Why take on debt? A company should not be speculating on its own stock price. Just focus on operations and let the price take care of itself.
Any CFO that has the company borrow money to buy its own stock should be fired.
It is not guaranteed as there could be both price movements and corporate actions (i.e. buyouts) before the actual date.
What you see in advance is a "pro forma" view of what would happen if the index was reconstituted right then.
Never, I would hope. That is a really dumb idea.
Hope - no input from me.
How about we wait and see what posts to our accounts before we speculate?
Unless you are in a rush to sell it doesn't matter anyway.
I agree. All the reports from the shareholder meeting came across as confident.
When a short author and their cronies sell and depress the price that is not a loss of confidence on the part of long term holders. Imho - any long term holder that sold on that report had their eyes on the exit door anyway.
Perhaps if the price STAYS down, or slides further over the next several weeks, then someone could cite a loss of confidence with some credibility. Not yet.
PM and AH bid and ask mean nothing at all on stocks that don't trade in the extended sessions.
That makes it official. It usually takes a few days for this to work from TA to DTC to all the brokers to individual accounts.
I'm not going to waste my time.
They managed to get the word "misleading" into the response 3 times. That was the entire message.
That's a good exit strategy.
Right - the C shares don't represent much as a percentage of the prior float. Additionally, the schedule for them becoming free trading ahs been known for a long time - there is no surprise factor here. Everyone knew that the C shares would convert to normal free-trading common and that some of them would be sold into the market once they could be.
I have all the shares I want already. I certainly won't be buying your shares at .025.
I agree, Though I would say “if” we see them rather than “once” we see them.
I recall that as well. I will believe it when I see it.
You got that right!
I'd get more excited if those numbers were verifiable and audited. Given that they are not, I am not confident that there are firm lines between VDRM's money, Dr. Otiko's private company's money and his personal funds.
To be clear, the dividend was already issued in the form of restricted shares. If you were entitled to them, they are already in your account. At Schwab, mine show as "Alpine 4 Holdings, Inc. Class C".
In August a portion (25%? 33%? I forget) of those shares will become unrestricted. I would expect this to trigger some selling. I personally know some guys who bought ALPP before the record date, got the divvy shares and then sold their common. They have no long term interest or belief in ALPP and can't wait to sell the shares when they become unrestricted. I suspect there are many out there like them.
As we get closer, we could also see big players short the common, then cover by delivering the newly-unrestricted shares in August.
Hate to belabor the obvious, but anonymous "reliable sources" cited by an anonymous poster on an iHub message board are by definition not reliable.
At least there is a little trading action this past week.
... but it burnt in one...
I have no idea what the CFO's actual status is, but if he were a contractor and not an employee (entirely possible) then the monies paid to him would not be included in the "payroll" or "wages and salaries" number".
It is not uncommon for these guys to be on a contract and paid on a 1099, in which cae those expenses would show on another line.
What's the symbol on that, Steve?
They can easily program their automated platforms to follow the leader.
We are at about 9x normal volume today
If it is a flush it sure is a good one
Not sure what is going on but I took a chance and made a couple adds on this drop.
Sure looks like someone had set a mental deadline to be out by EOM and is dumping into the close on the last day of the month.
Added a little AGSS today
Post the confirms and maybe then someone will believe you. Until then you are just spouting FUD.
Maters denied that. He did not tefute them. Big difference.
It was long ago
It is as long ago
I added on Friday and am bid sitting for more now. Like my chances from these levels.
Same for me at Schwab.
Good Friday probably does not count as a business day given that markets were closed.
The key here is distribution to the transfer agent. From that point it usually takes a couple days to get out to brokers and for each broker to credit individual accounts.
I am not holding my breath for the shares to hit my account on any specific day.
The record date for the dividend has already passed, right? There is no need to continue to hold to get the stock dividend.
West coast her - just getting going today.
You beat me to it :)
That would be great - a F500 company actually taking an equity stake as part of a significant initial order.
That is not actually a far-fetched idea. Any F500 company looking for an EV partner ABSOLUTELY HAS TO assure themselves that the prospective partner will be in business 5 years down the road. Taking an equity position would position accomplish that, and would give the small co (MULN in this case) the working capital to ramp production immediately and in a large way.
