I don't think that t-mobile has the cash to compete in the 4G market, which is why I think they invested so heavely in the hotspot / wifi calling until they are able to build out their own 4g network.
Can anyone see what kind of sells / buys happened today? Were they in large blocks?
Depends on how much the settlement is for and what the terms are. Most of us longs have estimated it between $1 and $6 a share initially after resolution with T-mobile with all sorts of wild predictions after that depending on whether or not Calypso desides to stick around as a company or not.
Anyone have any clue why this thing is tanking with only 12 days left before the settlement deadline?
Given the continual pressure of a pending settlement, I agree with Highrider's initial estimate on how this stock would perform. It is pretty obvious though that this stock is not a normal stock though and that it is being heavily manipulated. In the case of heavy manipulation, what is happening with the stock now is making sense. It trends up and down roughly 1 cent. The MM's are clearly sifting this thing for profits.
I am definately not worried about it. We will all find out how this thing plays out in a few weeks or less. It just rubs me the wrong way to see folks using their considerable accumulation to manipulate the value of my investment. I expect it with a pink sheet like Calypso considering the history of this company, but it still bothers me none the less.
Another couple trades for a few hundred shares and we are back down to .085
Can anyone offer another explanation for this aside of MMs manipulating the price?
If that isn't share price manipulation, I don't know what is.
Did anyone else just see the ask price swing from .086 to .093 with only 600 shares traded?
Paultry volume to start today. Everyone is just holding their breath I guess.
I agree... that is definately an awesome chart graphic... I couldn't help but laugh out loud when I saw it.
I can't imagine who is selling at a time like this.
Back from a long weekend - anything interesting happen since last wednesday worth noting?
Precisely.
Some folks are maniupulating the share price of this stock something terrible. How can we have a few million shares traded for a swing of 1% on one day and a half million shares traded another day for a 10% swing with no news or significant changes in either the state or federal court cases in between.
The only thing that seems logical is MMs trying to shake the tree to pile on more shares from weaker hands prior to a large pop.
This roller coaster ride is going to get really volitile in the next two weeks.
I echo HighRider's assesmment of the patent language. Also lets not forget the "923" extension that covers the seamlessly roaming between ANY two frequencies. Anyone reading the patent language would not come away with the idea that it only covers Bluetooth. This is meerly an attempt to stir folks into a frenzy to sell so that pumpers and dumpers can acquire more shares.
What are you talking about??? Wi-MAX only reinforces cellular carrier's need for seamless switching. Wi-MAX will not make sense in rural errors because current cellular infrastructure is still superior and population density will not be able to justify the cost of introducting new Wi-MAX towers. Carriers will absolutely need this technology to seamlessly switch between rural and urban centers.
The applications for this technology are right now - in our faces. Consumers will start to agressively demand it in the upcomming year.
Regarding the FCC stuff that was dropped earlier today: Wireless spectrum is a pretty huge deal and some really big players are bidding with the hopes of bringing WiMAX a reality in many of the nations largest cities. I just don't think people realize how communications are going to change in the next 5 years.
Pick up any Samsung, Motorola, HTC, Nokia, Blackberry, Apple smartphone device and you will see wifi, bluetooth, quadband, dual-mode cellular support. AT&T now sells a device with all that plus a sattylte modem. I am telling you folks, seamless roaming is the key and with the new IPV6 standard being rolled out across networks globally and now 4G access popping up everywhere. T-mobile with free wifi calling from their hotspots. AT&T offering fem cells for your home. It is only a matter of time. T-mobile sees the writing on the wall and this patent has a lot of history. It predates every other patent in the industry on this and they know they need it to offer the next generation devices and huge cost controls on their infrastructure. Can I get an AMEN from anyone else on this board who follows all of this stuff?

The E911 and 911 issues related to VOIP and FMC are all the same. How do you locate a device by just IP address? And with FMC, a device that could switch between wifi / cellular and Sattylyte all within moments of each other. Well with Wifi, you would do it by the signal strength from the router and the router's physical address. By cellular, you'd triangulate the position, and by sattalyte, you'd go by GPS. Managing the currently location in a FMC situation becomes a bit more complicated because you are having to continually update the cordinates based on different methods.
Like you HighRider, I am frustrated that folks drop bombs like this on the board and then don't site any references to what they are talking about. I don't even need a direct link - just a few keywords to Google. I follow this thing too close to let something like that just hang out there so I feel compelled to look into it.
I scanned the hotsheets for any news from the FCC and I can come up with the following points that are related to this case:
- In September the FCC gave the green light to open up some of the "white space" in the wireless spectrum for super-wifi, enabling cellular carriers to augment their cellular offerings in urban errors with super long range wifi.
- Google / Verizon & FCC and Net nutrality legistlation
- FCC sites issues with E911 and 911 compliance with T-mobile hot spot at home service and FMC in general
- Google Funded O3b (other three billion) service offers backhaul satalyte based internet service, could also be used to offer FMC globally to cellular clients via a sat network
- Hylas1 satalyte offering sat broadbrand service to Europe with clear FMC implications for cellular phones equiped with a sat modem as well
That's what I could dig up that potentially may be coming down the pike from the FCC - all good news for us!
I agree completely with Highrider's assessment of how things are going. Folks on this board keep trying to bring up old news without taking into consideration recent court filings and the current state of affairs in an attempt to manipulate the price of this stock.
- Calypso has full rights and authority to negotiate the current patent portfolio
- Drago Daic gave up turnerover rights and has agreed that he will file a new case if he would like to take that route, this strengthens the position for settlement as it takes that wildcard off the table
- There is about 3 weeks left before the T-mobile settlement deadline
- Recent insider purchasing activity appears to favor a settlement
- The majority of longs on this board that are heavily invested in this company and support the actions of the current BOD and the direction we are headed. Many beleive a settlement is quickly approaching.
- Regardless of whether the Judge in the state court case favors Daic or not, it is a Jury trial so it doesn't matter a whole lot.
- There is a strong floor at .10 and despite the efforts of folks over the last few weeks to drive the price down, the price has held.
Shareholder Sentiment Survey Results:
Out of 44 respondents, here was the outcome of our survey:
- 38% of respondents have between 100k and 500k shares. An additional 21% have over 500k and the rest have less than 100k or chose not to answer.
- 72% of respondents feel that Calypso and T-Mobile will settle before the end of the year. %18 percent feel that a settlement will not be reached by the end of the year.
- %90 percent of respondents feel that even if Calypso and T-mobile did not settle, Calypso has a strong enough patent to win the federal case.
- %79 of respondents have invested in this stock for over a year.
- %88 of respondents feel that if Daic and Williamson do go before a judge / jury in the state court case that they would lose.
I was not too surprised to see such strong shareholder support for the current BOD and the direction that we are taking considering it is the best position we have been in as shareholders for years. I was surprised to see so many longs on this board. I tallied up the share holdings of the respondents and even with conservative estimates, 38 posters on this board hold roughly 14 million shares.

Quiet as a mouse today... millions of shares traded and then... nothing... must be in the eye of the storm. Longs on this board spent the last of their war chests after the 26k purchase by Walsh. I thought for sure that we'd see some good volume today based on the the fact that DAIC recinded his "I'm gonna take the patent and auction it" position for what seems like a more favorable settlement position.
In the grand scheme of things... $40,000 is not a large investment. Think about it. I beleive the requirement to be on the Calypso BOD is 1.5 million shares. If you wanted to buy your way in back in September at .02, this would have cost you $30,000. If you want to do it now, $150,000 bucks.
For major investors, that is chump change considering the potential value of this stock in such a short period of time.
Would love to hear from the likes of Final4 and Plantif2000. Does anyone know where those guys have been?
600k shares traded in the opening 45 minutes with strong support at .10 again. It's looking like another healthy day of trading. It would be really great to see some court docs this week stating that the case was moved. I am sure Williamson and Daic are going to try and throw some lofty reason to the judge as to why it shouldn't be transfered. Interested to see what they say since they seem to be quite satisfied with opening up the 2008 agreement in most of their arguments.
Well put. When the news of another substantial insider buy hit these forums, there were some folks on here questioning Walsh's ability to make a sound financial decision.
I checked out his record and just as you said- Walsh was in the special forces and worked most of his life up the corporate ladder to eventually open his own CPA firm. I am comfortable following that man in an investment strategy. He knows a whole lot more than we do.
I would love to hear getcarter's take on all of this considering this last bit of news flys in the face of all his dooms day "predictions" and pump and dump schemes
Monday should be an interesting day for trading as news of the $26k insider purchase trickles down to longs and rekindles the passions of short traders.
It also appears like the trial is clearly still open to be transfered. The Judge basically said to Diac and Williamson... "Unless you can give me a really good reason why this case shouldn't be transfered - in writing for the court, I am going to have to transfer it due to texas law and prior precident"
All good news for longs. I am glad I strengthened my position with some more shares this past week at .10
One more week closer to the 90 day settlement deadline. This kettle is getting hot!
Happy trading this week!
Got paid today so I picked up another 10k... was hoping to bump it up to .10 before the end of the day, but we finished stronger than we started today and that is enough for me.
I agree with highrider that a $26k investment by Walsh is a great sign. Especially considering that the last time he bought shares things were a lot less predictable.
Thank you very much... and we're back at .10
Someone sell me some more shares at .10 to fill my order!!!
Who trades stocks on 1/100th of a cent?
Honestly... .0999?
Come on lets close this thing above .10 for the week. Somebody sell me some more shares!
What are you talking about? Turrini all but had the ink on the page for the Acadia deal that would have fronted 5 million in cash to the company just for the Privledge of litigating this thing.
What kind of powerhouse law firm that you know of is willing to cough up 5 million in advance just for the exclusive rights to litigate a patent?
Turrini had that in the bag and Daic messed it up. Turrini also has brought T-mobile to the table before and if it wasn't for Daic's torterous interferance, we'd probably be the qualcomm by now.
The folks who are currently in leadership on the BOD are there because they beleive in this company, they are capable, they pay the bills out of their own pockets and they act in the share holders absolute best interest. If we were to put BOD nominations to vote, I'd vote the current team into office with no question.
So far management has been completely quite since Dave took the helm last year. Every time the BOD wanted to communicate strength and forward progress, they simply purchased shares. No one has sold any. These guys are working for FREE!!! Seems like a pretty clear indication that things are looking good for a settlement by the end of the 90 day stay.
This was precisely the news I was looking for to end the week strong. Buying more folks.
I usually don't invest in pink sheet stocks. CLYW is actually the only penny stock I've ever invested in. I chose to take the risk because I am heavily involved in technology and I see the sheer value of this kind of patent in the mobile / tellcomm industry. For the last 6 years I've seen this stock squirm and buck, spike and decline. There is so much drama and uncertainty and hope and prospect all at the same time. I must admit that regardless of how it does, it has been exciting.
What I want to ask the group is... Are all penny stocks / OTC pinks this volatile or is CLYW a particularly ammorous example of how much drama is involved with these kind of startups?
Would love to hear war stories of other investors as a break from the bashing / postering / waiting.
Stock was down just 6 and 2/3 percent today so far with 1.2 million shares traded. I suspect just before close some painting will occur and we may finish down about 10%. Overall though, a very interesting day for trading. I think some folks lost a lot of money today thinking the stock would go down considerably.
