What does 3x mean of FAS? Is that 3 time the port folio value? Moves pretty good almost like SKF or SRS.
Its a new one for me?
TBT acting great now, thanks for pointing it out. September is a long time though, I have problems waiting on green bananas.

“The Rosablanca section was thicker than we had anticipated and we encountered 30 feet of the lower Tambor sand with good shows,” stated Greg Franklin, VP Exploration. ”We will perforate and test four different zones, and remain very excited about the prospectivity of this well and this project,” he added.
“After drilling the Rosablanca-1, then taking logs and core samples, it is apparent that casing the well is in the best interest of the joint venture,” stated Kim Bradford, Chairman and CEO. “We are pleased and encouraged by the preliminary information.”

an 6 (Reuters) - BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc (BMRN.O) said it entered into an agreement with La Jolla Pharmaceutical Co (LJPC.O) to co-develop and market La Jolla's experimental lupus drug worldwide, except in the Asia-Pacific region.
Shares of La Jolla nearly doubled their value to $1.49 in trading after the bell.
BioMarin would pay $15 million upfront to La Jolla, which could receive up to $289 million in cash through milestones and equity purchases by BioMarin as part of the deal, the companies said.
Both companies would jointly commercialize Riquent, which is currently in late-stage trials as a treatment for lupus, in the United States. BioMarin would be responsible for all other commercialization activities in Europe and other territories outside of Asia.
Results from the late-stage studies of Riquent is expected in the first quarter of 2009 and in mid-2009. Lupus is a potentially fatal, chronic autoimmune disease in which the body creates antibodies that attack the body's own connective tissues.
Following a successful late-stage trial, both companies would share equally in all losses and profits.
"If the ASPEN study is successful, Riquent provides BioMarin the opportunity to launch a product in the 2010 and 2011 timeframe in regions where we can leverage existing commercial operations," BioMarin Chief Executive Jean-Jacques Bienaime said.

Rawnoc, CNO paying off nicely, thanks for posting here. I have also been following THMR (.17) as have other here. There exists and interesting connection with Matlin Patterson's Fund and Flagstar bank (FBC)which just qualified for TARP funds. Here's a post from yahoo spelling that connection out.
>>>There has been lots of speculation of a possible merger between Thornburg Mortgage and Flagstar Bank contingent of Maitlin Patterson investing 250 mil of their own money into Flagstar bank. They are also a huge investor in Thornburg. You can read about that here. Make sure you follow THMR and FBC closely, I think the Matlin Patterson investments are going to pay off for both because Flagstar bank just got preliminary approval for Tarp funds on 12/31/08 and MP is now 70% owner of FBC. Their plan is taking shape quite nicely. I have done a lot of research on the MP investments they have made in the past and most have turned many a company around back in the right direction towards profibility again. Look at NRG HUN SPC ORMT BPSG. I see everyone complaining about dilution with MP but without them THMR would already be BK and the longs would have nothing at all in value. MP has given this company a chance to rise again. This is going to get very interesting.

I have sold most of my Canadian adrs as I feel the US Dollar might start putting up a fight. I still hold a little ZENN Motors and whole bunch of COSWF.
I'm 70 this Saturday so I'm learning to look at things differently. I do recall as a young guy I was guilty of bragging about some early successes I had investing my senior year in college (1961) when talking to a 70 year old attorney.
He said "Oh the stock market! Is that where you put your money when you think your saving it?"
Silver Dragon SDRG .25/26 +.06 May be worth a look now after recent restructuring. This yahoo post sparked some new buying today and convinced me to hold the shares I bought recently:
>>>>>Well, after a very long, tempestuous year, it looks like SDRG is finally getting its house in order. Between the horrific capital and stock markets in the junior mining sector, the unexpectedly vicious attacks of a large shareholder (who in my view was trying to take over the company), and some managerial mistakes, the stock has suffered greatly.
However, last week the company cut what I view to be a brilliant deal with the Chinese government, which in essence bought some assets from the company for $4.5 million and is making a separate investment in SDRG of $8.5 million, for a total of $13 million.
Silver Dragon owned 90% of the nine Chinese properties, which based on the enormous discovery made earlier this year on just one of the properties, were clearly too big to be carried by such a small company, particularly in such a bad capital market. So the Chinese government (which has owned the other 10% of the properties) raised their stake to 60% in eight of the nine properties, and 30% in the ninth. Thus, they will take over operations, allowing SDRG to be a more passive investor and dramatically lower their capex requirements. Plus, the ninth property will be put into production, as evidenced by the fee SDRG paid the Chinese government late last week for the mining license.
Following the closing of these deals ($1.2 million was put down, with the remainder expected to come in roughly 7-10 days from now), the company will have roughly $12 million in the bank, 100% ownership of its Mexican properties, 40% ownership of the exploration properties in China, and 70% of the mature Chinese property ready for development/production. The company’s capex requirements for 2008 will likely be only around $3-$4 million, and they will also be pushing to have significant production in Mexico by year-end.
Given that the company will have $12 million in cash ($0.10/share) and more than 30 million ounces of silver resources, the valuation appears very attractive. Plus, I fully expect the BOD to be built up shortly, likely with someone from the Chinese government (as they now own roughly one-third of SDRG) and some significant mining operational personnel. In turn, this could lead to a TSX listing (or at least a TSX-V listing) very soon. Thus, the road to credibility (plus ANY turn in sentiment toward PM shares) could lead to some nice stock price gains over the next year or so, IMO.<<<<<<

Funny reading this housing article the morning after my brother called to say he finally sold his townhouse in Cincinnati (after 6 months); my son-in-law sold his mother's home two weeks ago (after 1 year), and counted three new sale pending signs yesterday along a popular residential area outside of Boston. There is hardly any for sale signs left on older homes in my area just some project housing (condos and townhouses).
Correction BFR.V sorry. SI Crossy's guys like it.
Based just on mkt cap there may be better bargains out there. BKR.v at 1.30 has just 55 million shares and has about half the current production plus profits. Pearl Corporate Update
CALGARY, ALBERTA, Apr 24, 2008 (Marketwire via COMTEX News Network) --
Pearl Exploration and Production Ltd. ("Pearl" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:PXX)(FIRST NORTH:PXXS) reports that it has entered into a binding agreement with a large integrated energy company to sell certain non-core heavy oil producing assets for $75 million.
These assets, principally located in the Lloydminster, Celtic, Pikes Peak and Thunderchild areas of Saskatchewan, currently produce approximately 3,200 Boe/d and are part of the non-core asset package that the Company had announced its intentions to investigate selling on January 8, 2008.
"We are very pleased with the outcome of this non-core asset rationalization effort. While these assets make up approximately 30% of our current production and cash flow they are only 10% of our proved plus probable reserves and 3% of our proved plus probable plus possible reserves. By disposing of these assets we will be better able to concentrate on our larger resource to reserve conversion opportunities both in terms of capital and in terms of human resources. In addition this sale will allow Pearl to eliminate its current debt balance of approximately $30 mm," stated Keith Hill, President and CEO of Pearl.
The sale is expected to close prior to the end of May. Canaccord Enermarket acted as exclusive financial advisor to Pearl in this disposition.
Pearl Exploration and Production Ltd. is a public company focused on delivering disciplined growth by establishing a North American portfolio of heavy oil projects with an emphasis on large resource opportunities. Additional information on Pearl is available on the Company's website at www.pearleandp.com.
