Always glad to pick up any cheap shares.
Any prey out there? ;)
Will prey on anything between .28 and .34 at the moment. ;)
GO NEOM!!

LOL beigledog, I was just thinking the same thing!
Movin' on up!
jonesie
Jake, not sure yet if it was or wasn't ;)
I can actually make a case for 1.30 printing, maybe even lower with some overshoot. The smarter play would have been to have sold all on the double-top at 1.7x and bought 'em ALL back down here in chunks. I seem to have put PPHM in the "don't wanna be out" category and that's usually a mistake.
We'll see.
jonesie
Oh nooooo, don't say that LOL.
Watching closely.
jonesie
Put in an order for PPHM at 1.45 this a.m. ...
... to add a few, can't remember my theory, some retracement or other LOL.
Yippee!

We are focused on those companies that complement our existing competencies, and can be accretive to earnings immediately or within 12 months of joining China Digital."
I just emailed Roy Teng.
Should have earlier.
Perhaps he can explain.

Been wondering the same thing myself.
I see there have been runups before, but not this high and not on this kind of volume.
Maybe something leaked out overseas and WE will find out later. Or maybe it's just an orchestrated OTCBB runup before a rundown. Hard to say.
Good luck!

OT: (kinda) to camera-phone/Paperclick experts
Thinking about getting a new cellphone, might as well get one with a camera and one that Paperclick is compatible with.
Are all the listed camera-phones on the Paperclick website (interested in Nokia mostly) capable of reading barcodes at this time?
Thanks for any input on this subject.

11:09 a.m. 02/03/2006
Feb 03, 2006 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- Today the Bellwether Report has identified Peregrine Pharmaceuticals Inc. (PPHM), a company that our analysts will be tracking over the ensuing weeks. They recently came out with a significant corporate development this month, causing a positive correction. For a full report on the below mentioned company, and many more, feel free to visit www.bellwetherreport.com for a free 30 day no obligation trial.
Peregrine Pharmaceuticals has gained a bit today February 02/06. Unlike its namesake the Peregrine Falcon which is an endangered species this Peregrine means to be a survivor. The company was founded in 1981 under the name, Techniclone International Corp., after a merger with & into Techniclone Corp. the company changed its name to Peregrine Pharmaceuticals Inc. in 2000. In March 1987 Peregrine found it necessary to effect a 1 - 100 reverse stock split.
Peregrine Pharmaceuticals, Inc. on January 18/06 announced that the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) has awarded a grant totaling $585,000 to its collaborators at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas to conduct preclinical studies of Tarvacin(TM) Anti-Cancer as a potential treatment for prostate cancer. Tarvacin Anti-Cancer, Peregrine's lead vascular targeting antibody, is currently in a Phase I clinical trial for advanced refractory solid tumors.

I like this weekly chart as well.
Nice move on volume.
Breakout coming?
Why now?
CHID
Been watching this one for a while, got some on Wm%R confirmation the other day, not a great overall chart necessarily but may be about to make a move, breakout above recent highs, whatever ... maybe lol
cjgaddy, I don't know.
I keep forgetting to look at their website:
http://www.jagnotes.com/frontpage.cfm?attempts=0
but every now and then one of these hits the news in my ActiveTraderPro (Fidelity program) on a stock I've got in my port. or on a watch list.
The website just has a teaser portion of the "rumor", I don't know why what hit my news window would have had more detail than in the teaser.
The last one I got on a stock I'm in was months ago and as far as I know it did not pan out, although that company is notoriously tight-lipped and NEVER puts out a PR except on the largest of contracts.
Sorry I don't have any more info than that.
jonesie
Perhaps, and 40c is a ~50% profit for swingtraders who loaded up at the lower uptrendline and didn't sell on the last trip to .4x, and it's +20% profit from the recent retrace to .33x.
Around 7MM shares traded just a few days ago between .375 and .42x. Somebody bought all those, not that all those buyers would want to be selling them right back here, but part of that volume is probably a little bit of resistance here.
Just speculating.
jonesie
beacon, re: timing.
Ahh, thanks, missed that.
So, good timing I say!
I like the speculation that this release could indicate the QP is nearing or already at an end.
""Now, with this latest patent explicitly covering use of our technology with camera cell phones, NeoMedia is well positioned to help facilitate this global boom in mobile marketing," he said."
Seems just a LEETLE BIT forward-looking in conjunction with the adjacent comment "project the total will be at least $9 billion for 2006,"
jonesie
p.s. This whole PR served to show me that I need to keep up better LOL, I had assumed all the patents NEOM needed to lock up this space were already in place. I wonder how much of this particular aspect was already baked into the price? Might explain why NEOM isn't at .50 already ;) Nice and easy does it.
allin, re: patent PR release timing:
Perfect timing .. keeps there from being a gap up on the daily chart. Would prefer all NRs to be released during market hours. Hate those gaps ... well, not really, gap-filling=buying opp depending where on the chart it is LOL.
Or perhaps they were just notified and got the PR out as fast as they could.
Just speculating
jonesie
SOG, you are incredible. Thanks! EOM
New NeoMedia Patent Covers Mobile Marketing-Enabling Technology for the Capture and Processing of Bar Codes with Camera Cell Phones
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BusinessWire
10:21 a.m. 02/02/2006
FT. MYERS, Fla., Feb 02, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. (NEOM), an innovator in wireless services and patented technologies that provide mobile marketing-enabling automatic links to Internet-based information, said today that it has been awarded a patent covering the capture and processing of bar codes explicitly from camera cell phones.
U.S. Patent No. 6,993,573 was issued to the company on January 31st, listing Kevin Hunter, NeoMedia's chief scientist, as the inventor.
The patent explicitly describes and patents NeoMedia's method of capturing the image of a bar code by the camera device on a Web-enabled cell phone, and processing the bar code so as to deliver the appropriate URL - or Web-based information - to the user's cell phone screen.
'A Mobile Marketing Necessity'
"This is NeoMedia's 27th patent and in many ways the most important patent since our first was issued in the late 1990s covering similar technology for codes scanned (or their numeric equivalents entered) into a PC," said Charles W. Fritz, the company's founder and chairman.
Mr. Fritz said that NeoMedia also has patents covering search, location-based ads, and "other enabling technology for a wide range of mobile marketing activities and applications.
"Our patented technology is a mobile marketing necessity," Mr. Fritz said.
"Today, mobile devices are omnipresent and the desire for information on-the-go is a worldwide phenomenon," he said. "Marketing-driven companies recognize the Mobile Internet as the 'in' way to reach hundreds of millions of cell phone-carrying consumers in the U.S. alone, and our technologies create a patented bridge they need to cross to showcase and receive orders for their products and services."
The PaperClick IP Portfolio Grows
The new patent is the latest in the growing PaperClick(R) IP portfolio ( www.PaperClick.com ), an array of mobile marketing-enabling technologies and applications developed or offered by NeoMedia.
"According to the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA) and Mobile Marketing Association (MMA), there are 1.9 billion-plus phones in use worldwide - more than TVs and PCs combined," said Mr. Fritz, noting that these global industry groups project that by the end of 2008, more than 600 million phone users will have Internet access.
"This mobile information boom drove worldwide revenue to more than $3 billion in '04 according to CTIA and MMA, who project the total will be at least $9 billion for 2006," Mr. Fritz said.
"Now, with this latest patent explicitly covering use of our technology with camera cell phones, NeoMedia is well positioned to help facilitate this global boom in mobile marketing," he said.

Delta Oil & Gas Provides Operational Update: Production to Commence Shortly
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Market Wire
4:36 p.m. 02/01/2006
SEATTLE, WA, Feb 01, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Delta Oil and Gas, Inc. (DOIG) is pleased to announce the following operational update relating to the Company's four natural gas prospects.
Todd Creek Prospect
Delta's Todd Creek Well located in 13-28-9-2W5 in the Southern Foothills area of Alberta, Canada has been drilled, completed and classified as a new natural gas pool discovery. Log analysis shows that the well has intersected two gas formations with a combined net pay of over 80 feet. Preliminary natural gas reserve estimates for this well exceed 700 Million Cubic Feet of gas.
Construction of a new gas processing plant just south of this Todd Creek discovery has commenced and Delta expects to tie its anticipated gas production into this gas plant by spring of 2006. The gas plant is initially capable of accommodating 10 million cubic feet of gas per day with significant expansion capabilities. While Delta will have no direct interest in the plant, the immediate access to market for its anticipated production from the area is of substantial benefit.
Cache Slough Prospect
Delta's Cache Slough Well, located near Sacramento, California has been drilled, completed and classified as a significant new natural gas pool discovery. Review of the preliminary data indicates that the well tested at flow rates exceeding our expectations. Delta and partners have elected to tie-in the well to a nearby gas pipeline to accommodate the natural gas production. Despite a setback suffered as a result of recent heavy flooding in the area due to higher than average rainfalls, the pipeline is expected to be completed before the end of February 2006. Results are expected to be announced after the well has commenced commercial production. Future drilling plans with regards to the Cache Slough prospect will be announced in the first quarter of 2006.
Strachan Prospect
Total depth of 13,650 feet has been reached on Delta's potential natural gas well in its recently acquired, highly prospective property in the Deep Basin along the edge of the Alberta foothills belt approximately 80 miles Northwest of Calgary Alberta. ("Strachan Prospect"). Preliminary results indicate the presence of a potential Devonian gas well. Casing has been inserted to total depth and a full testing program is underway.
The original Strachan gas pool was discovered 35 years ago however in November 2004 Shell Oil announced a new Leduc Pool discovery at Ricinus with potential One Trillion cubic feet gas reserves.
Hillspring Prospects
Earlier this year, Delta Oil & Gas acquired a 10% working interest in 640 gross sections of land in the Hillspring area of Alberta. The operator of the Hillspring prospect has drilled 4 wells adjacent to the lands Delta has acquired. The operator is currently reviewing the data on these 4 wells along with additional seismic testing and it is anticipated that a well will be drilled on Delta's land in 2006.

OT: GO SYDNEY!!! :) EOM
Would love to get a chance to add a few ...
... around .33 at the short term uptrendline in the Pitchfork in the first chart.
And if NEOM were to quickly smack the longer term uptrendline in the second chart, around .27-.28 ... be still my heart ... so I can find reverse gear and back up the truck.
Good luck to all.

It IS going to be volatile ... but MAYBE it's over? Nah ;)
But when I told dinotori back on the 25th in a PM that I had "stepped aside" for the fallout of that MF story to settle out, I tried to figure a re-entry that would make me happy.
That lower uptrendline (sitting today around 2.50) looked like a happy place, although I certainly didn't know if I'd ever get it or not. Sometimes you just gotta "wish" real hard LOL. Then watch really close.

Tri-Valley Ships First Oil From Temblor Valley Production
----------------------------------------------------------------PRNewswire
2:01 p.m. 01/30/2006
BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Jan 30, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Tri-Valley Corporation (TIV) announced that it had shipped an initial 2,500 barrels of oil in January from its recently acquired Temblor Valley producing property and expects to increase this monthly production by reworking several idle wells on the property.
The rework program should commence in February when the Company begins taking delivery on its own production rigs and assigning them to its various producing properties in California.
Additionally, Tri-Valley has begun preparations to drill a horizontal well in the diatomite interval of the Temblor Valley property which adjoins the super giant South Belridge Oil Field, from which tens of thousands of barrels of oil per day are produced from the diatomite.
"The diatomite is but one interval of several on this lightly drilled property that have never been exploited and we are excited about the upside this re-exploitation with modern methods represents," said Joseph R. Kandle, president of the operating subsidiary, Tri-Valley Oil & Gas Co.
The first three zones are shallow beginning at 350 feet down to 1,200 feet. However, deeper potential is thought to be available from information of the then world's deepest well, the Berry No. 1, drilled in 1930 to 11,377 feet on the property and which had 59 API gravity oil shows. Tri-Valley will also pursue development of a deep exploration prospect once the re-exploitation and production build up is well underway.
