lowman I hope you are corect my pockets are open ready to exchange $'s for NVMG. I only have a starter possition at this time. But I'm not one to chase this type of stock. Hold big possitions in ERHE, AMEP, AEI.to and a moderate amount of hmgp. Looking to add to any and all of these at the right price. Due to taxes I tend to be one to look for plays which I can hold for over 12 months. I will change course if I see an investment change from my orignial DD. Oil and Gs stocks normally take over 12 months to work unlike other types. Drilling etc. takes time. Oil and Gas are normally valued on reserves and not immediate cash flow. Gives the investor a better edge if they understand the game. I'm waiting for the release of funds from the last sight draft from the last oil lease I just signed.
What is in NewHampshire?
you mean don't offer to buy at anything over .oo4?
what is the real bid and ask I only see .004 on both tia
Plungers are the ones who make it BIG. Plungers take small chances which often look like a big risk to the uninformed, or those who don't do their home work themselves. Buffet doesn't invest for the in out he knows the end payoff and acts accordingly.
jlohalo hope you are right on both
Go Bears
Kelseyf your wind chill is our temp. And we have some wind also. Hope you are right on the gas and oil. Chart shows HMGP could stall at 33-34 area. Would be nice to see a handle form.

That is what I am getting at I have 5 accounts at one brokerage with AMEP in each. Yet these accounts all receive individaul info from any company I invest in so am I counted as 5 at that brokerage plus I hold AMEP in 2 other brokerage accounts for a total of 7. So are there 419 minus 7 or 419 minus 3. Now all of my accounts are not in the same name but 4 are in my personal and 3 are different corporations. How many others have similar accounts? There may be less then 300 if so the shorts may have a BIG problem especially if we decide to call for certificates.
How many hold this in more than one account and at more then one brokerage house. Actual number of holders is less then 419 if the count is per account.
excess funds. 1st add to leasess 2nd rigs. This is an oil and gas company. These companies are valued for their reserves. More reserves high share price. Buying back shares says management is getting lazy or can't find an investment which can grow the company. Older established companies pay divs. young ones want to grow which comes from investment into the going operation.
I'v seen share price expectations thrown out on this board and others based upon the end of the BDC. I wish those doing the projections would post their math with their claims.
ajaxx Yes the Chinese would be the buyers of their own goods. They have developed a new class with buying power. Their economy would not continue to grow at 14% but they would not have the down turn the USA and parts of Eruope will have. Also interest rates appear to be ready to advance again. It wasn't long ago when home rates were 5% now they are over 6 and looks like will go higher. The bond market is giving us the clue. Our economy will likely see 7% on mortages in 2008.

lowman I went to Yahoo historic prices but they don't have the dailies. I'll take you word for the gap fill as the chart pattern setting up appears to be ignoring it also.
lowman a gap is a trade which trades outside the previous days range and no trades go back into the range of the previous day. Many stocks will open above or below the previous close then move back into the range of the previosu day hence not a gap in the chart. HMGP does have a gap back in early Dec 06. Theory says MOST gaps will fill but there is not a rule which says they must.
ot oilslick I filed up with E85 last night. Haven't seen much of the BIodiesel Benn told that jells to much in winter. My daughter and her husband live in Cedar Falls. They are expecting in 2 weeks so will head that way when the ph. rings.
The oil exploration and devel business is a long term investment. Just getting the permits and the rigs takes time. Then there are break downs and disapointmnets. But when they hit wow. Your selection of HMGP was a smart move. But its a long term play which will be worth it.GLTY
OT oilslick how the heck do you get a handle like that in a Corn field? Hey that Blue Buny is good. Just finished a cup. How is the E85 selling over your way and the Bio Diesel? What town are you in?
Lowman I haven't taken a possition in HMGP yet. Still attempting DD. As of now looks interesting. I did call The PR dept. Will call Keith, but I'm short on time today. Did see he has an agenda to acquire more leases. IMO that is a good move as oil & gas Co's get value based upon reserves and not just production. What is produced is gone. As there is no Corp report it is difficult to find total acreage and where it is. Also number of producing wells with detailed production. Proposed drilling activity for 2007. These are items I may only be able to get from Keith. If you know of a location where these are please post it. TIA
Silver Chill out. I have no agenda so there is nothing to see through. I hadn't posted for a long time and when I did I was attacked. I took a short cut I asked a question rather then researching dozen of posts or calling the company. The last few times it was hard to get through. You say you have friends who will spend $20,000. Well when I take a possition in a stock its regardless of the price of the stock its based upon my DD and what I see. At this time I have $250,000 invested in ERHE all under .35 per share I have $69,000 in AMEP with an average price of .034 all these are over 1 year as I plan my investments to be long term as the taxes kill me Thanks to the socilist who do nothing but take away the incentive to invest. At this time I have other natural resources stocks I am taking possitions in. I may expand AMEP when I am certain CB is ready to take this to a higher level. I have spoken with him and Joe many times. IMo if one invests in this quality of a stock and dosent't speak with the officers that is a big mistake. Whn I usd you as an example against Mongo it was you posted your friends buying. I looked at the charts and said to myself why buy when the chrat is over bought unless one knows for sure there is news. No news we drop and could be a heavy drop. I'm not ready to add nor will I sell. I like those moves which go from .25-$9.00 as TGA did a year ago. It took me 10 years but it was worth the wait. I still hold over 50% of my original invstment in TGA. I could give many others but I'm getting tired so going to bed it an old guy thing. Happy New Year we will be much richer next year at this time/ but will we really enjoy it? God FAmily Country then whatever.
Little Ezeemoney. Great to hear of youth with possitive mental attitude. Remember the turtle only makes progress when its neck is sticking out. Go for it have a great 2007
I'v been watching this borad a lot not postings as much as I did on RB. The posters here seem to be different then on RB,except for a few. Now I see something that disturbs me. The stocashtics are hign which indicates a pause or pull back is near. Yet I see Silver saying his friends will buy next week 200,000 shares and one will pop for 500,000-1mil shares. Hum why didn't they buy this week? Gee sounds good but is this the pump so mongo can dump? Hey with the average vol of 2.4 mill the spread being .002 high to low. Yet we know they don't get evey trade and the cost to trade and the cost to keep a dummie on line is what? Explain how do Mongo and Silver manage to get paid and how much? How much is left for the MM? Does anyone know the answer? Are there really pumpers and dumpers or are they just folks who enjoy confrontation? How much knowledege does the general public have into the everyday happenings of the political world and the specialities of business unless they are a true part of it? Does the media influnece us without prejudice or does it have an agenda? every poster is either attempting to influence others or seeking answers. We must always do our own DD and those who don't know how must learn or suffer the cosnsequences.
ctb Its not the SUPOSSED NEED its the way the big companies in the oil patch make it. Its the transfer of risk and getting paid for the transfer. We own the rig. the capital to drill has a cost to the rig, there is a fee to the lease holder, there is a risidual to the holder of the current lease. On each project there are costs. The way to transfer the cost to a 3rd party is via a sale of limited partnserhip interests. THe GP ie AMEP sells interets which will offset the cost of the rig, cost of the holding of the lease, the cost of materials the cost of labor to drill the well, and managment fees. Managment fees can run 10-12 % without crossing the hog line. THe GP also retains a royality interest as it hold the lease and it retains a working interest as it is the GP. Now it has no $'s invested gets paid for the cost of the rig etal. If the well is a low producer or a duster it makes back all its investment and has 0 $'s at risk. Ya it an capilalist play buy that is the name of the game. It why I prefer to own the lease and not a partnership interst in one well. The GP has interest in many wells on the project and no front cash yet gets paid for the use of its equiment and expertise and a sheare of eah well plus lease rights. You must have gone to colleage at a socialst institute like Bizekly. Apparently no kickAMSS get out and do it know how.Didn't they teach you kids anything in business school or were you all in the social studies classes? Ya lets sit on our tiney 7000 acres and hope it still has gas no oil and woppe we may get rich by CB's knowhow, as we sure dont know how to take the bull by the horns on our owm. Let just stop with what we have and don't forge ahead as that would mean we give up a smmall piece of pie when we could expand and have the pie and the cake. 7,000 acres is very small/ I have had the head of Rainbow Resources, Mitchell Energy, and Chiefton Oil and Conoco all fly in to do deals at my table for my leases. The oil game is no different now the in the 60's. I'm not telling who I'm now in negotiations with but they are big. CB and Joe have sold partnership interests in the past. They understand the game. I'm betting they will continue and go after more leases. CB is a very smart man he is not one who will hold his eggs in one little basket. As he get a repuation for successful wells he can sell interests in wells anywhere just as Marvin Davis did. You do know who Mr. Davis is don't you? Did you ever read how he did it? The more land we ie AMEP controls the more potentail for greater success. He can do his 7000 acres and be big fish in a small pond or expand and become the massive muskie who will be bought out by the shark not at a $ but at $50-100. Its his call not your nor mine. I'm betting he takes this to a level you haven't even dreamed of.
ctb it can grow into a $10 stock by acquiiring oil tracts. Lets see what CB does after the meeting. I'm betting he will take this to the next level. He isn't one to sit on his hands. I'm not complaing I'm stating what I believe he will do. Lets have this conversation in 12 months and see what really happens.
LTG how many go to the park when its more comfortable to watch the big screen and avoid the trafic hassel? Advertising costs make it possible for the teams to pay big bucks.I wasn't aware the hot dogs were $20. At that rate many will stop buying tickets. Excess profit breeds ruinous competion in this case the tavern with the big screen.
Silver debt was cheap in the 60's when oil wells were being drilled. I don't see the difference on that aspect today. Partnerships are no more hassel today then back in the 60's I get calls every week seeking partnership partisipation. With the rising price of oil and gas the public is seeking a way to get in on the ground floor and owning a piece of a well has tax advantages for some.. Amep has more then 7,000 acres, but 7000 is a small holding in the oil patch for a growing oil company. Amep needs to acquire tracts in other locations where there is good geology and rates haven't run way up yet. As I understand the rigs can only go to 6,000 ft perhaps 8,000. They need a rig that can go 15,000 if they are to go into other areas such as those in Wyoming, Mt., Dakota etc.. Amep needs to diversify its plays. I believe CB will do just that. He has forsight and knows the oil patch game. That is why he had investees which are partners. A growing company never has its hands full, it works farm outs and gets a bigger plate. CB is ready to take this fish egg to the minnow stage then watch it grow into a trophy fish.
Silver You use partners cash for drilling and yours to acquire more tracts to drill.Look at the history of oil companies like this back in the 60's. Marvin Davis found a lot of oil but he had a lot of dry holes and he had investors for wells. He was always attempting to get more leases. HE didn't have to have the whole pie just a big piece of each pie while risking others money to discover if it was going to pay out
Art2004 I agree eom
Silver Doesn't the company sell limited partnerships for a working interest in the wells? I believe that is what they did a year ago. They wanted me to by a interest in a well to be drilled. My beliefe is partners are for dancing unless I'm the lead partner ie the GP calling the shots. Hence unless partnerships can't be sold yes the company needs cash to drill. However once a few successful holes come in investors will line up fast to join the company's partnerships.
Oil I know a CFO of a LP gas company who has similar experience as Mr. Ledbetter. His pay is $650,000 plus bonus. VP should get more. JMO
ctb if you notice my first post was a general question to the board number 1600 not a response to Mongo, He posted a reply to me so I replied to him. I still have no idea if proies were sent. I hold everything in street name and on several occasions have received proxy info after the fact. WHenI saw the news when I pulled up amep quote today (first time I'v pulled up a quote where it was detailed in quite some time) I saw they had delayed the meeting. I had not received any materials so I was concerned. Now tell me did anyone get the proxy if not who sent the letter to SEC with the complaint which caused the meeting to be delayed. This stock is a nice hold for me I'm all green and have been here for the long haul as I see some potential. I do not see a mere 7,000 acres as a big holding for an oil company. I have held more then that in fee, federal, and state leases in WY and CO. The fact they have two small rigs did cause me to take a fair size possition when they announced the rigs. I see CB as a possible future Marvin Davis who I never leased to but he had made attemps to leases several tracts from me. BTW how do you pull up all those past posts and post them? I/m not very good with things these computers can do.
ctb yes I made that assumption when I saw the PR. I'm confused as to your staatemen of my knowing Mongo. Also which ERHE board were you referring to? I had been in erhe when the symbol was erhc. I have seen several Mongos post but am not sure they are all the same person.
Mongo I saw that releasse which lead me to believe others had received a proxy and issued a complaint.
Have the proxies been sent? I haven't received any yet. TIA
Last day for tax loss is 12-29
Thanks MN that was a positive attitude. Now if Offor can just see it in his heart to relay what negotiations have been taking place many here will jump for joy. As for me I'm here until oil is being delivered so intermediate share price rise isn't that important. Merry Christmas everyone.
I just figured out Oilys post 86028. Someone got a Rollex the best watch. A retirement gift?
jdubs I'm here based upon my own DD. I believe erhe has fantastic rights. Part of my personal investment portfolio is in oil leases and free hold mineral rights. I know that often you hold the rights a long time before a company takes up a lease and even then it can be years before they drill.. Its not the instant gratifiation of poker, but the stakes can be higher with a lot more patience required.
