Made a dumb trade. Can it be saved?
Newbie here. Bot 8 calls AAPL ($405) this morning when it gapped up at 1.13. Since then, floating around .80. Sell at a loss, or wait it out?
On reflection, should have waited for the gap to fill, checked chart, direction and market sentiment before buying. Was assuming the DJIA would take it up.
What advice can you offer? TIA
I'm lurking today - watching what you guys are doing, tracking along with your trades. Please keep posting. This is one of the best boards on IHUB, IMHO.
Thanks for sharing your trades.
That is exactly the information I was looking for - thanks. I will check out Trade Station. I got so intrigued tracking my paper portfolio last week I can't wait for Monday to come around again. Woot!
Thanks so much for the info - that was very helpful. I have some training in TA that has been very helpful in my paper trading so far.
What platform do you use? Sounds like exactly what I need.
Thanks again!
Been lurkin', now I got questions...
Greetings all - I have been paper trading options for several weeks and following this board closely. You guys are all amazing in your picks and support of each other.
Could you please recommend the best screen set-up for monitoring options? I would like to find one trading set-up that shows the 2-5 minute charts, livestreaming options prices, and if there is an equivalent for Level II -- all in one place.
I have been using OptionsExpress for practice trading, and stockcharts.com for the realtime chart, but haven't found a resource that shows real time stock charts and options prices together.
I am planning on making my first small forays into real money trading next week.
Thanks in advance for your advice!
Looks more like a stock promotion firm than an IR firm.
I think he's referring to Penson Financial Clearinghouse is announcing on Zecco and TradeKing that it will not clear any non DTCC stocks. They released a list on May 2, 2011 of stocks they won't handle - TYTN is not on it. However, not all of the stocks they list are DTCC ineligible.
This only applies if you are trading through Zecco, TradeKing, and some others. Fidelity and E-Trade don't use Penson, so they don't have any problems.

Buyers lining up for the cheapies.
I second that - the image clearly demonstrates great strategic thinking.
Excellent post - Mark is executing an amazing strategy.
I bailed out awhile back - haven't been following it. But good luck to you.
Whew! Much better.
Mark needs professional web design help ASAP. This is too good of a company to look this cheesy. IMHO.
Very helpful - thanks Max.
Guess I was getting spoiled seeing all the upward movement over the last few days - then today. This analysis really helps to put it into perspective. We're finally moving up.
Would one of the chartists please interpret what happened today? Seemed like really odd trading after the past few days. TIA
Interesting timing to do it during lunch hour.
Yeah - it pays to keep some loose powder around for CWRN. They didn't shake very many shares loose.
The bear raiders have come out to play today.
They didn't - it was fake. But you know that already.
Thank you Pesquero and Rocket!
Looks like some of the pumpers might be trapped here - getting very creative in the PR department trying to pull in new buyers. Ain't workin' too good....
When is the Q2 due? TIA
Very nice steady buy volume all day so far. This stock is like the little tractor that could.
I moved back in today. I think it's ready to start a steady rise up.
Not again - GLER Global Earth Energy, Inc. announced today it has 25% equity ownership in Global Earth Natural Resources, Inc. (GENR) effective June 16, 2011. The valuation completed on June 12, 2011 by the independent accounting firm Geneve Rothweil Partners, Ltd., valued Global Earth Natural Resources, Inc. at a fair market stock value of $91,906,300.00 based on discounted cash flow analysis.
Caution - pump and dump scam. See nodummy's DD posts referenced below.
Today's PumpandDumps - interesting new directions

Indeed it was a nice close. I do wish the CEO would release a little more news, like the shipping schedule for the new tractors.
Surely that wouldn't be too classified, and would create some nice buzz on the boards.
So the shares increased - we're over it. Going up from here. Last call for cheapies.
Shares fund the formation and growth of new businesses. Most of us are happy to fund this start-up because we believe Mark is creating a great company.
You may sink your dollars in worthless pump and dumps, but we are investors and believe this company is about to do amazing things.
Go TYTN
GLTY
Issuance of shares supports TYTN's move into profitability
- Shares enable creation of financing arm of TYTN so they can finance customers buying tractors. TYTN will earn interest by doing its own financing - extra revs.
- Pay for shipping costs of boatloads of tractors in transit
- Better alternative to borrowing money with interest payments.
- Creates collateral for line of credit from the Chinese for operations, shipping etc.
- Pay down old debt that carries interest.
This is a strategically smart use of new shares -Mark knows what he's doing.
New tractors showing in website - they're here and they're beautiful! http://www.tytantractor.com/
Closed up 20% today!! Yeah!
It looked like mostly retail until just a minute ago - HDSN just popped up on bid for 4m.
Good job Suester!
Thanks - also saw the ref to 2010, so it is indeed old. I actually wouldn't mind a paid promo when they are ready to launch. Just don't want junk promos!
Is this a paid promotion company?
Thanks for the symbols Sam. It would be neat if the DD board could have an Ibox with the symbols of questionable stocks linked to the best DD posts for quick references.
That way, people could do a quick scan before they buy a stock instead of hunting through thousands of posts.
Is this possible here? If so, I would volunteer to help compile the posts and symbols.
Thanks
I cry for you {-(
I won't trade with any broker that clears through Penson for that very reason. Buh Bye Zecco.
I wish they would list by stock symbol so we can quickly add them to our "do not buy lists".
