WED ACTING UP AGAIN WITH NEW 52-WEEK HIGH
Thank you very much Bruce!
Strange that A2 never did that before to Malawarebyte. Maybe a recent update of A2 sees Malawarebyte as a threat? Anyway, at least I partially understand what is going on which makes it sorta less scary. Thanks Bruce!
ps Is there anything worrisome about this scenario?
Ok now this is really scary! I just downloaded Malawarebyte. I installed it fine. I used it once. No problem as it detected no malicious threats. Now I can't find the icon or the program anywhere!!!???
Malawarebytes is giving some weird problems. I did an A-squared scan and I get this message:
Name: Trace.Directory.Malwarebytes Anti Malware!A2
My Malaware icon when opened gave me my desktop. I downloaded Malaware again and got it working (It had disappeared everywhere except as an icon on desktop). But even after download and re-installation of a working malawarebyte, I still get 69 detections from A-squared and it just asks to send it to them as they can neither delete or quarantine it.
Wow, bank stocks sure are volatile lately. Look at TD sinking under $60 as we speak!

CDN bank stocks falling on World Bank warning?
Heck, just bring me one strong dark coffee, I have no existential problems with that!!!
I totally agree with Bruce on the Microsoft Optical Mouse. I got one for $15 when I bought my Toshiba laptop online fron FS, and it has to be the best buy ever. Batteries actually lasted 6 months and I use the laptop every day!!! It works great and feels good to the touch ... I also like the laptop a lot for $600CDN.
Not sure why, but after several re-installations,Flash Player 10 seems to work ok now with no more error messages
I did find this page from ADOBE but it doesn't really help as I don't understand how this applies to my trying to access mail on a web-based site?

Unfortunately some social networking sites will not work properly without Adobe Flash Player 10.
Would changing browser help? I am on Firefox.
ADOBE FLASH PLAYER 10
A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 10 to tun slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script?
YES NO

Thanks Bruce, I hope so ... anyway I appreciate your help as always.
I Googled it also but didn't find anything relevant. I did a major deep scan with e-square (Icarius software) which will usually find stuff that all the others miss but it found nothing.
This morning I went into her profile and was able to delete the offending funny face without any problem.
Is it possible that it was as harmless as a pop-up?
This is pretty creepy.
The other user on my desktop was IMing tonight and when she went to log off there was a happy face as her desktop in her profile. I was able to switch to the other standard MSFT desktop pictures and my desktop is ok in my profile.
I did a few scans but I am not picking up anything.
Malawarebyte shows nothing
AVAST shows nothing
nor does SPYBOT ...
any suggestions?
