firms just hope the companies are willing to settle out of court “to save themselves “massive court costs and headaches”.
Ugh. Thanks for the update. If anything, hopefully these numbers help the infringement lawsuits!
I certainly hope so!!!
Pretty sure FCEL has been around for more than 21 years. Maybe it has only been publicly traded that long… not sure. It has only been 20 years since I bought my first shares.
I wonder if the Reddit group WallStreetBets has cone back in and decided to drive another short squeeze? Anybody able to tell if shares are being traded a lot in big blocks or in small blocks of like 30 or less? If almost all trades are the latter, I would bet they have something to do with it. Might cash in a little profit today (like 250 shares of my over 4000).
Wonder if either word leaked out about Groton being done or since Monday is the deadline (I think) before an extension is needed, people are gambling that there will be a PR Mon or Tues morning indicating it is done and operating now.
Seems to be an awful lot of good after-market action, ESPECIALLY for a Friday!
Thank you Raf. Hopefully soon we’ll hear news on the Covid trial in Argentina and approval in China.
Okay. That is unfortunate. Hopefully Amarin has a better idea other than just quarterly information.
Okay, thank you for the info! This is a busy board and combined with work and being a dad, I have nowhere close to the amount of time it would take to look at every post, let alone read every post.
