I re-read the article you posted, about people in Haiti making cookies out of dirt in order to eat. What struck me upon reading it again, was that, you'd think that if you're going to eat dirt, that dirt would be free then. But, they have to pay $5 US for it. Amazing, and sad.

Thanks for posting that article. We're very lucky to be in the USA.

Beans, condensed milk, and fruit have gone up at a similar rate, and even the price of the edible clay has risen over the past year by almost U.S. $1.50. Dirt to make a hundred cookies now costs U.S. $5, the cookie makers say.
