Mutual Funds and Bank of America
I was checking out who bought BoA yesterday at: http://www.mffais.com/bac.html
and saw that Citigroup, Inc. bought 20M shares yesterday of B of A, and Merril Lynch sold 10M, and Vanguard bought 4.5M.
Interesting how they buy and sell each other.

Thanks for the posts
That's Great Aggie. You made a couple of hundred in the lowest moment of the last 11 years or so. Pretty good in my book.
Good job my fellow student. Don't look back, except to learn, now onwards to your next chapter.
QuillandPenn,
I was kidding, as every time I hear anyone in this administration speak, they always mention that they have a new web site set up, etc.
So, I was thinking...hmmmmm....maybe find out who's creating and maintaining the web sites and invest in them. Or, I should put some bids in myself as that's what I do.
Thanks for your posts.
Websites. We need to find out who holds the gov contract to build all these web sites that they keep talking about.
Trend, If you notice the April 1st long black candle is falling backwards towards the past and the April 8th white candle is leaning to the future...I think that this is a good sign...oh ummm, I think its a sign that I've been looking at too many charts today.
(funny stuff indeed...thanks for posting it)
United Airlines up 20% and other airlines up a bit today. Maybe because they've been kicked so long, or because of an upgrade.
You can buy a Used President? (I see a podium and a blocked head behind the glass of the U)
Ummmmm watch out for the Chimpanzees.
That's a great thing to remember. I used to force things sometimes instead of waiting for them to come to me, and sometimes jump in too early. If one play isn't quite right, then wait for the next one to come. Happy Friday.
ummmm not like a going postal kind of laugh? I haven't heard of going FEDEX so I hope not.
Very cool. Thank you.
Sorry to hear that. Please check the stimulus package to see if they cover a new one. I've heard about the tankless ones and how they have instant hot water, but haven't used them yet. Good luck.
Thank you. Happy Thursday.
Chart, help me learn please. I googled McClellan's Oscillator and found this page on stockcharts.com. The graph graph I see shows -70.41. Is this the same McC that you are referencing?
Thanks for your posts again, still learning as I go.

It's called "change the station" if you don't like what someone is saying. If there is no market for it, it will go away - as money talks. There's no way government should be involved with trying to mandate free speech and views.
I've found myself often listening to talk radio which is the exact opposite of my views. I find that I learn a lot more that way and it helps me to re-evaluate my opinions and look at things from another viewpoint.
He should know, he liked Sees Candies so much, that he bought them. I'm partial to them too. Unfortunately, that's about the only similarity we have in common. Thanks for the posts Chart.

Greed, it Ain't Going Anywhere
Here's a clip from the "Future is Unwritten" movie about ex-Clash member Joe Strummer. I always knew about the Clash and liked them, but I really have enjoyed Joe's solo world music and scene that he embraced in the years before his death.
video (57 secs):
crable (and Fedex),
Thank you to both, your help is much appreciated.
Veritas,
I'm looking into the options for Appy, as options are new to me, I have a question.
For
QXPCA Mar 20 (5), and also for QXPBZ Feb 21 (2.50), and QXPBA Feb 21 (5), and QXPBU Feb 21 (7.5), from what I can see, there is no BID price listed. Does that mean that they are hard to sell? How do the MM's handle that?
Thanks, trying to learn.
yup, makes sense. Good luck. Double bottoms are coolio.
Veritas,
I re-read the article you posted, about people in Haiti making cookies out of dirt in order to eat. What struck me upon reading it again, was that, you'd think that if you're going to eat dirt, that dirt would be free then. But, they have to pay $5 US for it. Amazing, and sad.
Thanks for posting that article. We're very lucky to be in the USA.
-------------------------
Beans, condensed milk, and fruit have gone up at a similar rate, and even the price of the edible clay has risen over the past year by almost U.S. $1.50. Dirt to make a hundred cookies now costs U.S. $5, the cookie makers say.

I don't have any postions in jewelry stores. Our local radio station has WSJ radio for an hour each morning before the wacky radio morning crew starts, and I heard a report about a lot of the stores that went out of business or bankrupt. I'm sure you're aware of this, but an FYI. I just looked up what looks to be the story that the radio was reporting on.
the below if from (full article at link):
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123449016586680497.html?mod=googlenews_wsj
...Of course, even before December's poor sales, local jewelry stores and regional and national chains had been disappearing at an alarming rate. For all of 2008, 1,140 jewelry businesses closed -- more than half of them retailers -- and the number of bankruptcies rose 19%, according to the Jewelers Board of Trade, a Rhode Island-based credit research and collections bureau for the jewelry industry.
Two large jewelry chains liquidated last year: Whitehall Jewelers Holdings and Friedman's Inc. The pair shuttered a combined 373 stores. Now, jewelers who held on through the holidays are showing signs of severe strain.
"This will go down as one of the most difficult years in our industry's history," said Dione Kenyon, president of the Jewelers Board of Trade. "On September 15, the curtain slammed shut and everything just stopped. Cash got very tight and people stopped paying for everything."
Last month, Colorado-based Shane Co., a family-owned jewelry retailer with 23 stores in 14 states, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection after holiday sales declined 32%. Christian Bernard, a chain of 15 stores on the East Coast, recently said it would liquidate after filing for bankruptcy protection the day after Christmas.

good luck.
Volume Question:
I use the streamer here on iHub and it shows the BUY Volume and Sell Volume. Sometimes I can make sense of it and it'll show strong Sell volume when a stock is down a good amount or the reverse. Other times, I'm trying to figure out if it matters.
Like today, UYG is down around 3% at the moment, but has 16.5 million BUY volume and 12.5 million Sell Volume. 4 mil plus on the buys ide. I would assume then, that the Buy volume was much greater when the price dropped earlier.
Do you guys watch that on the indicators? Is that where the Accum or the On Balance Volume indicators help? Do you use these indicators to confirm your trend?
Any thoughts are appreciated. I'm learning as much as I can. Thanks.
AMR: Clearance to take off?
I've been watching AMR and the other airlines fall for a while. I noticed AMR showed up on Crable's scans the other day. Anyone biting on the airlines?
Thanks for the scans Obi.
Thanks. One I had since he was 6 weeks old and he also was one of those 1 in a million ones. The other was a rescue one and he too was great. Sorry to hear about yours, and here's to hoping the one you have now can step up too and go weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee (but not in the house). My golden always tried to talk and said woooooooooooooooooo woooooooooooo wooooooooo.
Just another reason why I like WU. I lost both my Goldens in the past year or so, due to cancer and age. I was lucky in that I was able to work from home and always having them around. A great part of the family they were.
Looking for a Golden day in the market today. Good luck all.
I like Dragonflies. They are supposed to be good luck. I flew to China a few years ago and they were swarming all over the Bejing airport, like something out of the movies, and it turned out to be a life changing trip. So Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee (towards Crable).
that's the second example that you nailed today Crable. I wanna see a trifecta.

You can chair, I'll settle for co-chair.
Don't even ask me about the time the wife spent the weekend making chocolate truffle candies and then forgot to close the door of the room that she put them in, and our dog ate them all.
I've gotten quite good at checking with Dr. Google and figuring out a dog weight's compared to the concentrated amounts of baker's chocolate, etc.
The point of the stories are, invest in my Vet's office. Keep them scans coming, thanks.
yeah...but, that funny fart sound never gets old. so we like to see another balloon coming again soon and the anticipation is awesome.
you forgot the part about the dog then catching the balloon at some point and swallowing it and then your wife freaks out and makes you take him to the doctor so they can do xrays n' stuff and $300 later you're wondering how a simple balloon which sounded like a good idea turned out to cost soooo much.
True story here...Our dentist recommended that our daughter chew gum with Xylitol, as its good for your teeth. Then the dog eats the whole pack, and we learn that Xylitol is toxic and kills dogs because their liver can't process it, so you have to take him to the vet and $600 later...he's all good. So ummmm, screw the Xylitol and hello Hubba Bubba. I should send the dentist the bill.
Good luck today, thanks for your posts.
