Ok thanks to you and Mariner*!

I suspect that the seam doesn't fall on a joist to begin with
I think you are talking about the seam on the backer board.
I took it that he was talking about the seam of the subfloor material, ( the plywood ).
But it will be a pain screwing down the floor into the new bracing.
You don't have to screw the floor to the new bracing. Just the bracing to the floor joists. That alone will strengthen that entire floor area.
I wish I could pull up a picture what I'm talking about.
If his plywood is moving up and down on the floor joist, that's another matter. I suspect that one floor joist where the plywood seam is, is moving up and down ever so slightly.
The easiest fix would be just replace the broken tiles and hope it doesn't crack again until he has the house sold! lol
Tile is great on concrete, but on wood floors there can't be any movement what so ever.

I do see that the cracks are above the seam in the subfloor Ok that makes sense to me. Even though from underneath you can't see movement when someone walks above, that doesn't mean there isn't a little give. It doesn't take much movement at all to cause tile to crack.
Perhaps someone heavier walking above would do it.
Normally the seams in your subfloor would be right on top of a floor joist, unless it's been double decked. Double decking doesn't matter where the seam is on the final layer.
Lets assume you have a single layer of decking.
The seam will be right on top of a floor joist.
Locate that floor joist from underneath and install some bracing across to the floor joists that are on each side of that one.
Lets say your joist are 2 by 10's and they are 16 inches apart.
You could buy a 2 by 10 and measure what the space is ( should be about 14 1/2 inch for 16 inch center ) cut 4-6 boards at the proper length, ( when you have to tap the board in with a hammer to get it to go, you are about right ). If you put in about 3 on each side about a foot apart, that should fix it. Also use 3 inch long wood screws to secure the bracing.
What you are doing by doing this is strengthening that one floor joist by making the other two help share the load.
Hope this makes sense to you, it's kinda hard to explain.
Without being there to see for myself I can almost guaranty you that, that one joist has just enough give to cause this.

Seems every time I reply to a post the entire site resets itself. Like I haven't been to any boards or read any post!
Anyone else experiencing this?

If you do see movement when someone is putting pressure from up above on it, you can stabilize the area by putting in some cross members in between the floor joist in that entire area. Not hard to do at all.
Count
Taping wouldn't do any good, neither would replacing the board, if there is still movement!
Have someone walk around on that area while you watch from below. If you see even the slightest movement of the floor you will need to deal with that to prevent the same from happening again.
If you get that taken care of then you could use the cracked backer board again I think.
There can be no movement in the floor what so ever.

It sounds like to me you are on the right track as far as replacing the tiles goes. Pretty much the same as I would do.
The main thing you need to concentrate on is why the tile cracked in the first place. It will be interesting to know if the backer board is cracked as well!
The tile can crack and the backer board can still be in one piece "no cracks" if there is movement in the subflooring.
If the backer board is still sound, look for a problem with the subfloor.

I have relatives in Natchitoches. That's not good!

Had dreams of a newspaper headline saying: SUPER KILLS TENANT OVER A PILE OF SHIrT.".
Lol, that's hilarious!
Count
Lmao! No,no,no. You guys aren't getting my drift! I don't think I'll be having that problem again as the wife had to make trips up and down the stairs in the middle of the night to use a bathroom. I waited a couple days before fixing the toilet so she won't forget! Hee Hee
I only posted in case there are others here that have sewage pumps to remind their wives not to dispose their tampons in the basement toilet.
The sign would come in handy for company though! Thanks
Count
No but that would work I suppose. However most women I know would not be interested in having those things lying around in any kind of holder.
My only point was just don't put them down a toilet that has a pump.
Use a toilet upstairs where there is no pump for it to go through.
Count
For those who have basements and have to utilize a sewage pump, remind your significant other not to put tampons down the toilet! Not a hard fix when one gets lodged, but can be disgusting. I have what they call a grinder pump that they claim can chew up a chicken bone but it was no match for tampons!

Thanks Midas.....I either have a mild case of it or I started on the Acyclovir sooner than most. Ibuprofen has been doing the trick for me.
Although if I had a job to perform everyday it might be a different story. Can't imagine having to go to work with this aggravation.
A good lesson here is, if you haven't had the vaccination, get it done.
Shingles is not fun at all.
That makes sense. It's been a little over three weeks since the rash first appeared. The rash is almost gone now but the nerve pain is still there but that's getting better too.
I was worried cause I've heard of one local person that dealt with it for three years!
Doc put me on three weeks of Acyclovir 800mg taken five times daily.
I haven't had to take any Ibuprofen for the last couple days so maybe I'm over the hump.
Wish I had listened to the Terry Bradshaw commercial and taken the vaccination, lol.
Shingles! Just curious if anyone here has had them and how long it takes to get rid of them.
Not the ones on your roof either! lol
Haven't you heard? The best is yet to come!!!
LMAO!
After reading from the link you provided, it sounds like it's a lot easier to own one if you live in a rural area.
That's good for me! lol
I want one
Actually from what I was told is you need a Class 3 Weapons License to sell a fully automatic weapon.
To own, or buy a fully automatic weapon you have to fill out an ATF form, pass a background check and pay a one time tax per weapon.
At least, I think this is correct?
Yes I believe it's something other than sales tax. Can't remember what he called it.
As far as the license goes I think that's do to it being a fully automatic. That's the way I understand it anywho.
YES happy days are headed our way!
Since Nov 8th you can feel it everywhere. Everybody is in a much better mood.
America was sooooo ready for a real change!!
According to my son you can own one with the right license and about a 300.00 dollar tax.
I'd love to have one!
My son said the Russian in the video (who is American) is usually at the shot show in Vegas.
No I'm not familiar with that. I bet my son is though. He's a gun nut and has his own gun shop.
That sounds awesome!
Are you going to the shot show in Vegas next month?
It has plenty of kick but there is a long spring in the stock that absorbs most all of the recoil. That's why he was able to shoot it with one arm. Pretty cool
Come out and play Benz !
And a top of the murning to you as well Larry!!
Make that 4 things.......
* Trumps supporters are a basket of Deplorables.
* At this point, what difference does it make?
* Arf arf arf, arf arf arf, arf arf arf!
* You mean like with a cloth or something?
From what I gather from reading the Question and Answer board http://investorshub.advfn.com/The-Question-and-Answer-Board-IHUB-504/ it has something to do with the recent glitch.
Gotcha, That's happened to me before and I couldn't figure out why. Thanks
Oh ok, that makes sense! Thanks Flo
I tried on the test board before coming here but couldn't get it to work. Don't know what I'm doing wrong?
It's too bad what I-Hub has become. You used to have a rocken I Box
He should be able to figure it out on his own now that he knows the correct answer.
If not, I'll help
I just now asked my son this one, he's 31. Closed his eyes for a total 4 seconds and said 29, like Duh! He did admit it was a hard one though.
I didn't even have to repeat it to him!
I read it a couple times and had to think about it for 5 minutes before I was able to answer.
This generation in their early 30's just get these things easier.
