I found the video you mentioned at the ECOC meeting where the Ayar Labs speaker and ML could be seen together. Actually ML was some sort of MC
Nice video. Thx... I didn't know that Ayar Labs was a foundry. Do you mean Citris Foundry?

In other words, I can assume, project, intend, believe... in anything that may be wrong and still state it! . And if my assumptions were inaccurate TOO BAD! So he could have said ML killed JFK and no problem !!! because the statement was based on some wrong assumption! (it is in the Disclaimer!!!)
I also find interesting the "most of which"... So, he admits that some inaccurate assumptions can be within the Author's control

Great chance to add more!!! Actually, part of my plan is to take advantage of the dips... ANd I just did @$6.89 Thank you shorts!!!!
Well, I do not know. If they wrote "Potential" and not "Current"... there should be a reason for that. Even though there might currently be some sort of partnership I guess they still need to sign some sort of commercial deal so that GF becomes a customer... Maybe it is around the corner
I never watched it. I think it is new... I like ML's shirt :)
LOL!!! That was hilarious
What Lebby told the world is:
1. We have no idea when we will book revenue; but when everything starts rolling watch out!!!
2. We have no partners; Sorry to disagree, we have so far 7 foundry partners working with us... and 2H22 is right around the corner. Commercial deal right afterwards
3. We have no jvs; Again, so far we know of 7 foundries.... and you bet there are quite a few Tier1s HUNGRY for Perkinamine in their products
4. We have no licensing deals; and
5. No foundries have agreed to partner.
Well, no need to reply to these last 2 BS points for obvious reasons.... Hope you are still around here by December. Have a good day!
Great Presentation! I particularly liked when ML said: "... if you work hard with Foundries you get good results!..." For me that is very telling!
Terrible sound! Hope they can fix it
Maybe, but we will win the war! :)))))
Unfortunately I won't be able to attend the ASM this time... Besides the more than 5000 miles to travel I am too busy. But I will be looking forward to reading about any info that those attending will kindly provide
Thank you and enjoy the meeting!
He (Dr. Zyskind) also wrote an interesting book
https://www.wheelers.co.nz/browse/author/1599000-john-zyskind/
Sorry again Sir... but you are putting (again) words that I did not use. Where did I say "commercial deal"? I used the word "partnering" correct... and "deal" correct also... And I am sure that in order to get where LWLG is at now today... some sort of deals had to be agreed.
And BTW, the company already stated they have foundry partners. How do you get to have partners without agreements or deals?
Sorry Jim, but for anyone who has been following LWLG knows that this guy is biased and has an agenda... He only focus on the "glass is half empty" and gives no merit to the many aspects that inspire any long to be optimistic...
I know there are risks with any investment... including of course with LWLG, but the reasons he defends I find them to be BS
Right! And dont forget it has been like that since March (Roth Conference)
Sorry Steve but I have the 2 PDFs from the Roth Conf and this new May Presentation and they are identical. Including page 21 & 29. So, nothing new from March. What am I missing?
Thanks Pickle, but the presentation is identical to the Roth Conference Presentation... Nothing new, at least I did not observe any changes. I guess they are too busy with other more important activities
I agree with you 100%. We are only a couple of weeks away of getting info galore
As some have already, if CEO / CFO are getting bonuses is because they have succeeded in their endavours. Noone can disagree with that... But will this be just only because they made it to the Nasdaq? I doubt it. First because that happened many months ago. And it was a success true!! But unless they had also succeeded with the PDK and foundries the bonusses would make no sense... more so considering that the ASM is a couple of weeks away.
I have always been surprised by their low salaries (compared to other tech companies). So, it makes sense if in the previous years the board had come to an agreement with them to a much higher salary conditioned to meeting some milestones. Hence they are getting their salaries now
Anyway I am happy with the news
Sure!!! Lucky one who has been in LWLG for a decade... If I were in that group I would never think about complaining... thus there are things I do not understand
Richard, that's another great observation! Too many little pieces getting together ! Hard to deny where LWLG is positioned right now
Only 1000 shares? I agree it is a very weird purchase, kind of an absurd buy for someone of his wealth status
however what if these 1000 shares are a monthly purchase in a programmed / scheduled stock buy for a period of 1 year.
In this case the total amount spent would more reasonable and also the SEC would allow for this sort of activity, even if LWLG makes any announcement of any kind
Let's wait til next month
Right! Those 1000 shares are absolutely symbolic... And I for one appreciate the symbol. This tells me that there may be not a PR in the very short term but it is not the time to jump ship. On the contrary , once the domino start falling.... to the moon!
Great article. Thanks
<<... For polymer modulators to be ubiquitous across the industry, key challenges must be addressed at record pace: developing advanced and mature electro-optic polymers, developing simple, standard fabrication in largescale volume, and implementing packaged modulator devices in commercial applications.... >>
I would think that polymers to address the communications issues (eg data centers) have already been developped to a satisfactory level.
So, this is my interpretation of the paragraph... that in order for this technology to be ubiquitous, or in other words in order to address new technological fields (lidar, medical, etc.) the above mentioned challenges have to be met (finding appropiate and specific polymers, PDKs, etc). I suppose that LWLG is currently working on that
I am aware that my understanding of the technology is limited, So, I just wonder if my interpretation is somehow correct.
In this article, LWLG is already mentioned as a Key Manufacturer of the Global High-Speed Optical Modulators Market from 2022 to 2028
http://mianeh.net/news/230095/global-high-speed-optical-modulators-market-2022-competition-landscape-growth-opportunity-industry-status-and-forecast-2028/
This is from the interview on April 1, 2022 with Digital Journal.
......
DJ: What are some of the biggest trends you are seeing in your industry?
Lebby: The two biggest trends today are being driven by the big data center and telecommunications Internet and optical network operators. These groups are struggling with keeping their power consumption in check. In fact, many are trawling the technology conferences around the world looking for technologies that will not only allow data to be increased so that we see increased bandwidth and home and work, but ways and approaches to bring down power consumption.
Some market researchers are predicting that communications technology, and that which relates to the Internet may consume by 2030 over 20% of the Nations power electrical grid. While this is still far out, and may have a large variance, nevertheless, it is a huge number than needs to be addressed today. A second big trend that is driving the Internet to be more useful is the appetite for video streaming that has accelerated over the past 2-3 years, and especially so during the pandemic. Our appetite as consumers for video traffic is not going away, and in fact, it’s accelerating quickly! Both of these trends point towards the use of electro-optic polymers to both reduce power consumption and increase speed of data flow.
DJ: Where do you see electro-optic polymer technology evolving over the next decade?
Lebby: Over the next decade, the Internet will reduce in power consumption thanks to technologies such as electro-optic polymers, but will also be faster in that higher bandwidth will be available to consumers and users for platforms that utilize video streaming and related digital media content. While only a few of us can boast 1Gbps data rates to the home, or a few Gbps data rates to the office, in a decade we will all have access to a more efficient, higher performing Internet. This will allow us all to increase our quality of life, and make better use of a utility that will give us not only email, texts, TV, shopping, working from home, but a full collection of digital medial opportunities that we can only dream of today.
Wow – why did this not happen before? Mostly because Lightwave Logic was developing a novel innovative technology platform based on organic electro-optic polymers. We are now in the position with our technology platform in organic electro-optic polymers to change the quality of consumers lives through faster data flow in the Internet. Just imagine!
I really enjoyed reading the interview. Thanks.
Last night I was watching a film and the core of the film was about how crazy power consumption for data centers was! Although in our daily life we are not aware of this huge issue many Big Corporations do care!!
My point is, a clever / clean solution to such a huge problem can not be overlooked!!! On the contrary they are HUNGRY to find a real solution... and even more so when the performance (speed) of the DCenters can be more than doubled
No wonder that big Foundries are ready to dedicate some of their very precious time & slots to try the PDKs from LWLG... and also they are praying for the adaptation to be quick!!!
This is a nice reading!!!! Thank you!!!!
Interesting, it is quite a few of us. I am still in IDCC, I will be more patient, maybe 6 more months. Anyway LWLG is the real rocket to the moon
Nevertheless, my sincere thanks to whoever wrote about LWLG in that board
Another fantastic post Richard!!! Great summary and info. And I agree with you when you say that the interview with Andrew Yu & ML is more telling than expected
Wow! Amazing and interesting discussion! I had not watched yet. Thanks
After watching the video, it is crystal clear for me that GF and LWLG are working together. Otherwise, the context and the fact of having the2 companies together would have been pointless.
It also makes sense the PDK announcement that LWLG made a few weeks ago. I take from the video, that optimizing the PDK is very important for GF. Like the pending task on the project. The progress and success on the PDK that LWLG announced is a direct message to GF and other foundries.
SO, the client wants the product and GF tries to find the optimal way to produce it
This year will be RMBS year... all stars aligned
As Warren Bufet said: The market is your very crazy partner that would take you to an incredible roller coaster ride if you look too much into it and let it.
Before the invasion in Ukraine PPS flirted with $20... Now, the war is not forgiving any Nasdaq Company.
So, I am patiently waiting for news and PEACE!
