But an IPO for the OTC????
"What is the advantage for them is this merger? Why not buy out VTSI and have them in the fold instead?"
Just an interesting question for some thought.
Logic says there is more then we know at this time.
Just for the h___ of it
Why would three companies with an estimate 30M projected revenue let a company with great promise but reliatiely no money to back itself up buy them out????
What is the advantage for them is this merger? Why not buy out VTSI and have them in the fold instead? Shouldn't be to hard of a task to get on the OTC them selfs if that is the goal.
Could it be there is alot we don't know yet but forthcoming very soon? Is the current price rock bottom at this time or just a dream that nobody's taking advantage of or that people are taking advantage of realizing there is something here at this time.
questions, questions, questions.
Or maybe some more news is forth coming
Ceres and Felix
Just got in and haven't read todays messages but just wanted to post my appology to you guys first. Looks like you got it right and I was all wet. Anyway, good smarts.
A friend of mine called me with the I think he said 7.6 to 1 split. One of these days I might get it right.
Will be reading the board in about an hour and see what went on today.
Nothing cleared up
Just wait and see a 4-1. They will NOT have two separate entities. It will be one with the total shares of the combined companies. And there will be ONE stock symble. That's the way I read it.
Let's wait till Kelly comes out with his "message" to shareholders hopefully detailing everything like he usually does. Then we will see who is right.
Not how I read it.
Using simple math, with my simple brain, I don't care how you slice it, the total number of shares divided by the new shares still comes out to about 4 to 1.
Kelly did not us the dreaded term "reverse split" but this is what it is BUT with three other companies that are profitable.
That is good.
Will just have to wait for the Kellygram to explain all this but anytime to reduce stock for lesser amount it's a reverse.
Fool
"By my approx calculations:
100,000 VTSI shares buys you just under one tenth of 1 percent of the new company."
I look at it differently;
100k shares = 25k shares of a smaller float.
Percentage of overall 16 plus million shares isn't a factor.
But like the lower total of outstanding of the new numbers.
Wonder what's restricted and free trading of the new company
and their management. Will they hold off till the combined 4 grow or will it be a free for all cashing in with this new wealth.
Feel the same here.
Looks like about a 4 for 1 split.
Perhaps Kelly will enlighten us VERY soon with a Kellygram in simple language.
All done buying Bill
at least from my end.
Got 100% of my outstanding limit order filled this afternoon. Now it's sit tight and watch like everyone else.
My lowball was .10 but uped it
is how I filled. Maybe tomorrow; we'll see.
One thing, will not chase it up should news
push it. Either way is OK but sure would like
to snag some more.
(Good for the average down also)
Good luck Doug!!
Not yet Al
Only got 1/3 filled today. Hopefully tomorrow will get the rest unless some news hits and it goes up.
Doug - did you get your fill OK??? Hope so for you.
Got my fingers crossed it stays like it is at least thru tomorrow. If not, no big deal but would like some more at these prices.
Just a comment for a quiet board
At the current price with a company (if you beleive) having the product(s) to make some money in different directions seems to be a good bet. .105 or lower seems like a steal. Think 2006, early on, will be a great bet. Of course this is MY opinion only. Going to dive in some more next week, as long as can get current pricing. Good move? Guess short time will tell. Just hope can get what I want before it jumps (not if it does but when it does). Actually beleive it's a no brainer but what do I know.
Yea lot's of doubts in sales that have not occured but confidence in the sales team and Mr Ferris kind of eases the risk in my view; it'll come. A smart move? A stupid move? Guess we will see shortly. Puting more into this then I though. Have a sizeable position now. The way I view it is: money makes money. Opertunity does not come often. This is a perfect play at this time, if you beleive. So let's see what develops in January.
And oh yes, have a Happy!!!!!!
Good enough and thank you.
So weo,
What did Kelly state to ease your view?
Can't hurt if it's definatively sound.
Thx. Sure we'd all like to know.
AND, Merry Christmas to everyone.
Sometimes things are worth sitting on.
Nice report with lots of information.
Good one
:)
Paulie
(my last post till midnight)
For a non shareholder, you sure are on tract to EVERY post on this board no matter what time of day or night. And you say you are just following the stock for the fun of it. This proves otherwise. You're tracking for a competitor. And it's alright Paul. At least now I know your motives. Had doubs before but no doubts now.
Have a nice day.
Way to go Paul
Dilusional comment as usual. Tracking the board late I see. Over time pay tonight????
Let me take a little wack at that
Customers call the shots and the buying. If customers delay is it the company's fault on its previous projection from the buyer?
Sure it's taken a dive to date. Does that mean it does not have the product? Of course not. Have posted in the past to this effect. As long as the market is there, it will come. Better later then not at all. You want to dispute this statement? How can you. Sales can come next week, next month or two months down the line. There is no timetable because it is up to the customers.
Have stated for the upteen time that overseas sales will push this baby over. I do not waiver from this.
All the talk about VTSI has been changing direction through the years and that's right. BUT for the last several years they have found the products finally to make an impact in spacific markets and have marketed them in trade shows. It's up to them to keep persuing new customers till they can make a huge deal. Waiting or hoping for past promises don't work in the business world. They have learned this. Beleive they are and have been persuing foreign markets and additional USA markets while awaiting the "company changing" deals to come through.
Lastly, NOBODY knows what these new companies have to offer as to VSTI's overall plan. Sure it "appears" to be for revenue and to move to another exchange. Question tho: what if there is something else developed with these companies that can give us another edge. Maybe not but maybe yes. Don't count your chickens if you don't have ALL the facts.
"We don't know enough of the details yet"
It certainly will not be a cure all when we do. All the talk of inaction, double talking, ect on Kelly's part is pure and simple whinning. The sales team makes or breaks it. There are several parts at work and Kelly only reports the company direction and is the front man for the firm. Too optimistic? Find me one CEO who isn't on his company.
Either beleive we got the goods and they will sell or we don't. I'm deff in for the long haul because I for one beleive we do. When will we break out? Who the heck knows but it will happen as long as we stay on top of things and Bob Ferris is at work each day.
Food for thought: wonder what other surprize is in store in the near term other then what we know as far as product.
ssparsons, thank you for the latest info.
Nice to see VTSI make its move in 2005
Great start and funny thing is they haven't even connected yet with the big contracts. This reminds me of several others in past years that took off after sloooooow beginnings. The wait on this one looks to be over. Sit back time now and watch it grow.
The longer it goes on, then any news comes out
anyone can say: "see I told you so", no matter what news it hapens to be. Unless there is something spacificly mentioned or implied, it's all hollow talk. How could it be anything but.
Nice job Paul
But you left out the 2006 futures column. Don't forget to put in 100 million for the upcomming military contract and 200 million for the overseas contract.
That ought to do it.
:)
Mexico Plexico
Who really cares. At this point it is a phantom deal no matter how you see it unfold. Zero dollars equals zero dollars and that's the bottom line. Yea, when it does unfold somewhere down the line hopefully in mid 2006 then we get a nickle spike; whatever.
Main thing is to go after business with what is hot NOW and we do have the products NOW. Effort put out with the shows VTSI has done and will be doing, overseas and domesticly short term, will have an immediate impact. This overseas demo's will give us great exposure while we await domestic big sales.
Like they say: waiting sunk the ship. So why wait!!!!
Push the envelope while you can.
"running all over globe looking for business"
Come on Paul. You're building up a business and how do you do that? Have a good sales team to flaunt your goods. If you can take it all over the globe, more power to you. If you're limited, well you push where you can domesticly. Like the chalange. If you don't put the effort, what have you lost; possible sales that you might have gained. And don't forget the exposure in new areas.
VTSI products ARE a world wide posibility. Who's (but you) to say they are not??????
Music, sweet music
"We have plans to soon expand our international presence in the Far East, as we in the planning stages for November demonstrations in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand."
Way to go VTSI; now you're talking. The good ole X factor.
Hope they take a few NEW sales people with them for the training. Would be a very smart move it they planned it that way and did it. Expanded sales team will up the odds on business a bunch.
Ceres
How about answering ssparsons 16409 post.
The light is on and remains on:
Just miniscule comments are missing.
Typical doom and gloom comment
when nothing is announced. Experience has taught me great time to buy in IF you have the right race horse. Do we have the right racehorse? Buy low or buy lower. Or hold pat. Individual judgement.
The sky is falling, the sky is falling or is it; doubt it!!!
Non activity or word makes for doubt. Nothing new there. The game goes on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With the new budget now in effect
would "expect" that these "pending deals" get to be DONE deals before December05. If not will reevaluate and go from there. Know where you're coming from.
Think they are being overly cautious.
This is not a change but how they have operated as a company in this field. Frastrating to say the least but that's the way it is.
There is plenty going on in the background you can bet on that but they never leak anything out. If they made the public aware of actual proceedings, like they did with Mexico, and nothing happens.....................you see what that did for moral. False hopes for a stalled deal does not go off very well with anybody. Thus they say nothing.
Still looking for that X factor for overseas to come through while the US military has the immediate spotlight. Would be a nice surprize to spring a Russian or Indian sale on us.
Stand by to stand by is all we can do untill SSPARSONS comes through again for us with some good news before the Kellygrams come flying out.
Good info Steve
Nice to see updated coments from management and the brass.
Yea it's a slow boat getting started but at least we're in the same league with the DOD companies and have some sales and a real foot in the door.
"the company will be profitable"
Without a doubt. Will be taking longer then expected, ahh guess will just have to wait it out. Love to see the negitives you three put out daily. And love to buy down at these prices.
Overly optomistic? Naw. Just paitient. The daily drops are depressing to most but goes with the teritorry. When you have the products you just wait it out. Simple enough?
And don't forget they are not cheap. Whatever your budget it is still a good penny to purchase. That military will come as long as VTSI has the 360 and the threatfire belt. Nice edge.
Now the rest of the products seem to be a plus. Wonder what the future holds. Bet it blasts off. What a statement to make. Sure wish I knew what was going on at hdq. :)
On the fence, don't be. Almost at the next buy level. May have to wait longer then I thought but patience pays off.
Enjoy the posts, no matter what is said pro or con. I do.
Got another target for some more
Beleive in the company (may take hair longer) and that it's going to go; no doubt.
Sorry but before anything moves here at this point in time, hope it goes lower. Maybe end of next week or the week after with no big announcements just might hit that goal. Looking at over 40K more. (and thought had enough now; apparently not)
Smart or stupid move, time will tell. Hope it drops.
Greedy? Whatever. Money makes money is how I look at it. Money to burn, sure, but in it to make some big bucks, not to lose. Oppertunity if valid comes but how many times in ones life. Now that is an interesting statement. :) Take it for what it's worth!!!!! Company contacted, of course.
Choose your own poison. Like the blend here!!
Will fade away for another while. Later!!!!!!
OT - In todays Sunday paper:
"THINK FUTURE, NOT PAST, BEFORE SELLING STOCKS
question: I own stock in six companies. Two have lost value, one is about the asme after 10 years, and three have done well. I now wish to finance my son's college tuition. Which stocks do I sell first?
M.E., Mount Holly, N.J.
answer: First, forget how the stocks have done in the past. What matters is each company's future. Try ranking the firms by how much confidence you have in their health and growth prospects. Sell the ones in which you have the least faith. Your money should always be concentradted on you best ideas."
--From Motley Fool,
www.fool.com
Over the course of the next month I expect to see:
A huge sale with the price climbing up in the.70's or higher.
A dream? Naw, we got the clout now and beleive we also have a major deal or two in the background itching to get to the wires now that SANM is in the open. The waiting periods are coming to a conclusion at this point in time.
First truely positive announcement
that the company can compete/complete for the money making large jobs with some MUSCLE behind them.
From this point on, who knows what kind of PR's will come out.
My point of view only, that they have several contracts ready to announce at this point now that the partnership has finally been made public, military and international. Do beleive the sales team has not been siting around.
Don't think we'll get much of a pop
until the military contracts get announced, big ones that is.
Hope I'm wrong and this starts to creep up little at a time when it does start no matter how small should that be the case.
And the beat goes on; but not for VTSI
News news everywhere but here! Go figure!
(Maybe better to say: sales sales everywhere)

Cubic Awarded $18.3 Million Delivery Order from U.S. Army for EST 2000 Small Arms Training Systems
Thursday August 4, 12:23 pm ET
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 4, 2005--The defense segment of Cubic Corporation (AMEX:CUB - News) has received an $18.3 million delivery order to provide its Engagement Skills Trainer 2000 (EST 2000) training systems, simulated weapons and services to the U.S. Army.
Cubic received the award from the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) under the Army's STRICOM Omnibus Contract.
EST 2000 -- the only small arms training system validated by the U.S. Army Infantry School -- teaches marksmanship skills, squad-level collective defense, and judgmental `shoot-don't shoot' tactics. The system trains soldiers in the use of small arms, as well as the 50-caliber M-2 machine gun and the 40mm Mark-19 grenade launcher.
Under the award, Cubic's Simulation System Division will produce and deploy the systems to the U.S. Army Active and Reserve components.
"Cubic and PEO STRI work as a close-knit team to ensure our soldiers are the best trained in the world," said Terry Kohl, vice president and general manager of the Simulation Systems Division. "This award confirms our customers' confidence in our ability to rapidly respond to the ever increasing training needs of our dedicated young men and women, and enables our division to continue expanding our presence in the Orlando simulation and training marketplace."
Cubic has managed the Army's EST 2000 program for the past six years. The company has fielded more than 500 EST 2000 systems to Army installations throughout the world, including the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Korea, Germany, Afghanistan and Kuwait.
EST 2000 currently is being deployed for the U.S. Army's Initial Entry Training for Basic Rifle Marksmanship skills, which is required for all new soldiers entering the Army. Plans are underway to deploy EST 2000 Deployable Shelters to Iraq for sustainment training.
"When fully fielded, the EST 2000 will train more soldiers each year than any other Army training system," said Kohl.
The Cubic Defense Applications group, one of Cubic's two major segments, is a world leader in realistic combat training systems, mission support services and defense electronics. The corporation's other major segment, Cubic Transportation Systems, designs and manufactures automatic fare collection systems for public mass transit authorities. For more information about Cubic, see the company's website at www.cubic.com.
How about daily operations
and maybe a little fudge factor to play with till the deal(s) come through. Nothing to ask Kelly about at all. Seems logical that's why they need some cash at this time.
