Duh, duped again.
62rich, where did you see the MSN report?
And that would stop them from doing it because.....??
Thanks again, Dancing.....
Can anyone point me to the most reliable site to verify that a NASDAQ stock is "halted"? Thanks in advance....
What is the most reliable site to see whether a NASDAQ stock is "halted"?
So much for the BIG 1st Amendment win! Sounds like management has rolled over for the FDA, I don't get it at all.
BC, thanks for posting this EXTREMELY IMPORTANT cautionary tale. Shows just how reckless...even if unintentional...some of our dietary pundits can be!
Thanks for your thoughts JL, the question crossed my mind after reading the "cut and paste" BS response from Sears staff. I took Lovaza for several years until my gut couldn't take any more. Your posts and follow up research that they've led to have yielded quite an education. I'll also pursue some research on the DHA question on my own.....again many thanks!
Quick question JL, is there a reasonable estimate of DHA supplement that should be consumed? (I'm not a big fan of oily fish).
Thank you DVRep for a post that should bring reason to this board, well stated and absolutely CORRECT. But it won't, too many here being too impatient to wait on events playing out as Titan has planned. Fortunately one morning, the price will certainly silence those voices!
Announcement in May 2016 of 34% reduction with 967th event on February 27, 2016.
BC, what is Bavi?
Anybody got anything on the Jefferies Presentation today...location...time...schedule??
Kiwi, I thought it important that I let you know....I checked for vital signs, the horse has no pulse, you've beaten it to death....again! See, some things don't change. LOL
Hey, did you guys kiss and make up?......crap, I missed the whole thing. That's it, no more Friday night Double Cheese Burgers for me!
A lot of posters here, including myself, are deep in the hole on AMRN. There is tremendous frustration that the stock has been unable to perform in the face of all the recent positive court activity. None of us really want to hear any more about the negatives that will kill what's left of this investment.
Trouble is that we really need to hear about negative possibilities along with positive if we're to have any chance of making rational decisions about this company. We should be encouraging all thoughtful posters whether they're ideas are pro or con.
Perhaps he's deliberately suppressing references to Vascepa. He does hawk his own remedies, doesn't he?
Dupe message, apologies!
It is excrutiating that we still must experience down days in AMRN like we are today when there is such great expectation on the horizon. With recent accomplishments, I never again expected to be trading under $2.25 and certainly not back in the teens.
If there's a new label on the horizon, here's hoping it refers to pleiotropic effects of V, other than just TG lowering.
Most on this board believe there will be positive PPS activity when the first completed SPORT platforms are deployed for testing.
The NLA did not come out against the benefits of EPA but they certainly stressed other remedies as the general standard of care. They also state specifically that treating triglycerides in the 150 to 500 range is not a recommendation, thus they provide no impetus for prescribing V for that indication.
Hopefully our reps can get some 1st A traction out of highlighting Vascepa impact on other inflammatory and oxidative factors that provide CVD benefit. That may be a route to increased scripts but getting more insurance coverage will be seriously hampered until REDUCE-IT results are known.
I have no gripe with the way Amarin is holding up especially in light of the biotech mess of the moment. The current course of action by the company is as good as we've ever seen. But the promotional and sales efforts need to be focused on the other benefits of Vascepa and not on triglycerides. That path will lead to a dead end.
So based on the National Lipid Association Guidelines - Part 2, marketing Vascepa for lowering triglycerides would be a losing strategy. ANCHOR results on the label won't get us much additional penetration into the CHD market nor will they serve to expand coverage by insurers. Just one more indication that everything is riding on REDUCE-IT.
Might explain why the stock opened kind of sickly this morning and couldn't sustain the little rally we had going. We'll know by day's end!
Well unfortunately, BB, there is no congressional pressure! Just another head fake.
It's disappointing but understandable to hear this JL, but in another month I'll be residing in Delray Beach, FL. I'm leaving the NJ Winter in NJ and heading South for sun and fun....(and perhaps there'll be some Amarin news by April to welcome me back home.) While there, I'll be paying less attention to the day to day discussion and more to weather forecasts. Be well and good luck!
Fair enough!
So hypothetically, if someone you knew was holding more than 100k shares of Titan with an average PPS nearly 70% above current market, would you be concerned about him/her at this point in time ?
And Titan Shareholders would care what your thinking is on this.....because?
cmm3rd, I'll add my voice to the choir - in the words of the great Aaron Neville, "Don't Go, Please Stay"!!! Yours is a welcome voice!!
It sure as hell is for me, thank you for making the effort cmm3rd. These points have been argued numerous times previously but never with the same lucidity and thoroughness as your treatment and specifically within the context of our legal system.
Thanks North, appreciate your feedback. I've already tried to reach her and will offer strong encouragement.
Thanks for the feedback BB, will pass along.
I have a 45 year old somewhat active friend who has been Type I Diabetic for 35 years. Recent lipid profile noted below. Endo looking to start her on statins but I don't know if she should take the risk. Any thoughts out there?
Total cholesterol: 212 mg/dL
HDL: 75mg/dL
LDL: 125 mg/dL
Triglycerides: 60 mg/dL
VLDL Cholesterol Cal: 12 mg/dL
I wonder who just paid $2.54 a share for a chunk of Amarin (after hours)?
You see a SPORT....I don't see a SPORT....
HDG you're killin' it...at some point KIWI is gonna be forced to yield. No wait, wait...what am I thinking, this is KIWI I'm talking about. KIWI will never yield!! Argue on GARTH...Shving!!!! LOL/IMO.
Sorry....Duped (but not by mgmt this time)....
Well IITF, all I can say to that is they better have a "private placement" lined up for this shelf offering cause it's going to take a long time to sell $40,000,000 worth of retail stock with volumes like we've been seeing....50K to 150K daily! I figure maybe a year and a half in the open market.....we'll be belly-up by then. LOL/JMO
