Regarding the FCC stuff that was dropped earlier today: Wireless spectrum is a pretty huge deal and some really big players are bidding with the hopes of bringing WiMAX a reality in many of the nations largest cities. I just don't think people realize how communications are going to change in the next 5 years.
Pick up any Samsung, Motorola, HTC, Nokia, Blackberry, Apple smartphone device and you will see wifi, bluetooth, quadband, dual-mode cellular support. AT&T now sells a device with all that plus a sattylte modem. I am telling you folks, seamless roaming is the key and with the new IPV6 standard being rolled out across networks globally and now 4G access popping up everywhere. T-mobile with free wifi calling from their hotspots. AT&T offering fem cells for your home. It is only a matter of time. T-mobile sees the writing on the wall and this patent has a lot of history. It predates every other patent in the industry on this and they know they need it to offer the next generation devices and huge cost controls on their infrastructure. Can I get an AMEN from anyone else on this board who follows all of this stuff?
