Jermart...."Millions of shares to sell now"...REALLY????? Is that what the recent 8 k says????
Sincerely,
Jas
Interesting post.... The usual metrics would be a share price based on sales or earnings.... Never heard anyone simply throw out a figure based on where other tech comPanies trade and not Paying attention to their market cap..... Interesting as always
Sincerely,
Jas
Unix....same old same old....As Awk pointed out....this 20 million figure is already on the shelf and has been there since July of last year.... The only difference is in the mode in which that shelf MAYBE put into effect. Hope this helps .....
Sincerely
Jas
Awk....I AGREE 100 percent!!!
Sincerely,
Jas
Re sells.... Folks.... This is not very complicated. The VCs involved with Safend are selling their shares that were recently registered. They know nothing of trusted computing or the fact that the federal government is finally becoming serious about deploying trusted computing solutions to combat cyber threats. They know nothing about the role TPMs will play in the soon to be released windows 8. They know nothing of NIST 800-147/155 regs They know nothing of the Sole Source contract Wave will receive from the US Army. Use this opportunity to accumulate additional shares.....because this supply of shares will end in the not to distant future
Sincerely,
Jas
Jermart. What was the share price on that transaction???? Now we all know that
There is a overhead supply of shares that will make it into the market... So somebody gobbling up a nice block of shares is a VERY good thing!!! Thanks for sharing
Sincerely,
Jas
Qq....Re Wave....To be honest...I read the post about how your friends were at their wits end. Let me ask you a question.....How can your friends be so heavily invested in Wave and follow the boards discussion and be so confused?? The time for confusion and doubt were in the days of 2007-2009. Those were the days when we had to scramble just to keep the lights on. Those were the days when NOBODY knew what a TPM was let alone an SED. We were YEARS away from GM ( the largest auto company in the world) coming on board...followed by BASF(The largest chemical company in the world)...followed by one of the largest oil and gas companies in the world.....have I mentioned PriceWaterhouse???????
Years ago...we had an idea....had no evidence that the technology worked as advertised....had no evidence that a market would even emerge for TPMs....had no evidence that any major company would even consider this new technology to replace the current gold standards....had no evidence that Wave would win head to head competition against the gorrilas.
Today....we know a great deal more than a few years ago.....We know that the technology works. Just take a look at the progression of the GM contract. We started off with a five million dollar deal....after ~1 year of deployment and execution within GM..they not only doubled the size of the order...they actually ACCELERATED the deployment. BASF was notable because Wave was successful in displacing a large GERMAN company for the BASF contract. The recent Oil and Gas contract was won by displacing that little 6 billion dollar company that was bought out by Intel.
Q4 not only brought us the BP(?) contract...but also formal acknowledgement of senior Wave executives by the NIST in regards to the BIOS NIST 800-155. Did anyone see acknowledgements of Intel execs??? what about MacAffee??? Symantic anyone??? what about Win Majic??? Guardian?????
Q3 brought us the Wave NSA show.....anyone remember what was learned from that show????
This all brings me to Dabeers recent find....let me quote...
"Wave Systems has the engineering expertise".....no mention of the Intels/Symantics/MSFTs of the world
"a Certification of Networhiness" it took Wave nearly 2 years to obtain this certification
"and is the SOLE OWNER with proprietary rights to the Wave Management Software NEEDED to access the encrypted hard drives"
Folks...these are not comments from a Wave PR....they are from Army Contracting Command
So what do we as investors have to look forward to in the next few months??
End of Feb...RSA show...possible TPM links to Windows 8
Final version of NIST 800-155
Contracts being awarded by the DOD to comply with NIST 800-147/155
Samsung relationship bearing fruit sometime in the summer with mobile
Given all of the above....I'm astounded that anyone who claims to be reading this forum regularly is confused as to whether we are real or not. WE ARE THE TRUSTED COMPUTING COMPANY!!!!
Sincerely,
Jas
Re ces..... Makes one wonder what they were doing there??? Did Microsoft have anything to do at the show????
Sincerely
Jas
Wavedreamer....re roadmaps.... What was up with Berger's blog yesterday???? Such praise for microsoft!!!! Makes one wonder what is going on behind the scenes??
Sincerely,
Jas
Wavedreamer.... Re Gen Alexander .... Very rarely are investors provided
with a roadmap. He is saying in no uncertain terms ..... Pay attention to what
the NSA is doing!!!!!!
Sincerely
Jas
Awk....... Thanks
Sincerely
Jas
Re HP.....if SEDs become standard for the dod.....and Nist 800-155 makes the WEM a demanded for product......one would think that HP would want closer ties similar to Dell
Sincerely,
Jas
Good morning Weby.....sks said that we were more interested in the communication of that data in a secure manner ...
Sincerely,
Jas
Hi Alea.....sks said what you just posted in the last cc....fwiw
Sincerely,
Jas
Matt....I agree....in addition....we should also highlight that video wave put out using a tablet from Samsung....
Sincerely,
Jas
Re bidder....its been a long time since I've seen that large of a bid .....somebody wants in and doesn't mind having his/her intentions seen......interesting.....especially with the volume a few minutes before the close.
Sincerely,,
Jas
Barge.....Terrific find!!!! Members of this community have underestimated the significance of the Samsung/wave relationship...imho
Sincerely,
Jas
Jermart.....is this solution a TCG standards based solution???? If not.....do you really believe it will ultimately trump a standards based world of the future???
Sincerely,
Jas
Vader...re consumers....while I sincerely believe that we will ultimately be a significant player in the consumer space....that time is not now....IMHO. currently.....our major mover will be either associated with additional oem announcement/enterprise sales/govt toll out of trusted computing.....fwiw
Sincerely
Jas
wavedreamer.....nice find....i think most people have overlooked the significance of that samsung/wave video
Sincerely,
Jas
Wavxmaster....thanks...as I wrote to DD....last few hours on Friday could be interesting
Sincerely
Jas
Thanks DD.....then the last few hours of trading on Friday should be interesting...
Sincerely,
Jas
Thanks for the info....for whatever reason....I thought the money had to be in your account by the end of the year......
Sincerely,
Jas
Re tax selling......if it takes 3 business days for the transaction to be credited to your account....shouldn't yesterday have been the last day ????
Sincerely,
Jas
Dig....what is truly amazing is that no big time analyst has dug up Nist 800-147.....the dod Sept memo or the recent Nist 800-155 with the acknowledgments.......that is going to be the real revenue driver over the next 6-12 months.....yet their collective cluelessness continues.....
Sincerely,
Jas
Vacation....to piggyback off your post....there is a video of a guy talking up Wave as a stock that may benefit from the January effect...."".could go to 3-4 dollars by the early part of next year"
Sincerely,
Jas
Re options.....alladinator.....help me out here....if the stock price stays in the current levels....then the 2.5 calls expire worthless. The only ones that will profit are those 413 put contracts. Therefore.....in order to get the price up to the 2.5 level....net buying has to take place....the amount of money that would require would far exceed the potential money paying the 413 puts if they were in the money......what am I missing in your theory???
Personally...I believe that we will continue to see a steady increase in share price over the course of the next few weeks with a potentialsurprise in Q1 that will FINALLY wake up the street
Sincerely,
Jas
Excellent post Alea!!
Sincerely,
Jas
Jermart....this is truly a NON issue and NOT what you are suggesting. Let me give you a real world example.....In the medical profession....there are a number of physicians who are paid to work at certain hospitals but on their time off...will work at other facilities in order to generate additional revenues. The situation with this employee is NO different.
Sincerely,
Jas
1260.....IF....and it's important that one gets this correct...IF the person in question was being paid by Wave for work being done on the horse farm..then there is a huge problem. Having said this.....this does not appear to be the case....the person in question was being paid by Wave to be it's communications director and was ALSO working on this horse farm...clearly....two DIFFERENT jobs....Some are fanning the flames where no flames exist...it's a non issue regarding what is legally correct. Now..if one wanted to question his judgement regarding hiring this individual...that's a different story.
Sincerely,
Jas
Dig...very nice post. Your contention that Wave is now the go to team for Samsung in regards to Trusted Computing is SPOT ON....imho. Considering their position in the smartphone sector as well as their intent to expand their market share in tablets and laptops....it's a heck of an alliance with profound implications to Wave's bottom line.
Sincerely,
Jas
Good morning TPT.....I've got to give the shorts a great deal of credit....they can really go through a closest and discover some skeletons. Personally....I think it was not the best demonstration of judgement by SKS....it just doesn't feel right....no matter how good she might be at her new job. Having said this.....I feel VERY comfortable with SKS's stewardship of the company over the past few years and as a result....the position we find ourselves today going forward. He deserves a great deal of credit for the upcoming Trusted Computing revolution....imho
Sincerely,
Jas
Jermart...." If you don't have a problem with someone being paid by WAVX That works on Spragues horse farm I don't either" Amazing.....you appear to be suggesting that Wave Systems is paying someone for work being done on a private horse farm....really??? Is that what Wave Systems is doing???
Sincerely,
Jas
What is truly amazing is that people are so fixated upon the communications director. People get new jobs based on their personal contacts all the time. LETS GET REAL ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE RECENTLY JOINED WAVE.......take a look at where they came from and their experience levels. if this is the best that the other side can come up with......well....
Notice how the topic of the EUROPEAN COMPANY does not come up.....I wonder WHY??
Notice how SKS's promise during the recent CC of a new OEM coming onboard does not come up....I wonder why?
Notice how Wave's quarter over quarter growth (Q2 vs Q3) does not come up....I wonder why???
Notice how Wave selling 500,000 dollars of a new product in the first month with the possibility of another deal closing shortly bringing the sum up to 1 million dollars in the first few months does not come up....I wonder why???
Notice how the fact that the feds are going to be STARTING deployment of Trusted Computing solutions starting in Jan/ 2012 that are scaled deployments and NOT simply testing the technology does not come up....I wonder why???
Instead....lets pick on a communications director.....GIVE ME A BREAK!!!
Sincerely,
Jas
DD...re Market's reaction.....Until the Safend shares find themselves new homes....as well as tax selling season ends....we're not going anywhere fast unless something significant comes out of left field that nobody is expecting. Just use the current levels to accumulate additional shares.
Regarding SCRABL.....I think it's a little more significant to our relationship with Samsung than people realize...IMHO
Sincerely,
Jas
Dig...re BBIGDEFCON.....I agree 100%!!!
Sincerely,
Jas
24601...re ERAS...weren't eras part of the GM/ BASF deals????
Sincerely,
Jas
"Is this why we waited for so long?" The way it was explained at the shareholders meeting:
1) First...Wave and her partner had to convince this company to go with SEDs rather than the software encryption they had bought previously.
2) After the company in question made their decision to go with SEDs...they then opened up the competition for management of the SEDs to all the companies in the encryption world. In the end...Wave beat out EVERYONE of these behemoths....
Sincerely,
Jas
"Unprecedented" really....have they been asleep through GM x 2 and BASF???
Sincerely,
Jas
Good morning Mig....Unfortunately...there is an overhang secondary to the Safend deal. I believe that we are a much stronger company because of the acquisition.....but we have to be patient. What we need is volume to flush out these shares. The problem with those that follow the stock are the following:
1) The longs as a group are relatively tapped out.....we need NEW investors to absorb some of these shares.
2) The shorts are not going to feel any urgency UNTIL that volume shows up
3) When these shares get absorbed....and a fund/company seriously takes a position...the shorts will have a hell of a scramble infront of them IMHO
Sincerely,
Jas
